Can a hotel deny you free drinking water or use of their washroom?

No. Under the historic Indian Sarais Act of 1867, any individual can enter a hotel (even a 5-star hotel) and ask for drinking water or use their washroom for free. If a hotel refuse , you can legally request a reason. If necessary a complaint can be filed with Consumer Forums or local police, alleging a violation of dignity.
