Yes, a person with a disability can fully enroll and practice law in India. The Bar Council of India allows people with physical or learning disabilities to become lawyers, as long as they have completed their law degree and meet the basic enrolment rules. A disability does not stop anyone from becoming an advocate. In fact, the law supports equal rights and gives special help where needed.

During enrolment, the person may need to submit a disability certificate so that the Bar Council can understand what support they may require. Many courts also provide ramps, accessible seating, and other facilities. Disabled lawyers argue cases, give legal advice, and work just like any other advocate. Their skills, knowledge, and confidence matter more than their disability.
