The Laundromat Project advances artists and neighbors as change agents in their own communities.
Meet Our 2026 Create Change Cohort!

The Laundromat Project (The LP) is proud to announce its 20th annual Create Change Artist Development Program, welcoming 17 New York-based artists and cultural producers working in and with communities of color! Gathered around the theme Resonant Futures: Time as Echo, Memory, and Motion, this year’s cohort will explore time as a relational field where memory, ritual, cosmology, and imagination converge.

Apply for the Create & Connect Fund!

The Bed-Stuy Create & Connect Fund is a hyperlocal micro-grant program offered annually and managed by The LP. The Fund seeds and supports the creative ideas or civic actions of artists, cultural practitioners, community organizers, activists, and neighbors whose proposals aim to enrich community life in Bedford-Stuyvesant, Brooklyn. Applications close May 1.

Celebrate 20 Years of The LP!

The Laundromat Project (The LP) celebrates its 20th Anniversary over twelve months to honor the power of creativity and community that has shaped our work over the past two decades. Through art and culture, The LP has sparked transformation in Bed-Stuy and beyond, supporting artists and neighbors in re-imagining what’s possible.
