I got Mordechai's ashes back on Saturday, and they put him in a very handsome blue urn with a little gold ribbon and name tag. The apartment's different without him, it's weird. One thing I miss every day is Mordy waiting for me on the toilet while I shower...kind of funny, huh? Other than that life's been okay. At least I still have Herschel. (Lol @ his cone. He has to keep it on until where he was neutered heals.)

Sooo, yeah, long story short I've paid about $750 in miscellaneous vet fees this week. My kitty Mordechai is sick - the vet thinks it's an inflammation in his intestines. He's really weak, I have to force feed him and keep him hydrated and cool because he has a fever, and have to give him three different medications.

To help pay this bill, I'm offering to do $5 commissions - I'll draw you whatever you want! It'll be coloured and I'll try my best to make it something you're glad you spent money on. ($5 is the minimum, if you can spare more, I'd be grateful, but it's not expected.) Comment here for my Paypal and/or information, or send me a PM.

I haven't updated it in years, but here is my deviantART account if you want an example of my style or whatever!

My main goal (before I can even think about the higher costs) is to pay for the meds, which were $32, $28, and $19, so every little bit counts!

UPDATE: This morning (June 20), things took a bit of a turn for the worst. I took Mordechai to the vet for a check-up, they assessed his health and told me that they don't really know what's wrong. The sickness happened so suddenly, and there are so many things that could be wrong. A few of the potential illnesses were fatal, and others required hundreds of dollars worth of tests and medications. Rather than bide time and have Mordy suffer, I took the hit and had him put down :(

Thanks to those who have commissioned and are planning on commissioning! Although Mordechai isn't with me now, your money is still helping to cover the meds I gave him, as well as his cremation.

Holy shit, Hanson still exists :O I want to hate that fact...but their new music video is shot-for-shot my favourite scene from The Blues Brothers (with some obvious extensions since the Hanson song is 4 minutes long)...and Weird Al is playing the tambourine!

I have a migraine and feel like crap, but this sort of makes me feel good. Even though I still don't care for Hanson and Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi are much more attractive.

After work tonight I went out with mom to see Michael Jackson's This Is It. Maybe it's just because the theatre was freezing cold, but I got chills! Looks like it would have been a hell of a concert. I loved the newly-filmed videos for Smooth Criminal and Thriller...and the cherry-picker footage was kind of adorable X3 Cool stuff.

The Gate is getting a special-edition DVD release! I mean, I've never complained about my $2 bare-bones bargain-bin Gate DVD before, but I'm pretty stoked for an updated fancy-pants version.

I don't know how I feel about a 3D remake of The Gate, though. When did they announce that? I've never heard of it...(Though I can't honestly be surprised, can I?)

Well, I have a Dreamwidth journal now, thanks to insaneboingo ♥ I basically wanted one because everyone was making a big deal about them XD But also, I was thinking I'd like to start a doodles-and-artsy-stuff journal, so like...I guess I'll use it for that! Ha! There's no content up yet or anything, but if you want to be my ~*Dreamwidth friend*~ then feel free. IDK!

Pretty bummed to find out that Dreamwidth doesn't give you unlimited (or at least like, 25) icon slots! Six? What the balls, man.

In other news, my computer is insanely slow ever since I accidentally installed Rogers Online Protection. (Rogers is my internet provider, and this is a virus/spyware/firewall package.) So you know what, Rogers Online Protection? Fuck you, you fail! I'll uninstall this when I figure out how to get Norton back...

So turns out I'm in love with Gyakuten Saiban with a fiery passion now. It's my new favourite thing in the world XD I finished playing the second game a few nights ago (still haven't played the first because it's impossible to find in stores. I've been playing a lot of Donkey Kong Country 2 since I bought it. My left thumb is raw from button mashing on the d-pad. It's nuts. I'd kind of forgotten that when you save in most SNES games, it doesn't save your lives. It's a total bitch. I end up playing a level of DK2, finally beating it, and then using the two banana coins I somehow scrapped together to save my game. I used to be so good at videogames, and now I'm just...somewhat decent. Ha!

Oh, PS. Last night I StumbleUpon'd this neat-o site, MrPicassoHead.com. Try it out -- it amused me for like a half hour before I went to bed.

So I was tagged for this by wayuptomars a while ago, and also recently by without_pith on Facebook. I resisted until now, because thinking up 25 facts about myself is hard to do. But, well, I did it. So.

01) Reality shows are a guilty pleasure of mine. I loved Paris Hilton's My New BFF and The Simple Life! (But I never watch shows like Big Brother or those dating ones.)

02) My most recent girlcrush is on the girl in the Progressive commercials. Adorable!

03) I hate cheese, except on pizza. I'm actually kind of irrationally afraid of it. I will screech or tear up if it touches me :\ I'm mildly embarrassed about that.

04) Whenever I can (ie. don't have to get up early for work/appointments/what have you), I wake up at 10:00AM to listen to You Bet Your Ass, then watch The Price is Right and Family Feud. I love game shows!

05) I like to read books, but I don't do it very often because I'm a relatively slow reader and I get restless if I'm not completely engrossed in the story.

06) I'm a hopeless romantic and love love love all things romantic. Valentine's Day is one of my all-time favourite days of the year! ♥!!

07) I'm a Superfan™ of alliteration.

08) I used to want to be a lawyer, a talent agent, an antique appraiser, a cartoon animator and an illustrator before finally realizing that I loved fashion and wanted to design clothes. Going to fashion school made me realize how much I dislike runway fashion and my love of movies made me want to be a costume designer.

09) I'm pretty bad at studying and remembering languages, generally, but I'm currently teaching myself Japanese, and I think I'm doing pretty well with it! すごい!

10) As much as I enjoy playing videogames every so often, I think I enjoy watching other people play them a lot more. Ever since the SNES became outdated, I'm just not that great with the newfangled controls and 3D graphics.

11) I've been eating more and more Asian foods lately (thanks to Amandar)! My latest food love is wasabi.

12) I hate babies. Like, so much. Sorry; if you have one, I'll be nice to it and stuff, but I'll be counting the seconds 'til I can GTFOutta there.

13) I think I look better in glasses than without them, and I hate contacts, but sometimes I wish I could have contacts anyway, so that I could wear cool sunglasses.

14) I hate asking store clerks if they have what I'm looking for in stock. I find it to be embarrassing and a hassle, because very often, I'm looking for something so obscure that they've never heard of it anyway.

15) I have a social anxiety problem, which, for whatever reason, is the worst when I have to talk to people whom I don't know (or know very well) on the phone.

16) I'm in love with blue lobsters, they're sooo pretty! Also related, you can buy blue crawfish for home aquariums, and I really want one.

17) I love parody porn, and am starting somewhat of a collection of it XD I'm on the Great Hunt for one of the rarest pornos ever, Ron Jeremy's Super Hornio Brothers.

18) I'm not too proud to say that I'm a tremendous crybaby. It's actually one of my favourite things about me, though I don't know why. It must be annoying to others.

19) I wish I could sing. I love singing, but only when I have the house to myself and no one can hear me. I'm not perfect at it by any means :P But I'd love to be able to make people happy by singing.

20) As much as a zombie apocalypse would suck, I think it would be interesting to see how I'd fare during one.

21) One of my favourite things ever is waking up to the sun beaming into my room, and staying all cuddling up under a bunch of blankets for a while.

22) I'm really into home decor lately, to the point that I'm collecting all sorts of household things for my future apartment. I love retro 50s design, and romantic gothic/Edwardian/lolita styles.

23) I hate beaches, but I think they're romantic, so I always want to walk along them at sunset like in the movies :B

24) I still have the three bottles of Dan Aykroyd wine that I got for Christmas. Anyone who knows how much I love Dan Aykroyd wine may find that shocking.

25) I'm currently itching to go to Toronto to do some shopping. I can't wait! I want to go to Chinatown Centre for some Japanese-imported Kit-Kats sooooo badly.

ANYWAY, Happy New President Day! I hope Obama can be everything that America needs - I believe in him and am kind of jealous that Canada has a Harper (boo!) instead of an Obama (rah!). Let's see if his inauguration speech can make me cry as much as his acceptance speech did ;P
