I hate writing mini-biographies. Okay, I'm Lisa or LariLee (pronounced Laurie Lee, not Larry Lee, okay?) and I do some writing. I started a live journal to post thoughts and ideas and update information. I doubt if many people will read this, but it's the latest thing, so I have to try it. I have a little dog and a big cat. I'm 42, disabled, currently single and waiting for my Potions master to come rescue me from a mundane, Muggle life. Or at least bring me some really good drugs, er, potions.
I enjoy reading (esp. the Potterverse, old Stephen King, any Dean Koontz, and the new Dhampir series by the Hendree husband and wife team); I like old rock; I love crafts; I enjoy cooking; and I adore gardening. My sport of choice? Dog shows. I believe all people should have equality. I do some drabbling of fiction and product reviews. Is this enough about me?
Friending Policy
Please feel free to friend me and I usually friend back. Leaving a comment on an entry is the same as saying "friend me". I like friends. I'm really rotten about commenting on your LJ though. It's nothing personal, but sometimes I don't check because I am a bad pooey person. Actually, it's because I'm usually doing other stuff like administrative stuff at Sycophant Hex or sneaking off to Yahoo games or writing. Okay, I suck. But you can friend me if you don't mind a sucky friend. :-)
Great Plans was nominated for two Multifaceted Awards (Round Three). It won in the category of Rapture and was a runner-up in the category of Best Snape Fic.
A Right Bastard was a runner-up in the Multifaceted Awards (Round Three) in the category of Identity.
Words cannot properly express how thankful, pleased and happy this makes me. Thank you all! I don’t have to pull out my Susan Lucci speech, but instead can say this every bit as sincerely and excitedly as Sally Field -- “You like me! You really like me!”
And I’ll have to say it again. I am totally blown away by Round Four of the Multifaceted Awards.
Round Five of the Multifaceted Awards really blew me away! I’m so honored.
And Aftermath was a runner-up in the Alliance category and a winner in the Shyness category.
And For Your Pleasure was a runner-up in both the Aphrodisia and Endurance categories.
Thank you all for your wonderful support! I hope I can continue to entertain you all (as long as I do not have to sing. You really don’t want me to sing.)
Though I choose to no longer associate with Perfect Imagination, I'll leave my creditatials up. It proves I did pass the test and I am capable of beta reading. However, please understand, I am no longer listing myself in their beta directory and I share no affiliation with them.
Something else to take up room.
As much as I hate doing this, I'm going to do it anyway. I am accepting PayPal donations to help enable me to go to Phoenix Rising and Prophecy. I have the tickets, I have a bed. I simply need to get there and back and maybe eat. You are under no obligation to donate. Anyone who does donate will have my eternal gratitude. I solemnly promise any money collected will be used solely for fandom pursuits and I won't waste any on silly purchases like groceries or medicine.
In my defense, I just want to say doing this is extremely difficult and I thought it over long and hard for several weeks before doing so. I really hope I haven't offended anyone.
