Unveiling Darkness
Truly knowing your enemy
Believers of Jesus Christ all around the world know who Satan is, but do they really know? We all grew up under the impression that Satan is a little red man, with horns and a tail, and is even depicted as so in cartoons. And while Satan is our enemy, that is not an accurate understanding of him. His corruption and temptation engulf people like a disease, he is the father of deception, lies, and rebellion, and he whispers into the ears of the people on earth. But Satan was not always “Satan”, he was once an archangel in heaven, named Lucifer, meaning “morning star” and “the one who brings light”. And even today Satan disguises himself as the beautiful angel he once was, having a very attractive outward appearance but a dark rebellious truth to him.
The Bible describes Lucifer in Ezekiel 28:13 “You were in Eden, the garden of God. Every kind of precious stone was your covering: Ruby, Topaz, and diamond. Beryl, Onyx, and Jasper. Sapphire, Turquoise, Emerald, and Gold. Your timbrels and pipes were prepared for you on the day you were created.” Something to point out in that verse is the term “timbrels and pipes”, it is generally accepted that Lucifer was likely responsible for orchestrating the music in heaven. This would make sense, seeing as he still uses that talent today, giving it to those who are willing to sell their soul and become idols. Rappers and idolized singers that are often worshiped, help with the agenda of Satan by corrupting the audience. Many people hear the lyrics to a song and think nothing of it, but it's often showcasing blasphemy and satanism. This has become a bad habit for people, who fall into the ways of the world.
Many adults make it seem as if Satan resides in hell today, making children bring up the infamous question “Why do bad things happen?” Because if Satan is the one who tempts us and corrupts us, how can he do all that from hell? Well, Satan isn't in hell but in the Aer, meaning lower atmosphere that coincides with the earth's surface in Greek, not the air, English for the upper atmosphere. This means that Satan is ruling here on earth, spreading chaos wherever he can. It is important to remember that Satan is not an equal but opposite force to God, Satan is active, but not omnipresent, he is intelligent, but not omniscient. In short, Satan does not match up to God in any category and will be taken down. Satan has no new tricks under the sun. The more you know about your enemy and his ways, the more you are able to counteract his offensives.
