Since the cable in my room went out, I've been listening to A LOT of new music, thought I'd share with you guys what I've been listening to lately! (yay finally a happy post! :D)

This is my favorite kind of song; slow and pretty and draws you in, but then you hear the lyrics and think, "...hey, wait a minute..."

THIS SONG. This song made me start listening to Metallica. This song is perfection. Even as I type this, I am delaying finding my next song just so I can listen to this one all the way through. I believe I drunkenly fangirled over this song while helping Susannah move. THAT MAKES IT SPECIAL, OKAY? JUST LISTEN TO IT.

I'll admit, I'm not wowed by Amanda Palmer. I know Sus loves her, and I get why, Palmer is an excellent performer. I just think my tastes maybe run a little different. But I love this particular song, mainly because it's so damn RELEVANT to my life right now, and I love the hectic energy of it.

It wouldn't be a me post without some MCR. This is my favorite song off the new album, it's crazy and fun, and well, who doesn't love a good anti-party party song? XD (ignore the lyrics in the video, they're wrong, this was just the best quality audio I could find)

Atreyu is one of my new favorites. I love their sound! Though I do sometimes want to rename them Guitar Solos Out of Fucking Nowhere. They do love their random unnecessary guitar solos.

Okay, I think I've listened to this song like fifty billion times. It's one of my favorites from Avenged Sevenfold (other than A Little Piece of Heaven, but I didn't post that one because, well, it's kinda really graphic).

This guy was popular a few years ago for a song called Collide. TBH, he sounds a lot like James Marsters would sound, if James could actually sing as well as he thinks he can.

Writer-people on my flist: comment_fic needs help.

What is comment_fic? Basically, every day, there's a theme posted. You can then make prompts for fics based on that theme--any fandom, any pairing, any prompt. And, of course, you can answer the prompts other come up with, as a comment to that prompt (so there's a limit to how long your fic is).

All the prompts that are answered go into an index, and all the prompts that aren't answered go into a "lonely prompt" list. However, lately, there have been way more prompts given than received. So, you could imagine that the "lonely prompt" list is getting a little out of hand.

So, if you think the comm might be up your alley, please go join and take a look at the lonely prompts. They really need homes!

Don't let the title of the comm scare you--your prompts and fic don't have to be porny, or even shippy. In fact, lately, there have been lots of fic that haven't been either. ^.^

(and leave a couple prompts of your own, if you like--today's theme is St. Patrick's Day ^.^)
