I've got a couple of questions about the... curses, I guess.

What kind of stuff can they make us do? A little creative writing is one thing, but somethin' tells me that's not all there is.

How long do you figure we have until the next one? 'Cause I keep... hearing stuff. Ticking, inside my head. Like a clock. Don't know if this is a curse or not, but it started just after I got here.

Hey. Anyone there? Tifa?

[The image loads a second later, his face partially obscured by biker goggles and a mess of windswept blond spikes. After a pause, he leans forward; there’s a light jingling sound and the thrumming of an engine in the immediate background fades to silence, although the sound of the carousel can still faintly be heard.]

Think there’s been a mistake. I’m not dead, and I don’t remember going to sleep--[he looks toward the carousel]--but that’s definitely somethin' out of a nightmare.

But even that doesn’t make any sense. I don’t recognize this place at all. [A pause, and he’s still not looking at the device even though the volume of his voice raises slightly.] Who brought me here? What do you want with me?

[Quiet and humorless.] Heh--assuming it’s not all in my head.

[And louder, again.] Listen, if you can hear me, answer. I just want to know what’s going on.
