Hey guys.

I know this is a little late, but I think it's pretty important. I don't know what all you guys know about the propositions in your states, but I'm just writing a quick post because I want to make sure that you look into them. I don't how many of you are aware of this, but there is a proposition in California to ban gay marriage that has had a LOT of smear ads put on TV. Sure, your state may be a solid red state or a solid blue state, but in close, controversial propositions (both statewide and countywide) every vote really can make a difference. So please, you guys. Look into them and go out and vote tomorrow. You are the change that you create, and you are the change I want to see.

So gobsmackit was telling me about gay clown VFest pictures, and I decided Ross should have a banana shirt. SADLY, SUCH A THING DOES NOT EXIST. And I tried to describe how it would be made to her, but she totally was not having it. BUT LISTEN. She wisely brought up the fact that banana chips are brittle, and so it would have to be like those wooden tribal bracelet knockoffs, where, when unworn, it's small and close together, and then when you put it on, elastic between each piece stretches and that way the pieces don't have to. Or you could just print a repeating design on a shirt, BUT WHATEVER THAT'S BORING. Like, seriously. IT WOULD SO HAPPEN.

...I just really like the idea of a banana shirt.

Hello all!

1. I am back from my trip of awesome, and yes, it did live up to its name. There was a lot of traveling involved, but it was totally worth it. For the most part I just did touristy things in Toronto with aknockout. And also a family BBQ (we made it worth it with Arrested Development, it's all good). And also relaxing times with gobsmackit on the Cape (relegate!). I think they have both found that I am quite good at making things up. And also I saw Adam Green and it was amazing? And we sang White Women together? And I met a German dude at the bus station and pestered him about songs on the radio and we philosophized. And then I stayed with a random family in Denver. ESSENTIALLY: JEN IS AWESOME. SHLEE IS AWESOME. ADAM GREEN IS AWESOME. So I'm kind of freaking out right now. Life has been treating me pretty awesome lately, but I know that some people are having some trying times, and I give them all my love and, if I can, I will try to get a smile from you. Me? I'm about to go on a trip that is going to be absolutely amaaaaazing, BUT. I am freaking out. BECAUSE I LEAVE IN FIVE HOURS AND WHAT IF SOMETHING GOES WRONG AND JHKFD;ASDFKJDF;ASDFJKDS. Fingers crossed it goes well AND NOTHING WILL GO WRONG, KNOCK ON WOOD!

Anyways. Signed up for classes for this semester. I'm pretty sure that anyone that is not me would find my classes completely ridic, and they kind of are, but I am so excited. EXCITED FOR RUSSIAN FOLK TALES! AND OBSERVATORY VISITS! Seriously, guys. Seriously.

Hello all! Off hiatus-like status, that's what's up.

I was thinking recently about how weird friend time lines are. Like, seriously. Do you ever just stop and find yourself boggling at the fact that you've only known [insert name here] for only x amount of time? Yet at the same time it feels like those beginning memories were just yesterday. It screws with the mind, I tells ya! To switch subjects completely, Adam Green needs to come back to the West Coast soon. Please. OR VEGAS. OH MAN GUYS HOW AWESOME WOULD ADAM GREEN IN VEGAS BE? Oh man.

Anyone want to recommend some recent(ish) books? I'm going up to Montana in July (it's awesome! calming! BUT NEEDS READING MATERIAL!) and, you know, not browsing blindly through a bookstore would be cool.

So, even though it's supposed to be like 50 degrees tomorrow, I am very happy with Spring so far. It really does liven people up (though in California, the weather doesn't really change, hahaha). I'm going to a comedy show this week. It is my firm belief that comedy makes everything better. Honestly, when Comedy Central runs marathons of Comedy Central Presents, it is impossible not to smile.

Man, I really love 311. Sometimes I don't listen to them for a while and then I hear a song and I immediately just want to listen to their entire collection. Things that make them awesome: they're always optimistic, they're wonderful to their fans, their live show is brimming with energy, and they just steadily produce enjoyable music.
