I am spending this year's end similar to the last one's, in Denmark, same house, almost the same people, different food. We are going Tex-Mex this year instead of Tapas and I'll start with the preparations now. Have a save night and enjoy 2014!

Alright, I guess if I have to be ill, timing this time is spot on: just at the start of fall TV season premiere week... Already watched the new HIMYM and looking forward to a tiny new show tomorrow!

Will finally watch the season finale of Vampire Diaries, as there is a shiny new ep coming out soon!
What I am actually in the midst of is Teen Wolf, re-watch and fanfic wise. So pretty!

I caught a little bit of the synchronised diving world championship today and boy, oh boy, that has to be the gayest sport ever! All these muscle-y twink, shaved everywhere, only clad in teeny-tiny speedos (well, impressively clad in tiny speedos), taking a shower together after their perfectly synchronised jump off a ledge...

Today was cold! We had 30°C on Wednesday, and today 13!!!!! And on top of that, it was drizzling and raining and so, so wet all day. And I was working, running around Potsdam with my tourist all day. Am still cold. Despite the tea and tomatoe soup I had earlier. Brrrrrr.

Was that the best episode of TVD ever or what?

WHAT? Jenna a vampire? Damon got bitten by Tyler? Tyler is back? And Damon is a big brother to Stefan, saving his girlfriend and the girl he loves. All in one ep. I am flabbergasted. That was one hell of a ride. Wow!!!! Will have to watch again, and I'll take a look what you all had to say about it and the I will watch again and again and I can't wait till next week. This is torture, clearly!

I loved Damon giving Elena blood, of course he doesn't trust Elijah, and I didn't quite get Stefan but ok, I think I will. And I am so sorry for Jenna but I can really see the fantabulous dynamics with her and Alaric. Wow.
Matt, you will turn into badass hunter and will have conversations with Alaric aplenty. I hope it makes for a more rounded character in the future, they didn't really show us anything, did they?
And where are Bonnie and baby bro? Huh? Not even a phone conversation? And where is Elijah off to? And why the fuck was no-one with Jenna???? Poor sweet girl.

Well, Elena won't get killed and there better be some potion or ritual or something for Damon. And I am sorry, Stefan, but I think you are out and Damon is in. Even after the stunt he pulled. He does risk his life, you? not so much. I had a feeling like they had both planned this but I don't know. It was more in the calling Damon and he being all 'little brother' and 'I'll take care of it' and then there will be Damon!pain when he watched Elena and Stefan reunite. Only maybe with Stafan eventually stepping back (because of the no-ever-lasting-future with Elena or the she should be with someone normal) and then she will eventually turn to ~~Spike~~ Damon because normal doesn't do it for her and she needs some monster in her man...

I freaking loved this episode. Loved. It.

blow-dry, and when I feel fancy I use curlers, easy and the result is very pretty

Well, I only know New York and would love to go there again but from what I know I could also imagine Chicago

historian working at a museum/curator

there's a party on Saturday which promises to be big fun and then I'll be meeting my girlfriends for crepes and galettes on Sunday

I am crying here! That was beautiful! Thank you for taking a step back and not keep on saying it will be better after high school (as touching and admirably those videos are, and don't stop with those!) but seriously, we cannot endure this shit anymore! Yes, kids might not be too great to their peers at times no matter why but tolerance can start in school, too! So, thank you, Glee.

Ok, so my favourite character of all Glee is Kurt's dad. Seriously, he is real and doesn't really know how to deal with his very queer son but he LOVES him and tries to be a good father. Really tries. Not just pretending. When he defended Kurt and all gays actually to Finn it was such a testament of love and understanding. And seeing his own faults and making up for them. Kurt and me both cried.
I think he is the best character on the show.

LOVED this week. Santana can sing, baby! And seeing Kurt so hurt broke me a little.

And loved last week too. How fantastic was Dream On with Neil Patrick Harris. The boys were great! And Piano Man too. Have watched that episode roughly 4 times just last week. Was a nice birthday present!

Everyone who is not watching Glee: you are really missing out. It's a great show with strong characters playing it light most of the time and having it's strongest moments when being serious. It's freaks and geeks and queers in high school singing and dancing brilliantly! The music is too much fun and Glee has the best PFLAG parent since Debbie Novotny. Also: Joss Whedon directed last week's episode which starred Neil Patrick Harris.

That enough to get y'all watchin'?

The German version of Dancing with the Stars is on right now, Let's Dance, and Rolfe Scheider from Germany's Next Topmodel is on it! (He was part of the Jury last year)
So, the show is taped in Berlin and Rolfe actually trains in MY FUCKING YOGA STUDIO!!!!!! He lives around the corner at "Casting alley" (so-called Kastanienallee) and that's where my studio is!!! Oh. My. God.

This show is soooo much worse than the American version, come on, there are soap stars, some German actors I don't know, a footballer's wife, people I've never seen in my life moderating and then:
Brigitte Nielsen.

And everyone is so gay! The dancers, the Jury, the D-list "stars". And I love with how much ease that gayness is addressed! Because that is something that irks me on the American version sometimes, they had a moment this week with Louis Van Amstel and that forbidden love them of his and Niecy's dance thought.

So, yeah, I have to probably watch it, especially because I will come back from Yoga Friday evening to see this on my telly.

Bones is an awesome show. And really, good TV has ruined me for a lot of generic movies... I need my capable, strong women, cannot stand the half-assed "throw a woman in that role to generate interest or sexiness" crapshit and I think Joss ruined me in that way... His work has been such a big part of my life for 14! freaking years. And Bones just takes this further.
So there is my love: strong women, mentally and bodily, and gay boys being pretty! ;)

Wow, I really liked this ep. I think it was the best this season. They had a Terminator reference! Sam meeting his mom was just wonderful. I loved them all together, spending quality family time the four of them. Of course their memory had to be wiped and all but at least Sam got to meet their tough mom. Thanks, SPN, for at least having that one great woman around. Who can fight with the best of them. But yeah, all those in-depth-feelings coming to life, there were tears. And how pretty was Jensen here? So. So. Pretty. Couldn't help but stare.

Oh. Wow. That latest episode of I totally loved it. Fantastic stuff with Gordon Gordon and Sweets talking it out about Bones and Brennan, how wonderful to have that unrequited love out in the open, at least for some! That's what I really admire with this series, they deal with that weird friendship/possible relationship/partners stuff so well and so extensively! I enjoyed last week as well, especially that last scene, I think I smiled so much it reached my ears! And this week I had to laugh so hard at Gordon Gordon with his funnies and then Brennan tries to take over a little bit of Booth responsibilities what with the talking and the making jokes and all. It's just soooo good to see them together.

I want more, more, more!!!!!

I also enjoyed Glee. This week was my fav episode so far.

Happy Fall of the Wall Anniversary! Part 2

After this celebration, I am very moved by all the video clips from 89, and a little annoyed by the weird ceremony with Thomas Gottschalk. And I am not a fan of the dominoes, feels a bit trivial. But ok, they had to do something fro pictures.

I went to the afternoon walk over the former frontier on Bornholmer Strasse, where the first people were allowed to cross the border.

Take a look at the video below, they show how the wall came down at that exact spot, it's with English subtitles, and if you have no real idea why we crazy Germans are making such sentimental posts today, and why everyone is talking about this anniversary, or even just want to get an idea how Germans were feeling 20 years ago, you will know after you watch this.

This was quite an emotional day. Being a Wessi studying in the East, having a best friend and room mates from the East, and of course many of my friends were born on either side of the wall, there was much sharing about growing up in the East or West. I am very glad to have had the opportunity to go to the East and to be living in Berlin now, just 10 minutes away from the former border on the Böse Brücke, the check point Bornholmer Strasse.
