Warnings: This is if the player character in KotOR I was a light-sided female, so it's technically AU from canon. Major spoilers for KotOR I, as well as the fate of those characters in KotOR 2.
Notes: This actually spawned off of the KotOR I mix I made for them, but I’ve been working on that one for like 3 years now and I’m still not happy with it, so who knows if that’ll ever be shared. That one was called Trust, because trust was at the heart of their problems in that game. For the second one, it’s all about Faith. Faith that she’s still alive, that she’s coming back, that he’s doing the right thing by staying behind and protecting the Republic—despite not really understanding why. I tried to end it on a hopeful note at least!

Sorry about including two Owl City songs, I normally hate doing that. I originally replaced Vanilla Twilight with Bruno Mars’s Talking to the Moon, but I didn’t feel like it meshed as smoothly with the rest of the mix. I threw that track in the Box in case you want it anyway, because choices are nice.

Okay, so whole thing back when September was like PETER, YOU AND OURLIVIA WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE BABIES, ALTLIVIA IS THE WRONGLIVIA FOR YOU didn't make any sense, because they're from different universes. The only reason Peter got anywhere near Ourlivia is September messed up Walternate's Peter cure.

UNLESS, what September meant was: Henrietta the cortexiphan baby is the only one who can stop the Observers. Henry was normal so he would've been relatively useless.

The awkward moment when you ask a random stranger if he’s Superman and he suddenly rips his shirt open.

The fact there is continuity in this show brings me Glee, even if it led to AQUALAD BEING FORGOTTEN IN THE DESERT ;____; Poor guy. I want to know what he was mumbling in Atlantean. Something about Tula and Atlantis 6 months ago... I feel like it was a conversation with Tula about whether he should leave her and go be Aqualad or not. :'( GAH.
Only thing I really didn't like in this episode: Megan abandoning Aqualad to go save Superboy. THE GUY IS DYING IN THE DESERT ;___; FRIENDSHIP FAIL
But besides that, I was waiting for more proof that SB/MM wasn't just one-sided, and this episode definitely got me on board. ^^

They're coming on with the canon shipping awfully quickly. TBH, I prefer it when it's more subtle for a while. Really hope they don't do the "breaking them up for drama" thing that goes on so often -.-
The only thing Robin remembered was Batman's "maintain radio silence." Batcommands are too strong to erase with simple mind control.
(Anyone else keep hearing Khary Payton(Aqualad)'s Cyborg voice for the nameless goons?)
I never realized how much "Psimon" would sound like "Simon" once you said it out loud. *fail*

Note: I started this entry about a year ago, and it's kind of unfinished, but I'm posting it anyway.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic is a not-so-guilty pleasure/obsession of mine lately. My friend insisted I play it, and once I started I got hooked. Crazy person he is, he wanted me to play it 30 hours straight, and while I probably could have, it was midterm week. Which was a terrible time to start playing it, really, but I rarely think these things through.

The game hooked me mainly because of 3 reasons.
1. TERRIFIC story.
Every minute you're learning more and more about the world and the backstories of all the characters. Even after 2 playthroughs (LSF[Light Side Female] both times. I tried Darkside, but I just... couldn't. XD Fail, I know) I know there are still things I missed.

2. Journal full of tasks to complete.
The main reason why I couldn't stop playing? I have a serious love for lists. I don't know why. But as you go through the game, you keep unlocking these side quests, and I was so determined to finish them all.
Friend: Just get off the planet already. -_-
Me: BUT I HAVEN'T BEAT BENDAK STARKILLER YET D:
Friend: Whatever, you'll just get dark side points.
Me: :{

3. Romance sub-plot(s).
I've had the thought many times while playing various video games that it would be hilarious if you could flirt with NPCs.

I don't know what he's saying, but by god my character would be checking him out. 8D
So the fact that in this game you could actually flirt with the NPCs? GOLD. GOLD TO ME! :D Joking aside, they are each very sweet stories, and partially directing them was a really lovely detail.

SPOILERS. SPOILERS LIKE WHOA.
This game has one of the best twists of all time, and trust me when I say you REALLY don't want to be spoiled for it.

Light side female!Revan forevaaaa! :D I tried playing Dark side. I really did. In a few months I plan to give it a go re-playing as a guy and I WILL do DS then. (Or else, me. >_>)

Canderous
Aaahaha, I adore Canderous. In real life, I'm generally against war, and think fighting for "honor" and "glory" is sort of, well, BS. But if I had to be in the middle of a war, Canderous would be the kind of guy I'd want on my team. I liked having Carth with me for being, well, Carth, but when I actually had a decent fight to get into, I'd switch him out for Canderous. There's something very comforting about how... solid he is. When we got back to the Hawk after the Revan reveal, and Carth was freaking out at me, I had to smile at Canderous' reaction. Of course he would stick by Revan purely for being an excellent fighter. Thanks, bro! :D

I don't think I'm very good at being a lesbian. XD; I never got her to fall for me. Probably needed to take her around with me more often, but...I liked having Jolee in my party better. I have such a bad gaydar in real life, but I did figure out she was starting to hit on me my first go through, so I was rather proud of that. XD

Aw, Bastila. When she first showed up, I hated her. Me, Carth, Mission and Zaalbar had been having a grand old time, and then she shows up to be like PFFT, YOU DIDN'T SAVE ME, PEASANT, I COULD HAVE GOTTEN OUT BY MYSELF. *TOSSES HAIR* But after a while she grew on me. If anything, this game made me NOT want to be a Jedi. I'LL BE YOUR FRIEND, BASTILLA ;__;

Carth
Oh, where to even begin on Carth. How about with a parody?

Yes he's whiny and difficult, but I adore Carth. XD He's just so fun to bother.

I know there's a lot of complaining about how at least Male!Revan can end up with Bastila no matter what side he chooses, but if you go Dark Side as a female, you have to kill Carth (or, at best in the cut ending, die together with him on the Star Forge). And yeah, that is hella depressing (why Carth, whyyyy couldn't you just be fabulously evil with us!). But that isn't who he is. He's.... a lot like Booth from Bones, actually, thinking about it just now. Just as Booth wholeheartedly believes in his country, Carth is completely loyal to the Republic. Even when he loves you and is risking everything to try and turn your character back to the light, he would rather die than turn his back on the Republic and go over to the darkside.

Everybody hates Rachel

I'm supposed to be working on my final animation project right now, but somehow I got sidetracked thinking about Glee and got so frustrated that I had to come rant about it. Spoilers up to this week's episode, "Special Education."

This week's episode featured New Directions's second year at Sectionals. It also featured stormy seas for Finn and Rachel, which is a ship I fully do not support, so I'm not exactly against Ryan Murphy being his usual troll self and lying about them being together for the whole season. It also featured pretty much EVERYONE finding a way to hate on Rachel. First Quinn told her she wanted to punch her in the face every time she opens her mouth. Then Santana dropped the bomb that she and Finn slept together last year, and he lied about it to Rachel. Then Mr Schue yelled at her in front of everyone. Way to be pro, teach. Later in the episode, we find out that absolutely everyone in the club knew about Finn and Santana, and no one told Rachel because, according to Santana, nobody in the club actually likes her. Ouch! And the only person to stand up and admit he kinda likes her was Puck of all people.

The only person besides Puck who seemed to be getting along with Rachel this episode was Kurt, who has defected to the friendlier Dalton Academy's Glee club. You'd think that competitive Rachel would be all for cutting ties with the enemy, but in fact they share a few scenes that feel almost tonally wrong for the show, because Whoa, people actually being friends. Rachel dropped a few lines that I feel were really telling about her character, namely that
a) She's being friendly to Kurt now because he isn't competition.
b) That she fantasizes about people finally realizing how great she really was at her funeral. How depressing is that image?
"Wait, Kurt isn't competition? But he's on the opposing team!" you say. Not what she meant. Rachel has consistently received the message that she isn't wanted. People want to punch her in the face when she talks. But when she sings, people listen. They cheer. Kurt was competition for attention within the Glee club. She's obsessive about perfection, but winning isn't really her end goal here. She wants to be loved, and she sees singing as her only pathway to that. Can somebody please just give the girl a hug?

Oh, wanted to add: No matter how terrible Santana was, the bitch of the episode award goes to Mercedes. The more Mercedes talks, the more I want to cry for humanity. What happened to your BFF-dom with Quinn? Quinn, who was freaking out because she was having flashbacks to going into labor at Regionals, and you supported her by.... offering to steal her solo. Ah, friendship. What is wrong with this show? o_O More importantly, why can't I stop watching it???

Crossovers are my obsession, but I never seem to do anything with them.

So recently I found animorphs and practically swallowed a lung in excitement to find that there was an active Animorphs community still around. This summer I plan on re-reading the series. Right now I'm on #7.

This series was such a big part of my childhood. It had a lot of "fandom" firsts for me, before I even really knew there was such a thing as fandom. First OTP (Rachel/Tobias 4eva! :D Though I find I'm gaining interest in Rachel/Marco this time around. Don't worry Tobias, I still love you too!), first fictional crush (Marco! XD <333), and no series ending (book, tv, anything) has ever made me as deeply sad as the last book.

Well, we'll see how this goes.

You probably wouldn't think I was the kind of guy who would cry. Mostly I don't. Mostly I make jokes about things. It's better to laugh than to cry, don't you think?

Manon suggested a few different ideas, but post-series ninjas stuck in my mind. I remembered one of my old ideas and worked off of that. Love how their relationship evolved from where they were when I first drew this: [link]
Even though these two didn't end the series together, I loved their bond. It was nice to be proved right after all that time of people saying we were crazy: They do work really well together, and they understand each other. They're great best friends at least, and who knows, it could grow into something else one day.

I don't know what Topher's doing, and in his panic, neither does he. Somewhere between a wave/high five paired with shooter fingers? Claire of course thinks he's pointing at her scars and babbling because of them, and is displeased.

If I redid this, I'd probably redraw Clarie completely with a different pose. Oh well, I completely love Topher's spaz attack, so I don't mind so much.

These two are totally my not-so-guilty pleasure ship. Twisted Pygmalion? Aaaangst. <3

Found an old fic in one of my notebooks and finished it up. I don't write too often, but I love getting inside a character's head exercises.

Eventually Cyborg and Beast Boy got tired of being pummeled in the face with dirty socks, and all three agreed to call it an overall draw (though Raven had yet to be hit by either of them). The boys were heading up to grab a midnight snack and play some video games [read: recover their manly dignity]. They invited the Stankball Queen along, but she declined, waving her very own stanky crown for them to go, saying she needed to mediate. They let her go, though the jokes they were still cracking as they left were slightly undercut by the question in both pairs of eyes: Will you be okay?

Worry about me and I’ll castrate you, her own eyes replied, so the two male Titans gladly sped off down the hall, racing each other to the elevator.

Now that she was alone, Raven began to attempt to come to terms with the day; to accept what had happened and leave no unnecessary feelings to affect her in the future. Today was going to be especially difficult. The fact that she had allowed herself to be distracted by playing a game, and actually had fun was a testament to that fact. There was a lot of shame and embarrassment, and those were hard to tuck away. She had put a child in danger, put all her friends—not to mention their home—in danger, all because she had been enough of a fool to trust the flattering words of a stranger from a storybook. She burned in shame. Wasn’t she supposed to be able to sense things? Shouldn’t she have known he was lying to her? Was she that weak?

Which brought her to her other glaring embarrassment of the night.

She had initiated physical contact—with Beast Boy of all people—and he had pushed her away. Her cheeks flamed abruptly, and she redoubled her focus on her mantra. She could go all the way into her mind (to the place Cyborg had jokingly dubbed “Nevermore”), but the idea of facing judgment from the brutally honest pieces of herself after a day of blunders like this was too much.

She didn’t have a complete handle on her empathetic abilities yet, but she had been so sure—the way he acted around her, combined with the foggy glimpses of his feelings—she had been sure the changeling felt something for her beyond casual friendship. Of course, such feelings could only end badly; there was no way she could be allowed to reciprocate, and even if she could—“Azarath. Metrion. Zinthos.” —She didn’t allow herself to finish that thought.

But then he had showed such maturity—and in her defense, she had been in an extremely vulnerable state—she had allowed herself to give him a little bit of hope that his efforts weren’t in vain.

And he had rejected it.

But there was no reason why that should bother her, Raven lectured herself. She was a half-demon with unstable emotionally based powers, and even if she could afford to reciprocate such feelings, there was no way… Beast Boy, of all people! Her silly infatuation with Aqualad had been bad enough. So maybe she was wrong, and he didn’t have a crush on her. That was fine. No, that was definitely good. The only thing that should bother her was that she had been wrong. She very much did not like being wrong, that was true. But if today had taught her anything, it was when to be humble. She had been wrong about plenty of things today, and compared to the rest, this was relatively small. So it shouldn’t bother her.

But still… it did.

Gar's POV. They're both scarred, and have been looked down on by other members of the superhero community (she's the daughter of a demon, and comes off as cold even though she's just a shy empath-He's seen as not taking life seriously, when that's how he's dealing with having seen way too much tragedy), but they live crazy lives, and if they can find love and make it work amidst all that, he'll be damned if he's going to let anyone's opinion get in their way.

Raven's POV. Intoxicated with the beginnings of new love.

Raven's POV. Watching Gar try to lead the team and watch out for her in fights has made her feel that she's more of a distraction to him than anything. She's been by his side through all this, but she starts to think maybe it's not where she should be. After finding out about the Titan's traitor, she goes off to take care of it on her own, so Gar won't need to be bothered.

Back on the team together, trying to find where they stand when emotions they haven't dealt with are still lurking beneath the surface.

Raven regrets the split, and wishes they could get back together, but the mess with her brothers and her turning evil again makes her feel she can't do it. She buries her feelings and pushes him away.
