Notes: This work was written for Kradam Reverse Big Bang. I was a little hesitant to take on the challenge at the start but I'm so glad that I did. Youkeyh created a wonderful piece which inspired the story, and then she created so many more pieces. I've been thoroughly spoiled by all the work that she's put in. Please say thank you to her and praise her artwork.

I also had two great betas: aramuin and auroradream. Ara put up with so much whimpering from me in terms of trying to get this finished and then fixing all my mistakes. Auroradream went through the mostly fixed version and caught the last few errors. Any remaining errors are mine.

Finally, to the Kradam Reverse Big Bang challenge: Thank you. I needed to get back into writing after hitting a the world's biggest writing block and you helped me to break it down brick by brick. Next project will be the Kradam Big Bang :)

Stories are due Sunday, January 20th, which is just under two weeks away. (YES! that is an extension for authors - I still need pinch hitters for two pieces and wanted to give everyone a little bit of additional time).

The posting period will be from February 1st and February 14th. I will do our best to avoid dates authors and artists have told me they have a conflict posting on. Those who need more time to write I will try to schedule later. While I don’t mind anyone requesting a later posting date I can’t guarantee you will get one. Pinch hitters will get the first priority for the later posting dates.

However, if you would like an earlier posting date please feel free to request that!

Author and artists please get together to see if you might have any conflicts in your dates. The posting schedule will be put up at least a week before posting to give everyone time to get ready (posting instructions will go up after the posting schedule goes up). Round 2: Pinch Hitter Sign Ups

We are already in need of a pinch hitter and to prepare for needing more here are pinch hitter sign ups.

Pinch hitters will be given additional time to communicate with their artists and write their stories. After signing up if an art prompt becomes available that matches their preference you will be sent an email asking if you could pinch hit for it. You can say yes or no to that prompt, it's your choice.

To sign up as an pinch hitter author please comment with the following:

Tropes/Genres/Kinks can refer to anything in the art or description that we can better use to match pinch hitters based on. Things like Alternate Universe, Crossover/Fusion, and Dub-con all would fall into this section. If you are open to anything please feel free to indicate in the sign up (but saying any for preferred and none for won't write for).

Sign ups are screened so the only people who will be seeing your email are the mods. We encourage all authors to sign up, whether you've already claimed a piece, missed claims, or even missed signing up as an author.

Round 2: Author Check-In (MANDATORY)

Second Round of Claims

All art pieces have been claimed!!!

We did end up having more authors signed up than art available and a few missed out on claims (things went pretty fast ;D). So I've decided reopen the art prompts to those authors.

Artists of the pieces and authors who claim them both have the option to opt out an art piece (so an author can opt it out, or an artist can opt it out, or both). Only pieces that have not been opted out will be made available to those authors.

I was going to run a normal second round but because there is only a handful of people who haven't claimed I would like to ask them to send me their top five choices. I will assign them on Monday which is the deadline for artists and authors to opt out. Those authors will be given their top choice out of those pieces that have not been opted out.

Thank you to everyone taking part in this round!

Once all authors have gotten back to me a match up reveal post will go up and authors and artists can start contacting each other if they haven't already!

Information About Claims

How Art Claims will work:
The art pieces will be going up in a members-locked post with comments turned off on Friday, November 9th so everyone can get a chance to look through the art before the claiming begins. Prompts will be numbered, without the artist's name attached. Each prompt will include a thumbnail (which links to the full-size version), a short description, preferred pairings (if there are any) and ratings. Here is an example:

Claims Begin:
After 24 hours comments will be turned on and claiming will begin on Saturday, November 10th at 2pm PDT. When the Claims Post opens, authors will comment with their top 4 art choices. I will reply and inform the author of which piece they get, and the piece will be struck out in the claims post.

In the first round of claims authors will only be allowed to claim one piece of art. Claims will be first come first serve, and the prompts will be crossed out as they are claimed. If there are unclaimed pieces at the end of two days, there will be a second round of claims, wherein authors may claim a second piece to write for.

I cannot guarantee that anyone will get their first, second, or even third choice. Some pieces may be very popular, and it is natural to feel some disappointment if you don't get to write for something that really inspires you. However, please bear in mind the feelings of artists who will be reading the comments to the Claims Post as well; making comments along the lines of "I don't want to write for any of this" or "there's nothing good left" will not make any of the artists feel very good. If you've ever participated as an writer in a Big Bang challenge, I'm sure you can understand the anxiety that comes from having your work chosen quickly or not quickly at all.

Proxies: If an author cannot comment when they claims post first opens, they may preview the claims in the 24 hour window beforehand and submit their choices to a proxy. If a proxy is making a claim for themself as well, they must leave two separate comments, one stating their top 4 choices and one stating the top 4 choices of their friend.

Multiple claims: Two or more authors claiming the same piece to write a story for will not be allowed until every single piece has been claimed. Only if every single piece has been claimed will I consider opening the pieces up to second claims.

Artists are free to contact their author as soon as they see that their piece has been claimed. I will be posting a Author/Artist Matchup Reveals post and as well as sending email notifications to authors and artists, but that will take time for me to do so I strongly recommend that artists proactively contact their authors ASAP.
