At this time, maxcut does not include automated stock or offcut management features.
However, there is a manual workaround using the sub sizes feature, which can help simulate basic offcut usage control.
🧩 Using sub sizes to manage stock/offcuts
Sub sizes allow you to manually define available smaller sheet sizes (such as offcuts or partial panels) that maxcut can include in optimization.
🛠️ How to set up sub sizes
Go to Manage > Sheet Materials
Select the material you want to configure
Click Edit
Scroll down to the Material Sub Sizes section
Click Add and define:
Maximum Length
Maximum Width
Quantity Available
Note: A quantity of 0 means that sub panel will not be used in optimization.
💡 This allows you to list known offcuts as “available stock” and control how many times they’re used.
⚠️ A note on limitations
This is a manual setup — MaxCut does not automatically track which panels are leftover or generate a real-time inventory of usable offcuts. If you're looking for dynamic inventory tracking or automated stock deduction, this may not fully meet your needs.
