How It Works
1. Smart Battery Monitoring
Battery data is updated automatically every time a lock is opened via the Awaio app.
The information is instantly synced to the admin portal, providing full transparency across all locks.
2. Auto-Unlock – Built-In Safety Function
When a lock’s battery level gets low, the system triggers a three-step safety process:
Good Battery Status
Warning: Low Battery Status
Critical Warning: Critically Low Battery Status
1. Warning: Shown in the Admin Portal → indicates that the battery will soon need replacement.
2. Critical: Displayed in the Admin Portal and automatically sent via email to all admins → replace the battery immediately.
3. Auto-Unlock: If the battery is not replaced in time, the system automatically unlocks the unit before voltage drops below the motor’s operating threshold.
This prevents lock-outs and eliminates the need to break open lockers.
Note: Routine for Unused Lockers
Since battery data is refreshed when a lock is opened, lockers that remain unused for extended periods (e.g., for over 12 months) may display outdated readings in the admin portal.
To ensure full accuracy over time every 6 months you should:
1. Log in to the Admin Portal → Go to Smart Locks via the left sidebar (sidebar can be minimised) → Scroll to the right to see all attributes and filter by Access time by clicking the arrow.
2. Each locker is clearly numbered and mapped for convenience. Identify which lockers that has not been used.
3. Simply walk up to the unused lockers and open them using the Awaio app — battery data updates instantly.
4. Review the updated data in the Admin Portal.
