John specializes in preparation and prosecution of patent applications within the firm’s Mechanical practice group. He also has experience performing patentability and freedom-to-operate analyses. His technical experience spans a range of technologies, including medical devices, nuclear engineering, and aircraft systems.
John earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law with a Concentration Track in Intellectual Property. During law school, John worked in the Entrepreneurial Law Clinic to provide pro bono representation on intellectual property matters to entrepreneurs and businesses.
John is also an accredited Veterans Affairs attorney.
John joined Klarquist as a summer associate in 2022 and became an associate in 2023.
