I'm updating again today, yes. :| I have lost time to make up for, 'kay?

So, canon-review time for Rapunzel, plus it's been a while since I watched Tangled.

I actually have trouble sometimes with remembering what Rapunzel's voice sounds like. Not in the roleplay sense, in a very literal sense where I watch the movie and go "Oh, that's how Mandy Moore sounds in this role. Right!".

Flynn I do not have that problem with, but that is probably because I am madly in love with his voice.

On a completely unrelated note, I have a question for the roleplay peeps on my flist: Non-jamjar games?

I know of dramadramaduck, which is admittedly tempting, buuuuut I really don't think I can keep up any better now than before. :|a

sortinghat_rpg is my go-to game, but I just want to know what else is out there. I don't have anyone that specific in mind to play, but there's a few characters I might put out there if I find the right game.

reimsacademy is another, and I do have one character reserved there. endlessprom is the fourth and final one I know of, but it doesn't seem my thing -- Although it does look neat, so we'll see.

Fanderpy Updates

I'm just going to distract myself from some anxiety/depression by being a derpy fangirl...

I have a new fic in the works, or series of short scenes, or something. Ideas are vague, but it's an angst / h/c / horror / action type of thing featutring -- though in most cases as background characters -- 35 Disney child characters. (Aged up a bit to teens, if that makes me sound like any less of a monster for this.)
Cars 2 is going to be in Imax yessssssssssss. I mean, I'm really nervous about this movie not being good, because it looks very Mater-centric. I love Mater, but he's... Well, he's not the main character and I'm not sure he's main character material -- Especially since, from the trailer, this looks like more of the "for the hyucks" side of the character and less of the sweet-but-admittedly-dopey. Lightning, on the other hand, I find to be a very good main character.
My mp3 player is broken, and I'm not sure what to do with it. This is a fandomy note becaaaause it further prolongs my listening to the second Disney Fairies book. I might have to see if it's at the library not-on-CD when I go pick up my books. Either way, I need to start working on more fairy fanworks.
And Megamind/Tangled stuff. And by Megamind/Tangled, I. Mostly mean Rapunzel/Megamind. BUT THE CROSSOVER IN GENERAL, REALLY. Minion and Rapunzel paling around times are good, too.

I think that's a wrap; it helps that my lovely internet lil sis is around to cheer me up now.

...I do find it a little weird that my only hug icon is also my only icon for Mr. No Touchy.

Canon reviewing for Kuzco so I can get my butt back to Disney Academy. This movie is hilarious and I love it so much. Ymza's "Smash it with a hammer" plan will never not amuse me. This is an excellent sick-day movie, actually.

...Speaking of sick-day, I am so very not up to rehearsal for today, but I really have to go. :|

Aaand I think that's all I have to say. I'm going to have to re-learn using my personal journal. XD

Ffff. I haven't posted in ages and right now I'm just throwing up some drabbles. But. I'll post soon. Promise. Not even a cut beause lj is giving me so much trouble right now.

Also, these themes were shamelessly stolen from 7_crossovers without permission. ;;

1. Music

Rapunzel was introduced to a number of songs in Six's world, many of them very good and lovely and appealing... But none could take Sweet Child O'Mine's place as her favorite. It had been in that spot since she first heard it and Six told her it reminded him of her - and while there were other songs he said that about, that first one was particularly special to her. It became a frequently heard tune in the lair, between Six playing it for his fiancé and Rapunzel just humming it to herself whenever she did... Well, most anything, really.

2. Painting

One day, Rapunzel set up two chairs in front of her easel. Six received no answer when he inquired about this, just a shrug of feigned innocence. And then, once Rapunzel was completely ready to paint, she called him over.

"Would you paint with me?"

Six agreed to, and was surprised by how intimate something oh so simple felt. But sharing Rapunzel's favorite passion... Working on the same canvas to create an image together... It was very special.

As time went on, no matter what else she painted, Rapunzel always insisted that particular piece was the one she liked best.

3. Story

Six quickly found that while Rapunzel did enjoy hearing stories of his grand battles, her favorite tales were the simpler ones-- Silly incidents that had happened to him or Minion around the lair or about the city. Those types of stories were less abundant, and in Six's opinion far less impressive, but they made Rapunzel so very happy that he couldn’t bare to deny her.

"But why do you like them so much?"

"I'm not entirely sure. They're the stories that remind of the side of you two I see the most, I suppose. They’re the stories about my family."

4. Dance

Overall, Rapunzel was the most artistically inclined in the family, but when it came to dance, there was no questioning who was the expert. Oh, it was the area where Six shined the most-- In Rapunzel's opinion, he was even more in his element dancing than he was plotting against Metro Man. She loved watching him move to music... And loved even more to do so with him. And the pair made a point to do so often, dancing to each and every song in Six's -- And once she had her own music, Rapunzel's -- collections that they could move to.

5. Poetry

Rapunzel was many things. A poet was not one of them.

One Valentine's Day, she decided to try and change that, just for Six... Only to find that poetry was far harder than she would have thought. The words that sounded best never rhymed, and the words that rhymed never sounded quite right. It was immensely frustrating...

But poems didn't have to rhyme, right?

In the end, it was far from the most beautiful piece of poetry out there, but... It was heartfelt. Six loved it; Rapunzel was proud of herself for it. And really, that was all that mattered.

6. Eloquent

It amused Rapunzel, sometimes, how someone with as impressive a vocabulary as Six had could fall to fits on ineloquence so easily. He just got flustered so very easily-- It had been one of the first things she noticed about him. Of course, he was far less likely to get so flustered around her now... But he was prone to rambling-- Also not particularly eloquent. To Rapunzel, though, it was one of the most endearing things a person could do. Well, not any person. No, she certainly wouldn't have found it as charming with anyone else but her beloved Six.

7. Art

He'd been working on a blueprint when he found himself unusually distracted. His hand, guiding his pencil, seemed to develop a mind of its own... And soon there was a simple drawing of Rapunzel on the edge of the paper.

Huh.

He surprised himself a bit by adding in Minion, and then, himself.

A family portrait of sorts. He smiled down at what he'd ended up with, feeling pleased with himself. Which he shouldn't. This was supposed to be a blueprint for an upcoming machine, not a cutesy little doodle. But... Just this once, he supposed, it was acceptable.

So, since I'll be spending at least one day of my trip to Florida in Universal, I decided to do a little research into who shows up there for meet and greats. (Although, if memory serves, you can't be as sure of seeing a character in Universal as you can in Disney - And in Disney, nothing's set in stone, so... Yes.) I already knew Alex and the Penguins chilled there, which is awesome.

But apparently, allegedly, so do Hiccup and Astrid.

Freaking Hiccup and Astrid, you guys.

This has the potential to be crazy-awesome. Although I'm guessing they're not face characters - is anyone, in Universal? I don't know, I obviously have always preferred Disney World - but STILL.

I AM EXCITED. AND SUCH A NERD.

But I've always loved Christmas the best of them all~

First off, a very Merry Christmas, once again, to those on my flist who celebrate it, and a wonderful day anyway to those who don't!

Being insanely tired aside, I'm quite enjoying my Christmas thus far - Even if it is a little disconnected because my father and grandmother decided to watch the new Wall Street film and the rest of us are feeling we'd rather see something... Christmas-y. XD But no matter!

Christmas Eve festivities were fun, and I ended up getting Epic Mickey from my family Secret Santa, so. That's exciting. Gifts from my immediete family include Rapunzel and Flynn Rider dolls and a Blu-Ray of Kung Fu Panda, and...

Today I found out I'm going to Disney World next month. I am just. Floored. Didn't see that coming at all. So, I'm feeling kind of awkward because, psh, my family does not have the money to be doing this, but apparently we do? And I finally get to see the fairies and Tia and, hopefully, Rapunzel and Flynn will still be there. Because seriously, I'm one of those people who still loves meet and greats. To be fair, I can totally see myself being a character in the parks at some point in my future, so... Yeah? XD

Their First Christmas

Summary: In which Rapunzel's belief in Santa won't be shaken - And for good reason.

Fandom: Megamind/Tangled Crossover
Pairing: Six/Rapunzel
Disclaimer: I don't own anything - the Megamind parts are Dreamworks', the Tangled parts, Disney's. This is just for fun, and I'm making no money off of it at all.
Author's Note: A Christmas gift for dear Briny. I am a sucker for stuff where there is a Santa, so...There you go.

Rapunzel jolted awake at about five-thirty on Christmas morning, waking up Six as she did so. "...It's Christmas."

Six groaned and rolled on to his side. "Yes it is. Absolutely no reason to be up so early - In fact, all the more reason to sleep in-" But then he could hear Rapunzel getting out of her bed, and he rolled over again to face the young woman dressed in the blue nightgown. "Rapunzel, really, why are you so-"

"Santa Claus! I know he comes for kids, mostly, but I was a kid just last year, and I've never had a Christmas, so I think he might count me in..."

And Six's heart sank. He'd tried to explain this to her earlier, but they'd gotten back so close to Christmas, and he'd kept putting it off because really, really... She'd been so excited to learn about Santa Claus. With a weary sigh, he sat up. "Rapunzel..." And he gestured around the lab. There were no gifts in sight. Surely that would make her realize...

"What?"

...Or not.

"There are no gifts in here. Rapunzel, Santa-"

"Well, that's because Minion and I sort of hid the tree from you," she said sheepishly.

"Wait, what?"

"I'm really sorry, Six, it's just... Well, I really wanted one, so Minion said we should have one - just for this one Christmas - and I know how hard the holiday is for you; I didn't want to-"

"It's fine," he sighed, looking down. It wasn't entirely fine, but... He really didn't want to get into the pain Christmas brought up. Besides, he... He hated it a little less, watching her get so excited over it.

But this was ridiculous.

"Rapunzel..." But as he looked up to adress the young woman, she was already running out of the lab. "Rapunzel, there's something I have to tell you!" he called after her, but she all to quickly vanished down into the basement.

The basement. They had a Christmas tree in their basement. Oh, Minion, he was going to...

And then he noticed the silence. The door to the basement was still open, it was quiet this early, noise should have traveled... But there was no sound of disappointment. Nothing audible at least. Perhaps she was still in denial over this whole thing. He got up himself, tapping Minion's glass as he walked by the fish's suit. "Wake up, Minion, I'd like to have a word with you..." he grumbled as he walked on by. There were other things to deal with, first - Namely, explaining things to Rapunzel - but he definitely heard Minion rising up from the depths of his suit.

When he entered the basement, though, he found there was little to explain... To her, at least. Quite the number of gifts were under the tree - Which was mostly bare... It made sense, how much could they have spent on decorations without him reailzing something was amiss. Strings of white lights and a dozen shining spheres...

All blue. A nice touch.

But on to more pressing matters... Like the insanity that was before his eyes. Where on Earth had all this come from?

Rapunzel turned at that moment to see him, and laughed sheepishly. "I'm acting like a little kid... Sorry. I just..."

"First Christmas," Six said, distracted. "Understandably. I just don't..."

"Are those presents?" came a voice from the stairs. Six looked over his shoulder to see Minion approaching him, and nodded. "Wow..."

Six lowered his voice to a whisper. "Minion, did you...?"

"No, Sir, I assumed you did..."

"No..."

Minion smiled, glancing upwards. "Well, whaddaya know... "

Six just turned back to the tree and stared. This made no sense. None. There was no such thing as Santa Claus...

Although, it must be said, Rapunzel had introduced him to a number of things that... Simply shouldn't have existed. Glowing, healing hair. A very sentient Earth lizard. A villain finding the love of a beautiful, kind-hearted princess...

Said princess turned to look at the duo, a delighted smile on her face. "You guys, there are things here for you, too!"

"...There are?"

No. Six was sure this wasn't possible. He had to be on the naughty list...

Didn't he?

And yet, there it was, indeed, a pile of wonderful science equipment and all sorts of music and a new pair of gloves... And nearby, Minion was diving into his own pile of music and movies and fish food and...

He looked from his dear friend to Rapunzel, who was holding up a box of frozen crickets - Who could that possibly be for?, he thought sarcastically - and saw how happy they were... Maybe this holiday wasn't so bad, after all. In certain ways.

"What did you get?" he asked, walking up behind Rapunzel. She smiled and laughed a light, disbelieving laugh.

"What didn't I get? This... This is amazing."

"You deserve it," he said warmly. "I don't think there's a better person than you."

"Six... After all you did... You deserve it more than anyone."

"Well... Thank you, Rapunzel."

There was a very lovely little moment of silence, of everyone being happy and the day being magical, and then Six remembered something.

"Oh! Rapunzel, I have a gift for you, actually... Yes..."

"I have something for you, too! Sort of. It was a little tricky... Here, let me go..."

And as she trailed off, she headed into a corner of the basement - He would have to start coming down there more regularly, it shouldn't be that easy for them to hide things on him. It seemed as good a time as any to head upstairs and get her gift, and so he headed up the stairs, sneaking one last look at his heart-warmingly happy...

Family.

When he returned to their cots, he noticed Pascal still asleep on Rapunzel's... With a certain level of fondness, he poked the creature awake - as he had seen Rapunzel do countless times - and scooped him up, onto his shoulder. Then he took out the rather large wrapped box he'd hidden in a closet, and started towards the basement...

Only to find himself nearly walking into Rapunzel, whose arms were filled with rather large cans of paint. Six raised a brow.

"...Rapunzel?"

"I'm going to paint the walls - if you want. I figured... We could use a little color in here. Well, some color," she laughed, and he noticed then that the paint cans seemed to be mostly shades of blue. "If you don't want that, I'll get-"

He silenced her with a kiss. "I think it's a wonderful idea. Now, um, this is for you..." He handed her her gift, and she sat right down on the cold floor of the lair to open it... When she finally got to the gift, she gasped, and held up a beautiful mandolin.

"You mentioned that you play... And I know you left yours back in your world. I... Realize you'll be going back eventually, of course-" Darned princess duties. "But in the meantime... I thought you might like to have one here."

Rapunzel carefully set the instrument back in its box, then sprung to her feet and threw her arms around Six. "Thank you. It's... Absolutely perfect."

He returned the hug. Wonderful, she liked it. And at that moment, while he knew Christmas would never be his favorite day of the year, the wounds it opened stung a bit less.

"Merry Christmas, Rapunzel."

'Twas the night before Christmas...

Between roleplay and, even moreso, good family times and the potential of seeing 1jobonthisship soon, I am just... Absolutely delighted with today. And the potential the rest of this week holds, knock wood. And, wow, Christmas is so close... I have to get my irl friend's gifts wrapped, I can't wait to give them to everyone... Internet friends gifts still need work because my individual creativity has actually been a bit low, so those... Well, I'll try to get them done in time, y'all deserve it.

(Just a warning, I've only got things in mind for cheriestar and roll_soul , because I already gave saft her gift and nobody else posted a list I felt remotely able to satsify, but! If you think I can do something for you this holiday season, tell me and I'll give it a try.)

Um. Posting something of substance beyond babbling about my own warm fuzzies or excitement? Yeah, maybe later this week. Like I said, individual creativity is low. I need to try and write something, though, or I'll go mad. At least make some icons. /is babbling again. oops.

HOW DO I PICK? Probably their scenes in Glitch. It's not them at their shippiest, but it's great and it's so cute.

Okay I totally cheated so I could have this. But yes! Sort of. Only it was played for laughs and not something Iago wanted to do. Their relationship builds very slowly/is complicated.

But anyway... My Christmas shopping is almost done! I checked Glasses Girl and her sister off the list today, and Gwen and The Boy were covered a while ago... As far as family goes, I just need to get something for my father and one aunt, but I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing for that one aunt.

So that's going pretty well.

I still have to do my Christmas gifts for online peeps, but that should be pretty easy once I just, y'know, do it.

I'm sick of being a whiny pain, but... Ugh I am in such a funk.

If anyone has writing prompts or something for me to write little snippets of? Send them my way; it might help.

I'm mostly in a funk over the fact that I've been feeling so depressed lately, as well as some stupid little things. But when it call comes down to it? I think this is mostly just what happens when I get bored, ergo the writing prompts request.

Sigh, I will just find any excuse to get myself in a bad mood. Even really, really stupid excuses.

Stupid reason I'm in a funk this evening?

My inability to hold down a roleplay. Or, semi-inability.

It seems that be it the muse or the game or just real life getting in the way - but mostly the first two - something alwas mucks up my ability to join a game. The fact that most games are jamjar games and I don't like doing those doesn't really help, but...

I don't know, I enjoy disney_academy and am definitely like the idea of be part of the Phineas and Ferb cast at dramadramaduck, but I can't help but feeling that while they're both games I enjoy being a part of, neither is really... My niche. I love the people at both games, and the concepts work for me, but things don't feel completely right. It might be my muses, and I'm not sure.

To be honest, the most fun I ever had roleplaying was back in the days of the Disney dressing room... Which implies that Iago or Pleakley would be good muses for me to stick with? But playing Pleakley without a Jumba is just... It doesn't feel right. And finding someone who ships it is pretty important to me, and that can be a little tricky. As for Iago... I've thought a lot of bringing him into d_a or somewhere, but the idea of writing him an app is, for some reason, very overwhelming for me.

In the past, I've managed to work long-term gigs as Timon's Ma, Louis the 'Gator, Sid the Sloth, and Kowalski the Penguin... But honestly? Playing the first two kind of brings back sucky memories, my interest in Sid isn't always consistent, and Kowalski (or any Penguin/Lemur/Marlene) is another case of "I need a cast, preferably one that is willing to ship crazy schlit". Besides, my interest in Penguins isn't always super consistent...

TL;DR: I just. IDK. I feel like I'm looking for my fairytale ~*one true game*~, where I can app a ~*one true character*~ (or two or three), and maybe it and they just don't exist?
