Some more exciting movie new for Katie today with a new movie she will be staring in called Ashes to Iron that is based on called Choices which is a period piece taking place in 1956 about the Hungarian Revolution. Katie is confirmed to play the lead role and the movie is set to start filming next month and is being produced by Little Egg Publishing Company. More updates on this as they come out.
Some time ago Katie had a project come up called Speed Demon and other then one poster that just had a train on that was all the info we had about it, Untill now that is because the official poster and one movie still has come out from the movie. On top of that the movie it’s self will now be premiering at the 56th Annual USA Film Festival in Dallas on Saturday, April 25th at 7pm, Katie will be in attendance as well as the director Jon Keeyes. The tickets to the movie are free but you need to reserve them and you can do that HERE .
When Father Novak (William H. Macy) and Sister Lu (Katie Cassidy) board a train from Montreal to New York City, they weren’t prepared for the danger and evil that would pursue them. After the train is taken over by the demon Asmodeus, Father Novak and Sister Lu must battle possessed passengers on a runaway train with Sister Lu forced to overcome her faltering faith and perform the first exorcism done by a nun.

Katie made her first Comic Con of 2026 at Lexington Comic & Toy Con last weekend on 27th-28th March. Katie did two day’s at the con and took part in fan autos, photoshoots and a panel with some of her Harper’s Island cast on both days other then the panel that was on day 2. Katie is keeping her self very busy this year so far, A new project has just been announce called Playing Shakespeare its a short movie set in england. Katie will be playing Queen Ann and will star with Ansel Elgort who is playing King Christian, the rest of the cast has not been reveal yet. The movie is directed and writed by Emik David but Katie is down as being a co-producer on it so a big congrats to her for that.

Katie’s first movie of 2026 came out on January 10, 2026 on Lifetime as part of there “Ripped from the Headlines” series called Accused: The Karen Read Story, Katie plays Karen Read who was accused of killing her boyfriend John O’Keefe who is played by Luke Humphrey and co-stars Sebastien Roberts, Kurt Evans, Ryan Robbins and Terence Hayman. The movie go’s into what Karen was going througt the whole time and what could have happend to John and was a good movie but they did skip a lot and I think something like this would have been better as a one season tv-show to really get into it all. I got my hands on a copy of it and made some 1080p screen captures for you all and that you can find in the gallery.
