In the UK in November:
Wednesday 19 November 8pm
I’m giving a talk on my self-publishing in St Albans, Hertfordshire. £5 guest entry for non-members. You can find the venue details here:

I started my own imprint, Meanda Books and reissued my backlist of five historical novels in 2023 and then published a new novel in 2024. It was a steep learning curve and a rewarding experience. If you are thinking of self-publishing yourself, I’m sharing my best tips and advice.
I was born in Hertfordshire, so this is a return to home territory. St Albans Cathedral features in my novel, The Drowned Court, where King Henry I spies on a potential new mistress from the monk’s spyloft. There is a real spyloft in the cathedral. The monk’s used it to make sure nobody made off with the cathedral’s silverware or other treasures.
In France in December:
Sunday 7 December 9.30am-12.30pm & 2-5pm
Salle des Fete, Rue de la Mairie, Laguepie 82250
I will be selling my books at the Christmas Salon du Livre.

Work in Progress Updates
Audio Book
I’m working on my first audiobook - it will be book 1 of the Trobairitz Sleuth series - Love’s Knife, set in late 11th-century Toulouse - and I’ll let you know soon when it’s available.
Biography
I’m hard at work on a biography of three 11th-century female lords - Almodis de la Marche, countess of Toulouse and Barcelona, and her sisters, Raingarde de la Marche, countess of Carcassonne, and Lucia de la Marche, countess of Pallars Sobira. You can read posts on some of my research here:
Book 2 of the Trobairitz Sleuth medieval murder mystery series, Salt’s Wound, featuring Beatriz de Farrera, is progressing well through poisonings, revenants, and other grim happenings during a winter in the Pyrenees. It will be published next year.
.
Thanks for reading.

All great news for you Tracey! I am also doing an audio book for Time Enough, which should release in January. It's a worthwhile venture these days, I believe. Bravo for all your achievements from your friend in Nanton, Alberta!
