OUT-OF-CHARACTER

Cory Monteith, who played Finn Hudson from Glee, passed away tragically today at 31.

This is a crushing, awful blow for any Glee fans, myself and fellow Glee RP friends included.

We will be taking a hiatus from writing any of our Glee characters or verses indefinitely for the moment. Our thoughts and prayers are with Cory's family and friends.

It had been a hell of a few weeks, and Kurt couldn't exactly pinpoint what it was that brought him to sitting alone on a stool at the karaoke bar in the Upper East Side. He had a Cosmo sitting in front of him, but it was untouched at this point. He should have just gone and ordered the Arnold Palmer like he had contemplated because he was baulking at the idea of actually getting drunk like he wanted to. He was usually the DD and it had been awhile since he got epically drunk. He didn't like to lose control... or worse, let people see him losing control.

He picked up the cocktail for a delicate sip and visibly cringed when the latest person at the karaoke mic kicked off with a stomach-turning rendition of Hey Jude. Holy hell, they were murdering it. Why was he here? And why didn't he just get up to the mic himself? Being alone was crap, but he had thought it would give him time to think. There wasn't even anyone hot here to perve on right now, though he was sure if he was into girls, it would be a smorgasbord with how much cleavage was currently on show. New York, New York... sometimes not all it cracked up to be.

Reading/seeing these latest Klaine spoilers... I'm not a drinker, but I think I might at least need a couple of shots of vodka to get through episode 4x04. The downside of being invested this much in a ship. I don't think I have felt this uptight about a ship since I thought they were going to kill off Draco in Harry Potter :D
