Hey guys I need some help raising some funds!
In the past 4 years we've lost 4 cats and it's taken a huge toll on my mum as she raised them from kittens and they've been such a part of our family that even now she forgets they're gone sometimes.
She doesn't know I did it but I've secretly saved a little bit of each of their fur and for Christmas this year I want to get the fur felted into little toy kitties representing each one. Each kitty will cost me between $40-$60 to get made and I want to get the 4 we lost and the 6 still with us done so that's 10 kitties and a lot of money. I have enough for a few of them, but not all of them and if I want to get them for Xmas I need to be able to give the craftslady enough time to get them done.

So that's what brought me to post this and ask for help raising the money to get them done. I've stuck my e-store link below, and I'm updating with some new products later today, so if you were interested in eve
r getting any of my personal work, now would be such a great time to do so! Even a small purchase will help, and if you can't afford to buy anything I totally understand and would appreciate a like or reblog to help pass this around.

Right now my goal is to raise enough for at least the 4 we lost, so any help will be appreciated!

Hey guys, I'm thinking of putting together a beta mailing list type thing for people who would be willing to beta some of my story/comic/etc ideas and maybe talk about some of their own if they would like some feedback too! I'm thinking about trying to put together another self-published book before I leave for Japans. I'm gonna try either Kickstarter or Indiegogo since friends have had good deals with both of them, esp Molly, Holy SHIT girl! U SO POPULAR!

But I'm not sure what TYPE book I should put out.

There's always been a lot of requests for a full color artbook, so I could do a color artbook to go with the B&W one. This would probably be the easiest for me as it would just require me doing some new illusts.

But then there's this comic I want to draw, that's unrelated to anything, it's um...kind of like a pilot in WSJ? You know how Bleach and Naruto had pilots that were like first chapters but were still kinda self contained enough that they were testing the waters? Well, that's what this comic is. It's self contained but if I were ever lucky enough I'd want to make a series out of it. I thought I could draw the comic (approx40-50 pages) and then include character designs, roughs and color illusts for the story all in the same book. Like a pitch in book form without all the boring parts of a pitch lol.

Buuuuut then I thought maybe I should do a theme artbook instead and expand upon themes I already started/work with. I started the suicide series, the shirtless guys in jeans with things on their heads series (which I would love to title the book just that) and I was thinking about doing a general male pinup series or maybe a more interesting to me self-mutilation-pin-up series.

So I don't know. I don't know what the main draw would be and DA is really no help at all anymore. So I'm leaving this post public so anyone who may be interested in my art enough to actually buy a book, give me feedback on what they most would like to see.

Got the last of the con merch before Animazement (dont think buttons will make it in time) so I made up a full cast HS poster:

It was a pain trying to fit everyone in there, so it's a little cramped but whatever. It'll be the same price as the bookmark set so people can choose whichever they like I figure.

Then I needed to get reprints of some of my copybon, but I thought I'd try out a new company:

Glossy, full color printing (even tho my insides are B&W), for less than it would cost me to make a B&W copybon with a color cover. Seriously, so happy with this! I'm gonna try to get all the rest of my old copybons reprinted in this format so the images will be nice and clean and clear and crisp instead of photocopied!

Adri, now that I have more copies I can send you some! Drop me an email with your address and I'll send some off :)

Hey BJD fans, I'm debating getting a smaller scale BJD to trek across Japan with me next year and I admit, I'm contemplating making a KK and having Karkat's Adventures in Japanland ha ha ha. I've been out of the BJD hobby for over a year (as I've had no money so I don't even look for fear of tempting) so do any of you guys have recs for a base for him?

Elf ears (small) and gray skin are the only requirements. If you know the character, something with a srs bsns face sculpt would be better than a cute sculpt, but the faceup'll really make it so even cute would be okay. Mini kawaii KK would be kinda adorbs.

Anyway if anyone has any reccs lemme know! MSD or smaller only I can't take anything bigger with me IDT. Actually the smaller the better.

Hopefully cons this summer will give me enough to get my new laptop and have money left over for this but if not, oh well, it's just kind of a "would like to do" thing than a "HAVE TO HAVE" doll.

I'm literally broke, like, broke-broke. I had some unexpected medical bills from when I went to the hospital back in January and it ate up pretty much ALL of my savings since my insurance denied it (ah ha ha ha oh FAIL). Anyway to try to make some money ASAP I'm selling off things I don't want to sell but kinda have to.

This broke my fucking heart earlier this morning.
And also made me filled with so much love for animals I can't even begin to explain it.
They. Are. So. Innocent.
And they love, just purely! UGH! I know people think I'm crazy but I don't care. Animals, they're everyone's best friends even if you don't know it. Like, even if you don't know them, they love you. THEY LOVE YOU. And they love each other, unconditionally. FOREVER O_O I just, ungh, I don't want to live in a world without kitties and puppies, I think I'd have exploded from hate of humanity by now without their love to counter balance people's evil.

I started tweeting about places to donate money to help all the homeless animals left after the tsunami and earthquake and got a bunch of replies of places you can donate. (Check my @twitter feed for them all) I ended up donating to Animal Rescue Kansai. Because it was a no-kill shelter just like the one I worked at and was specifically gathering funds to take in new animals left homeless by the disaster.

I know after Katrina people who lost everything, months later even, were reunited with their pets and it made things better. Like, not ALL was lost. You can replace things, but you can't replace your loved ones and our pets (no matter if they're cats, dogs, snakes, spiders, bugs, birds, horses whatever!) certainly count as a member of the family.

Anyway I'm not asking you to buy anything from me, I already donated, but I am asking if you have a pet, be it big or small, and they've ever cheered you up after a rough day, woken you up by bringing you a present of a dead something just to say they love you and you can't be mad at them even tho it's gross. If they sleep curled up at your feet at night, if they lick your face, think about that and if you can, donate something.
ARK takes Paypal, and you can donate as little as $1, that'll buy a can of cat or dog food. And believe me, that counts! Even the smallest donations were what helped keep my shelter alive, especially when we were under the influx of animals from Katrina. If your donation reunites one pet with it's owner, you've changed a life.

So yeah, there's my spiel.

I started out yesterday with commissions for raising funds to help Sendai and the surrounding areas, but filled up too fast. I can't handle more commission for the week but I didn't really raise as much as I had hoped since most commissions were small. So I've opened up two book lot sales on eBay to try to fill out the rest of the money I'd like to raise. 100% of the proceeds go directly to charity and none of the money will pass by me, so please consider bidding.

Thanks to everyone who actually replied to my last post, but Tina beat everyone to it (Thank you Tina!!!) so she'll be assistant editing the project with me. Fawn'll be handling the design as usual (Thank you Fawn!!!) so for now all the really heavy-duty jobs are filled and that means, planning time!

I'll update more when we have the specs and the artist list finalized, so keep your eyes peeled!

Okay because postage is way too expensive here's the new trading rules:

- US trades only, sorry shipping outside of the US is too expensive.

- I'll TRADE any book or books you want for something you want to get rid of. I'll take books, cds, video games, dvds, you name it, if you want to get rid of something cool send me a list of what you have to trade and what you'd like to trade it for and we'll go from there.

- TRADES ONLY, I don't feel comfortable taking shipping money for the books as it's always difficult to keep track of what's going where when I have a billion paypal orders (mixed in with my work orders) so I won't be taking shipping money in return for a book any longer, I'll ONLY trade (meaning you send me something I send you something and no money changes hands)

Japanese manga, things that have more than one volume are stacked on top of each other. If you want a volume of something I have multiple volumes of I'm just gonna send you the whole series as I have it, I don't want to break up series.
