Tutorial #08 - Tori002

Note: Unless otherwise noted, layers are set to Normal 100


Base image. Cropped a Tori image, applied Sharpen once, and Edge Preserving Smooth once {probably set to 1 or 2}.


Duplicated and desatureted the base image, set to Screen 41.


Gradient, possibly by crumblingwalls, set to Soft Light 100.


Another gradient, again possibly by crumblingwalls, set to Lighten 100 {I deleted it from over Tori's face}.


Another by crumblingwalls, set to Soft Light 100.


Copied a merged version if the icon so far, resized to about 45x45.


Using #EED5CE and the linetool set to width 1, I created a frame around the small Tori image.


Then I added a couple more lines, just to make it more interesting.


Using the same color, I took a brush {sorry, don't remember who made it} and applied it around the whole icon.


Time for text! Arial Black at 6pts.


This one is Georgia, I think, set to 5pts/bold/italics, layer mode set to Screen 100.
