Hello. I'm Eli from Philippines. I like watching japanese dramas and stuff online. I was watching BOSS (2009) and got hooked on Kichise Michiko so I looked her up online. I happen to stumble upon two raw Himitsu no Arashi episodes wherein she was featured. I really don't understand japanese so I want the subbed episodes of those two (episodes 104 and 175) which you both have. Please let me join. I promise not to upload your videos to any streaming sites or anywhere. I certainly won't sell em and make money out of them. I will only use them for my personal entertainment.

With the vast majority of the cast's major characters killed, maimed or dismembered by Yomi during the course of the series, it probably isn't too surprising to find that the grand finale of Ga-Rei -Zero- is all about Yomi versus Kagura... Although Noriyuki does put in an appearance despite being wracked by guilt over various things.

I mentioned in the last episode how what looked likely to be a long and massive battle turned out to be something of the more short, sharp variety, and this final episode of the series takes a similar approach - Rather than going on and on with an epic battle sequence, fighting is limited to relatively short, spectacular, high intensity skirmishes - And it works, there's no doubt about it. Ga-Rei -Zero- has frequently managed to put out some of the most spectacular action sequences I've seen in anime this year, and this big climax doesn't disappoint with plenty of moments that are simply a breath-taking mixture of speed, beauty and violence. Oh, and Kagura has a sword that can also fire bullets, a weapon that could only be made cooler if it also shot shurikens and lighting. While on fire.

Aside from pure unadulterated violoence, this final battle also has an emotional aspect to it of course, and this is handled well enough, albeit in an arguably cliched fashion of the kind we've seen before in everything from the Transformers TV series upwards. Still, I suppose if it isn't broken you shouldn't try to fix it, and I can't begrudge this series writers for finishing the show in the way they have, even opting to jump a couple of years in the future to show us how everything turns out (what have you done to your hair, Kagura? Change it back!).

In closing then, as far as I'm concerned Ga-Rei -Zero- is quite possibly the best action-oriented anime I've watched in 2008. Perhaps its biggest down-side was the slightly ponderous mid-section, but even this was watchable and helped to build the back story well enough, and to be honest considering the beginning and ending handful of episodes frequently kicked so much backside that my jaw hit the floor and carried on through several storeys below in awe, then I can forgive it such foibles. In fact, I can forgive it one Hell of a lot, because whenever Ga-Rei -Zero- broke out the swords and killer suitcases it was simply wonderful - Ridiculously violent, but delivered with almost balletic poise and grace that meant you simply couldn't tear your eyes away from the screen. There's certainly room for more of the Ga-Rei franchise in anime form, and I for one am hoping that this series was a significant enough success to encourage its production.

Nanana's Buried Treasure - Episode 3

With the Adventure Club's most important member now officially part of the organisation, it's time for the club to start doing what it was created for - seeking out parts of the Nanana Collection, via the so-called "Ruins" within which they're hidden.

Of course, it's left to Yuugo to extract the information about the first ruin from Nanana, a painful experience for both body and mind but ultimately a successful one, which leads the club's members to the middle of a crowded shopping centre - not exactly the kind of place you'd expect to find "buried treasure", but I guess that's the beauty of hiding something in plain sight. Then again, there's more than that to how this ruin is hidden, with some sneaky tricks with mirrors ensuring that the room in which the treasure is stored is safe from the eyes of passers-by.

Nothing gets passed our master detective Tensai however, who quickly identifies the room that comprises the ruin before Isshin cracks the passcode on the door. From here, a labyrinth made from the web spun by a mechanical spider is the dangerous challenge the trio who enter must face, and again it's up to Tensai to crack the best way to approach this maze of destroyed and reconstructed tunnels to make it to the centre and the chest containing the treasure. An impressive treasure it is too once they reach it - unfortunately for Yuugo and Tensai however, Isshin has no intentions of sharing this disovery, instead making off with it to leave his cohorts to their fate. An auspicious start for the club if ever there was one, and potentially bad news for the wider world given the powers that the cane now in Isshin's possession is capable of.

I'm still not sure entirely what it is (aside from Nanana herself, who is pretty awesome as ghost girls go), but there's something enjoyable about Nanana's Buried Treasure - when it isn't trying to bend itself into a particular otaku-pleasing shape and just gets on with its story as per this episode, its little, quickly solved puzzles and fast-moving nature makes for a pretty fun viewing experience. It doesn't really have any depth at this point in time, which makes it an oddity of a noitaminA show in a lot of ways, but its visual polish and sense of fun more than make up for that at this juncture.

Knights of Sidonia

With a frame tournament going on in Sidonia, the fact that Tanikaze's injuries prevent him from competing is a disappointment to more than just the man himself - still, at least the festival that coincides with said tournament offers plenty of food for him to take his mind off that fact.

The aforementioned tournament also boasts some surprises, with hotly-tipped favourite Kunato bested thanks to some smart thinking by opponent Akai Mochikuni, who seems to have learned the trick of the trade that brings him his victory from Nagate's fight against the (now-returning) Gauna. However, all of this is missed by Tanikaze himself, as his mission to find good food is helped along by Hoshijiro, before a tussle between Shinatose and a decidedly pissed off Kunato brings any merry-making (or sulking, on Shinatose's part) to an abrupt halt.

In fact, the fun is very much over outright (aside from a brief trip to the "sea" that is Sidonia's massive reservoir), as it's time for us to move on and watch Sidonia's best frame pilots embark upon their sortie to take out the Gauna which is now pursuing them through space. The plan to tackle the Gauna is a simple one that looks all set to be effective... until Momose is caught by the monster's tentacles. From this point onwards, the mission quickly goes to pot, as boyfriend Mochikuni seeks to save her before ultimately sacrificing himself so that she can escape - something which she has no interest in doing having seen him devoured by the Gauna. Before we know it, the entire four-person squad has been wiped out... what next for Sidonia?

After feeling like it was merely spinning its wheels for the most part, Knights of Sidonia once again proves that it knows how to close out an episode to keep you coming back for more - as per episode one, it gleefully decides to throw some characters under the narrative bus to shake things up, and the series feels all the better for it. With the promise of some epic destruction and trauma ahead, hopefully this is the point where the show really takes off and pushes some of its harem nonsense into the background for a while, as it's clearly much better at handling its monster-driven space crisis than romantic comedy in both animated and narrative terms.

Life is Strange: Chrysallis

Life is already hard, life is already strange, but it becomes more complicated when suddenly you realized you got a 'gift'. A gift that probably wanted by everyone. Well, at least that was my first thought when I see this game. An eighteen years old girl who has an ability to rewind time. Wow, how cool is that, who doesn't want that :p? I believe if I have that ability, I don't need to study anymore before exam :p. I can fix all of my faults and probably my life won't be like this? Alright, just abandon my crazy opening.

Ah, before I write too far, I'm gonna say if I rarely play games on PC (mostly I play on mobile - iOS) and I don't like to play story driven/ point n click game too much. FYI, I just ever played the first episode of The Walking Dead. In addition, I never played Heavy Rain nor Gone Home before too. So, probably my review here doesn't 'match' enough for you, who already play all of those games and like to compare this game with them.

Life Is Strange - Chrysalis is my first PC game which I play on this year. Well, I sold into this game since my first sight :o, already pre-order the full episodes just after watched the trailer since December 2014. Yes, I'm not lying about that. To be honest, I'm still on exam now and the game just out one day before my exam. So, I decided to download it first, then play it later after exam in the next day and today, I'm gonna write the review why you should try to play this game too.

You're Max, an 18 y.o girl who geek enough to be said. You're a photography enthusiast and you got a scholarship on 'Blackwell Academy'. The story began when you woke up on your class from your extraordinary dreaming, but first let me take a selfie. Wut? No, that's not a joke. Okay, so you made your teacher mad on you and you couldn't answer his question. Oh man... In conclusion, you just made a trouble this morning. Well, let's forget about this... Probably washing your face will helpful to clear your mind too... Yes, may be...

You walked through the class corridor, it's too crowded so put your headset on... You entered the girls bathroom, tore up your photo, then washed your face. When, suddenly... A beautiful blue butterfly flew in and picked up your interest. You decided to take a picture of it, when again suddenly you hear something.... Psst... be quiet, Max. Don't make any noise, keep silent like a ninja. You just wait and hid in the toilet corner and peek a bit to see what's happening and boom... a bullet shot. You showed up and screamed NOOO.... and asdfghjkl, you just woke up again in the class. Repeated the same process. So, what's happening with you?

To make it brief, you Max, you have a power to rewind time and thanks to Nathan who help you to discover that accidentally. Gladly, you choose to help that blue hair girl, though you have no idea who is she at first. Then you meet Chloe, your old friend all of sudden. Both of you will try to reveal a truth what's happening in Arcadia, why Rachel is missing? I'll let your head full with all of those questions for now. However, since it's a story driven game, every choice will have a consequence here. Some may impact your future, some might not. I just wish it'll be impact not just the future on one episode only but will impact the whole episodes too.

The game feels like you're watching a movie and you become the director of it. Though there's already a static script, but you still can change Max's destiny like what you want. Some action require trial and error first before you can use your rewind power. In fact, that's the point, if you already know how you should make a movement, what's the need of rewind power? For example: When you want to take the tools box on the top of washing machine, you just turn on the machine without thinking about the next result. Well, the tools drops onto the floor, but nobody can reach that. So, you should thinking what should you do by rewind the time. You need to push cardboard, then drop the tools box, and take it using the cardboard. Wow, how smart you're, Max.

Unfortunately, things getting more complex when you realized David is Chloe's stepfather. It's been a tough day for you, Max. I can't believe all of this happened on you just in one day only :o. You got to choose here, following the straight rule here or go by your curiosity. Make Max a good kid or a bad one, make her going with her own benefit or help the other one. It's up to you, you're the boss here.

In this first episode not much clue revealed here. Since the game has 5 episodes, I believe more clues will be revealed on the next episode. Sigh, I still need to wait about six week again to play the next one. You know what, there're many question marks stuck inside my head... this, why, what, how... all of them just popped up inside my brain and the severest one is that soundtrack, even I'm sleeping the guitar music just played inside my mind :|.

Okay, in conclusion Life is Strange - Chrysalis is a good opening on the series. I only face one bug here, the repeating voice acting. Thanks to Steam user (forgot his/her username) who mention to change the NVIDIA setting to the high one, I glad the problem was fix. For the graphic, I love how beautiful the lighting were set off, the hand-drawn pictures, cultural pop art style, tumblr style on Max - Chloe's room, and especially how the rewind effect was played. Only one thing I kinda dislike here, the tree looks bit crisp and feels weird on my eyes but since life is strange indeed, what can I say ;). Wake Up Call

So we had that immensely strange curse last time, and that all ended in everyone falling asleep at the wheel; even if it’s realistic it was done incredibly suspiciously, not to mention the stuff with Ghost Banri.

It takes quite a dark and serious turn at the start here, as Koko’s confidence takes an immensly heavy knock from the incident, and when she returns home, her father smacks her off her feet…literally. She falls out of contact with everyone for a while, and obviously, Banri gets disheartened over it. It takes a loving threat from the scary Nana to get Banri back in gear, as he summons the four together again. Nobody really has any idea what to do, but they give Banri her address and sent him off.

Despite impressions, her father ends up being relatively nice about the whole situation, and the one who’s overreacting is Koko, shutting herself away and saying that she can’t do it. It’s just another sign of how messed up and insecure the girl is, as nobody was seriously hurt. The only thing that happened is that people were scared and freaked out. We move onto a situation where Banri preaches to Koko about starting over and leaving things behind, and he probably doesn’t even notice that he’s being such a hypocrite until Koko loses her temper with him. She finally says what everyone’s been thinking, and that Banri’s acting like a complete ass about forgetting and moving on.

Yet they still manage to hug and make up and all that, until Koko’s dad appears at the door demanding someone cooks him lunch, so…Banri cooks lunch for her father until she calms down. uh.Yep, it doesn’t get any better…I don’t really have time to cover this show if it’s going to continue being so mediocre.

Bakuman Second Season

It doesn’t seem like all that long ago since Bakuman’s first season ended, and I personally really enjoyed it. At heart, it was an energetic show about two youngsters achieving their dreams, getting the girls and having their own bromance as they became accomplished manga artists. Series 2…does nothing new. It’s exactly the same. And I really enjoyed it.

Infact, I could say that it’s a direct continuation. Characters enter the show, and characters leave the show, as our pair climbs the ladder of JACK to get an anime adaptation, marry and live happily ever after. Throughout this season they undergo an editor change, have Takagi’s high school “crush” appear as a successful novelist, get married to Miyoshi, end up in hospital and watch as Eiji rises even higher than he has before, becoming a celebrated manga artist to the point where he gets TV appearances. There..isn’t much I can say about Bakuman beyond that.

It’s a show about dreams, and it’s energetic. It follows two very likeable male leads and a large cast of characters, some of whom you’ll like and some of whom you won’t care for at all. It’s fun, it’s got a unique twist on romance that may appear weird but works rather well and it’s got some very strong slice-of-life. If you’re looking for slice-of-life or some passionate guys(lol sounds wrong) then you don’t need to look much further than this. But since it’s a continuation, common sense says that you’d check out Mimi’s review of the first season before you watch this season. :b

Kintoki and Gintoki, Kin-san’s Kintama, The Meaning of a Main Character

Okay, first off, scratch talkin’ about reruns, cause long run wise that’s just gonna be a hassle for me. But let’s get ourselves an effortless retrospective (I except very little retrospecting to occur) going on with the torrid of Gintama that I haven’t gone over yet; the rest of the Kintama arc which happens to be so VERY Gintama.

I’ve seen main character jokes here and there in gag series, even in Gintama’s little brother show Sket Dance, but the extent which it takes the joke is almost a marvel. I have sort of an odd flashback to the Popularity Poll arc (episodes 182-184). Based on the common held practice within the industry to have readers vote in their favorite characters. The anime studio took a few liberties upon reaching the material due to its medium specific nature and truly made the arc it’s own, which is the vibe I’m getting here with Kintama. It’s unique even in the comedy genre, and they totally run with it. They take the joke and run the ENTIRE marathon, and it is a buttload of fun.

Coincidentally both arcs feature the very best in anime intro use no lie.

And in near surprise, unlike Gintama’s previous return to the airwaves, they play it mostly straight. Kintoki, the machine built to to takes the position of leader in the Yoruzuya, presents himself as a legitimate threat, playing the all knowing villain and playing it well. It’s practically a parody of other stuff like Bleach actually, although with a little more emotion involved. And when it comes down to any even remotely serious story, Gintama finds its strengths in executing the conventional through the charm and history of it’s characters.

In fact, this is why’d I argue Kintama is the perfect way to illustrate Gintama, and why it fits as a return to the show for the longtime viewers. It takes back to the argument you hear occasionally when Gintama pops up, how some wish that the show actually focused on its intermittent “serious” stints, where the skew between the shows comedy and drama/action is sent topsy-turvy and all “whooooooooa” like. Yet the uncommon nature of these arcs is a lot of why Gintama’s charm work. Here are a bunch of characters who you’ve had the chance to experience in their natural everyday situations, which may just happen to get kinda ridiculous! They become people you know and love in a whole variety of ways and through their many facets. So when the stakes DO finally reach for the ‘oh geez this is kinda SUPER SERIOUS now’, the impact of their actions is multiplied tenfold.

Kintama is perhaps the epitome of this. It gives us a bunch of the main cast in their natural everyday, and reminds us why we enjoy them on a regular basis. Gintoki really steals the show with most of his scenes, but even moments such as the conversations between Otae and Kyubei, Sa-chan and Tsukuyo, Hasegawa and Katsura, these people are the reason why Gintama is so enjoyable. So as the situation does grow more SERIOUS in nature, the viewers who have grown with the characters do feel that important connection through the shared history with them. All 60 DVD volumes worth of it. You could get into a discussion of the nature of long-running shows here, which is kinda interesting in and of itself, but I ain’t articulate enough for somethin’ like that right now.

Plus it’s all done pretty hilariously. (the BEST intros, why does nobody else do this, do other studios do this?)

As far as side notes go, it’s cool to have a demonstration of how strong the female cast is, and not just in the character sense. Which. Which is kinda… tragically overshadowed sometimes thanks to Gintama’s huge yaoi-schmuck fanbase? It’s almost like when I see a single gif of Tsukuyo or Kyubei, I’m reminded tumblr isn’t actually a website for smut only? Cultural barriers also in full force with ULTRA SOUL, but on the whole scale of scabbards and swords, losing that one joke is negligible. It makes Episode 2/254 perhaps the weakest of the bunch, but that’s overall not too weak at all. Since after all, this arc is an example of what makes Gintama tick and tock!

I’ll be back with Gintama again when a new episode airs, hopefully with less muddled thoughts.

Thus. Another shoddy promise that may or may not be kept.

Dog Food Doesn’t Have as Much Flavor as You’d Think

Well. Here we have it. It’s been a long slew of reruns and long arcs, but we finally have a new single episode story.

What do you mean it’s over?

What a sappy sweet ol’ episode. As the Yorozuya run out of money, and consequently good, there’s only measly amounts of dog food left. Gintoki and Kagura take their share though, and the dog is just about done dealing with this level negligence. So off he goes to face the world, coming across a sick little puppy.Reminded of how he was once abandoned and found, he takes care of the puppy, attempting to find the both of them food. Adorable. Sadaharu rarely gets his moments, so an entire episode revolved around him makes for a pretty neat experience. Helps that he has more personality than Shinpachi too.

And he’s roaming in a town filled to the brim with wonderful personality. Can’t get around without bumping into some freak, be it the Shinsengumi or Sacchan. And they’re all fun and games. I love them. They lose out to Katsura though. Oh do they ever lose out. Complaints rang out when he didn’t show up during Courtesan of a Nation, despite making up a crucial third of Shoyou’s important students. But when it’s explained away as Katsura on STAND-BY for two months waiting to be found in a game of Kick the Can, when he says THE LINE, how can you honestly have any qualms?

What a beautiful idiot.

It all comes full circle.

But beyond the gags and the comedy clubs, the episode is all about the Yorozuya family. As Sadaharu frantically attempts to keep the puppy sheltered and alive, Gintoki lets the dog do its own thing. Taking care of yourself is certainly difficult on its own, but taking care of another living being is exceedingly more demanding. If you’re not willing to share even the last bits of kibble, not willing to give the bigger portion of fish to your provider, the family is going to be strained. Being in charge is never easy, and the sacrifices are going to be made by all members, but it’s never out of malice and ill will. It’s because you love the family.

And I can say this sappy stuff with a straight face, because “An old friend that doesn’t change ain’t too bad isn’t it” was the bg track for the final scene. It renders yours heart helpless, and makes your brain mush. If… if this is what we’re going to leave the series on… I’m okay with that. It was nice. Played straight, but still… it was nice. It had a hook, and it reeled me right in. There’s still plenty of material I want to see animated, but for now, I’m good.

But let’s talk about this bad boy before we finish. Coming out the 6th of July, it’s the second Gintama movie. Script penned by the Hideaki Sorachi himself. Gintama: “The Final Act! Odd Jobs Forever!”

The chances of this movie legit being about Gintoki’s past are about as astronomical as it being the Final Act.

But boy does it look pretty. And like always, the staff has a great sense of humor about it all. They know we know that they couldn’t adapt as many episodes because of the work put into the movie, but that didn’t stop them from teasing the fans over the past half-year. Never change, you’re the best. Benizakura-hen was based on old material, so it was still Sorachi when he was starting off. I’m curious as to how a more experienced gorilla manages to make the transition to the big screen. Well, it’s still a ways away.

Who knows, maybe they’re not lying for once. Miracles can still occur in the 21st century.

Winter Days, a Fateful Night

I hope all the episodes are 47 minutes. Anyway, Emiya Shirou. A ginger haired boy who tinkers with machines during his spare time, and sleeps in warehouses. However, he appears to be a mage, and he’s also the main character of Fate/Stay.

He lives in an old fashioned Japanese house, with a teacher named Fujimara turning up every day for breakfast, along with a purple haired girl named Sakura. He works here and there to help out, and his magic appears to be why he’s so capable of fixing machine, as it’s scanning magic. He scans machines to find out where they’re broken, and then fixes them. Emiya’s life appears to be even more chaotic than Rin’s life, being the school council presidents errand boy, living with his teacher and having strange friends. On his way home, his life gets even weirder, as a white clad girl says that if he won’t summon his soon, he’ll die.We also see him practicing his magic, which does appear to be a very interesting aspect of the magic, how he can trace a structure and analyze it, and all that stuff. He’s a scanner, or so one would assume. That said, he really does have a weird social life and knows a lot of weird people.

His charming social life is falling apart, or at least, those are the hints. What with gas leaks popping up in the city, and a grim murder occurring near the school, but the reason for his weirdness is pretty easy to guess. He’s an orphan who was adopted by a survivor of the previous Holy Grail War. He was found in burning wreckage and rubble ten years ago, but for the cause of that, go watch Fate/Zero. You also get the full story of Kiritsugu Emiya, Shirou’s adopted father.

Kiritsugu, scarred and worn down from the Holy Grail War, raised Shirou to be a hero, yet was sure to grind the grim reality of being a hero into his mind. This is probably why Shirou goes out of his way to help everyone, even if it means staying at school until the ridiculous hours of the night…which brings us to where Emiya sees Lancer and Archer fighting. As we already know, he gets stabbed by Lancer, and then revived by the magic stored in Rin’s pendant. He manages to stumble home despite his injury, however, he then gets ambushed by Lancer at his house.

This is where we get to see the true power of his magic, where he strengthens a roll of paper to become a weapon, despite the fact that he’s got no style or skill with fighting. However, as he stumbles into his workshop, Lancer realizes that Shirou’s meant to be the seventh Master to join in, and the summoning circle which has been left in his workshop by Kiritsugu activates…calling the blond haired woman we know as Saber. With her sword of wind, Saber rushes to Shirou’s side to engage Lancer in yet another stunning battle. Unfortunately, Lancer reveals his identity, mostly due to the fact that he uses the Gae Bolg. With the fight resolved, Saber says that there are two more enemies outside, which takes us to where she undergoes a fight with Archer. Shirou uses one of his command seals to stop Saber from fighting the two, and in return for this, Rin reveals herself before Emiya.

What an episode. It covers everything you need to know before the war actually starts, and this is significantly better than the original Fate/Stay already. Here’s where the story diverges, too. In the original Saber wounded Archer in the fight, meaning that Archer was unable to fight, and as such, him and Rin stayed out of most of the war. In Unlimited Blade Works, this route, Shirou stopped Saber before Archer could be heavily wounded. I’m also really impressed at how much work they’ve put into linking Fate Zero with this story, with the backstory and the links coming out quickly, even during the summon sequence with Saber. I personally thought her “Great, not this again” reaction was pretty charming and really helped to fill the gap between series.

The Ancient Magus' Bride

I've left this continuing show from the autumn until last simply because I'm still not too sure what to say about it without my thoughts turning into a word salad - in short, I like it, but for reasons even I can't quite discern.
Above all else I suspect my enjoyment of the series comes less from its characters - although they're growing on me constantly - and more from the show's world. There's something delightful about the way its depicted - a world of magic and the supernatural where there's menace around every corner, but not in the sense of "bad guys" that want to ruin everything but rather natural dangers or those who are simply operating to different means and ends than you or I.

Shinsekai Yori

Rewind back to the dawn of fall 2012, you are looking at the fall 2012 anime chart, and you pick probably 5-7 anime you are going to watch. But I can promise that the majority of you, as did I, most likely did not have Shinsekai Yori as a pick. During midst of 2013 I looked at Shinsekai Yori, the promotional picture did not catch my eye and the premises did not spark my interests. However, I did give it a shot and after finishing the anime I can promise that it is truly a spectacle, a diamond in the ruff.

The story takes place in Japan a thousand years from the present in a utopia where a portion of the population retain a special power called psychokinesis. From the beginning we follow a group of five children as they grow up in the anime and see how they develop within a community bounded by strict rules, and deal with the decisions they make that alter the course of their lives and the entire society they live in. The plot of the show flows very nicely from episode to episode and just as we approach the climax, there’s a plot twist and the storyline from that point just flips upside down in a way you would never expect it to.

The characters in this anime are just something else, with Saki as it’s shining star. The main characters start off as children and by the end of the anime they are adults, with proper illustration of character development. There are a couple of anime who have attempted this children to adulthood metamorphosis motif within one season but they do not pull it off as well as Shinsekai Yori. With an anime that has twenty-five episodes, you would think it would not be enough time for proper character development from children to adults. However, Shinsekai Yori pulls this off very smoothly, which is evidently seen with Saki and Satoru, which even applies to the supporting characters as well. You will not see one character behaving as such and then the next episode they are being the polar opposite, everything is explained and shown very well.

The sound is one of the areas this anime excels in. Every sound that you would not even care for is implemented in every episode and added in the appropriate places, at the appropriate times; the echoing of the voices in a dim room, the rippling of water flowing from a stream. Not to mention soundtrack produced in this amine, which is amazing. Just youtube the battle theme, even if you have not watched the anime yet, it will entice your interests in this anime.

The quality of the art and the animation is what you would expect of any anime standards that are out there today: clear, crisp and pleasing to the eye. The characters and the environment in each of the scenes are drawn to a level of detail, not too simple, yet not to far in detail as well, just in the middle. The quality of art really makes you focus on the message the anime is trying to radiate to the viewer; more than focusing of the wow factor on how amazing the art is.

In terms of the enjoyment, this is not an anime that starts off on a high note and continues as such from there. The first two or three episodes really butters you up, but once you hit the fourth or fifth episode, I promise you, you will be hooked and you will just watch one episode after another. Even if you are more into romance, comedy, action or any genre that is not related to Shinsekai Yori, this anime is definitely worth watching and will probably open the doors to other anime series you never bothered to watch.

Overall I really enjoyed this anime, people should give it a try (unexpectedly, it even became one of my favourites). It did not look appealing to me at first, hence “diamond in the ruff”, but once I started and things picked up, I just wrapped myself in a blanket and marathon’d the whole show. Just looking back at the anime, I will say that one of the highlights of this show is it's ability to take the morals and values of the world we live in and put it into perspective from watching what the characters do to each other and the outcomes that blossom from their decisions. Give Shinsekai Yori a try and you will see what I mean!

Violet Evergarden

Who knew that a Kyoto Animation series would look this gorgeous? Oh, right, everyone did, my bad.
Thankfully there's more to Violet Evergarden than just jaw-droppingly gorgeous character designs, animation and backgrounds - the show has a lot of heart too. In a sense, it's an unusual series - not particularly interested in the trappings of war, but far more interested in looking at the aftermath of a major conflict after weapons have been lowered and what effect that's had on the people captured within the story's focus.
At the centre of this, of course, is Violet - a girl brought up knowing nothing but war, and now having to come to terms with peacetime as someone who has thus far lived her life as an emotionless killing machine. Her blunt take on the people she meets and their situations has worked well thus far in putting over some interesting stories, and at the time of writing it seems that we're going to reach deeper into the psyche of Violet herself as she has to face up to her past more fully. I'm looking forward to seeing where that goes, and if it can blend that with the other elements that has made Violet Evergarden work well thus far then we could be set for a memorable series.

After the Rain

I don't know anyone who wasn't a little worried by the premise of this "teenage girl falls in love with middle-aged man" series - yet somehow, here we are almost halfway into the show, and a lot of expectations have been subverted by this charming little show.
Admittedly, After the Rain still has a lot of work to do to sell me on the romance at its core - a teenage girl falling for a kind man who helps her out when she hits a low point is utterly believable, but there's still not a whole lot for me to hang my hat on as to why the idea is even humoured by the other party in said relationship.
For now though, it's just about doing enough for that core relationship to function, and the rest of the series is sumptuous enough to do the rest of the heavy lifting. For starters, the show is beautiful to look at - not just colourful and eye-catching in its world and designs, but also sporting a splendid attention to detail around its characters, particularly our young protagonist Akira Tachibana, who makes up for her curt speech by speaking volumes in her movements and body language. The show also has a strong grasp of comedy alongside an innate understanding of Akira's troubles and desires, and the two become closely intertwined elements that power the series through as an enjoyable experiences that never gets too bogged down in its minutiae.

In terms of my surprise of the season, this is top of the list - a show I started watching in the expectation of hating it and dropping it in short order, only to find it currently sitting at or close to the top of my favourite shows for the winter.
At its core, the show's conceit is pretty simple - when two members of a dysfunctional family are kidnapped in broad daylight, panic gives way to the grandfather of said family cooling mentioning that he has the ability to stop time for everyone except them. However, what should make the rescue of protagonist Juri's brother and nephew instead leads them into a terrifying dilemma and seemingly insurmountable danger.
While its "time freezing" idea is a simple but joyful one in itself that is wonderfully depicted within the series, where Kokkoku excels is in how it uses this premise. When you take away police and passers-by, turning them into virtual mannequins, and then pit our plucky family up against a gang of criminals, what should be a warm, welcoming town instead becomes the home of a claustrophobic pressure cook housing a high-stakes game of cat and mouse. It's an over-used phrase to suggest that anything "has you on the edge of your seat", but that's truly the case here - every scene is filled with tension and the sense that the cast are walking a tightrope of life or death, and the presentation of the series as a whole does a lot to accentuate that.
Yes, Kokkoku has its lazy moments - on several occasions it shoots for the bottom of the barrel when it needs to find a credible threat to Juri - but thankfully these missteps are offset against a show that is a show packed with drama and horror that it leverages to reach the pinnacle of dramatic tension every single week.

[TOKYO GHOUL FANDOM IS DEAD]

~~Hello blog readers,I'm just a ghost which tries to express its feelings.~~Tokyo Ghoul's second season just ended. Nowadays, I barely watched anything except TG and Parasyte, and occasionally Death Parade. As one of my fav anime has ended (AND very tragically), I just fell into pieces.
{SPOILER POST}We all were so excited to see the second season, even though we knew we would just be tore apart by our emotions. And it happened. Now the fandom (literally) is dead. Just the ending crushed us. We barely survived each episode and it slowely lead us to our death. The emotions, drama and tragedy built up and the last episode was a catastrophy!!
A lot have happened during the second season and in actual fact the anime was corresponding to the manga somehow (idk my friend was keeping me informed). The difference was that Kaneki joined Aogiri and the ending that I will talk about later on. Overall, the season was very good; it was entertaining, interesting, kept us being attached to the characters and the good story. Still, I can't decide what side I'm mostly on; investigators or ghouls. The anime kept a balance between both sides of the 'war' by the way. Furthermore, the characters fell apart; our fabulous Tsukiyama is emotionally broken, our lively and crazy Juzo is depressed, Kaneki's soul became more dark. As well as that, the second season showed us the past of Anteiku's boss, and some background of Kaya and Enji which was terribly sad.
First vs Last Appearance

In my previous post about TG coming back and Kaneki reminding me of Allen, I mentioned Kaneki being gloomy and less lively. HE WAS FREAKING TORTURED THROUGH THE WHOLE SECOND SEASON. As Kaneki gained a lot of power he found difficult to control himself. He was in horrible pain in order to be strong and protect his friends. It was just a nightmare to watch the season as Anteiku was living their life to the fullest (somehow?) and Kaneki was looking like a traitor (bc he was attacking people like CCG cars and looked like a criminal and become famous in CCG etc) and has been lonely and in pain all the time. Furthermore, the second season just wrecked me to the fullest. Another thing worth to mention was Touka who studied hard in order to be in the same college as Kaneki. She was really worrying about him and without showing that - she wanted him to come back to Anteiku.

People who waited for the second season would know that a 'poster' was published before the season started. It showed Kaneki holding someone who was covered with white blanket. The poster represented the 'tragic' end that will happen and the fandom just got cracy as of "WHAT WILL HAPPEN!?!". We were nor ready. Everybody was guessing that 'someone' will die and almost everybody was saying "Touka". Hahahahaha..........no! They deceived us. The body may look more feminine and there are flowers that were used in the opening were Touka was shown. Yet, our SUNSHINE died. This is the most horrible idea ever! Hide (my little sunshine ;-;) was caring so much for Kaneki and he even knew that Kaneki was a ghoul since the fight with Nishiki. After Kaneki's disappearance, Hide was looking for him - hanging missing posters. In the last episode while horribly wounded he carried Kaneki to Anteiku made him a cofffee and spend his last moments with his bff. Hide is a hero as he rescued Kaneki from dying outside and from the darkness within him as from the first time and forever Kaneki laughed which made my heart warm T^T. And he died. YET, I have a bit of hope left that he may live as he smiled while Kaneki was crying before him.[TOKYO GHOUL FANDOM IS DEAD]

One of the anime that I started to watch is "Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai!". It is an anime from Kyoto Animation studio. To be honest, I will watch anything made by them but I think this anime is that one exception!

One good point about this anime is the animation because as always it is beautiful!! The main character (Rikka Takanashi ) from this anime is also very well known as when the series began there was so many people that started to cosplay her. Those two factors encourage me even more to watch it as if it has such a fan base it must be good.(」゜ロ゜)」

I think the reason that I didn't find the liking in the anime was that I had high expectations to the plot itself. I knew that the anime includes some supernatural theme so you thought this is another "Koukai no Kanata". As you may not know, this anime was just INCREDIBLE! Unfortunately, Chuunibyou demo Koi ga Shitai was just an anime about delusional kids that are too cringy to watch. >.< This is my opinion as I give all anime a shot but no matter how much I forced myself, I couldn't enjoy it. My friend who was watching said it suppose to be fun but because of my high expectations and my deep sense of reality... this was not anime for me.

If you want to know the plot of this anime is that a boy named Yuta who suffers from Chūnibyō which translates to 'second year middle school student disease'. This means he just imagines himself having powers and that he is "Dark Flame Master". As a result of how he was acting in middle school, he never made any friends. (I'm not wondering why) Therefore, in High school he decided to leave his 'dark' past and be normal until he meets girl called Rikka who unfortunately is still in this delusion.

I don't know if I don't have good patience because this may be a story that develops and ends well but after 5 episodes I gave up. This reminds of weeboo's that watch too much Naruto and start to become 'Naruto' themselves.... just don't ಠ_ಠ
