Comptage automatique des colonies : Pendant longtemps, le dénombrement des colonies a reposé sur une méthode simple : observer une boîte de Petri et compter manuellement les colonies visibles. Avec l'automatisation des laboratoires, le comptage des colonies évolue vers des systèmes capables d'acquérir une image standardisée, de détecter les colonies et de fournir rapidement un résultat reproductible. L'automatisation du comptage ne remplace pas l'expertise du microbiologiste ; elle lui permet de se concentrer davantage sur l'analyse, l'interprétation et la validation des résultats.
