New instructors join summer teaching lineup in thriving undergraduate journalism program

UC Berkeley Journalism’s undergraduate minor is booming this year, with hundreds of students enrolled in summer classes taught by faculty and other award-winning journalists on topics that range from podcasting to investigative reporting to photography and data journalism.

Susie Neilson (’19), Garance Burke (’04) and Kathleen Hennessey (’04) were named Pulitzer Prize winners. Another eight Berkeley Journalism alumni were honored as part of award-winning or finalist teams.
