Yeah. This is my 198th LJ entry. Hard to believe, eh?

I've decided to pack up and move journals. I'm dead serious on this... I realized that I can't post anything deep on here anymore without someone like that person (usukthebigdik) coming along and using it against me. So I'm going to stop seriously updating my LJ. Don't worry... I'll still update, but my entries will lack the usual insight that they usually do. From now on, my LJ entires will consist of trivial things, and I may only update once or twice every two weeks. Maybe even once or twice a month. Who knows?

For those of you who are interested in acquiring the URL to my new journal, just comment in this post and leave your e-mail address or your AIM SN. Also, BE SURE TO IDENTIFY WHO YOU ARE. I will not e-mail or IM you if you do not identify who you are! ('course, some of you will get the URL regardless of whether or not you comment in this post.)

A simple anecdote...

I had always assumed that I knew exactly what people meant when they hated Ms. Medler. I thought I did, too. Until today. Today I learned what it really meant to hate Ms. Medler.

Recently she assigned us this biome brochure project. Alexa, Priscilla, and I pretty much worked our butts off on it. Today we got it back with a grade. The grade, you ask? 85. We got 15 points subtracted because we weren't neat enough, we didn't have enough captions, and for something that looks like "land nic."

THAT'S FUCKING UNFAIR.

We work our butts off for a lousy 85?! I agree with the captions part, but NOT with the un-neat part. At least ours didn't have writing all over the place! (I can't argue for or against the last 5 points... I don't know what the heck a "land nic" is.)

Jordan's group produced a beautifully colorful brochure. I'm dead serious. It was bright and colorful! And what did they get? 85.

Ashley's group forgot to include the plants found in their biome. And what do they get? 100. Mind you, the five things that you needed in your brochure were weather/climate, clothing to pack, plants, animals, and a map of the biome. That really is unfair. A 100 for forgetting to include plants. No offense to you, Ashley, or anyone else in your group, but that really is unfair. We get a lousy 85 because we're not neat or forget captions or something involving land nic but you get a 100 because you forgot plants?

On top of that Ms. Medler decided to spring onto us a 40-ish multiple choice question review 10 minutes before class ended. Why? "Well, since you guys aren't studying for your test tomorrow I'm going to make you study." She basically said enough to the point where you could assume that she wanted all of the questions answered before class let out. And even on top of that I mis-heard one of the pages and ended up doing the wrong page for 5 minutes. So, assuming that there were 40 questions altogether and she grades it on how many you did out of 40, well, I handed her a paper worth a grade of 18. (I only did 7 questions. Remember, I did the wrong page for 5 minutes!)

And as for the studying thing.. Well, yesterday I frickin' wrote down everything I needed to know for the test.

I talked with Ashley and Nicole about this and it turns out that Ms. Medler's done this before to her previous classes, but Nicole doesn't know if she ever counted them towards our grades. She better fucking not! Ashley also hypothesized that she only gave us those questions to shut us up. I hope so.

After Ms. Medler handed me back the grade we made on the brochure I just sat there in stony silence. And as I sat, I began to think. Things I do somehow or another ends up futile. Argue about Ms. Medler about our grade? Futile. I'm dead serious. She'll probably go, "Well, it's your fault you didn't spend enough time on your brochure." Fuck that.

I also got around to thinking about Leo. It's so futile, this crush is. Even if I tell him, 99.9% chance says he's straight... Why me? Why do I always have to fall for the straight guys?

All of this hellishness finally caught up to me. As I was waiting for the bus this afternoon I just broke out in anger and then broke down crying. I couldn't take it anymore. The grade we didn't deserve, the stupid 10-minute review, Leo... It just seemed so... So... Hopeless.

Leo saw me crying. The girls (Samantha, Christina, Tiffany, Kristi, and probably some others) kinda crowded around me and protected me and warded off potential bullies as I stood there crying my eyes out. After some of Leo's other friends left he came over to kinda check up on me. I appreciated that a lot.

...If only.

Hey, people. I haven't written in awhile.

First order of business... The L.D. Bell Band Mini-Concert!

Okay, first off, not many CJH people came. Shame on you if you didn't go! They were pretty cool.

Anyways, Alexa gave me a ride over to the place that they were holding it at (a Kroger parking lot, of all places) and then we decided to head into the Kroger to buy yummies to eat. I bought Sweet Mesquite BBQ Pringles and Sour Skittles. While we were doing that check-it-out-yourself thingy, one of the employees asked us if we needed any help at all, and we replied "no." Then he asked Alexa if she was William's brother. (She is.) I burst out in laugher. I couldn't believe it! Alexa was recognized at, of all places, a Kroger!

We went out and Alexa was still kinda, well, "grrr." She bought some water from a vending machine and it was in a can! XD

After the mini-concert Alexa and I were still waiting for her dad to come back, so she, me, and Aubree all decided to go have some fun at the dollar store! We went to the very back and sat on a cart and ate chips and cheetos. It was very fun. We decided not to go into the other dollar store (there were two) because it was infested with bees/wasps/whatever the heck they were.

Her dad came and we dropped Aubree off and then she dropped me off. Ta-da.

The rest is pretty short, so I won't need to LJ cut it...

JOHN COCHRAN SUCKS. >> I just had to say that.

I recently had a conversation with Cody about what I put in my LJ about him reading my journal. It turns out that, well, he never visited my journal before. He JUST visited that day because Priscilla mentioned that I was mad at him in my LJ.

I don't know what I feel about any guy anymore. It's like... Argh. It's a bad emotional rollercoaster. I don't feel like I should go into detail. I might end up saying things that people will go, like, "You like WHO?!" I am NOT saying anything else until I'm 100% sure on what I feel...

You know, this past week I've been learning about inductive reasoning. Inductive reasoning is reasoning from the specific to the general. And, this morning, I got to use inductive reasoning to reach a conclusion about something that was said to me.

Yes, Cody Honolka, I am fully aware that Shawn Gillespie now goes to Central. How do you think I saw him? Do you think I just flipped through the 2000 or 2001 Wilshire yearbook and saw him? No way.

As you can see, I have used inductive reasoning to arrive at this particular conclusion. This morning Cody said to me that Shawn Gillespie went to Central. Now, nobody at Central could even know I was thinking about Shawn unless they had read my journal or were informed by someone who had read my journal. I could easily rule out the gossipping part. Nearly everyone who reads my journal doesn't really go out and spread word. If they tried to, though, they might find a surprise sitting in their e-mail one day.

Anyways, I arrived at the conclusion that Cody had read my journal.

So... I'll say this... Cody, I have no idea in hell what your intent and purpose has been in acting like you have towards me for the past.. Oh.. Forever? What? Do you hate me? I'm really surprised that you haven't gossipped yet. I really wouldn't put it past you. Even after all of these years I really still can't figure you out, and I probably will never be able to.

Getting off the cynical track now, I will say this. Cody, at least try to be a tad bit more careful about what you say to me at school concerning anything in my journal or about my journal. That goes for everyone. It really isn't that smart to just yell "Hey, Shawn Gillespie goes to school here!" from across the room.

Getting even more past the cynical track, I'm grumpily going to apologize to you, Cody, should this seem a little bit too harsh.

Amazing what you can learn when you pay attention in school.

Yeah, so maybe I was a little late. Blame that on me playing Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Chaos Bleeds, homework, and watching Boogiepop Phantom. I bought the super duper cool ultra limited edition box set yesterday. Goodies galore! :D

This Labor Day Weekend was filled with lots of finales. I was presented with the finale of Buffy AND the last book of Remnants in one day. Sheesh. My thoughts on both shall come at a later date. For now... Quiz results!

Okay. Some of you Wilshire people may remember Shawn Gillespie. Well, he didn't go to Central for 7th or 8th grade, but he's here for 9th. And I just saw him today.

First, let's back up. I never really made it public in my journals, but my resolution for the 9th grade year was to NOT fall for another guy like I did with Austin. It would end up really horribly.

Now, back on track to Shawn Gillespie. Why is he mentioned? Well, damn it all to hell, he'll probably make me break my resolution. Dammit. Dammit. Dammit.

This doesn't mean I'm over Austin. In fact, I get angry whenever I think about Austin getting gawked at for being the "cute new guy." I don't like thinking about that.

And... That's probably it.

EDIT 8-25-03: I realized that I spelled Shawn's name wrong, so I went back and changed it. Oopsies.

Two stories to tell today...

And now, I present two stories, told in (almost) chronological order.

Houston
Okay, so we pack into the car at around 7:30-ish AM on Friday morning to head to Houston. It was about a 4 hour drive. Ugh. So, I brought books and my laptop to entertain me. I brought Animorphs Megamorphs #2 and Animorphs #19 as well as Battle Royale. For the laptop I brought the first three episodes of GetBackers (I had episodes 4 and 5 on the laptop) and episodes 1-4 of the GTO drama for Jen. I also brought Tenchi movies 2 and 3. The night before I also downloaded episode 7.19 of Buffy.

Anyways, we went to Houston, and went to my aunt and uncle's house. There I met another uncle, Don. He was pretty cool. Upon arrival Jen and I monopolized the TV (it's a crime to not have anything on at Friday afternoon) and then ate lunch. We went to a motel (it was shiny and new... Pretty neat) and then went back to my aunt and uncle's house for dinner. Well, my parents and my two uncles and some other relatives decided to go downtown for dinner, but Jen and I didn't feel like going. I bet it was because there was cable TV, and The Cheetah Girls was going to premiere that night. (Not to mention that there would be a new Lizzie McGuire episode showing right before The Cheetah Girls.) So, as a result, we just sat there and watched TV. Everybody didn't come back until around 8:30 PM. They brought home noodles for me and Jen. Mmm. (We never got to finish watching The Cheetah Girls. The TV was overtaken by my dad and uncle so they could watch football.)

Jen and I took the laptop (we brought it with us to the house) and went into the living room so she could finish watching GTO episode 1. She liked it, and we ended up watching, like, all of the other episodes that same night. Needless to say, we didn't get back to our room until around 11:30 PM.

The next day, we went back to the house for the wedding ceremony. Once again, Jen and I monopolized the TV, but nobody really cared, because they were all participating in the ceremony. (It was done Vietnamese-style.) They were short on people for the "handing off of food," so I was forced to become the final participant. After my part was done (it only took, like, three minutes) I went back to the dining room to watch TV. (They have their TV in the kitchen/dining room area. It's actually not a bad place to put the TV. There's more than enough room.)

We had lunch, and some time after we went back to the motel room. More time passed. Yadda yadda yadda. Then we went to Kim Phung Restaurant for the dinner reception. Geez, it was awesome! Lots of great food and we happened to be sitting at the table from which all of the party poppers came from! Ha ha!

Anyways, we finally got back to the motel around 11:30 PM ish, and went to bed. The next day, around 8 AM-ish, we all got up and left. And that was our trip to Houston. (By the way, Jen and I managed to watch everything I brought... GetBackers 1-5, GTO drama 1-4, Buffy 7.19, and Tenchi movies 2 and 3. An amazing feat.)

First day of school

Well, my mom drove Jen and I to school. I went to the Band Hall and deposited my junk there, and hung around in the Band Hall. Blah blah blah. I went to go check the homeroom listings, and to my delight I found that I was in Pre-AP World Geography 1st period with some of my friends. The bell rang, we went to the room, and blah blah blah. Seats, paperwork, TV broadcasts that didn't like Ms. Fidler...

2nd period was GT English. I went, thinking that I'd have to hand in my project to Ms. Hardin, but to my surprise we had a sub the first day! He was pretty cool, and told stories and called roll by our middle names. I didn't like the middle names part. (He also assigned new middle names according to our middle inital.. I was "Lucky." As commented by Ruth and Priscilla, it sounds like a dog.) To top it all off, Cody Honolka's in the class. Argh.

3rd period was Spanish I. Woosh. She got us right to work. We've got a quiz this week. Argh. Translators, here I come...

4th was Band. Wow. We sightread.

Lunch was a disaster. They turned off the drink machines, saying that the district had said that they could have drink machines, but they couldn't have carbonated drinks. So until the issue is resolved, the machines won't be turned on. Dammit. They're taking away Wild Cherry Pepsi and Pepsi Blue! ARGH! To top it all off, they've instituted new rules for lunch. There will be no absolutely no lunch brought for you by your parents, you are not allowed to get out of your seat the last 10 minutes of lunch, and you'll be dismissed to throw away your trash by levels. UGH. The first two rules I have major problems with. It, like, sucks. And we have to wear our IDs at all times. Dammit.

5th period was pretty "blah." It appears that it's going to be smooth sailing.

6th period was Pre-AP Geometry. It seems like that's going to be another easy class, too. Unfortunately, Kirtan sits in front of me. -____- And the class is packed. We filled up all of the desks. (She leaves one desk unoccupied because it's hard to see from.)

7th period was... ARGH. Ms. Medler's still around. ARGH. >< I really thought we'd finally be rid of her... But noooo. She's stuck around and still the Biology teacher. To top THAT off, I realized that I left my Geometry book in her class. Oh well. I guess I'll stop by tomorrow morning to pick it up.

In short, school kinda sucks without a chance of seeing Austin.

Yeah. I'm heading off to Houston for the weekend. I'll be back on Sunday. (I'm going for a wedding.) As a result, I won't have internet access. All I'll have is my laptop. Bah.

Oh, and I finally finished my Fahrenheit 451 project. Feg. The book had a great plot, but it was poorly executed.

Freaky Friday was released in theaters earlier this week on Wednesday. I wanted to go see it, but I couldn't see it that day (too late when I checked the showtimes) and neither could I see it on Thursday. So, today, Friday, was the only day I could see Freaky Friday. To top it off, Chobits volume 7 wasn't even released in my area at the same time as everyone else. So, naturally, I was pissed.

Oh, by the way, Freaky Friday was pretty funny. It's an 8.5 out of 10.

Anyways, I called Waldenbooks earlier today after I got back from Summer Band and, surprise surprise, they had Chobits volume 7.

Before I get even more serious, volume 7 was pretty revealing. I like the manga Zima more than the anime Zima. I really do.

After seeing Freaky Friday, I headed for the mall. I went straight to Waldenbooks, and promptly read volume 12 of CardCaptor Sakura and then volume 13 of MARS. After skimming a little of GTO volume 11 and just sitting there, my mom finally came back and bought Chobits volume 7 and X-Day volume 1 for me. Then, we decided that we could buy Chick-Fil-A to eat at home, since it was only, like, 5 PM. We headed for the food court, and on the way, I saw a very familiar group of people.

I swear, he stood out like a sore thumb.

I waved and said "hi" to Kira, and all I could do was wave to Austin as I walked past. As we passed, it was like we were the only people in the mall. I didn't notice anyone else.

When we reached Chick-Fil-A, I had to sit on the bench. I immediately felt drained for some reason and super tired. Why? I don't know.

Later on, as we headed for Wal-Mart, I began reading volume 7 of Chobits. There was much more than there was in the anime, and I felt myself relating to the story of Freya... It was weird, in a way.

And that brings me to my point. It was totally fate that delayed volume 7 from getting into my grubby little hands. It was totally fate how I couldn't see Freaky Friday until today. It was totally fate how this all happened so I could see Austin again.

In Chobits, the A City With No People books are written by Ms. Hibiya for Chi to help Chi find her "someone just for her." Is it possible that I was fated to be introduced to Chobits to help me find my someone just for me?

While we were heading for Wal-Mart, I thought about something... Would I ever be able to love someone like I did Austin? Would it end up like it did with me and Austin? COULD I love someone else? The answer is... No. I can't. I don't know. Maybe something down along the line will change my mind. I have no clue what will happen later on. But all I know is that I don't want it to hurt like it did with Austin... I don't want to sit pining over someone I can't have... I don't want to know that they can't love me back...

Maybe I'll change my mind.

Well, it wasn't so bad. I don't remember Summer Band ever being so funny. We kept cracking up. It was so weird and funny at the same time.

To top off the euphoric feeling of being able to laugh again, Austin stopped by. To tell the truth, I was hoping he would be coming, but I didn't hold out any hope. So imagine my surprise when I turn my head and there's Austin sitting in a chair not far from me. Afterwards I silently hit my head on my clarinet and told myself to not look like a dunce.

Anyways, I didn't get to talk to Austin. In fact, all we did was wave at each other. Oh well. I got to see him one last time before he moved, and I'm happy that I did. (I'm still a little suspicious that Alexa might've gotten Austin to come for my sake, but, eh, I don't think Alexa'd do that.)

So, I guess that's really it.

Oh, yes, and now we, the Band Officers, are to decide the band shirt. Everyone immediately disagreed on "Band." and I was like, "Darn." (We're thinking about having a retro kind of t-shirt. Now that I think about it, those words, "retro" and "t-shirt," should not belong in the same sentence.) I, personally, have no idea what I want on the shirt. The only thing I have strong feelings for are the color of the t-shirt. Light blue is NOT a good t-shirt color.

The lyrics today are of "The Scientist" by Coldplay. After looking at the lyrics for the first time, they scared me. They really did. Why? Let's see if you can figure that out...

Yeah. I was insanely bored earlier today, so I decided to go and read every LJ entry I ever made. I just stopped around May 2003. I realized that as 2003 progressed I recognized more of my current self in the entries.

Before, though, I found that I was insanely hyperactive. My pre-7th grade entries (I joined and created my LJ on August 12th, 2001) exuded an aura of hyperactivity. It was so WEIRD. Then, as my junior high life progressed, I read how I slowly descended into the throes of depression (or, at least, what passes as depression for someone like me) and then came back up and then descended again. It was a really weird rollercoaster.

I still haven't found those people who think that they have Alex's best interests at heart. (Hint, dearies, insulting and threatening other people don't help any.)

Reading the entries, too, made me realize that I really and truly did cross that crush/love line with Austin. I just wonder if Austin ever thinks of me from time to time.

By the way, yesterday was August 1st, which is Odaiba Memorial. Not that any of you Digimon watchers probably even remember what Odaiba Memorial IS...

Oh, and we've got a new layout, as you may notice. Touya (the tall one) and Yukito (the one with the glasses) from CardCaptor Sakura.

I read what Austin put in his AIM profile awhile ago, and it kinda put me down in a little mood. ._.

I recently finished watching FLCL. You MUST watch at least one episode, if you can at all. It'll premiere on August 4th at 11 PM on Cartoon Network. Please, do try to watch all 6 episodes if you can. (A new episode a week.) It may not make sense at first, but, boy, is it hilarious.

Goddammit, I want to see Austin before he moves. I really do. It's just not enough talking to him online. And he still hasn't heard "When I'm With You." Blah. I'll keep trying to send it to him until it kills me!

Oh, and I just saw a little Japanese news clip from the press conference about the live-action Sailormoon show they're going to premiere there in October. The girls look pretty okay in the sailor fuku. At least they don't have the grossly oversized wigs from SeraMyu. (Did they really have to go ahead and give them wigs? I really wanted no unnatural hair color... Oh well. They look real enough.)

Review of SK3D...

Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over
Juni Cortez is now a private investigator after having a fall out with the OSS. Now, the OSS must convince Juni to come back just once, because his sister, Carmen, is now missing due to a game called "Game Over"...

Short summary, but, really, that's all it is.

If you loved the first two movies, you'll like this one. The 3-D thing really annoyed me, though, because it was the awful red/blue way to do it, and it just discolored everything on the screen.

Also, watching this movie does have it's drawbacks. At least, watching it on the opening weekend. Kids everywhere were going "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO" and "WOW" and giggling at the whole 3-D thing. e.e

I really liked how the end managed to get back everyone from the past two movies. At least, everyone important.

They even managed to get Elijah Wood in on this movie. He plays "The Guy." If you ask me, the whole "The Guy" thing is a thinly veiled parody of "The One" from The Matrix.

Yes. It's of David Boreanaz. It took me awhile to track the image down, mostly because my internet was down and wouldn't reconnect to the computers for a few hours.

Anyways, now I'm re-reading all of the Animorphs books in chronological order. (I have to skip over The Andalite Chronicles because I don't have my copy anymore... I lost it.)

And, I got a freaky dream last night. You can go read it right here at my DreamJournal. It's quite a doozy.

Oh, yeah, and Mr. Riggins told me the TMEA Honor Band results last night. We, the 02-03 CJH Symphonic Band, tied for 2nd. Oh well. We won't be going to San Antonio anytime soon, but, hey, we beat Bedford. (They came in 4th.)

Anyways, that's probably about it...

...Unless you want to know my thoughts on every single Digimon season/series.

BTW, the ratings have nothing to do with my personal favorites.

Oh, and I bought volume 1 of Gravitation. My one peeve is that Tohma looks an awful lot like Shuichi, but, hey, the art should get better... Other than that, if shounen ai doesn't offend you, go buy it. It's rather funny.

Digimon Adventure
Taichi Yagami, Yamato Ishida, Koushirou Izumi, Jou Kido, Mimi Tachikawa, Sora Takenouchi, and Takeru Takaishi are at a summer camp. On August 1, 1999, while they are at camp, a bizzare snowstorm starts up, and then, up in the sky, you can see the aurora borealis. Now, since when can you see them in Japan? Suddenly, seven small objects hurtle themselves to the ground in front of the kids. They rise out of the ground and the kids grab them. Out of nowhere, they are sucked into a strange wave. One by one, they wake up in a strange place, with a creature called a "Digimon" near them. They tell the kids that they are their Digimon Partners, and that they are on File Island, which resides in the Digital World...

This season, overall, was just the "hey-let's-get-the-kids-introduced-to-this-Digimon-thing" season. It was rather basic, and could easily be divided up into the Devimon Arc, Etemon Arc, Vamdemon Arc, Dark Masters Arc, and the final Apocalymon Arc. The Devimon Arc was very basic. The kids just explored File Island and basically had to defeat the big baddie on the island, Devimon. The Etemon Arc involved the kids going to the continent of Server to find their Crests. The Vamdemon Arc started out rather strange, and eventually led to the kids getting back to the Real World to stop Vamdemon from finding the eighth Chosen Child. That Chosen Child turned out to be Taichi's sister, Hikari. After the kids beat Vamdemon, they traveled back to the Digital World to find it in ruins, thanks to the Dark Masters, who rose to power shortly after the kids left the Digital World. (Time goes faster in the Digital World than in the Real World.) After beating all four of the Dark Masters, the Puppet Master (as the big baddie in every Digimon series is so affectionately called), Apocalymon, revealed himself. After beating Apocalymon, the kids had finally fulfilled what they were called to the Digital World for, and so they had to go home, and leave their Partners back in the Digital World.

In short, I loved this series, mostly because it was the first. The one thing that irked me was that there was an imbalance between the humans and Digimon in terms of character development. You end up caring more for the humans than the Digimon. But, oh well. I should note that this problem is never truly resolved until Digimon Frontier, which is the one series that does away with Digimon Partners altogether.

The ending, which I factor heavily into the overall rating, was good. It didn't leave too much open nor did it leave any indication of a Digimon Adventure 02. (Of course, by the time 01 ended there were already previews for 02.)

Digimon Adventure 02
It's been three years since the end of Digimon Adventure. The kids have led a normal life, up until the point where there seems to be trouble in the Digital World. Taichi goes to check it out, and finds a strange egg shaped thing in a cave called a DigiMental. When he touches it, three shining objects are released and fly out of the cave. They shoot through the Digital Gate on the computer screen in the computer room of Odaiba Elementary School, and end up in the hands on Daisuke Motomiya, Miyako Inoue, and Iori Hida. Daisuke goes to the Digital World with Hikari and Takeru, and ends up getting his very own Digimon Partner, V-mon, and the DigiMental of Courage. With the DigiMental of Courage V-mon Armor Evolved into Fladramon and got rid of the Dark Ring on Monochromon. It turns out that there's a human in the Digital World named the Digimon Kaizer, and he seems intent on ruling the Digital World.

This season can also be divided into arcs. First is the Kaizer Arc, then the Archnemon Arc, BlackWarGreymon Arc, Real World Arc, and finally the BelialVamdemon Arc. If you've watched all of 02, then you must know that my division of arcs is odd, since Archnemon appears from 22 until her death in 48. (Or was it 49?) But, hey, it seems so weird to just let there be 8 episodes of no arc at all. Anyways, we've got the Kaizer Arc, which is all about the kids (Daisuke, Miyako, Iori, Takeru, and Hikari) battling the Kaizer's evil. The Dark Towers that the Kaizer have put up prevent evolution, so the kids must use the DigiMentals to armor evolve, since the Dark Towers can't prevent that. Later on we see that the Kaizer is, in the Real World, the genius Ken Ichijouji. Y'know, one of those "I can do anything" types. The kids eventually get through to the Kaizer, and thus, the Kaizer is beaten. Ken goes back to the Real World in an almost coma-like state. Meanwhile, the kids begin to take down all of the remaining Dark Towers. Unbeknownst to them, a Digimon named Archnemon can use her hairs to change the Dark Towers into Digimon. She eventually ends up using 100 of her hairs to create BlackWarGreymon. The kids are helpless against him. Since the Dark Towers are down, the Digimon Partners can now evolve. In a battle with BlackWarGreymon, XV-mon and Stingmon Jogress Evolve into Paildramon. Then, BlackWarGreymon begins on a quest to destroy all of the Holy Stones. If all 7 are destroyed, then the Digital World will exist no more. BlackWarGreymon is defeated right before he is about to destroy the last one. On Christmas Day, however, Digimon begin to appear and wreak havoc in the Real World. The Chosen Children decide to head out to the various parts of the world and return the Digimon to the Digital World. Then, they learn that there are not just Chosen Children in Japan, but rather, there are Chosen Children all over the world! After helping to return the Digimon back to the Digital World, the kids return to Japan, but then more strange things happen. It seems that kids are disappearing one after the other in Tokyo. It doesn't help any that the Demon Corps have arrived in Tokyo! Behind the disappearing children is a strange man named Yukio Oikawa. At Hikarigaoka, Ken is able to open the Dark Gate and send Demon to the Dark Ocean. Meanwhile, Oikawa copied the Dark Seed that was implanted into Ken a long time ago. He planted the copies into the kidnapped children. The seeds began to thrive. They grew into the Dark Flowers. Oikawa, delighted, gathered all of the children and led the way into the Digital World, of which the gate should have been closed. It turns out that they did not end up in the Digital World at all, but rather, a strange world that was not either the Real World or the Digital World. There, something from within Oikawa shows itself, and it turns out to be none other than a new form of Vamdemon... BelialVamdemon! He makes it to the Digital World, and up in the sky is the Real World... He begins infusing the Real World with darkness. Chosen Children all over the world begin holding up their Digivices to the sky, and the lights weaken BelialVamdemon. He is defeated. Oikawa dies not long after BelialVamdemon. 25 years later, everyone has grown up, and it seems that everyone else on earth has a Digimon Partner and a Digivice.

Woo. That was long. But, man, the ending SUCKED ASS. I didn't want to know what happened 25 years later or anything like that. Man. It sucked. e.e

02 was a love it or hate it series. I lean a bit towards love it more than hating it. Personally, now, I don't see why people hate it so much, but I think that one major factor was the ending. I disliked it so much. I hated it.

This season didn't fare any better than 01 in terms of Digimon character development. If anything, you forgot all about the Digimon and focused more on the kids.

The ending makes this season my least favorite.

Digimon Tamers
Takato Matsuda loves to play the Digimon card game. One day, he finds his Card Fighter EX changing into something odd and strange. Earlier that day he had drawn his very own Digimon Partner, Guilmon. Out of nowhere, domed fog appears and Takato decides to investigate. He goes and inside is none other than Guilmon. At last, his very own Digimon! It appears that he's not the only one with a Digimon Partner. A boy at school named Jenrya Lee seems to know about Digimon, and it turns out that he's got a Partner, Terriermon. Takato meets a girl with one named Ruki Makino. She's ruthless. Her Partner is Renamon. It seems that she only thinks of Digimon as fighting tools. Ruki goes around into the Digital Fields to beat the Realized Digimon and collect their data. It seems that's all that the Tamers do...

This series is divided into the arcs of Digital Field Arc, Deva Arc, Digital World Arc, and the D-Reaper Arc. In the Digital Field Arc, we don't really get much story development, other than Takato learning the basics of Taming (such as using the nifty nifty Card Slash technique) and defeating the Realized Digimon. The Partner Digimon also all evolve. Yadda yadda yadda. We do learn that an organization named HYPNOS is also out to destroy these Realized Digimon in the Digital Fields. The Devas appear, and HYPNOS's weapon, Yuggoth, is useless against them. They prepare a new weapon, Shaggai. The Devas keep appearing one after another (there are 12, one for each of the Chinese Zodiac) and then the Tamers realize that they've got to go to the Digital World to stop this. Before this, however, Juri Katou becomes a Tamer. Her Partner is Leomon. Takato, Lee, Ruki, Juri, Hirokazu Shiota, and Kenta Kitagawa go to the Digital World, but not before the leader of the HYPNOS Digimon assult, Mitsuo Yamaki, comes to give them his support. Once there, they become separated. Impmon, a Digimon we met in the Real World, evolves to his Ultimate level form, Beelzebumon, with help from the Deva Chatsuramon. The kids meet another Tamer in the Digital World named Ryou Akiyama. His Partner is Cyberdramon, a Perfect level Digimon. Hirokazu gets a Partner, Guardromon. Lee's sister, Shiuchon, finds herself in the Digital World and begins chatting it up with a Deva, Antiramon. Antiramon devolves into Lopmon, and then Shiuchon gets a Digivice. The kids come to a showdown with Beelzebumon, and he kills Leomon. Takato Matrix Evolves with Guilmon to form Dukemon. Dukemon defeats Beelzebumon. Then, they must face the one responsible for sending the Devas to the Real World. He is one of the Shiseijyuu. He's Zhuqiaomon. The purpose of sending the Devas to the Real World was to retrieve Culumon, who turned out to be the DigiEntelechy. Without the Shining Evolution, which the DigiEntelechy possesses, Digimon cannot evolve. Qinglongmon reveals that he gave the DigiEntelechy a Digimon form to protect it from the D-Reaper. The kids immediately head back to the Real World, and on the way Kenta becomes Partner to a MarineAngemon. Once back in the Real World, the kids think that they beat D-Reaper and left it behind in the Digital World, but it seems that it followed them back into the Real World. Juri, still depressed over the death of Leomon, becomes trapped in the Kernel Sphere of the D-Reaper. A plan is made to go inside the D-Reaper and save Juri. Once inside, Grani fused with Dukemon and formed Dukemon Crimson Mode. They beat D-Reaper, and all is okay. But then, it turns out that the Digimon have to go back to the Digital World, since the Wild Bunch placed a firewall of sorts between the Real and Digital Worlds. The kids tearfully say goodbye. Some time later, all is normal again, and, just for old times sake, Takato decides to visit Guilmon's Hideout. There, he sees a portal to the Digital World...

This series, in the beginning, totally redeemed the bad human and Digimon imbalance. There were only three, and, knowing that there would inevitably be a fourth Tamer, I was hoping that the series would just stay at four Tamers. Oops. They went on to add 6 more. So much for keeping the number low!

This series has got to be one of my favorites of all time. It gets rather dark around the part where Leomon dies, and from then on it gets progressively darker. It's the darkness I liked, since it was so different from 01 and 02. The ending was just that... The ending. I loved it. So open ended yet closed at the same time.

I must say that at first I was rather reluctant to the thought of getting rid of the characters I'd come to know and love over the past two years, but it was a smart move to create an entirely new universe.

Digimon Frontier
Takuya Kanbara receives a mysterious e-mail asking him to play a game. He accepts, and rushes over to the Shibuya Train Station. There, he takes the elevator dooooooooown and board a train. He finds three other kids on the same train as him. Izumi Orimoto, Junpei Shibayama, and Tomoki Himi. Once the train crosses over to the Digital World, their cell phones change into Digivices. It speaks, and welcomes them to the Digital World. The train, which is Trailmon Worm, gets them off him, and he tells them that they must find the Legendary Spirits in order to return to the Real World. Takuya, thanks to Cerberumon, just happens to find the Spirit of Fire-H not long after. He Scans Cerberumon's data with his Digivice, and the DigiCode that was stolen from the town is restored.

This series, the final one, at least, for now, is divided into the Spirits Arc, Duskmon Arc, Sefirotmon Arc, Cherubimon Arc, and the Lucemon Arc. The Spirits Arc is rather simplistic, as the kids just go around the Digital World with the aid of Bokomon and Neemon and get their Spirits. Kouji Minamoto, the kid that Takuya rode the elevator with, is rather reluctant at first to join them, but eventually does. It turns out that the other 5 Spirits were taken by Cherubimon, and now there are 5 other Legendary Warriors out there somewhere. Grottomon, Ranamon, Arbormon, and Mercuremon finally catch up to the kids at the Forest Terminal. There, the kids awaken Seraphimon, one of the Three High Angels of the Digital World, but the 4 other Legendary Warriors crash in and Mercuremon takes Seraphimon's DigiCode. Izumi grabs the DigiTama, and the kids make their escape via Trailmon. Eventually they meet up with the other Legendary Warrior, Duskmon. Duskmon beats the crap out of everyone, and Takuya goes back to the Real World, but when he gets there he's a Digimon named Flamon. He decides to return to the Digital World and help the others with Duskmon. Eventually, it is revealed that Duskmon is really Kouji's brother, Kouichi Kimura. He goes with the others (with his new Spirits of Darkness L and K) and heads to Cherubimon's Castle. There, they finally beat Cherubimon. But then, it seems that Lucemon, who is imprisoned in the Dark Area, sends two of his Royal Knights, Dynasmon and RhodoKnightmon, to collect the DigiCode of the Digital World. They do so, and the kids run about everywhere trying to stop them, but, alas, they collect the DigiCode of the final area of the Digital World, Ophanimon's Castle, and Lucemon frees himself from the Dark Area. He sends the kids to one of the moons, and once there the Royal Knights chase after them. They are defeated, and Lucemon comes and takes their DigiCode. He mode changes into Lucemon Falldown Mode. He is no match for the kids. They take refuge on another moon as the one they are one is destroyed, but it's no use. All of the moons are destroyed and they must dive into the Dark Area to combat Lucemon Falldown Mode. He defeats Kouichi, but all along it was not Kouichi, but rather was an "astral projection" of him. With this Takuya and Kouichi merge with the power of all the Spirits and become Susanoomon. They defeat Lucemon Falldown Mode, but then all of a sudden Lucemon Satan Mode appears! He heads towards the gate of the Real World, and emerges in the train station. At least, the one where the Trailmon were. He heads up the elevator shaft to the Real World, but the kids merge together to form Susanoomon and defeat Lucemon once and for all. And with that, the Digital World is restored. At last, the kids can go home. But then, the kids must head to the hospital, because the real Kouichi is in a coma-like state. The Digivices help revive Kouichi, and we have a happy ending.

This series was VERY sentai-based. For those of you who are a little Japanese impaired, sentai is Power Rangers. Period. So, I'm not kidding when I say that Frontier is like Power Rangers. Except there's no monster of the day.

The character development was the best EVER. Period. It helped that there were no Digimon Partners to worry about and develop, so these characters had the most depth to them.

As for the ending, well, it was by far the most ending of the endings. I had heard that they had animated another sequence which was to be a "To be continued" kind of ending, but they cut it out due to time constraints. Thank you Toei. I like this ending a lot.

This series could have been better, though. It became rushed near the end. There were supposed to be 4 more episodes, and with that extra 2 hours we would've seen a fight between HolyAngemon and Lucemon as well as the introduction of more familiar Royal Knights.
