Mexico was AWESOME. Monica and I even extended our stay by two days! How decadent of us. For those of you on Facebook my pics are up. For those of you who are not on Facebook then go get one already! :P

It was a decent birthday I must say - nothing like celebrating a Cinco De Mayo birthday in Mexico. Makes you feel all special and stuff :D

Nothing major to report. I am just excited because I leave for Mexico in one week! Heading down with Monica for our fourth anniversary of our Cuba trip! ;)
Both our birthdays will be celebrated there and it's going to be an amazing time!

I am here almost every day reading your entries but I never feel a great desire to post. I feel obligedto say something here at least once every couple of months - not sure if you all care or anything! :P

News with Jooolz!

Travel adventures ahead!! I am going to Mexico in the Mayan Riviera with Monica for our birthday trip! April 28 - May 6th! When I was in Barcelona in July I won a 4 night stay at the uber luxurious Royal Hideaway Playacar and I am using my free nights for 4 nights at the Club Med Cancun. We only had to pay for flights which was $400 each taxes in! woo!!!

I have also booked my Egypt tour - I am going there Nov 19 - Dec 2nd!! YAY!!!! It's with On The Go tours and the 13 day tour on a agent discount came to $286 including tax! I looooooove being a travel agent sometimes! ;) I obviously don't do my job for my health that's for sure.
I am also going to add on a hot air balloon ride in Luxor and a side trip to Abu Simbel! :)

I celebrated my 7th year with Flight Centre. I still haven't decided if being here for that long is a cool thing or a lame thing. You be the judge. :P

Still not dating anyone. Maybe I'll get another 2 or 3 cats.

Weight loss has been slow moving but I have maintained what I have lost which is 55 lbs so far! Still have a looooooong road ahead but that's ok- I have patience this time and not looking for a miracle quick fix!

The cats are doing well but insist on destroying everything I own from dish towels to couches. They are the biggest brats in the world but I adore them so much!

My mother has been having a rough go lately. She is still adjusting to the breakup but it's not over the fact that it is Marc that she will miss, it's the fact that she feels alone and all this change is happening to her all at once and she doesn't like it. She is selling the house in Brockville and she has been applying for jobs in Toronto and Ottawa.She also wants to sell the restaurant (shhhhh!) sooner than later, and she's giving Mark the dog which makes me more upset than anything! She is really depressed lately and I have no idea how to help her.

I think that's it for now - nothing overly exciting! I work, I go home, I work, I go home, I sometimes go to the gym (heh), I work, I go home, you get the picture.

And I only had 1 bottle of wine instead of two or three so I didn't start my new decade off with a raging hangover. :p

I went to Niagara Falls over the weekend for a work conference and on Saturday night we had a wig party at Planet Hollywood.
I got a lot of compliments on the wig and now some say I should go blonde. Your thoughts/opinions?

One week has passed since my surgery. I am feeling a lot better and can be independent again, it's just soreness constantly especially around my belly button area.

I am out of drugs too ( I was prescribe Oxycodone - holy shit powerful stuff) and Mom has left so now I am just bored and healing. :P

I go back to work on Nov 4th - I should be okay by then!

The surgery itself was successful but took longer because the gall bladder was still infected and inflamed. The cuts are a bit bigger too.

It was chaos after I awoke. I was so violently ill and was released home (no overnights after gall bladder surgery for some reason) where I continued to be violently ill the entire day. The two days after that I was plagued with headaches and massive pain, hence the drugs. I couldn't get out of bed, barely ate because I had zero appetite( I lost 15 lbs in 3 weeks!!!), slept constantly (which is good I know), and was stiff everywhere.
Thank goodness Mom was there to take care of me! She cooked for me , cleaned for me, etc. She was amazing.
Also, many thanks to Sandra for picking me up from the hospital and driving us home. She has now seen me at my worst but still loves me. ;)

My appetite is back but not eating a lot. My stomach shrunk and it hurts when I am full. It also hurts when I get hunger pangs so I am trying to eat a lot of smaller meals throughout the day. Its a blessing in disguise for the current weight loss journey I am on. I can basically eat whatever I want but I have to be careful with fattening/greasy/junk foods because the organ that is able to break it down is now gone. In a nutshell if I eat those foods I will need to be close to a toilet. Nice eh? Not socially awkward at all.

Thanks for the messages, calls, e-mails, etc. I have some pretty awesome friends and family members. I definitely like the attention and will enjoy it while I can because I am never doing any type of surgery ever again!!!

My surgery date is Oct 23rd.

What a rough week. I went back to the emergency room on Saturday and was admitted for three days because the gall bladder became badly infected. I ate nothing but the IV drip and really bad broth - for three days! ugh..

I am supposed to be on a train right now to Ottawa. :(
I am so bummed that I had to cancel the trip - I hope the wedding is awesome! Miss you guys so much!

I had to go to the emergency room on Monday after another one of my awful stomach ache attacks.

Turns out I have gall stones and the ER doctor told me I need to have gall bladder removal surgery with 3 - 4 weeks from now unless I have another attack with a fever at which point I will have to go back to emerg and get surgery then.

The surgeon he referred me to can't even fit me in for a pre-surgery consultation until Nov 3rd!!God knows when the actually surgery will be.
How frustrating! I am off to see my family doctor on Tuesday to see if he can expedite the surgery quicker with someone else.

In the meantime I am on antibiotics and I am very sore. It hurts to lay on my side, walk, sneeze, etc. And it feel likes I swallowed a bag of marbles.

I am not allowed to eat any dairy, protein of any kind (so no tofu or meat), no alcohol or sodas, and no fats (including olive oil) until after the surgery since it could trigger another attack. What a culinary adventure I am about to embark on...*sigh*

I am still going to Ottawa for Leanne's wedding on the 9th (so far) but no drinking and my food intake is going to be monitored very closely. Can't wait to see some of you though!:)

Thanks for the well wishes for everyone who already knew about this! I will be fine. It's just the waiting, the anorexia diet I am on (heh), and the constant soreness.

I won a spot at this years Flight Centre Global Ball. Normally you need to qualify based on high sales for the year but they had an incentive to win 2 spots on the trip based on hitting COS (cost of seat) each month and my name was drawn!
