Ice Prince

Jonghyun was busy studying in library when Kibum, his new friend tapped on his shoulder. Jonghyun looked up and smiled, gesturing kibum to join him. Jonghyun has recently joined this university and honestly Kibum was probably his only friend here. Jonghyun was tagged as nerd after joining the college and even though Kibum was exactly opposite to him, Kibum had taken liking to him because of his kindness.

“Yaah Jjong!!! It’s Friday evening, what the hell are you doing in here??? Come on dude, let’s go somewhere out!!”

Jonghyun chuckled at the annoyed look on Kibum’s face. He was happy doing his studies because he wanted to do good in college. Unknown to everyone else, he had someone in here that he wanted to make proud. He had plans later that evening with that certain someone, so he was going to deny Kibum’s offer but then his mobile beeped indicating a message. He gave a quick smile to Kibum and unlocked his mobile to check the message.

Do you want to hit that new pub with me later babe??

His smile widened, and he replied a quick yes before looking at Kibum and asked, “Should we go to that new pub which has opened recently?? It’s been long since I have danced!!”

Kibum finally looked happy and Jonghyun thought he is going to cry happy tears… He chuckled as Kibum jumped out of chair and dragged Jonghyun to get ready so they can finally enjoy their Friday evening.

They have reached said pub half an hour before and Jonghyun watched amused as another guy came to hit on Kibum. Apparently Kibum was pretty famous because of his looks and his style. Jonghyun had always been handsome but he never had these many people making moves on him.

Kibum on the other hand, noticing Jonghyun’s amusement thought he should introduce his friend to some girls or even guys depending on his preference.

“Hey jjong, found any face you are interested in??”

Jonghyun looked up from his glass and frowned.

“What do you mean, dude? ”

Kibum rolled his eyes, “I mean I don’t know your preference but I think you should find someone who can get you away from your stupid books, and pub is nice place to make new acquaintance.”

Jonghyun chuckled. “Well I’m bi if you are that interested and please no. I’m not at all interested in making any new acquaintance.”

Kibum was going to reply something when he realized Jonghyun looking intensely at someone. He followed his gaze and had to stop himself from spilling his drink. There, in front of them stood Lee Jinki, their senior and one of the popular faces from university. Jinki was arts major and was known for his looks along with his talented hands. Jinki was handsome, kind and brilliant. All in all, Lee Jinki was most sought-after person and was famous for rejecting every single proposal he got. He even had a nickname as Ice Prince because of this. No one was sure if he was straight because he received as much confessions from boys as much as he did from girls and he rejected all of them.

Kibum noticed that Jonghyun was still staring at Jinki, and honestly Kibum can hardly take his gaze away from Jinki. Jinki was looking too good in black skinny jeans, black tank top, white blazer and even Kibum was tempted to make a move on him.

“Isn’t he sexy??” Kibum whispered and effectively broke Jonghyun’s gaze from Jinki.

“Huh?” Kibum shook his head at the confusion on Jonghyun’s face, “That person over there you are drooling on is Lee Jinki. He is too fucking sexy to be true, but no one has managed to tap that ass yet. You are free to try, but I don’t want you to come crying because he broke your little fragile heart. Come on man, let’s go find someone else for you…”

Jonghyun stopped Kibum from dragging him away.

“What if I go and dance with him??”

Kibum looked at Jonghyun as if he is crazy and Jonghyun chuckled. He patted Kibum’s head and drank his remaining drink as he made his way to Jinki.

Kibum prayed for Jonghyun’s well being as he continued to look at the scene. He was sure that his friend was going to be royally rejected and he was ready with another glass of strongest drink to soothe Jonghyun’s pain when unthinkable happened.

He rubbed his eyes and looked again to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him. Lee Jinki smiled at his friend and before Kibum could realize what was happening both of them were making their way on dance floor. Jinki and Jonghyun started dancing which looked like grinding if kibum was to be honest.

Kibum made his way towards the pair and realized how fucking happy they both looked. Before he could ask Jonghyun what the fuck was happening he stopped because Lee fucking Jinki just pulled Jonghyun by his neck and kissed him on his lips on the dance floor, in front of all those fucking people. Kibum decided he was too drunk for this shit and made his way out of pub, not even sparing a glance at the pair making out sloppily on the dance floor. He will ask Jonghyun tomorrow about it because right now he was not in his right mind.

Few hours later in Jonghyun’s room:

Jonghyun giggled as Jinki started peppering his face with little kisses.

“Babyyyy~~~~ Stop it. Let’s sleep now, I have lectures early morning tomorrow!!”

Jinki just hummed but continued kissing Jonghyun to his hearts content.

“You can sleep all you want baby. I finally have my boyfriend with me tonight and I don’t wanna sleep. I’m just gonna kiss you to make up for all the time when we don’t get to see each other. ”

Jonghyun smiled and hugged Jinki tight. Jinki was right. They were in relationship for years now but no one knows about it. They haven't told anyone else in college except few of Jinki's close friends and it was Jonghyun's decision because he didn't want any attention to him in college.

Jinki was popular while Jonghyun was happy to be ordinary person in people's eyes. So even though Jinki wanted to scream to the world that Jonghyun was his boyfriend, Jinki kept quiet. Jonghyun was the reason why Jinki rejected every other confession and earned himself title of cold prince.

Jonghyun cupped Jinki’s face and laid a particularly long kiss on his plump lips.

“You know, you have to tell Kibum about us. He is going to be all hyper about it at first but he will keep it secret for us… I can’t keep on waiting for you to find a reason to avoid Kibum so I can meet you. It will be much easier to spend time together if he knows.”

Jonghyun hummed and nodded.

"Okay Jinki. I will tell him tomorrow. He surely is going to have questions after watching us makeout today and I guess I will tell him the truth."

Jinki looked up from where his face was burried in Jonghyun's neck and smiled.

"You deserve a long, hard make-out session for this decision but since you have lectures tomorrow morning I will settle for just one kiss before we can go to sleep for real!"

Jonghyun giggled at Jinki's stupid statement but kissed his boyfriend sweetly and they cuddled closer before falling asleep.

No one knows the Ice Prince is actually a warm hearted goofball who loves to say cheesy things and finds ridiculous reasons to kiss his boyfriend every single chance he can get... Ice Prince??? Hell no!! Jinki is just cheesy sunshine and only Jonghyun had a privilege to witness that...

A/N:

Jonghyun and Jinki are childhood sweethearts. Jinki moved to Seoul for higher studies a year before Jonghyun for which they were in long distance relationship. Jonghyun wanted to keep relationship as secret because he had always had shy personality and he wanted to avoid any attention. When he finally joined the same university as Jinki he was amused to find Jinki's image as Ice Prince because his boyfriend was anything but cold. But on the other side he knew it was because Jinki was faithful to him and he was happy. I have few more moments from this au which I plan on writing in future.
