Richard is a smart, kind and thoughtful guy with a wide range of interests and experiences — including law, software engineering, history and political science, citizenship, and fiction & literature. At nearly 80 years of age he reflects on his lived experiences with curiosity and bemusement, and sometimes a bit of sadness, but with out narcissistic navel-gazing or histrionics. His essays on a post-USA North America are especially thought-provoking.

Biggs regularly shares short reviews of books he's recently read and liked. His taste in books is wide-ranging and sophisticated; he likes all kinds of stuff and has a knack for explaining what's good about a book in just one or two short paragraphs.
