Where I’ve Been Lately
Angel Squad and Series 65
Over the past few weeks, I’ve taken some exciting steps in expanding my knowledge, network, and future opportunities. One of the biggest developments? I recently joined Hustle Fund’s Angel Squad—a vibrant community of entrepreneurs, operators, founders, and aspiring investors.
So far, the experience has been incredibly rewarding. What’s stood out most to me is:
The Network – It’s rare to find such a supportive, curious, and driven group of people all in one place.
The Education – Angel Squad has pulled back the curtain on a world that used to feel distant and reserved for a small group, particularly in places like the Bay Area. It’s made startup investing feel far more accessible and actionable.
Inspired by this momentum, I’m also fast-tracking my journey toward becoming an accredited investor by preparing for the Series 65 exam. I’m currently studying with Kaplan’s Series 65 textbook and plan to take the exam soon.
Passing the test is just one piece of the puzzle. To complete the path through this method, I’ll also need to:
Establish my own RIA (Registered Investment Advisor) firm
Register it with the SEC
Formally add myself as an investment advisor to the firm
It’s a process—but a rewarding one. For someone who comes from product and design, it’s exciting to explore how capital and creativity intersect, and how I can bring more value to both sides of the table.
More updates to come as I progress. If you’re also going down a similar path, I’d love to connect and compare notes.

excited to hear more about your new journey and learning!
