Artist Statement
“ As a child, I would walk at night and peak between the branches for a glimpse of moon-light. When Autumn arrived, I would breathe and smell wood-smoke as I imagined what lay within the mist. Images came and went in my early dreams, and I would commune beyond the glass doors. There was a cocktail of old carpet, wooden banisters and amber-light that would stay with me throughout my life; and to this day, the hogweed reminds of the innocence of natural comfort.
The painting that can be explained is not the true painting; and so I offer a feeling, a notion, a spark for your own fire.
Organic Abstract Surrealism is as close as I get now.
