As all of you know, I don't post here. Prior to now, the only thing I've done is read and comment on other friends posts. Since I'm uncomfortable with the idea of expressing my feelings, I've decided to start my posting interesting and provoking URLs and some comments on what I think about them. I'm starting with:

http://carlisle-www.army.mil/usawc/parameters/98spring/peters.htm

This is an interesting paper by Ralph Peters. I used this paper as a basis for a research paper I wrote in my Religion, Philosophy, and Ethics class about a year ago. The assignment was for everyone in class to write a paper with a religious topic. Most of the students simply picked a religion and described it. But I, being who I am, instead wrote a paper titled "Cultural Booby Traps in the Islamic Religion". I think that this was a fairly daring paper since the professor during earlier classes admitted to admiring the Islamic religion. How many ways can you see the Islamic religion supporting the seven signs pointed out in Mr. Peters paper?
