I joined toastmasters 5 years ago.The club I joined means I became a member of D73. I believe that stands for the district 73. Every year the district has a semi-annual conference and an annual conference organised by volunteers

I have paid for and attended both and I enjoyed them and learn a lot and met lots of really interesting people.

A couple of years ago I went to an annual conference for Toastmasters D73 In Carlton, Melbourne. It was at a Rydges hotel.

I’m in an electric wheelchair.

I arrived at the convention in a wheelchair taxi The hotel had told me that they did have an entrance for disabled people …. I was surprised to find the entrance for wheelchairs was inside a car park underground which was locked. The taxi driver managed to get the staff to unlock the door to the carpark. However the taxi could not enter into the carpark because of a low entrance. So I entered the car park in my electric wheelchair while there were cars exiting that nearly ran over me. Then I found the lift and a staff member help me use the lift to take me to the foyer and the floor that the convention was on. I was again surprised to see that there were no disabled toilets available on that floor. The Hotel staff said they did have a disabled toilet on another floor. in fact on the swimming pool floor. It was very difficult to use with a an old fashioned design and door. Recently I was surprised again to see that that same hotel had been chosen for the 2017 D73 toastmasters annual conference.

I have communicated to the organizers my dissatisfaction that I have been… What’s the word I am looking for …discriminated against.Do you have any thoughts?

This is the second samsung wireless phone charger that I have owned.
I have stopped using the samsung wireless charger. My home is too dusty. It appears to work properly only in a pristine environment.
The first charger I bought was black and did not fast charge.
They both had the same problem. They would start to flash blue during a charging session and the charging would stop.
Very annoying for 2 reasons.
Firstly I do not need to be woken up by a blue flashing light in the middle of the night. That is the job of the police not Samsung.
Secondly waking up to a phone that is not completely charged throws into doubt the decision to buy a wireless charger. Let alone the decision to upgrade to a fast charger wireless style.
Of course the chargers are not completely wireless. They need to be plugged into power.
But you dont have to fiddle with plugging a cord into the phone. Just place it on the charger.
The mystery of why it stops charging has been solved.
It is dust.
If the charger is not completely clean, it will overheat and send the blue flashing warning signal then turn off.
A wipe with a cloth occasionally is enough to remove any dust.

And still the phone stopped charging and the wireless charger flashed blue.

Then I tried the suggestion to turn DAYDREAM on.

Settings…..display….daydream on.

Ahhh. Finally the wireless charger charges the phone.

Why don’t Samsung tell you to turn on Daydream in their FAQ

Obviously because it is a software bug that they will eventually fix and would rather not disclose they have bugs.

Is this true? The default setting for gmail on a mobile device is to NOT send any attachments with any email that is fowarded?
So say I book and pay for a ticket to something and I receive the tickets in an email attachment. Lets say a pdf document with a bar code.
Now if I read that email on a mobile device in my gmail and then forward the email to a friend with the intention of giving them the ticket in the attachment, then The friend will receive the forwarded email without any attachment.
If this is true, there must be many people missing flights or events because of a default setting in email.
And it is not exactly easy to change that setting.
You need to go to a computer to change that setting that prevents attachments automatically being sent with a fowarded email
Have I got the facts correct?
