Sad News
Before I get to the sad news I have to report in this week’s bulletin, I just wanted to let you know that the new ship’s store is nearly finished.
I’m still working on it, particularly the paperback section, which is very much incomplete, but I would love your general feedback on the appearance, ease of use, bugs, and so on. Click on the image to check it out.

SHIP’S LOG
Just before writing this bulletin, I heard from our local vet. I’d been concerned about the ship’s cat losing weight (definitely unusual!), and increasing his water intake. The vet had taken blood and urine samples, and she phoned me with the results a little while ago.
It turns out he has quite severe kidney disease, and while medication can slow its progression somewhat, from now on he will be on a gentle decline.
We don’t know how long he’s got, and we don’t actually know exactly how old he is. We’ve had him 13 years and he was fully grown when we got him from the rescue centre.
So he isn’t young, and, naturally, we expected to lose him one day. But that doesn’t make it easier, as I’m sure you understand, particularly if you’ve ever owned a pet.
That’s all. I’m going to go and cuddle my boy.

I was perusing the website for ease of use and look. I was pleasently suprised to find free books. Son site was easy to use, straightforward. All the green buttons threw me until I saw how worked. Then it made sense. Also have to say some of book covers are very well done. Overall nice pages. Sorry to hear about your friends health. Enjoy the company.
JJ I am so sorry to hear that your precious cat has severe kidney disease. It takes me back to my dear blue point siamese that passed away from cancer. So I know the heart ache. The only good thing about this disease is that there is no pain and eventually he will go to sleep and not wake up (I know this as my mother died from kidney disease). Take care and god bless.
