Nisqually Gweducs (Geoducks)

The Pacific Northwest Geoduck (pronounced gooey-duck) is an evolutionary marvel of inland waters of Canada, and Washington state. Native only to this region, the geoduck grows up to 14 pounds and lives up to 150 years. The Nisqually Indians called them gweduc, which means “dig deep”, and contains reference to crude genitalia (the Nisqually Indians have a sense of humor) Typically found in tide flats, the shell and body rests about 3-4 feet below the surface, with a long neck having two siphons poking out just above the mud or sand. The siphons collect food, disburse waist, and release sperm or eggs a couple times a year. These giant clams have more recently become a world delicacy to the wealthy, where in Hong Kong they fetch about $65. Heavily regulated harvests don’t stop poaching, as the lure from the world market has now created a demand, and then a strain on the geoduck population and habitat. Hell, what good is something if you can’t overharvest it for a quick buck? But I digress.

While most of you have never heard of the geoduck, they actually exist. I have dug them, and somewhere in my family photo album, over the years I have various pictures of me holding the duc, as my father would plan most of our vacations around the tides. Here’s a good overview of the geoduck if your interested.

Religious beliefs are the antithesis of the geoduck. While we have all heard of it our entire lives, it has failed to produce any evidential reality. It’s imaginations have been forced on captured the minds of the unwilling child, the gullible teen, and the old. The geoduck however, doesn’t need to preach to prove it’s existence. Only god needs that.

Sell it by Zealot—The Analysis

Perusing last night I came across this comment. It is amazingly simple to the observer, then why so complex to the user? This one is overripe with easy explanations.

Yes, I believe in God with all of my heart! When I was 13, my Dad got a new job in Illinois. We moved from Colorado and the house we moved in to was possessed by a demon! We lived with that evil all through my high school years. It was terrifying and yes, heaven and hell are very real. We were delivered from that demon when I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior! I rebuked it out of our home and our lives in the Name of Jesus and we never had any more problems after that!

I accepted Christ in 1996. In 1998, I had two angel encounters in the city of Denver, Colorado (USA), and in 2012 I stopped breathing due to anaphylactic shock, but God saved me by the power of the Holy Spirit and put me back in my body! I wrote a book about all of this, which is published on Amazon, called “One Man’s Very Strange Supernatural Life.” I email free copies of my eBook to anyone who wants one!

I just wrote about the day I stopped breathing and came back to life in a post titled “My Lazarus Moment.”

I used to hate Christians and I did not want anything to do with God. I used to party and drink heavily, but the Lord Jesus rescued me from all of that!

Grace and peace to you! May God bless you and reveal Himself to you in new and mighty ways!

“That if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”

Brief Analysis?

  • Trauma of a move at 13 and moving into a strange house and willing to try anything to fit in
  • Do Demons live in Illinois ?
  • Neurological compromise, astral projection, asphyxiation,
  • Mixing youth and adulthood experiences, near death, drinking, god to the rescue (appears more than once) and I have received none? I thought god was everywhere… This person is unstable
  • There are no angels in Colorado
  • Existential death anxiety
  • Others?

Prosperity Gospel

Historical approval of prosperity gospel is a green light to defraud the poor

The founders and the missionaries of the old world set a precedent by flaunting their prosperity. “Paganism was a faith that was largely geared to gaining material prosperity. There were gods for the crops because they wanted their crops to grow. They had gods for cattle so that they would produce more milk. When these pagans looked at the wealth and power of Christian Europe, they were impressed: the Christian God was obviously one who could deliver the goods. Christians built bigger buildings, made more beautiful jewelry, possessed better ships, and so on. Many pagans were not adverse to converting to Christianity because they believed it would, in fact, give them more material prosperity than had their gods”. (1)

To appreciate this point, note how Christian missionaries fared in sixteenth-century China. Here was a non-Christian culture that was in many ways superior to the West. In that context, Christianity makes practically no headway.

In Europe, we see evidence that this wasn’t a by-product but a deliberate tactic of missionaries. When the bishop of Winchester sent his pupil Boniface to evangelize Germany, he stressed that Boniface should remind the pagans just how rich and powerful the Christians were.

Prosperity gospel is the cartucho that sets the poor on a course to prosperity in jesus. Now, popular in the poverty culture of Christianity is to give their mite to the wealthy ministers in hope for wealth through faith—

Professional audio, sound, and lighting guaranteed to bolster the spiritual experience with calculated speech patterns to ultimately deceive its audience my manufacturing emotions—with of course phone apps to request prayers and donate money. Copeland’s net worth is now $760 Million on the backs of the poor. So much for living like Jesus?

I couldn’t donate to anything with this face attached to it.

Vatican Hands Over the Keys

Mormon officials were stunned after Pope Francis surprise visit to Salt Lake City, Utah on Tuesday. Amidst poorly handled child sexual abuse scandals worldwide, the Pope has called it quits, handed over Vatican keys to Russel M. Nelson, prophet, seer, and revelator of the Utah group. Nelson was speechless, but after a short intercessory prayer spoke of the fulfillment of Mormon prophecy. “The keys of the kingdom of God are committed unto man on the earth, and from thence shall the gospel roll forth unto the ends of the earth, as the stone which is cut out of the mountain without hands shall roll forth, until it has filled the whole earth” (Doctrine and Covenants 65:2)

The church never imagined the prophecy would be fulfilled in such a literal sense. 58,000 Missionaries around the world have received notice to return home immediately, ending the church-old Mormon tradition. Russel M. Nelson, after quoting Joseph Smith was briefly interrupted by Francis. Off-mic comments by Francis recorded by cell phone congratulated the prophet on the LDS church mastery of grooming minors, encouraged him to continue the rite in a less hap-hazard manner, was followed by a subtle wink at the pope. Arrangement have been made and bishops, priests, and cardinals from around the world will be heading to salt lake to receive the Mormon priesthood. LDS sign shop will be mass producing stickers to relabel churches with a New Name, “The Catchurjesuschrist of Latter Day Saints” will be the stone that fills the whole earth.

Nelson, now famous for excommunicating Sam Young (for exposing Mormon abuses of children by presenting nearly 1000 letters from former victims) has a good handle on continuing the ‘inner-traditions” in the hierarchy of religious practice, sending a clear message to incoming clergy that the playground will stay open in a kinder, more subtle secrecy. “The suit is the new robe of the holy priesthood”, says Nelson, providing the needed autonomy to mix business religion with pleasure at the expense of our youth. “Hold on to your butts” the oft quoted line from Jurassic Park has taken on a new meaning in Mormon mantra.

Where I Fit In—The Big Picture

Humanity is set to consume the very thing that gives them life. The system of religious, colonial capitalism is an all-consumer race to end all races.

“We succeeded in taking that picture, and, if you look at it, you see a dot. That’s here. That’s home. That’s us. On it, everyone you ever heard of, every human being who ever lived, lived out their lives. The aggregate of all our joys and sufferings, thousands of confident religions, ideologies and economic doctrines, every hunter and forager, every hero and coward, every creator and destroyer of civilizations, every king and peasant, every young couple in love, every hopeful child, every mother and father, every inventor and explorer, every teacher of morals, every corrupt politician, every superstar, every supreme leader, every saint and sinner in the history of our species, lived there – on a mote of dust, suspended in a sunbeam.” —Carl Sagan

6 Billion miles away, Voyager 1, 1989

Currently voyager is traveling 38,000 miles per hour. Radio signals take 17hours one way, (17 light hours) and is approximately 13.2 Billion miles from the sun. System shutdowns gradually take place until 2025 then silence. It will remain on its trajectory and speed forever, until moved upon by another force. In the current trajectory will reach the nearest star in its path towards the Big Dipper in 40,000 years. Will anyone be here to know it? It’s time to take back our planet from religions and the businesses of destructive abuse, carelessness and overuse.

Abortion or Miscarriage—Is there a Difference?

If a woman has a miscarriage, it is widely considered a normal/natural rejection due to implication from the mother or fetus. In some circles “gods timing” or his wisdom is an unreasonable reason for the inefficiency of human fertility. Of the nine most common causes of miscarriage, eight are a direct result of uterine imbalance or other health issues of the mother or father. One, genetic or chromosomal abnormalities is due to the fetus itself.

When a woman chooses to have an abortion, her mind, inseparable from her body is rejecting a fetus in the interest of mental and physical health. Abortion rates for health reasons could easily hit 25% of all pregnancy to fall in line with other spontaneous abortion. How can you separate the psychological needs from the physical?

If one doesn’t want the fetus, it is only an extension of her physical rejection and cannot be differentiated. Here are the most common reactions to pregnancy;

•Feeling scared and anxious

•Shock

•A sense of “why wasn’t I more careful”, “How did that happen”, “I thought I’d be ok”.

•Feelings of being alone and isolated.

•Feelings of confusion and guilt.

•A sense of panic, lack of control and feelings of crisis.

•Disappointment and sadness.

•Surprise, happiness, shock and delight. An unplanned pregnancy can also be joyful.

•Inadequacy

•Relief

Mental health affects physical well being and physical well being affects the mental. Who should be the judge of what one can tolerate in the name of social acceptance?

When considering the confluence of mind and body and what is best and wholly natural for the individual woman concerning abortion, terminating pregnancy by choice is as natural as miscarriage, with personal reactions to miscarriage, abortion, and pregnancy being nearly identical.

Why By Force? The Heralded Fathers

When did Christians first begin to use force to convert people?

After much searching it seems there is one Christian organization admitting some truth, although in the end prides itself for Christian unity bought at the tip of a sword.

The from The Christian History Institute. “Soon after the conversion of the Roman emperor Constantine, though the first use of force was not designed to convert pagans but to correct dissident Christians. Augustine, the great bishop of Hippo in North Africa in the late fourth and early fifth century, was faced with a dissident sect, the Donatists. Augustine wanted to bring them back in the orthodox fold, and he agonized about whether it was permissible to use coercion to do so.

Eventually he decided it was, and one biblical text that persuaded him was the parable of the great banquet (Luke 14:16–24). A rich man gives a feast, and when no one he invites shows up, he tells his servants to go out and “Compel (force) people to come in.” From then on the misery inflicted on humanity accelerated, all at the beckon of one of its now most heralded and oft quoted fathers.

As Christianity grows, it also grows intolerant. And by the 9th century virtually no believers object to forced coercion any more. This coincides with Christianity becoming the most populous religion of all the known world but China. By the 11th century it was a matter of fact. Christians had become the great Satan.

“There’s no sense in pretending this was an exceptional missionary tactic; for many centuries, it was the method of choice among Christian rulers and missionaries. The conversion of much of Europe and of Latin America is unimaginable without the sword”.(1)(Christian History Institute)

If only the likes of Loy, Mel, Brainyawn, and others would be a tenth as sensible. Christianity unfettered leads to force and division. Not just an occasional beating, but widespread murder wherever it took root. As surely as watering a seed to make it grow, Christian faith leads to barbarism—even in the great bishops.

Frustration builds as no one really believes the rhetoric and failed excuse of a religion. It’s pathetic results speaks for itself, so apologetics must present a monotony of sophist confusion to keep the sheep engaged. And if that’s not enough, maximum force.

God Divided the Nations and Language

In the biblical account of the Tower of Babel, the people were building a tower to get to heaven so god divided the language and scattered the people. An interesting note in scripture “And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.” Genesis‬ ‭11:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬—italics added

Although I do not believe in god, this is a sound principle that plagues humanity. United they were actually a threat to god (those in power?). Mere men working together could not be contained from “accomplishing anything they set out to do”.

Learning a second language, traveling a bit of the world, seeing that people are people and division comes through the churches and politics core beliefs is a starting point and a reason to fight—to unite, for together everything is possible. Divided we’re going to get the same results we’ve always gotten. Thank you Swarn and Consoled Reader for the reasonable approach to finding common ground.

When I was young, I asked my mom, who was (and is) a devout Christian whether or not all the people in other countries who didn’t practice Christianity would go to hell. She said yes if they had heard the story of Jesus and not chosen to believe in it. It was such an odd answer to me, because I was thinking so, it’s better to not hear the story. When I reflected later in life on this answer, it frustrated me even more than the expectation of Christians is that there story is somehow far more believable and compelling than any other.
When I was in my early 20s I asked my cousin, who is of Indian origin and a Sikh (although by no means really religious) whether he believed in God and whether or not he was concerned about one story being right over any other. He said no. He saw all religions as different paths to the same end, which was God. At that time I was still toying around with the idea of their being God, but oddly this statement made me less convinced about it all. It made me think that even if there was a God, all the details of each story were likely not literally true. More importantly the rules and expected behavior for each religion were also much more meaningless. You could distill each religion down to essential parts. It didn’t matter what rituals you practiced, just that rituals might be important to our lives. It didn’t matter exactly what you had faith in, but that faith was important. It didn’t matter which God you were humble before, but that it was important to have humility. I still believe that religion has distilled important values, but the fact that people keep pushing the narrative after all this time is what gets me.
My point in all this is that we can gain a lot through the reading of stories, even as we acknowledge they are only just that. I’ve known people equally inspired by Lord of the Rings as they have been by the Bible. The difference being is that those people who read Lord of the Rings read the whole book. It’s hard for me to fathom that through truly learning the stories that each religion tells you wouldn’t arrive at the obvious conclusion that they are all stories, and that even if there is a God, nobody’s story is more valid than the next.

To jump off your comments, I also think it’s worth pointing out that the ideas aren’t always in competition. It depends on the particular religion or religious tradition. I once told Branyan (I think over at Ark’s place) that despite being a theist (a deist?) I don’t see my ideas or values or worldview as being significantly different from my wife who is an atheist. We want the same things out of life. We value many of the same things. We also enjoy many of the same things.
Similarly, I’ve read many comments from atheists claiming they don’t respect the views or beliefs of religion or the Abrahamic religions, but I’m fairly confident if I provided a list of my beliefs/views/values (which I consider to be my cultural/religious values) almosy every single atheist would say they agree with most, if not all, of those values or beliefs.
I think it’s always important for people to keep in mind whether they’re really talking about different things or valuing the same thing in different ways.

The Delusion

Validation in a closed system equals underachievement. Consensus should also reach outside the group.

Understanding the limits of what you know is a key characteristic of continued growth and openness.

Several years ago we had a business partner from Ohio that learned how to ski. He was trash talking us in our conference calls about how he was shredding the slopes, and wanted to schedule our next winter meeting at a ski area to show us a thing or two about skiing. We booked a stay at Snowbird, Utah.

I had actually seen his ski area in Ohio. It was more or less a hill that would equate slightly less than intermediate skiing here in the west. But he was as confident in his ability as I was skeptical. I had 35 years experiencing some of the toughest double black diamonds in the world. Skiing since I was five—I wasn’t worried.

We got off the tram and headed over to Great Scott. From the Cirque Traverse he looked down, looked at us and said, “You win”—Never judge how good you are until you see the competition…

Religion has a well known trick to circumvent this obviousicity. Train them young, teach them they have the entire truth, then warn them about non-believers that are evil and don’t even listen to them. They’re all wrong, and trash talk becomes a one-liner way of life—I just believe.

Then, by and by the competing ideas emerge only to be shunned without an ounce of consideration. The competition has some great ideas, talent, ability, and reason. If they take a look with an open mind and end-around the supernatural excuse, will one have the integrity to say—you win?

The Jesus Challenge

The pastor is repeatedly distancing Christianity from the teaching of jesus. His most recent open question is” what teachings of jesus has led to atrocities? While it is obvious that the system of Christianity has led to a love affair with torture and genocide, what specifically did Jesus say to incite such a continuation of wreckage throughout Christian history. I repeatedly tried to make it clear, that intensional or not, unrestrained Christian religion has led to force and violence. Whether this is by design or not is not the point. The point is that it has happened repeatedly through families, villages, towns and countries where the religious have had unfettered control over their peoples. If they knew this would happen, shame on them, if they didn’t, some all-knowing deity. Either way, they knew or they didn’t.

My first answer was to quote “go ye into the world and preach my gospel” and when refused “dust off your feet as a testimony against them” and leave that town. Mel downplayed and ignored the gesture, but Bible commentaries, written by bible scholars are nearly unanimous in the significance if this gesture. “The very dust of a heathen country was unclean, and it defiled by contact. It was regarded like a grave, or like the putrescence of death. If a spot of heathen dust had touched an offering, it must at once be burnt. More than that, if by mischance any heathen dust had been brought into Palestine, it did not and could not mingle with that of ‘the land,’ but remained to the end what it had been – unclean, defiled and defiling everything to which it adhered.” The apostles, therefore, were not only to leave the house or city which should refuse to receive them, “but it was to be considered and treated as if it were heathen, just as in the similar case mentioned in Matthew 18:17. All contact with such must be avoided, all trace of it shaken off”. (Edersheim, “Jewish Social Life in the Days of Christ”). The symbolic act indicated that the apostles and their Lord regarded them not only as unclean, but as entirely responsible for their uncleanness. If he was god, he should have known this was a horrible custom and condemned it as such.

Immediately the gospel of Jesus was set to divide. Missionaries spread through the near east and infiltrated towns to preach. If rejected, a basic “screw you all to hell” was established as an immediate divide among the people, setting one above another in piety, worth, correctness, and virtue. That is from the starting gate a teaching of Jesus Christ that spawned racism and hate. Regardless of the intent, there is the underlying reality independent of what is now believed about it.

The custom on display is a contradiction to love thy neighbor as thyself, and what it really means is love thy neighbor as thyself “if” he agrees to believe in the same god.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, the final book of the New Testament as recorded by John on the Isle of Patmos, has other interesting teaching designed to fail humanity.

Men, acting as agents of red written scripture, assist jesus in fulfilling his prophetic utterance. Here are just two things that when written, must have shortly come to pass, and religious men like to help their god along as quickly as possible.

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to shew unto his servants things which must shortly come to pass; and he sent and signified it by his angel unto his servant John:

“I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, and have the keys of hell and of death.” Revelation‬ ‭1:18‬ (no doubt)

And I will kill her children with death; and all the churches shall know that I am he which searcheth the reins and hearts: and I will give unto every one of you according to your works.” Revelation‬ ‭2:23‬ ‭

(Italics are mine) Here we go, early into the revelation of Jesus Christ, sanctioned by true believers to sit back and wonder—”how could the teachings of Jesus possibly cause any harm? In the spirit of brevity, I am not going to copy and paste dozens of scripture from the more friendly, new and improved gospel according to Christ, but one more will suffice.

“Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.” Revelation‬ ‭22:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Finally, too much emphasis on sex. They’ve taken a natural instinct and turned it vile, while the emphasis on condemning “harlots” and controlling intercourse is a noble endeavor, men, in direct obedience became enforcers controlling natural behavior with stones and fire. God is love.

Humility Challenges Freewill for Top Spot

TCA Newsflash Sept, 2018

Displays of public humility have recently squeezed into top competition for religious hypocrisy. Narrowly edging out last years winner “freewill” where christians have demanded religious autonomy by aligning with a god figure that monitors their every move and thought.

“Having freewill was not our choice, but at least humility can be maintained by heirs of deceptive, psaltry-face and open submission, while privately going about business as usual”, said spokesman Wel Mild.

“Voluntary humility is a gesture in honest hypocrisy, while freewill is a guaranteed phenomenon that only drives wheels of conjecture”. God (the writers) commands humility in scripture, and the promise to avenge the enemy in the next life is by design—a quell on the masses rights to be fairly treated now. “I know we’re treating you unfairly now, but hang in there. It’s for the best and god will be your rearward” (he’s got your back—when he feels like it) Meanwhile, those that write, then interpret the rule book reap the rewards of your labor in the now, while producing nothing of value for the benefit of society. It’s all quite clever really—but not very cute.

In third place, pride was nominated but indecipherable from humility in outcome based research and scratched from the competition. A tie for first place would have put “too much head nodding” into the realities conundrum, placing Christians in an awkward stance of non-contradiction. “It would be too much for our readers” said Mr Mild, “having to expose themselves openly to public obviousicity”. No amount of humility can make the Father proud, and maintaining a state of worthlessness while taking pride in a humilitous effort is a pill we prefer to overlook”, according to the committee.

Forth-place runner-up is pedophilia. Officials refused to comment after some paper shuffling seems to have lost the data. Misplaced millstones paperweights were to blame, as well as select pages torn from the committee bibles. Surveillance video revealed nothing, but lack of evidence is forthcoming and status quo of faith.

Christianity—having what it takes to take what you have and make the world a better place—only much later.

Psychosomatic Head Lice, Illusory Truth Effect…ahh, Religion

Did you feel that? I remember many years ago watching the missionaries in my home, teaching “without purse or script” ((winging it) by the spirit of god that was in them. After a prayer to invite god into the room, one missionary was quoting select scriptures and telling stories to invoke emotions. After what may or may not have been a lie, one of the missionaries interrupted “oh, did you feel that? The spirit is strong in here today”. The other missionary said, ” yeah, I feel it too”. This went on for a little while and the the investigator was asked to pray with them. She declined offering the prayer (first instinct) so the missionaries prayed. They laid it all out there in the prayer, asking for god to show his love and touch this room with his spirit, and to let the investigator know the truth of their words. Their emotions were strong, all in it, and after the prayer they convincingly, kindly, asked if she could feel it too? “Yes”, she could feel it. ” The lord has brought us to you today to share his message. Can we come back and visit with you again?” The gal was baptized two weeks later. She eventually swam out of it a couple months later after some internet research and a little help from her friends, and being away from those who “feel it too”. Turns out she didn’t feel it when the missionaries were away. “The sting” was on their shoulders like rid-away to psychosomatic head lice, illusory truth effect needed more repetitions to take root, and the psychosomatic influence wained. More repeated exposure was needed.

I worked at a new school a few years back. On of the teachers started having respiratory issues and told us all he thought there was mold in the school. Evidently this was all new for him and he needed some resolve. Air quality in schools is a fairly well monitored science here in the states, and a crew was called out and did a test. Nothing was found, and air quality exceeded the state standards. The teacher was not satisfied, and began wearing a mask to school. Within two weeks, most of the staff and students were wearing masks to school. Illness swept through the campus and the school was closed. Teams of lab rats combed the school, literally every nook, cranny, and crawl space was tested. The building air and ducting was all evacuated. Anti fungal and germicides were pumped through the system and a complete mop-up and retest gave the school another clean bill of health. News was out that everything was A-ok, school resumed and life was good again. There was nothing ever found, There was nothing ever there, but psychosomaticism.

If your head doesn’t itch before you hear about the lice, you don’t have lice.

If you feel the spirit (define that) only after others feel the spirit, you don’t have it. Nobody does, but positive emotion feels good, and for some it’s addictive and must be shared to get validation.

Because someone says it’s true, doesn’t make it true. In fact, if someone has to tell you something is real, most likely is not true.

Repeating a lie makes it true to those exposed to it. ” From the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established”.

Illusory truth effect.

In 1977 Villanova and Temple universities did a misinformation study where falsehoods were publicized, repeated, and then tested. Through repetition, students were convinced beyond rationality that certain things were true. Things that had no scientific or reason attached to them.

What if I told you that the best canoe for open water must be at least 15 feet long? I repeat the information on a semi-regular basis, then in a random survey ask a multiple choice question about canoe length and open water. The answer of 15 feet is used by the majority of those surveyed, even though it is a fantasy fact.

Feeling the spirit (positive emotion) confirming a lie, illusory truth, turning falsehoods and psychosomatic reactions into reality. Welcome to christianity in a nutshell.

—The Observers

Through luck, genetics, and circumstance of just one astute individual, test group A had became aware early in the experiment…by employing natural psychology and manipulating the foibles of human nature, exploiting group B would be a cinch. Though a simple idea, subjugation would occur on their own terms—with a willingness and endurance unseen in the history of humans.

Creating a god for all to believe while secretly excluding themselves, they would grow in power, wealth, and control while the rest of humanity stagnates in endless debate over choices that are neurotic imaginations—and easy as fear-teaching to a child. They now sit back and just laugh, having no idea at the time just how successful they would become. They would control the world for millennia, all on the choice of the enslaved, while their own pretentious facade of faith would guarantee unfettered loyalty and support.

“I would have to say the early missionaries did quite a number on the world, especially the preachers and priests who accompanied people like Marco Polo, Columbus, de Gama, Cook, Cartier, etc. They spread their lies to almost every corner of the world, and now we are paying the price—rawgod

The syndrome is so bad that prophets imposters pop up from time to time claiming new contact and information coming directly from the illusion itself. A powerful psychosomatic response we’ll be lucky to survive as a species.

10 Things I’ve learned this year

After surrendering your will through indoctrination, repetition, and meditation, the ability and faith to ignore contradiction is now physiological. Hardwired neuropathways are the problem.

Spectral evidence is the foundation of religion.

Physics tell us that matter is comprised of 99.9% empty space. If there is a god and this is his doing, he has used the least amount of resources to create the most amount of misery.

Hall bath done

Those of us that lived the gospel with devotion wound up leaving after gaining knowledge about the details of the faith, while apologists who continue preaching it as truth have yet to live it. Their disgusting behavior is proof they only know the words.

Religious sidetracking and indoctrination stunts the learning potential of some of the greatest minds.

Demanding freedom and autonomy, then in the next breath giving it away by subjugation to a god that monitors their every move and thought is a contradiction in ideals.

The key to understanding the mysteries of god is unbelief.

I believe the full term is, Love thy neighbor as thyself, which says a lot about their self respect considering how they feel about others.

Faith is only hope to live again. Religion plays a psychological card that every animal and element already possess—the desire to carry on. But in the end they have no more surety of that happening than you or me, and they know it.”

Gods are reported by their believers to give humans free will to choose. (Or is that a bait and switch going on?) Half of the worlds religion is administered by force. The other half used to.

The system of religion naturally leads to more torture, division and violence, and the decline of such things has been because of less religiosity, not more.

Christianity naturally has led to the most amount of torture and misery (whether intensional or not) if on purpose shame on him, if by incompetence, some perfect deity? Of course whoever set it up couldn’t see the horrific outcomes, or they could.

Unchecked religion naturally leads to misery, torture, and divisiveness. Not in pockets led by an errant masochist or two, but widespread in every hamlet around the world. It continues to be the end result of uncensored religion.

On Goupthink; people in groups become more extreme in their point of view.” This is why when people leave Christian faith they become decent again.

Religion contains things one would never believe if they didn’t believe it themselves.

Talking out loud to no one is a form of mental illness. Talking under your breath in prayer to no one is also a mental illness.

Master bath with home-made barn door.

Second Hand Religion

The results of Christianity isn’t one that can be measured. It is personal conviction that struggles to put into words what the owner himself thinks is crazy. But, once you believe your own “personal” story, it open up a serious can of worms. The obligatory nature of meta-reality (testimony) now has to give validity to all perceived paranormal activity. It makes it possible, but makes it even more crazy. See, you can’t understand my own personal experience with god, but you are expected to believe my own personal experience from god (unless that experience is Muslim or Hindu or other) there’s where Satan lurks—in other countries.

Second hand religion is a system of believing the quirks of human neurology are divinely inspired. Reality is not only the simple answer, but also more interesting. The galaxy of electrical neurons in our heads occasionally misfire, shut-down, cleanse, reboot, and reroute. It a wonder we have any stability at all, but we manage to limp along with the occasional tic (some more than others). The grand-mal seizure, the head injury, the near death experience, the trauma, the crisis, divorce, loss of a loved one, etc, all put pressure on the neurons, which is gods way of introducing jesus to unbelievers. No, it’s not, but having open dialog about our quirkiness without invoking the supernatural could be an exercise in tremendous growth to answer the questions how and why.

The second, second-hand way to god is through lying. Carefully wording your story to inspire conviction in others causes another backfire in the confusion of our own neuroniverse. Why haven’t I had a visitation? Does god not love me? Am I not chosen? Am I doing something wrong? Am I a sinner? “I am not even worthy to latchet his shoes”. So, eventually through some type of herd instinct peer pressure we wind up praying for what we want. The neurological implications of praying for what you want to believe (in order to fit in) is a near guarantee you will get what you want. Prayer, deep consolation, meditation, group prayer (ugh, everybody hold hands) is at first a very uncomfortable and stupid feeling. Trust that instinct. But as you see around you, the smiles, the hugs, the tears, the joy of the dervish, compels you to want more, even though it’s a sickening display of self inadequacy and recurring shipwreck.

The third second hand is the tic, tic, tic, of your life passing you by living a system created by someone else, fine tuned by someone else, for someone else. As every institution grows it becomes more flawed, more corrupt. As it breaks down it naturally gets more outlandish as they try to hang on. Religion is way over due for an undo, but are we ready to be our own?

What Is The Meaning of This?

“What’s obvious is that you have no understanding of this verse”—Mel Wild

This is the answer I was searching for. All my life I sought for truth, only to have a book secretly placed in my hotel room by an unknown—a Gideon of the gospel to answer life’s riddles. Now my quest—to find meaning outside of myself. Who am I? Where did I come from? Is this life all there is? Where do I go when I die? As an idiot not trained in the correct ways of god, I thought it best to give reading the nod. I had heard so much about “The Good Book” I couldn’t wait to read it, when it mysteriously appeared in the top drawer of my night stand—appearing like a thief in the night.

It was a real page turner as my mind eyelids raced to keep up. I had always imagined if there was a god he would be really cool, like a good teacher, but it seems I was wrong. Vagued by subtle omission, plagued by violent commission, varied in different renditions, the Bible was a complex, but obvious penning of disturbed control-men with massive egos. The LORD it seemed he was a curse, to opened eyes on every verse, with ramblings of severed foreskins, the fever churned out new revelations to the nature of this paranormal being we strive to emulate. This unseen god commanded authority and men were convinced to do the things his parents would never allow, nor would he do on his own. Mass murders were a way of life, while wives came in scores, but were treated like whores. So I moved on to the Quran.

There was no Muslim book in my extended-stay-express, so I google the book and gave it a test. I called a toll-free and wondered to him, “why no Quran in the nightstand herein,

He gave me an answer, this kind Muslim man, told me of why there was no Quran.

“because guests may take it to the bathroom or other improper place.”

Ah said I, after reading some terse, my thoughts exactly after an hour of verse.

So, Torah and testaments old and the new, Quran and the commentary of some old Jews, stories of Moses who didn’t exist, Noah and Jesus and YHWH’s iron fists, to distance myself from the odd violent word, and all contradictions that flowed so absurd, a snapshot from time of a long distant caste, from authors and prophetic dreams of the past, where violence was king and oppressions reigned true, alone I decided was the path I should choose.

No premixed learning of religious odd ways, no groups on Sundays and limitless praise, no dogmas laundry would I choose to embrace, and rather than sell for integrity lost, I’d call my own shots at no matter the cost.

That verse came in question so plain to be read, but requires a doctorate explanation instead, to offer the grandest of oblique excuse, that not even one such as Satan would use.

Sweeping Generalities and Straw Men

Disagreeing with apologists? That’s fallacious talk! Make a comment about the end result of faith? Straw Man! Make an indisputable point? Sweeping generalities—the root of Christian faith—saving the whole world opens you up to such questions when nothing has been “saved” to-date (some have escaped, but none have been saved) It’s no wonder Apolologetics 101—the “Answer me a question loud and clear, I will answer with a question”, feels like your struck singing a round with the Bobby Van chorus and Burt Bacharach? Apologetics have run out of explanations, so now the good pastor and his echolalia have celebrated “the death of christiandom with a sweeping statement. Although meaning well struggling to make sense of complete ridiculosity, he is once again separating the wheat and tares within his own faith, dividing christiandom from Christianity because the outcome has been disastrous is like separating crude oil from a well. The unintended outcome is never desired in the faith, the goal post is moved to adjust once again, what he believes in.

Mel Wild is revolutionizing a new brand of Christianity, outside of Christianity.

Somebody else might have some fun with this. Here’s my last comment but it’s fun to watch all the deflections. “I don’t get angry mel. Your projecting. When you feel every argument is fallacious, it goes full circle to the fact this is the type of argument religion generates from its core. Fallacy? Funny thing Mel, if you look up the fallacies website, virtually every category has religious examples. It’s so easy to see unless you employ faith. The key to the mysteries is unbelief.

God Works Through Epilepsy? –La Fort Fractures

Ellen White, prophetess and co-founder of the Seventh Day Adventist church had a large stone thrown at her when she was nine. Knocked immediately unconscious, regained consciousness for a few minutes, then slipped into coma for three weeks. From descriptions and lasting deformity appears she had a La Fort, or basilar skull fracture and permanent frontal lobe brain damage. Epilepsy is a term that had not been invented yet, but descriptions of her visions are like many seizures I have witnessed in the field. Eyes pegged upwards and trembling, falling, postictal phase, then waking up to gibberish prophesy an extension of her devoted Christian life. Modern medicine can calculate severity of injury based on duration of insult. Not so in early 19th century. HERE is an interesting read about her head injury and descriptions of her visions. After her death visions no longer blessed the church, nor with anyone since. (Since the next head injury) The rebuttal—God works in mysterious ways. Post traumatic epilepsy is a crucial link to revelation, as well as congenital epilepsy.

LUCA—the Progenote

Finding the origins of life on earth is a collaboration of geneticists from around the globe. LUCA, or Last Universal Common Ancestor was a Progenote—2.9 Billion years ago. Massimo Di Guilio of the Institute of Genetics and Biophysics in Naples, Italy states “Progenotes can make proteins using genes as a template, but the process is so error-prone that the proteins can be quite unlike what the gene specified. The crucial point is that LUCA was a progenote, with poor control over the proteins that it made”.

Not to overwhelm with details, but imagine a single-celled organism capable of reproducing, but the shotgun blast of loosely controlled variations eventually filled the oceans in a cooperative sense creating a mega-organism like none seen since, it filled the planet’s oceans before splitting into three and giving birth to the ancestors of all living things on Earth today.

Like a Gish-Gallup of bullshit points in religion (a mythical and destructive form of progenote) starting as a single idea and having no control over the outcomes, spread through the world like a bacteria, or virus. After 3 Billion years we see the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree, and genetically speaking, religion has lost its way but continues to grow in the outermost regions of third world poverty.

While progenote survived by non-competitive cooperation, religion has survived by destroying all noncompliant life in its path.

Don’t Blame God For Christian Atrocities

How unchecked religion develops a natural love affair with torture

The pastor Mel has repeatedly stated that we can’t blame god for the atrocities of his followers. Sometimes it takes me a while to develop completeness in my case that virtually every iota of real Christianity produces the opposite of what is preached. No, I can’t blame god because I don’t believe there is one, but it is 100% accurate when we remember the terrible consequences that arose logically out of Christian faith. Burning witches is just a popular, but tiny blip on the radar of the barbarism that naturally arose through faith in jesus.

Karen King puts it, “there are “torturous narratives at Christianity’s foundations.” Fascination with torture has been a part of the religion since the beginning and the practice thereof has permeated Christian history. Quite possibly it’s just a part of human nature that arises naturally in certain circumstances, and has only recently been suppressed in our civilization. But whatever the reason, torture has always been in the DNA of Christianity. You can’t talk about Christianity without talking about it’s long and romantic relationship with torture”.

Physical torture has decreased in the past 200 years, not because of higher religiosity, but because of less of it. When they have run of the schoolyard, as they continue to assert themselves politically, we are on a path to brutal Muslimism. Our safety depends on a secular government. Brutality arises naturally from unchecked Abrahamic religions. It is not about love in any way whatsoever. It is about force and control. Unchecked religion historically has created a torture class of priestly terror, rape, murder, plunder, false accusations, neighbor on neighbor and misery. Not just a few mind you, but widespread because of the religion. That is the religion I will not form an alliance with. It is the DNA of faith that turns men into monsters. We don’t have a people problem, we have a religion problem. It is its own mark of the beast. It has warned us about itself.

Phantom Limbs and Shadow Figures – A Religious Model

Viewing yourself outside of yourself is merely a projection in the brain trying to make sense of conflicting information.

As a medic I responded to a call a few years back for phantom limb pain. It’s a common phenomenon where an amputee is feeling pain in a leg or arm they no longer have. In this case the patient still had all his limbs—he had done a quick-read on WebMD and his self diagnosis was off…just a bit. Most phantom limb experiences are negative, like an itch you can’t scratch or a malposition limb [sic] they can’t adjust. Phantom limb recognition is rarely pleasant.

Until recently medical explanations hypothesized the severed nerve ending were becoming irritated or agitated and the pain was transmitted to the brain, or possibly memories of old pain were being relived pschcosymatically.

The latest research has shown this is most likely not the case. Phantom limb has made its way into Astral Glide/Outer Body Experience research, linking the brain with spacial recognition of self, even if that self is not there. “The research shows that the self can perceive to be detached from the body and can live a phantom existence on its own, as in an out-of-body experience, or it can be felt outside of personal space, as in a sense of a presence”(1) During deep meditation, dreaming, anesthesia, or hallucinogenic drug use, quite possibly the left brain is observing the right brain as a separate entity, or “god”, As the brain is recognizing a limb that no longer is part of the host, it is real in every way but physical to the patient. One woman had her deformed, 3-fingered hand amputated, only to recall the phantom limb as a normal 5-fingered hand. Some coding in the brain only recognizes the whole self. Gender reassignment surgery also reportedly produces phantom genital sensations and itches. Imagine that frustration.

Religion has mastered the art of the phantom phenomena, constantly describing in great detail what is not really there. While much has to be learned about the brain, there are those that say we will never know, and there are those that keep digging and finding answers. And those answers may come in the form of a missing hand, or even an extra one.

While it may be tempting to invoke the supernatural when this body sense goes awry, the true explanation is a very natural one—the brain’s attempt to make sense of conflicting information. Shadow figures are also linked to the phantom limb research. Shadow figures, the supernatural-extra-dimensional-time-travel-energies conspiracists love to talk about, passing through the corner of your room is merely a projection of self, from a mind trying to make sense of conflicting signals when something is awry. Merely a fear of basements, stress, nutritional imbalance, or environmental factors can manipulate cognitive interpretations. It’s all in your head. Religion would like to take the easy road and explain it as god or supernatural, when in fact the god they seek is an amazing, but anti-climactic us.

When you are afraid of something that is not there, the mind is busy trying to figure out why. Religion creates the fear, assigns a solution and all the while we’re trying to figure out “what the hell”? With so much faith around, it’s a wonder we can even see straight (or can we?) While many of us have amputated the religion we once believed, the pain from believing an illusion is still lurking in the shadows.

Young Life– What the Hell?

Zoe posted a young life story and link that struck a nerve with me. I have family affected by this cult.

Her comment—As for (kids) shutting you down, it’s common. Cultish teachings alienate followers from their families, talents and community. They teach that anyone outside the group (you) doesn’t understand, can’t understand and won’t understand. They see themselves as the highest ideal and others as non-enlightened.

Then it becomes all about getting everyone else in the group. In other words, the cause of Christ. They martyr their own identity and authenticity believing they will be rewarded here and in the after-life. It’s insidious and over-whelming and it becomes the focus

my comment—It got my nephew. It’s sickening. He’s oozing with Jesus all day long and life is passing him by. It hard to be around him any more. Everything is young life, young life this, young life that. My brother, an atheist of forty years let him go to camp with some friends. Bam! I don’t care what kind of belief you have, this type of zealousy is the product of a cult. My neuronal compassion goes out to them.

Climate Hoax

The ruling party of religion has controlled society from the top down for a thousand years. Nice job!

The memories of summers past are fading. I remember the Pacific Northwest with the bluest skies in the world, and now because of the climate change hoax, I can’t see the skies through the smoke for 7 years or more. Call off the hoax, join a good church, pray like hell and keep using every resource imaginable. That should clear things up.

The ultimate say in morality is once again, the most damaging model to humanity. Christians have had the majority say in the destruction of our world and not one has taken the lead to end this stupidity. Regardless about how you feel about your faith, the overall picture of what has happened under your watch is disgusting.

I don’t think we’ve had a clear day this month. Thanks climate hoax! Fire season is only six months long now. Good job. Praise the Lawd!

Here’s the air quality in our Beijing NE Washington area today.

Is it something I said?

Me—(Your) Religion has no proof for the existence of god after 2000 years. Can I ask you what facts you have to present? How do you know you’re right? I know enough about neurology and the entire conversion process to know how easily humans are influenced by playing on basic psychology. It’s quite obvious where the god resides. He’s right in your head.

BeaconApologetics—Proof? What kind of proof would convince you? Are you are asking for something that can be seen? Are you looking for something that can be weighed? What kind of evidence would suit you? If you have decided what evidence is sufficient, what is it? I believe you need to find a good Gospel preaching Church in your area and address these questions to the Pastor there. I have many evidences that I have experienced in my life that you would likely blow off as delusional. What evidence would work so that YOU would believe in God? Please do not insult me as I have not insulted you, statements such as “It’s. quite obvious where the god resides. He’s right in your head” does not work for me or anyone else.

He does hold comments until he’s ready to respond. My opinion is defamatory, while his completely fact-less opinions are to be taken at their presup I suppose.

Course Correction

“If”there is a god, the rise of Christianity on first glance appears to be an attempted course correction of the millenniums-old religion of the one, true, perfect, infallible YHWH. Having a change of heart, or to keep up with man’s own superior morality a change had to be made, or is it pure conflation? Yet in an attempt to purge out the immorality of his own doing (mosaic law and divine command) he threw in a few feel-good scriptures about love, naughty clergy, heaven, end-time destruction and hell torment. Try as he might, the Old Testament god still rears his head today (the religious mindset) and claims the chain is unbroken authority from the beginning. The Old and New are carried around as one book, and out of 66 tries we still have the piety and divisiveness of the old, with the psychological faith trick in the new. Improved? Faith should never be the end-all-be-all goal of any endeavor, but a concept to work towards fact and reality. If the biblical faith is “evidence (please) of things not seen”, the equivalent of displaying sure knowledge of an imagination, that is quite the oxymoron to base your life’s work on. The inherent byproduct of monotheism is division, and initiation includes recognizing your worthlessness before the creator who loves you. This particular brand of self deprecation has one treating his neighbors as he would treat himself—unkindly

“How much more abominable and filthy is man, which drinketh iniquity like water?” Job‬ ‭15:16‬ ‭

“He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me; and he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me”. Matt 10:37

*Careful trusting anyone who capitalizes “Me” when used by a speaker to refer to himself or herself as the object of a verb or preposition.

“Christianity has percolated through the layers of dogmatism and bigotry, of intolerance and superstition, of damnation and hell fire. It takes on itself the quality of these layers and imparts them to those that are received within its folds”. Virchand Gandhi, The Monist

Those outside the faith see it clearly, while faith obscures the facts obvious to every nonbeliever.

Religious Echolalia

Having someone silently mouth the words you are speaking is called echolalia. Many of us know someone that does this and there are a few causes to address, notably left hemispheric brain injury. Also, some subconsciously do this conversational lip-sync to enhance memory when short term memory is becoming problematic. Nonverbal echolalisis is normal in some, but combined with religion it has proven damaging to entire continents. Religious echolalia is a common practice to polish lies, mimicking and memorizing lines of bullshit horseshit to later flow from the lips of the once silent puppet.

Silently mouthing and audibly floundering apologists have perfected this technique in seminaries across the country. Conversational lip-sync from both sides of the mouth is a skill-set usually reserved for top ventriloquist, but apologists have now taken the industry by storm. Here below our favorite apologist duo, Mel and John caught during warmups

And this dress rehearsal secretly photographed of apologist Wally and Colorstorm. Not sure who is who in this one.

While each team has their own style, rigorous rehearsal and bromance has made the four indistinguishable in print. The cure to religious echolalia is unbelief. Dry your eyes you weepy guys. Jesus ain’t coming, and the truth, however painful, is a reality you can learn to live with.

Straight is the Gate, Narrow is the Way

—And few will find it? 2.4 billion fews is a lot of Christians that think they’re making the cut. If this (or any other scripture) is authentic from the mouth of god, what are your chances? “Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, (Christian morals) which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.” Matthew‬ ‭7:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬. Christian morality front-loads presupposition assuming they have the ultimate everything. It has to press the world into its mold to find “the few” from the billions. When the key to understanding the mysteries is unbelief, I guess I have been led to life as one of the few that have found it by seeing it for what it is.

The central ideas of Christianity — an angry God and vicarious atonement — are contrary to every fact in nature, as also to the better aspirations of the human heart; they are, in our present stage of enlightenment, absurd, preposterous, and blasphemous propositions. Christians well know that the much-decorated statue of the Church, as it now stands, is not of pure chiseled marble, but of clay, cemented together by blood and tears and hardened in the fires of hatred and persecution. And still we hear the cry, ‘The whole world for Christ”—Virchand Gandhi—Jainism

Would be nice if Christianity would understand that the morality of its’ faith is far inferior to others, as well as just regular people. As a regular guy it is incredibly obvious that the religion of Christianity is at complete odds with what we observe in the natural world, contrary to every fact. All we have to do is look around.

Few: the minority of people; the elect, a world that increasingly belongs to the few”

synonyms: a small number, a handful, one or two, a couple, two or three.

Another metaphor of plain talk from ultimate truth? Are you one of the few that has been herded into a belief in promises contradicting the very scripture?

Where is your Evidence for no God

This is the type of question designed to deflect responsibility to explain a claim something exist one has no proof for.

I stated — “Atheism is a lack of belief. ”

His response — True, but you stated that you believe something. you stated: “the reality that there is no god”. Where is your evidence of no God?

What answer will suffice to demonstrate to a believer that the “evidences” that claim for a god are strictly emotions and feelings or spectral evidences that are not valid for proof in any setting—but religion? The mere fact that he has to use that particular question, is evidence there is no gods out yonder in the heavens that tinkers in the lives of humans.

Gravitational Lensing and the Wake of Religion

Once again Albert Einstein has been proven right, and using gravitational lensing in distant galaxies, modern astronomers have seen the bending of space-time (which bending causes the force of gravity) confirming the theory of General Relativity. Using powerful telescopes, essentially viewing through the wake of the moving system, distortion is created in distant stars beyond the wake, appearing momentarily to have moved to another location due to the bending of light through gravitational waves. Really quite fascinating that after 100 years technology finally caught up to be able to accurately test the theory. By and by more apologetic objections will fall by the wayside—their gravity analogy is no longer valid, but as with belief systems of narrowly confined learning, it may take another hundred years for the word to reach Christian circles.

Looking beyond the wake of religion also has a distortion rarely seen by believers, but obvious to the causal observer. Words viewed through the wake appear as moving goal posts in a fog of apologetic banter, swirling and circling distortions claiming god is good, when in fact god is absent. Claiming god is love, but the love you seek is yours already to give. If you are waiting for gods love to make the world right, you’ll be dead and buried before you’ll see it. Perhaps our next generation of youngsters will stop waiting and start doing.

The Incredible Coyote and Western Morality

How killing for fun is not only a Christian Right, but a value

Christian vulgarity has reigned it’s bullets down on the North American coyote for over 100 years. The longest standing extermination order in history has killed millions of coyotes and continues its bounty program in most states. Competitive hunts sponsored throughout the nation each year with cash prizes and trophies instill to our kids the right obligation to kill for fun.

“One morning in the late 1930s, the biologist Adolph Murie stood near a game trail in Yellowstone National Park and watched a passing coyote joyously toss a sprig of sagebrush in the air with its mouth, adroitly catch it, and repeat the act every few yards. At the time, Mr. Murie was conducting a federal study intended to prove, definitively, that the coyote was “the archpredator of our time.” But Mr. Murie, whose work ultimately exonerated the animals, was more impressed by that sprig-tossing — proof, he believed, of the joy a wild coyote took in being alive in the world” (1)

The majority of politicians have failed to address this with any passion, and being the good, high moral standard western value Christians that they are, continue the killing spree. A useless torture that drives the coyote without mercy and without effect. “Under persecution, the biologists argued, evolved colonizing mechanisms kicked in for coyotes. They have larger litters. If alpha females die, beta females breed. Pressured, they engage an adaptation called fission-fusion, with packs breaking up and pairs and individuals scattering to the winds and colonizing new areas. In full colonization mode, the scientists found, coyotes could withstand as much as a 70 percent yearly kill rate without suffering any decline in their total population”.

Hunters have their ultimate victim to hunt—one that can outbreed the continued onslaught. How fun is it? While the coyote is hunted for sport, they die in earnest. Leave them to experience their joy, and populations will mitigate in their own necessary way.

Christian values and morals once again are superior delayed in common decency and way off the mark—unless your talking killing for sport.

Comments of the Week

A few great comments from the last week.

If you need faith to believe it, then “it” doesn’t exist except either in your own imagination (“I want it to be this way”) or in the sales pitch of those whose job it is to suck in the unwary. Sha’Tara

The damage of religious self-disempowerment, whether imposed or choosen, creates a ripple-effect of contradictions and intellectual dissonance. Professor Taboo

Your first two paragraphs are almost a scarily accurate description of what happened to me. At one point in my life I managed to convince myself that my doubts and fears were my problem, not the church’s. I was doubting because there was something wrong with me, not with the religion. I pushed deeper into the faith, GrouchyFarmer

incomprehensible, unimaginable, and beyond human comprehension… Until being personal, engaged, and a handy tinkerer with the genome is required. john zande

And lastly, Jonathan had a take on a Thomas Aquinas quote that was pretty good. God is incomprehensible, at least how many theist use it seems to me to be a convenient excuse when carrying out an inquiry on the existence of god

It is like me claiming to have a unicorn and upon inquiry I say it is unseeable

Thus we are unable to apprehend it by knowing what it is. Yet we are able to have some knowledge of it by knowing what it is not.

I think this statement is nonsensical , reason being that, the first statement is saying that we can’t know what god is, then the second says that we can know what god is not.

If Aquinas did not know what god is:

How did he know that god is the creator

How did he know that god is good

How did he know that god is not evil

How did he know that it is god not gods

How did he know what god is not

You can’t claim to know what A is not, if you don’t know what A is Jonathan

Sunk-Cost Fallacy—Moving Beyond Faith

What is one to do without god watching over them? That’s easy. You’ve been doing it all along.

Coming to the crossroads of unbelief eventually moved to ask the lord for help to believe based on the idea that maybe I had missed something. Show me the way, inspire me, hear my prayers—just one. His answer came as complete silence. No still, small voice. No thunder, enlightenment, or verse popped into my head. Nothing but quiet reflection. Literally every point of the gospel needed ad nauseum excuses and mental gymnastics. I couldn’t do it anymore. Turning to the house I looked back and knew I was alone. I had always been alone. Realizing that changed nothing for me. I found I was capable enough and needed no one to chart my path. So what was I to do?

Up till then I had thrown my hat in the ring of Christianity so many times I can’t remember them all. Acquiescing to “what if I’m wrong”, I never believed I could leave faith. I kept that premise as I no longer had faith in the religion that preoccupied so much of my time and more or less, I dissolved my relationship without a whimper. If there was a god, it certainly wasn’t interested in me.

There are ministers, priests, pastors, and other clergy all around the world who have invested a significant portion of their lives in theology, who can no longer manage to hold supernatural beliefs — who have moved beyond faith.  Hundreds of them recognize those sunk costs and are searching for the best way to move on, whereas many others cannot accept the loss of their religious investment, and continue to practice a profession inconsistent with their belief

When living contrary to your knowledge or disbelief, you are living the sunk-cost fallacy. Not willing to give up the time and energy invested in a failure, throwing in the towel on your life to live your status quo, biding in the atheistic closet for fear of losing friends, business, or family because the cost is too high to formally buck the system. Moving beyond faith—the facts are not for everyone. Hypocrisy is easy. What would one do without a god? That’s easy. You’ve already been doing it.

Ordering Off Menu

Whenever we go out to eat, my wife is constantly out-ordering me. She’ll talk to the waiters and describe some incredible home-cooked meal just the way she pictures it, and more often than not they come back with some fabulous creation while I’m eating something with fries. Her food brain is like a fashion designer—nowadays I’ll just have what she’s having.

These past 2-1/2 months of house building she’s been cooking for 13 people out of the cabin—for both families and a friend, a grandson and the teenagers friends, and whoever stops by. It’s been incredible and a tremendous work load in a cabin with no dishwasher and a very basic kitchen. I don’t think we’ve eaten the same thing twice, and all top notch meals. Thank you.

Religion has no “off the menu” ordering, but it does. I’ll explain. I recently saw a show where this guy and his fiancé are looking for a church. Each week they go somewhere different, check the facilities and get a quick sales pitch explanation about the belief and direction of the church from the pastor. It is semi amusing sickening, but then the couple decides if this is a place and belief they agree with. Then they move on. Trying to find a Christian church that already aligns with what you want to believe is a painstaking process. The lighting, music, and decor must be just right. They will never find what they want, so they’ll either settle for close, or hey, start their own church! What better way to find what you already believe?

After the breakup of AT&T, thousands of smaller telecoms popped up all over the country. New companies emerged with their own way of doing things. The religious monopolies have already collapsed. Each is doing its own thing and is disconnected from the source (if there ever was one) and each church is going the way of the pastor. 45,000 denominations, personalized service, but it’s no longer Christianity—any more that Inland Telephone is AT&T. Everyone is off the menu, they just can’t admit it.

“The key to solving the mysteries of god is unbelief ” whatever you hear in religion, look for the opposite to be true. Very simple observations prove this time and again.

Integrity Signaling

Being saved doesn’t make you a decent person. The very idea that salvation comes through faith is a sure-fire road to an ill-potentialed [sic] life of self-excuse. In evangelical circles, sinners celebrate their weakness, often publicizing their sin as some sort of faith virtue. I’ll call it “integrity signaling”. Drawing attention to yourself, aligning to a groupthink attempt to appear human.

Remember Jimmy Swaggart, the Assembly of God televangelist “I have sinned” confession. “I have sinned against you,” he said, looking directly at Frances, his wife of 35 years, and then turned his apologies to his son Donnie, daughter-in-law Debbie, his parishioners and his God. “I have sinned against You, my Lord, and I would ask that Your precious blood would wash and cleanse every stain until it is in the seas of God’s forgetfulness.” His audience, plainly moved by his copious tears, wept with him, interrupting him twice with standing ovations. It is part of evangelical culture.

This type of sinner virtue born again belief is a disgusting display of false remorse, but a badge of honor to release your guile publicly. Somehow this integrity signaling is supposed to make you a decent person. It doesn’t. Good behavior and personal responsibility is what makes us all tolerable. Look here, pretending justification by pretending to be forgiven doesn’t make our problems go away. Sometimes it takes a little effort, and we all could use some of that.

Ultimate in Pious Bitterosity

The ultimate quest for many in the faith is appearance. Many have someone close to them that continues to use their faith in jesus, communion, music, and tv selections as a complete cover of the real them. Filled with demons of their own, strict determination of religious discipline will insure the spawn don’t turn out as horrible as you. This has been brewing for decades, and as Latinagem was forced to square off with the problem at hand, her pen came alive as a therapeutic release. Feel the feel, if you will in five spontaneous versus. Try to see the humor if you can. All I can do is laugh any more, but hypereligiosity in parenting is a style to cover your own rotten core and fear.

Sexual Morality- Who is in Charge?

Moralty comes from regions of the brain based on positive and negative input and our ability to process information. That being said, what is the governing force behind sexual morality?

An interesting study showed that societies where women were economically dependent in their relationships, frowned heavily upon promiscuity, while those that had less or no economic dependence on a male partner were less concerned with promiscuity. While religion tends to flourish in societies steeped in female economic dependence.

“Our results do imply a hypothesis for why religious and conservative ideologies themselves tend to be anti-promiscuity: because they emerged in environments characterized by high female economic dependence.

When abrahamic religion talks of the origins of morality, the rarely mentioned but main concern of morality is sexual purity in women. It’s origins are primal, and male dominant religious cultures genealogy is a keypoint. Same as the apes, it was all about maintaining control of food, territory, and sex. Keep the harem closely guarded.

Reductio ad Absurdum

If the whole world lived like Jesus, what would it be like?

(also known as: reduce to absurdity)

—If everyone lived exactly like Jesus, the world would be a perfect place

Reductio ad absurdum is a technique to expose fallacious statements like the one above. Taken at face value we will assume it is true. In such a case, we would have 8 billion people on this earth roaming from town to town, living off the charity of others, preaching about God (with nobody listening). Without anyone creating wealth, there would be nobody to get charity from—there would just be 8 billion people all trying to tell each other about God.  After a few weeks, everyone would eventually starve and die.  This world might be a beautiful place for the vultures and maggots feeding on all the Jesus-like people, but far from a beautiful world from a human perspective.  Since the world cannot be both a perfect place and a horrible place, the proposition is false.

Fortunately for the rest of us, no christians actually live like jesus anyway. The talk is heavy in contradiction and the rituals mean absolutely nothing. And, internet christians being true to form, are as absent in practice as their god is in reality. How can one actually follow something that never existed in the first place? It is my duty to make the world a beautiful place by refusing to live like Jesus and embrace all our varieties and talents. Less religion, more humanity. Less hate, more love. Less conjecture, more truth. Less faith, more personal responsibility.

If everyone lived with grace by faith, the world would be a horrible place of reckless deferred responsibility. Reductio ad Absurdum that one!

Living It Versus Believing It

Casual observations provide evidence that faith is essential to gospel longevity, while applying the precepts of faith will be its undoing.

Faith in god and the traditions that come with religion creates a powerful testimony and deep convictions that what you believe is true. Many of us believed the gospel message and lived it, then, when bewilderment replaced anticipated joy we began our investigation. We encountered the contradictions and fallacies but continued to embrace the importance of faith to navigate the world with security, hope, and perspective, leading us to ultimate inner peace and joy—we doubled down. Prayers and scripture study became more intense while doubt mounted against our efforts. We lived it and gave our all—then left it because nothing added up to cover the horrors, excuses, vagaries, evidence, contradictions, and failings of prayer.

Reading this week in CS, IB, CT and various others including comments from MW and JB, I had a profound epiphany of sorts—we that lived it with all our devotion wound up leaving, while they continue preaching it’s effectiveness and truth because they have yet to live it. Their strong belief has not field tested the words they speak and write—convincing words and writings that they have heard and read without application. They are virulent and rude, cocky and smug, which is not the gospel at all, whether it’s authentic or not. The hypocrisy and guile of these bloggers is an embarrassment to their faith, and a poor representation of every day Christians that I know. Those “believers without knowledge” that are good people, would be good people even without religion.

  • Good people that believe what they are told, live the gospel well.
  • Good people that live the gospel very well and gain knowledge—leave.
  • Those that profess the truth through faith are the most vile and toxic of them all, and the only reason they still believe it is because they’ve never lived it. It is obvious they only know the words.

My Older Brother

Born to a fair and middle class life, We wandered and wondered without any strife, four good ol’ boys who loved tussle and swim, to flirt with the girls there was no harm therein, but all that would change from the roof to the floor, when one horrid day came a knock at the door.

Mother and dad were good folks but it seems, they had not yet been schooled in the prophetic dreams, they learned they were sinners and destined to fall, these men at the door who dare gave us their all, instilled in grand doubt and made good things seem pall.

A promised grand life if we follow their book, dad said he would read it but he never did look, he went by their word as a word is a bond, the way old folks did in old days that are gone, so we joined with their church and were baptized us four, and all because someone gave a knock at the door.

Now Sundays were different with no time to explore, we’d sit in the church and keep still to be sure, but being a young lad who didn’t set very good, got my first whippin’ and in the corner I stood, the teacher told dad how I had misbehaved, and I was the lad not even jesus could save.

A dark cloud hung over my once happy face, to be safe and content we did prayers to have grace, but these things they promised we already had, long before the time we found out we were bad, but god we found out he was keeping a score, from the men who had come and knocked at our door.

They taught us of freedom of choice and freewill, then took it away with fear torments of hell, we learned that the devil got into our skins, that gay folks were bad and loud laughters a sin, but I looked for the day I would once turn eighteen, and with two middle fingers I returned to my dreams.

Leaving was easy, adjusting was hard, but still no regrets that I turned in my card, I learned how to choose and the consequence mine, that I could do good without all of the fines, the guilt it still lingers and thoughts come is scores, from so long ago I heard a knock at the door.

Is everyone crazy, I think that they are, confessing their sins and then sinning some more, responsibly daft and delayed recompense, excuses and reasons for time on the fence, waiting for someone to even their score, hate and division then hating some more, ironic hypocrisy blend with the days, the living and loving so often delayed, to wait on another to come make it right, when we have the power to end the long fight.

The Answer

So much of life is searching for answers, prying back the layers to find meaning or substance, years of true devotion and commitment and in the end, the answer was an easy or obvious solution hidden in plain sight. John, over at Nowhere Tribune posted a concise and worthwhile book review about a missionary who came to the realization that people around the world were happy without the gospel and Jesus. He also notes that the higher your level of devotion and study of the Bible and Christianity, the more likely one is to leave it. We are going about this atheism all wrong! All we need to do is promote in-depth bible study. Spread the word! And give John a quick read if you have a moment.

Cockermouth, Hooker, Morehead and Climax

Some towns have names that come with an explanation. For instance, the outskirts of Hooker Oklahoma says; “Welcome to Hooker. It’s a place, not a profession”. Others just let it ride, but if your from Bumpass, Virginia, you know the history came from the French “bon pas” meaning good step. It evolved over time to what it is today. Throw in some slang and accent, and you can kind of picture the process.

Cockermouth, England is famous today for sheep and the annual woolfest. The name comes from being at the mouth of the Cocker river. It’s an ancient market town with a name that can, in today’s slang, raise an eyebrow, especially if it were in Montana. Baaa!

Most towns are just towns and don’t need much explaining when you pass through. Religion, on the other hand, has a lot of explaining to do—It has to. Virtually every verse, every catch phrase, and every doctrine has to be explained ad nauseum in order to understandrelinquish accept the obvious pitfalls in the story. From the Red Sea to the shining star in the east, or the contradictions of all points in between, nothing in reality matches the stories. It has to be propped up on every single point.

If only one part of it were true, I think most of us would give another serious inquiry. But reality doesn’t match with even one. Morehead and Climax and Cummings may have strange names in today’s language, but they are real places with real history, but you only have to explain it once. So, next time you’re in Morehead, stop at the booth for a Dickens’ cider. At least you may get a chuckle, which is more than you’ll get from religion. And yes, I went there, but I’ve never been there.

The Next Einstein

How religious sidetracking stunts human potential for higher learning

Oops. The lottery on child birthing foreordained spirits has just placed the next Einstein in a Christian home. His room, all ready for next months due date, is blue. Above the crib sits a mobile with jesus and twinkles with children’s hymns. The walls are adorned with bible verses and pictures of Moses parting the Red Sea, Jesus praying in the garden of gethsememe, and Abraham praying up to a cloud. The boys name will be Daniel, after the prophet.

—fast forward 12 years. After showing excellent aptitude for math and science, his parents question his devotion to god and distract his convictions with innuendos and smugness. They correct him with comments about pseudoscience and how faith is the answer to all of life’s questions. They openly criticize climate science, and other ungodly, intrusive left wing conspiracies. Those who believe in science have more faith than Christians. They continue to read select bible verses and tell the creation story, and that we all know that truth comes from the Bible and from god—the answers to life’s questions are in scripture. Bible camps and Sunday worship, youth choir and is now president of his Sunday school class. He can quote 50 scriptures. He is a good boy. His neurons are off the chart smart. He memorizes the King James Bible. He is a prodigy.

At graduation he leads the school in an unsanctioned prayer, even catching his parents by surprise. They are so proud. He is a leader. Perfect GPA and smart as they come—he will do just fine in life and be a good husband and a godly man. On the side he is applying the sciences—quantum mechanics—his true love. He’s been accepted to Liberty University and plans to major in divinity. His parents are so proud.

At 21 his love for science remains, but the pace of college life and an early graduation, student debt and a baby on the way, he takes a job at a church in Tulsa. Moving expenses paid and a little house on the property, he begins the rest of his life. His ideas of quantum mechanics are never published or reviewed. His math is getting rusty, and the equations he had memorized he can no longer decipher. They sit in a “get to it later” moving box as his life begins. He now does a local Christian radio show Saturday nights. Q and A and a memorized bible. He’s fantastic!

Religious side-tracking is delaying progress in the world. Statistically, 80% of the greatest scientific minds we’ll never hear of. Distracted with faith, belief, and fable, the windows of opportunity close and what could be, would be great, becomes mere baggage to the few that are pulling us along toward greatness. Fill the mind with something great, but anything will do if you’re starving it.

And if you think christians are indoctrinated, what do you think of their cousins?

“Is it true that Muslim children can RECITE the whole Quran? How?

Yes! It is true. Our children can recite the Quran by age 5–12 years. Around 90% children in Muslim households memorize more than 6000 verses and can recite Quran from memory”. Literally millions from each Muslim country have done this. And the cultural pressure for these “Hafiz” is great. They must maintain the memorization through there life leaving little time for advanced learning.

Although an impressive feat, it is also a discouraging look into the future of practical knowledge from the former breadbasket of higher learning.

When that’s all you know, it must be true. There is no time for anything else when culture dictates a life filled with one topic that designs your every thought.

Freedom and Religion – Another Oxymoron

To think that christian peoples of all denominations demand complete freedom and autonomy while at the same time adhering to a religion that dictates to them in every phase of their life, proves they are the very ones that need strict liberal governing. In fact, they demand it, unable to imagine that another may live life peaceably and kind without their specific set of rules. Point number ten trillion where what they say does not match with what we observe. “The idea of the sacred is quite simply one of the most conservative notions in any culture, because it seeks to turn other ideas—uncertainty, progress, change, into crimes—Salman Rushdie

Sunset last night eclipsed by layers of smoke. The end is near

The depths of religious anxiety is a choice to remain in fear. Fear of an afterlife, fear of hell, fear of knowledge, fear of other ways of life, and fear of dying, for fear spawns hope, and those disposed to superstition cannot live happily without hope.

They demand freedom and in the next breath cast it away with a subscription to a god that monitors their every move—Contradictions 3:16

Plug and Play Religion

Forget about your natural instincts and curiosities. You don’t need to work anything out in regards to your own spirituality, someone has already figured that out for you, but the choices are limited.

Each person is born unique and curious. Flowers, trees, rocks and streams are all natural wonders to be learned anew to each generation—just watch a toddler play in the dirt, interact with wildlife, pick flowers or gather pinecones. They are fascinated with the newness of life and the natural world, but the first thing everyone religiosos want to do is rush them into a belief system with christenings, baptisms, circumcisions, and blessings before they even know what the hell is going on. Heaven forbid if they would bring their own fresh perspective and possibly add their own inspiring vision of life. Only when they are older can they be loosened and encouraged to think outside the box—the box that has already been closed and tied with a neat bow—a box called conformity, unconsciously hamstringing potential for the rest of their life. The best of the best will continue to forgo their greatest chance for opportunity and learning, not of any choice of their own, but by cunning ignorance of parents and preachers.

In a world where the importance of bloody manners and cultural etiquette are the standard of moral behavior, they continue chipping away at potential breakthroughs because it may be different, or as if those things are morally important, trapping our children in their formative years into becoming believers. Not only in religion, but in society’s systemic conditioning that what lies on the surface is merely to camouflage the real you, and you must wear it at all times in the name of morality. This is the crime of religious influence.

Christian culture is a facade. On the surface is where we are pressed to live, openly displaying who we are not, our lives are spent hiding who we really want to be. Out of constant fear of judgement and prejudice we perjure ourselves and whither inside as the life in us passes by like a dream. Only after learning to conform are we allowed to further education, where the same schools of thought are taught all over the world. Religious diplomas to the ministry keep hammering away with slight variations of the same worn out inscrutability. And the university, the last, great bastion of free thought where 90% of the students and faculty all vote the same way, where in reality there is a third way—a better way. A new system yet to be discovered and embraced because of unwittingly conditioning our children to conform. Only then comes the tried and true standard of learning which continues to elude greatness at every turn. Religion is the pillar of tried and true failure. Our societies are laced tighter than a Victorian corset with religion. After thousands of years of failure I’d say it’s time to move on. But alas, we get plugged into a system the minute we are born and learn through predetermined fear how to live our lives like everyone else.

The Age of unReason

“Of all the tyrannies that affect mankind, tyranny in religion is the worst; every other species of tyranny is limited to the world we live in; but this attempts to stride beyond the grave, and seeks to pursue us into eternity” Thomas Paine

“Among the sayings and discourses imputed to him [Jesus] by his biographers, I find many passages of fine imagination, correct morality, and of the most lovely benevolence; and others again of so much ignorance, so much absurdity, so much untruth, charlatanism, and imposture, as to pronounce it impossible that such contradictions should have proceeded from the same being”. Thomas Jefferson

Christianity’sinflated numbers is like converting every Ethnic restaurant in the world to Mexican food by changing the sign on the door. Many of today’s customs used in the Church can be traced back to Rome, when Constantine permitted the process of converting the official religion of the Roman Empire from Paganism to Christianity.

But forget the word ‘converting‘. Changing the sign on the door is a lot easier and quicker than changing the whole building. Christianity was created on many customs that were practiced by Jews and Pagans (non monotheistic) at that time as religion and belief was interwoven with superstition. There is no difference today. There are literally thousands of different faiths that merely claim to be Christian.

The apologist answer; “But don’t misunderstand the use of the word ‘converting’; the birth of Christianity was not merely a recycle job. There’s little doubt that early christians adopted well-known customs to develop their religion and doctrine. To suggest otherwise is to say that the seeds sown by God for earlier faiths was a mistake. By definition, God does not make mistakes“.

So there you go, even though it was adapted through false religions, that was the will of god all along to have false religion carry the banner of truth. Ridiculous.

2.4 Billion and 1.6 Billion and no Bliss

With all the power attested by Abrahamic religion you would think the world pure bliss by now, especially with most of faith in the multigenerational stage by fertility, passing on those good christian genes. Late yesterday Professor Taboo made a comment that deserves some attention. “These signs [attesting miracles] will accompany those who have believed: in My name they will cast out demons, they will speak with new tongues; they will pick up serpents, and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Here is the world as we would know it if any of it were true. Now remember, christianity has been the dominant, most populous religion in the world for about 1000 years, and is soon to be outnumbered by Islam, who also lays claim to the healing power of scripture and prayer.

The Blind would see—As world domination has maintained numbers of about 65% abrahamic you would expect ophthalmology to be in decline, but the reverse is true. Recent headlines read; “Growing demand for eye care highlights shortage of ophthalmologists”, “Growth foreseen for ophthalmology sector”. However, new technologies through science research and development, many colorblind may now see color, and some deaf are hearing with otic manipulation, computers, and advanced hearing aids. 2000 years into this faith you’d expect they’d have improved the quality of life in some minor measurable form, but evidently nothing what the scriptures says is true. And all done in his name…Well, at least reality gives apologists some employment.

Sick would be healed by prayer—Social media has quadrupled the number of healing prayers, likes for prayers, and shouts-outs of “praying” to bolster the efficacy of prayer, but statistically it appears the overblown passionate flowing of prayer has irritated the big lord of love into hiding. The advent of cell cameras and the internet has actually slowed prayers, healing, and miracles to zero.

Nothing in abrahamic faith can even remotely be verified, nor has it improved life on the planet. Studies have shown their doctrine to be ineffective at healing anything at all. Here’s their answer to that problem. “Study of the supernatural is out of sciences reach“. But statistics show prayer does nothing to heal anything, and quire possibly increases anxiety causing untoward effects on healing.

In His Name the only new tongues that have been spoken is honing, bassackwards splicing of words to obfuscate reality and maintain control through incremental increases in apologetics. Finely tuned inscrutable phrases and religious intellectual verbosity is the purest form of deception.

Bad Things Happen to Good People

“Anyone who has to ask why God would let bad things happen to good people has obviously never drowned one of their game Sims in a swimming pool” 🙂

If we are his creation and if it is for his will and pleasure, if there is a god, he’s anything but caring, loving, all powerful, or unimaginable. I see what happens around the world and the grossness of the worst atrocities. I see the works of his hands, and I can imagine pretty well what is going on in his world. He created this for his own will and pleasure. His joy is the whole worlds miserable, depraved, starving, cancerous, dying lot.

He has commanded his greatest creature to subdue the earth and have dominion over it. Using animals for food, butchering other life without a care, or should I say, insisting on it so he can smell the “sweet savor” of burning flesh he is too magnificent to touch or feel. We are his Sims, his creation, and this is his doing.

If the atom is 99.99% emptry space, you are 99.99% empty space. Of course the majority of the matter you are comprised of is most likely consciousness, giving you the ability to feel. If there is a god and this is his doing, he has used the least amount of resources to create the most amount of misery that only a god could do. Is this the core of the great overLORD in the sky?

Book of Mormon Authorship

If Joseph Smith authored the Book of Mormon with an eighth grade education it is quite a feat. Although the book came out in his 20’s, who really knows what he learned or where. A history book issued in his school years when he was 12 obviously had some significant influence. Thanks to the computer age, 100,000 books published in Smith’s time extracted one stunning correlation. The Late War Between the United States and Great Britain by Gilbert Hunt, is a king James style history book used as a student reader about the war of 1812. The Book of Mormon contains over 100 4gram matches (please see this and scroll to the top after loading) to the The Late War. 4gram, or unique 4 word sentences typically will match one or two times per thousand books. It also contains many exact phrases and closely related ideas from The Late War, and the Book of Mormon itself is primarily about war, but then again, so are most other religious texts. Joseph Smith was 12 when the Book entered schools. It was a great success, and endorsed by reputable scholars. The same scholars joseph smith approached to validate the Book of Mormon.

But for myself, there are two other reasons I do not believe Joseph Smith Jr. authored the Book of Mormon, but I believe his father did, and with cooperation in the family business, Jr. was the front man. The tree of life vision of the Book of Mormon is an important piece in Mormon culture and the Book of Mormon. Everybody mormon knows the story. It was also a journal entry from Joseph Smith Sr’ wife, referring to the story told by her husband 19 years prior to the publishing of the Book of Mormon. He was an educated man and had been working on the story for decades, and is the ghost writer if I am right.

I asked my wife the other day when I stumbled across this journal entry, if one of our kids said they wanted us to join with them in a church, would we do it? It was an emphatic “no!” Jr’s parents and all his siblings joined the church and were part of its organizing day. All of them! Then I asked my wife if I wanted the family to join a church, would we all join? Her answer was probably. In fact, that’s what happened to us years ago. The entire family joined the LDS because I was LDS. Jr’s family were all a part of the scheme, as they were with other shady adventures including divining and other occult activities.

LDS apologetics is stating the vision by Sr. was to prepare him to know his son was a prophet. How surprised he must have been when he read the tree of life vision in the Book of Mormon for the first time. Uh, no, not surprised, because most likely he wrote it. Remember the simplest answer is most likely the best answer. Here is a short Mormon article about the vision. Read the comments too, as you can judge for yourself the depth of LDS faith in fiction.

As a side note, most LDS do not know about Sr’s account of the tree of life. Members need to do some digging because this is just another of many failing bilge pumps. The ship would sink pretty fast if anyone does any reading. I would love to hear some thoughts from members on this. What is the current thought on this?

Climbing the Walls

A year ago we built a small climbing wall inside our house. It’s only about 9 feet tall, but the kids have used it well. Now they climb doorways and trees and narrow hallways. Anyway, last night we finally got away and I took her to a climbing gym. Now she’s 7 mind you, and this is her first real climb. I sent this pic home to the mrs.

This was the reply; “wtf Jim? Jesus h Christ!” Lol.

We stayed four more hours and my daughter met and climbed with some older girls. Here she is (now a professional) picking a route

She chose her routes very well for a beginner on the big stuff. I hope she continues to choose her own way instead of falling in line and following some pre-designed, fine-tuned lifestyle that restricts her ability.

Undeveloped Film

Nature is an excellent teacher to the obvious inadequacy of faith.

I read a book when I was a teenager called The Tracker, by Tom Brown. I still have a copy and my 7 year old daughter is a big fan of identifying tracks we find out on our hikes.

Anyway, I was living in the mountains working as a wrangler, guide, and packer for an outfit called High Country Packers and I read The Tracker. There’s a section about stalking deer, and if you’re patent and do it right, you can walk right up to them. So I gave it a try. There was a two point mule deer enjoying a salt-lick we had near camp to attract wildlife and I started after him. I guess it took an hour or so to walk up to him. He kept staring, dipping his head, and shifting his ears with a curious look on his face. Deer are reactive to movement, sound, and smell, so the trick is to be downwind, only moving when the deer isn’t looking—and be patient (and try not to laugh). I got to within ten feet and I gradually knelt down, took my little 110 out of my shirt pocket and took a whole roll of pictures. When I was done I moved a little hand wave and said “boo”. That deer bolted with an ass-over-tea-kettle stumble and off he went. Boom! I got back home when winter came and the film was missing. It’s a great story but I have no proof.

One difference between my story and religion; you can test the story for yourself and I am confident many if you could have similar results. Christianity has a story too, and if you test it you will see that it doesn’t add up in even one category or catch phrase.

I would like to find that film someday but no worries, I have honed the craft pretty well over the years. Unlike religion, it can be tested and demonstrated without excuse. Religions deferred method of responsibility is killing the planet. Nobody is coming to fix this, but unlike the deer, it won’t seem to go away with a hand wave and a boo. But like the deer, their colorblind to the obvious standing in front of them.

Crossing Wires of Religion

Abrahamic religion is like wiring a house—only backwards with no connections

Pulling wire for a house can go a couple of ways. Drill holes. Start at the panel and pull wire through all the holes to each room so each has its own circuit, or if it’s easier, start at the room and pull it back to the panel. Usually it works out to be a little bit of both.

Next, run wire to each outlet and light, connect all the hot with hot, neutrals to neutrals, and grounds to grounds so essentially every wire in the building meets up back at the source. Even little bits and pieces have to be connected or it interrupts the entire circuit. The final step after stapling everything in place is to install each breaker with the appropriate run and wire the panel. It has to look neat and organized so the inspector can understand what you did and pick out any apparent problems or mistakes you may have made. Very good idea to have another set of eyes check your work. It can be quite mesmerizing—a little like editing your own book.

Current flows from the source to each room and appliance, but currently abrahamic religion flows backwards, searching from each outlet, straining, reaching for a source of power that does not exist but in wishing. and disconnected from reality. Each denomination has its own style trying to connect. Their wires are crossed with dead-ends, gaps, looping circuits and shorts, all the while they swear it works! But alas, not one concept would pass inspection even from a casual observer with its contradicting catch phrases, scripture, and imaginary results. Explaining all you want will change nothing if it’s wrong. I am hoping this house wiring works—but just to make sure we are connecting everything using real wire and real electricity. And, if the inspector finds a mistake, I’d be happy to know about it.

All Things Eventually End (I Hope)

After 35 years the worlds largest testicle festival at rock creek lodge near Clinton Montana has been cancelled. Held annually with free camping and all the Rocky Mountain oysters you can eat with a full belly of beer, it attracted about 15,000 guests every September.

As with everything else, all good things come to an end. How is it Christianity can outlast this? Let’s compare—

  • Both have live music
  • Both have things that make you squint
  • Both have nauseating potential
  • Alcohol is served
  • Both sponsored campouts
  • One fills you with bull testicles
  • One fills you with bullshit
  • The testicle festival actually happened
  • Testicle festival slogan is “come have a ball”
  • Christianity mentally gets you by the balls
  • Testicles can cause a man not to think
  • Christianity causes every participant not to think—and that is the kicker. Religion has a wide scale dumbing process while the testicle festival only affects participants five days a year by having a ball. Tendergroin steaks, without the high stakes of religion. I’d take that trade.

I Will Give You Rest – A Continental Divide

I found it interesting while traveling through Idaho this week that the rest areas had these very comprehensive lists of rules.

The sign is posted inside the rest area after you already drive in, and is posted on the curb near parking. Chances are you have already broken a rule by merely entering the facility. The print was small (as you can see) and quite comprehensive. Even still, I never managed to read through them all. Rest areas are for drowsy drivers that need a break or have to pee.

You wouldn’t be surprised that this reminded me of the Bible. “Come unto me and I will give you rest” sounds pretty good, but make sure you take the time to read the horrors and the hate before rushing in. There’s a lot of reading should be advised for those that may be in a hurry to get some religious feel good. Abrahamic ideals of rest comes with a threat and a promise. Then, if you do actually read the whole thing and reject its barbarism, you will be accountable to suffer eternally.

After reading the rules of the road, or the religion, I guessed I’d be better off peeing on the side of the road, or finding my own place in life to rest. The sign above is a great example of what happens when you join a system.

The continental divide separates the nations water runoff. (Near Divide Montana)

Rainwater and rivers to the left of this sign flow to the pacific, while to the right is the Atlantic side. Similar to religion and sensibility, the two will never meet but steadily grow farther apart as they make their way.

Uninhabitable – The Idaho Wilds and Religion

Religious roads and avoiding trouble spots

Going for a long drive today thru Sunday to surprise my pops for his 85th birthday. To get to southern Utah from NE Washington I had a couple of choices—I-84 through Boise to I-15, or take the Idaho panhandle on I-90 crossing a good chunk of Montana, and finally back into SE Idaho on I-15. I’m staying in Blackfoot and have another 7 hours to drive after 10 hours today. So much of Idaho is uninhabitable for humans. 115 mountain ranges and 5 million acres, including the number 1 most remote place in the lower 48 states, means you have to avoid most of it and go around it. Central Idaho’s multiple rugged mountain ranges makes it a long, long drive. Without avoiding the tough places, it would be near impossible to get through it.

Religion has a similar story. If you stick with the easy roads and the good parts, it doesn’t sound like a bad trip. The catch phrases along with the kind stories and gentle scriptures hold little solace when comparing the “rest of the story” which is most of it. If you had to get to Utah through the wilderness of Idaho, chances are you’d never even attempt the trip. With religion, make sure you check out the bad parts first. If you do, you may just go another way altogether. The road around the truth is just a fraction of its roots.

verify most carefully, his book of words and then you’ll see, but by and by the search from me, had eyes that crossed with dotted tees and woeful were the histories. I read and pondered every verse, the lord it seemed he was a curse, that opened eyes on every verse” Jim

Quantum Retrocausality – Changing Truth

Quantum Retricausality demonstrates a strong link to Christian history

It is an important feature in Christianity that none of the writers or founders were present when the alleged events took place. Enough time had past that no living person had seen the events to dispute them with knowledge of fact, effectively changing the past by manipulating the future through choice dependent ignorance—a type and shadow of religious devotion and a real principle of physics that is where a decision is in front of you and you don’t know if you are going to choose “a” or choice “b” because you don’t know enough about the facts to make a choice. As you pause in limbo (ignorance is required at this phase) deciphering what little information you have to go by, history lays in the balance. Choice “a” is to make no changes, choice “b” is to make the change and accept the story. Note here that actual knowledge of the history (or of the partícle behavior) negates the effect of retrocausalityRetrocausality or Backwards causation is a concept of cause and effect where the effect precedes its cause in time. (1)

The magic with physics is being able to get your point across before people start sleeping, but brevity and physics are not friends, so bare with me.

Altering the parameters of the double slit experiment after its initiation can change the manifestation of the particle to a wave or viceversa—retroactively! The particles hold no virtue or predicability but behave in specific ways based on how or if they are observed. It is quite fascinating actually. Researchers have shown by interrupting or manipulating the experiment after the photons have been fired, changed the entangled electrons results after the readings were recorded by the device—yes, retroactively, meaning they are going back in time changing the record and the results. These particles and waves are not related to the handwaving, virtue signaling, interruptions, retroactive changes in the records embraced by apologetics, but it shows the origin of the behavior at the quantum level, and by so doing have effectively changed history for 2.5 billion people. Ignorance is the key to successful religion, and since ignorance is the prevailing m.o. to faith, it’s history can be changed and explained away without regret, literally to them, not in a figurative sense. Retroactive causality proves science can prove religion after all.

Modern Religion – Verifying Nonexistent Events By Revelation

By fine tuning something that never happened, pioneering prophets of religion have dug themselves in deeply.

Muhammad (pbuh) has rehashed the Moses story and added his own elaborate touches as revealed to him in a cave. Noah is praised by God in the Quran, which shows his great status with Muhammad (pbuh).

Others prophets have added to the Moses story as well, quoting and ad-libbing to the prophecies. Joseph Smith wrote an entire new book of Moses which also includes flood lore. The book Abraham also has flood details and well as the doctrine and covenants and Book of Mormon. And while inspired prophets recount the story year after year as though inspired by god, geology, archaeology, and good ol’ common sense is enough to debunk Noah’s Ark.

Fundamental Christians still teach Noah and Moses as though they’ve never seen the evidence against it. Mega church leader Joel Osteen has recent sermons confirming the ark story. Money does not mean intelligent. He also still preaches the Moses story and the exodus. Inspired? Like Ken Hamm? More like caught in the stream of fables and easily debunked bible stories that never happened. But, truth matters not if the outcome is a peaceably blind addiction to someone watching over you. They know it’s not true. They say our truth and morality is relativistic. Well theirs is irrelevant.

Proof their prophetic prowess is a hoax. The Jews have abandoned the Moses story and the exodus, bondage, buildings of brick, not stone (which don’t exist from the time) and the entire sensible world knows the ark story could not even be executed by our largest modern freighters and a thousand deck hands. If they were truly prophets, there’s no way they could have been blindsided by the facts that these events never happened.

Contracting Minors

When your individuality is determined by a set of pre-made choices and established dogma decided by committee or a single authoritarian you will never be your true self. You are achieving the ideals of another. Drinking age here is 21. Age of consent for baptism should be no less. How can one determine who they want to be as a baby, child, or even a young adult. Minors are not legally allowed to enter into contract, and aligning yourself before you can read the fine print should be discouraged by wise parenting. Joining anything that requires a process to withdrawal is forbidden everywhere—but religion. Joining the stamp club, having a bank account, or having your own gym membership where you can easily cancel and move on is illegal. Your name is always in the Catholic Church, regardless of your desire to disassociate. Saying the Shahada makes you a Muslim, but declaring disbelief is punishablelol by death in many countries, and eternal torment awaits your death “If anyone desires a religion other than Islam, never will it be accepted of him; and in the Hereafter, he will be in the ranks of those who have lost (their selves in the Hellfire).” (Quran 3:85) Hardly a contract for a minor to enter. I still don’t know what I want to be when I grow up. How can even one person make one rational decision about religion before they are an adult? Impossible!

Neuro-Cleansing

During waking hours our brains build up proteins and other waste. During sleep, brain cells shrink and cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) washes and rinses brain cells. The importance of sleep to maintain brain function is critical to life itself. Without sleep we die after a few days. Alzheimer’s and every other disease linked with dementia have one thing in common—sleep disorders.

During sleep our brains are flooded with CSF. Changes in brain cells size and debridement of unwanted toxins are flushed of beta-amyloids to maintain healthy function. During this time we are susceptible physically and mentally. Sleep is defined “a condition of body and mind such as that which typically recurs for several hours every night, in which the nervous system is relatively inactive, the eyes closed, the postural muscles relaxed, and consciousness practically suspended”

Microsleep is also fairly common, especially during monotonous times of work, driving, or periods of sleep deprivation. Dreams and revelations can be heard as well as audible voices and other sounds, right in the daytime without the knowledge of the subject having fallen asleep. I had an old packing buddy that would have these episodes frequently. It was amusing that he never recalled falling asleep.

One of the most popular LDS revelations came from Lorenzo Snow during a time of financial difficulty. The revelation on tithing came to the 85 year old leader after an exhausting trip to southern Utah in 1899. He went into trance at the pulpit while speaking, and that is the backbone of the Mormon tithing commitment. It all fits a microsleep scenario and dream.

Every day comes and goes and nearly a third of it is spent unconscious for the sole purpose of rejuvenation and cleaning. During this time of washing, or lack of cleansing due to irregular sleep patterns, we are physically and mentally susceptible. Flies can rest on your face and intruders can enter your home. During cerebral cleansing, unwanted waste is flooded over shrinking brain cells, stimulating all areas of the brain inducing dreams, nightmares, and visions. If you want to trust your dreams in this state and call it god, know that even people blind from birth often dream visually. Spectral Evidence (if you missed it) is the backbone of religion, and even people that have never seen, can see things that were never there. Trust that to revelation or a calling from a god? I think not. More like recalling a B horror movie in a nightmare.

Hypnagogia or Revelation

Explanations of near sleep hallucinations as a normal function of brain activity

Transition in and out of sleep often produces a wide variety of sensory experiences from several to one modalities. Most frequent, as in the case of my spouse, is auditory sounds. People will frequently hear their name called out or hear a loud clashing sound or a mild whisper. Knocking and loud bangs are also fairly common.

In my case I typically see down a fleeting, extending corridor. The images are sometimes clear, sometimes darkened, and as I become aware of them they disappear. Usually this is in color, but occasionally black and white. Once in a while they are very vivid hallucinations I can recall shortly after wakening, but usually not.

Thought processes on the edge of sleep tend to differ radically from those of ordinary wakefulness. For example, something that you agreed with in a state of Hypnagogia (excellent read) may seem completely ridiculous to you in an awake state. On a different direction though, many (including myself here) are able to solve problems in this state. Edison, Tesla, and other inventors have reported ideas or problems they have solved in this condition. The brain is fascinating!

Also, research has shown that during the hypnagogic state subjects are very open to suggestion and EEG readings show elevated responsiveness to sound around the onset of sleep.

Hypnagogic state is also frequently re-created with the use of psychedelic pharmacology. Very similar findings across the spectrum between near sleep and drug induced experiences create these visionary experiences.

Hypnagogic phenomena may also be interpreted as visions, OBE’s, astral glides, prophecies, premonitions, apparitions, or enlightenment, depending on the experiencers’ beliefs and those of their culture.

There are some famous hypnogogians who “heard” the voice within themselves; Abraham, Noah, Muhammad, Moses, Paul, Joseph Smith and so on. Happy to be living at a time where we have valid explanation for hallucinatory experience that precludes sleep. If there is a god, he’s right between your ears. It is us. Top that off with a little peyote or LSD and you’ve got yourself a church.

Hypnic Jerk – Admitting Atheism

How christians react to atheism is similar to the hypnic jerk found in primates.

Reactions to admitting atheism in certain circles displays age old evolutionary traits in our closest ancestors.

Hypnic Jerk is not a nickname for Christian apologists, but a sense of falling shortly after going to sleep. We’ve all had this happen after dozing off, then awake suddenly with a jerk sensation or startle. One theory is primates carry this reflex to keep them from falling out of trees. My theory is this; When the first primates became atheists, this was a reaction from other monkeys because one was not “falling” for the BS any longer. We still see it today. The mere mention of your atheism can cause the hypnic jerk, double take, raised eyebrows, blood pressure, heart rate changes, and fear.

Waking and realizing the fall was a false alarm, we drift back to sleep, which is right where they want us. Asleep to the reality that nothing they believe is reality. Asleep to the reality that nothing they teach adds up to anything credible. Asleep to the evidence that there is no evidence. Religious followers need a hypnic jerk to shake them, to wake them. Please, please, keep your hypnic jerks polished and ready to loan. If you start to fall for their nonsense, remember the evolution that got you here.

Geno-Phenotypes vs Religious Nurture- A change in Physiology

Comparing heredity to physiology and neurological changes from religious indoctrination from submitting your will to another power

I can’t help but notice from day to day how so many can completely ignore the contradictions of religion. Could it be faulty wiring, or are they compelled in some way by their physiology to align with obvious duplicity due to faulty programming? Where but institutionalized patients in state hospitals can you see such a broken bridge between reality versus what is believed? —Religious conditioning

A genotype is an organisms full hereditary information, while phenotype is the organisms actual observed properties. Additionally, an extended phenotype would include what the organism does, such as nest building for birds or dam building for beavers, who change their environment due to genetic programming.

Religious genotypes, phenotypes, and morphology could easily be expounded in analogy with more time, but your natural conclusion can easily see what I am alluding to. It’s obvious to everyone that has not been indoctrinated. The constant denial of the obvious is more than a decision to believe, but they are forced to ignore simple logic by physiology. Here’s how-

A key difference between a religious genotype and natural organic genotypes is one of nurture versus nature. While family traits can be passed on from generation to generation with no effort but copulation, religious traits must be routinely hammered into the newcomer without their choice or consent. After several years of indoctrination, subjects begin to take on the traits of the abuser parent and lose the natural discernment of contradiction due to shifted nueropathways. While religion through fertility is a common occurrence, retracting from nurtured thought duplicity is quite rare. The ability to ignore contradiction has become physiological.

Neurotheologist Dr. Andrew Newberg writes; “As to what’s going on in their brains, he says, “It depends to some degree on what the practice is.” Practices that involve concentrating on something over and over again, either through prayer or a mantra-based meditation, tend to activate the frontal lobes, the areas chiefly responsible for directing attention, modulating behavior, and expressing language.

In contrast, when practitioners surrender their will, such as when they speak in tongues or function as a medium activity decreases in their frontal lobes and increases in their thalamus, the tiny brain structure that regulates the flow of incoming sensory information to many parts of the brain. This suggests that their speech is being generated from some place other than the normal speech centers” The Metaphysical Mind

Research also shows that routines and habits actually create new neuro-pathways. A study in the Oct. 20 issue of Nature, led by Ann Graybiel of MIT’s McGovern Institute, now shows why. “Important neural activity patterns in a specific region of the brain change when habits are formed, change again when habits are broken, but quickly re-emerge when something rekindles an extinguished habit — routines that originally took great (pressure) effort to learn. We knew that neurons can change their firing patterns when habits are learned, but it is startling to find that these patterns reverse when the habit is lost, only to recur again as soon as something kicks off the habit again,” said Graybiel, who is also the Walter A. Rosenblith Professor of Neuroscience in MIT’s Department of Brain and Cognitive Sciences (BCS).

Forcing religious habits into young minds through repetition has a two-fold effect One, essentially taking away freewill of the indoctrinated, and two, manipulating/changing actual neuro-physiology in each subject. Undoing these manipulations requires a long break in the routine to readjust the neurons to achieve clarity.

“Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it”. Why? Because his neurophysiology has been manipulated—It almost takes a miracle, or some good luck.

Here again we see contradiction in the religion of freewill. They appear to be the ones without it. After physiological changes in the brain seal it by indoctrination and repetition, they simply cannot undo the connections. We would just as well teach a beaver to build a birds nest. No matter what you do, he’ll still end up back at the water.

When Did the God Legend Get So Inconceivable ?

Over my lifetime the size and scope of god has grown to unimaginable proportions. Here we explore why god has gotten so big in the minds of believers.

When did god evolve to this? I don’t remember it being this unimaginable back in the 70’s and 80’s. Why is their god so incomprehensible that a mere human cannot even imagine him? Is he incomprehensible or non-existent? Theists often end arguments by saying “God cannot be fathomed by mere humans.”

This is the Ad Hoc Argument that theists eventually provide if the discussion goes on long enough.  My god is mysterious and his ways and knowledge are to much for us to understand.  How arrogant we are to demand that god prove himself.

If a god is incomprehensible then it is of no value to us on a daily basis. If it is of no value then it’s existent is irrelevant.  If it’s existence is irrelevant then what kind of god is it?

Christians have run out of explanations. So much so they tap out with “god is unfathomable”, but the red writing in the Bible says otherwise.

“Jesus saith unto him, Have I been so long time with you, and yet hast thou not known me, Philip? he that hath seen me hath seen the Father; and how sayest thou then, Shew us the Father?” John‬ ‭14:9‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also: and from henceforth ye know him, and have seen him.” John‬ ‭14:7‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.” John‬ ‭5:37‬ ‭KJV‬‬

So he has a shape and he resembles his son. Go ahead with the metaphorical explanations, but I think Christian apologetic thinking has put their “personal” god out of argumental reach for either side. Am I the only one that has noticed this? According to the scripture it isn’t so, and I’m quite sure based on these verses I could comprehend him—if he was real. It is apparent Christianity is on the fringes of total deism with a tiny bit of jesus and a whole lot of denial. At least deism is a stepping stone to atheism.

Pro Choice and Bodily Autonomy

This is one of the best pro choice/women’s rights arguments I’ve heard.

“In our society, we grant bodily autonomy to all members of society. What this means is that you have no rights to my body and vice versa. We extend these rights to corpses. If I am not a registered organ donor, doctors cannot harvest organs from my body even if they would save the lives of multiple patients. Because my express permission was not given during my life, no one has the right to my organs after my death.

We can take this further. If my daughter is stricken with a disease and the only way for her to survive is for me to give her a kidney, I cannot be forced to do so. It may well be morally superior for me to do so and for my kids I would be willing to do so, but this is not a legal requirement. If my child needed to be connected to me via machine for six months to stay alive, I would again be under no legal obligation to undergo that procedure. While I may feel a moral (or other) obligation to undergo this procedure, I am in no legal way required to do so.

What this means is that a woman who is pregnant must consent to allow the fetus to use her body, and consent can be withdrawn at any time. If you deny this and thus force women to remain pregnant, you are literally—not figuratively, giving more bodily autonomy rights to a corpse than you are to a living woman”

Born Atheist, Raised Google Scholar

Wouldn’t that be an interesting way to start life? Resisting the herd is still a bit unnatural as a human. Our species is evolving away from the herds, but for now the majority stay in the current and follow the flow. Most of us (not all) were raised in religion and had to paddle our way upstream to take rest in a secluded inlet, shaded in the trees and out of view. Courage mounded alone in thought and after a little respite from religion we found clarity. Now, sitting in the comfort of our own spaces we watch the current carry the masses in a never ending flow that ends adrift in oceans of contradictions. But that’s all you knew so you defend it. After years and more of aimless bobs and sways, going nowhere, you realize that the bandwagon argument is the best case for religion. Everyone else can’t be wrong, can they? Alone as it should be, you are able to take courage—Alone. Outside the never ending wheel of explanations is where you find yourself. Alone is where you come to realize that yes, everyone else can be wrong, and for the first time in your life you become yourself. The walls that divide crumble down and we finally become us. The religion that promised everything delivered nothing. “Studies have shown that we’re prone to copying the body language of a person we’re speaking with, and some studies have concluded we experience the same emotions as the people around us”. Resist the herd! Here are some good and simple tips.

Find yourself, by yourself

God or Math

I suppose not much is more irritating than a Calvinist evangelical with advanced math, science, and theology degrees—and teaches university New Testament. Enter Vern Poythress..The argument is that mathematical laws, in order to be properly relied upon, must have attributes which indicate an origin in God. They are true everywhere (omnipresent), true always (eternal), cannot be defied or defeated (omnipotent), and are rational and have language characteristics (which makes them personal). Omnipresent, omnipotent, eternal, personal… Sounds like God. Math is an expression of the mind of God”.

I say 7+5=12 irrespective of a god, anywhere, anytime. The idea that we are explaining a completely incomprehensible being that has grown in grandeur to the point the faithful have given up, acquiesced to the level they cannot even comprehend comprehending. It’s a sad state of affairs when a myth overrides the desire to gain knowledge. “We lie when we claim that unexplainable things are in fact explainable. God is transcendent and beyond even the shadowy wisps of imagination in our finite minds. The Trinity, for instance, is not as simple as a metaphor of water (ice, water, steam) or an egg (shell, white, yoke). Sometimes I think we would be better off if we just said, “These ideas are so beyond me that if God did reveal them to me, I am pretty sure my brain would explode.” (1)

The line of reasoning in Christianity is defeat, and here we see the blind assignment of god to the trivial and the true, the obvious and the obscure—just because a unimaginable construct of human minds, that in itself is contradicted the moment we wonder about the nature of god. We disprove this unattainable jargon with imagination, theory, and testing. We have unlimited capacity to learn and understand. They just have no god to actually present. Christian faith promotes self defeatism of knowledge.

Augustine expressed interest in perfect numbers, which have a curious connection with Mersenne primes. A perfect number has the property that it equals the sum of its proper divisors. For example, the number 6 is perfect because its proper divisors are 1, 2, and 3, and 1 + 2 + 3 = 6.” Therefore, god had to create the earth in six days, not by planning, but because he had to. He had no choice but to be perfect. That is the line of connection faith deludes.

I say 6 is sequentially ordered after five and before seven because it is. Even before the universe came into existence it had “perfect” properties as perfect prime numbers do. There is no magic or god about it.

I can imagine a being so grand he controls billions of light years of space. He travels by mere thought in yonder galaxies checking in from time to time to see see if your burka covers enough or if you cut your hair. He helps when you need to find a contact lens, but turns his back on the hungry. He is deeply concerned if you play with yourself, but condones genocide using “divine command theory” to let his worshippers off the hook. Religion is a huge excuse for the masses to smugly sit back and administer cruelty because god said so. The only math I see that stems from religion is where divisions are multiplied. The mere fact that we can see we have a problem is hope that maybe we can fix it. At least that is on our side.

Islam, Moses, and Myth

So much of Judaism and Islam hinge on the story of Moses, and in Islam, Moses is mentioned more than any other prophet. Recent run-ins with Muslim proselytizers on WP have forced me to take a little look at the history and the doctrine of the Muslim faith. I have stuck to positive web sites and the Quran. Here’s a small bit of what I know.

Muslims hold Moses in very high regard. They have many stories of Moses’ life outside of the Old Testament and in the Quran he is mentioned a mere 115 times. I realize these stories are translations, but in general they read like Aesop’s Fables. Here is one;

According to Isra’iliyat hadith, during his childhood when Moses was playing on Pharaoh’s lap. He grabbed the Pharaoh’s beard, and also slapped him in his face. This action prompted the Pharaoh, to consider Moses as the Israelite who would overthrow him. In turn the Pharaoh wanted to kill Moses. The Pharaoh’s wife persuaded him not to, because he was an infant. Instead he decided to test Moses. Two plates were set before young Moses, one contained rubies and the other held glowing coals. Moses reached out for the rubies, but the angel Gabriel directed his hand to the coals. Moses grabbed a glowing coal and put it in his mouth, burning his tongue. After the incident Moses suffered from a speech defect, but was spared by the Pharaoh. (1)Go to historical narrative-

With so much riding on the story of Moses, I don’t think they got the memo that there is zero evidence that one word of it is true. They also teach the exodus (which didn’t happen) and the splitting of the sea. But from what they tell me, the Quran is infallible and ahead of its time. Here is a rebuttal persuasion from a Muslim on Mel’s site.

This is proof Muhammad was a prophet; 1- Creation of the universe: “Do the disbelievers not see that the heavens and the earth were joined together, then I split them apart?” (Quran 21:30) (is this allegorical, physical, or humanity?)

2- Mountains: “have we not made the earth an expanse and the mountains stakes” (Quran 78:6-7) (pure ambiguous evidence)

3- Aquatic origin: “And I created every living thing out of water” (Quran 21:30) (we are mostly water. Is this prophetic?)

Evidently number 1 is the Big Bang, 2 is geologic formation presented ahead of scientific knowledge of such things, and 3 is evolution. All based on the vision of a sheepherder according to the caller. But I suspect he was duped into believing the revelation about Moses and revelation didn’t cue him in that the story would be debunked. Also, as a casual observation it appears much of The Ten Commandments movie script is borrowed from the Quran more than the Bible.

One last note; The Quran is supposed to be read with the help of commentary and experts—sound familiar? It requires a lot of explaining.

Archeological studies have shifted from where and if, to when it happened. And the size and scope might just be a tad off. The best and closest event may be that Moses was an Egyptian priest that led a leper colony out of Egypt during the time of Akhenaten.

Why Islam? Is an Islamic site with Moses stories from the Quran if your curious.

Spectral Evidence

We explore the acceptance of spectral evidence pointing to a false evidence for god.

Spectral evidence was used in court during the Salem witch trials. If someone (which they did) testified that they saw the shape of a person in their room at night in a dream, it was as good as them actually being there. The council then determined that the shape of a person was the same as a person, even though they had alibis and were miles away. Also, if one had a dream with a black cat or a wolf, that too could be used as evidence against the persons spirit proving they had connections to witchcraft based solely on an accusation. This is still the mindset we are up against.

Believing you saw something that might be a vision, might be historical, might be god, might be true, can be shared with others and accounts as hard evidence to Christians everywhere. It doesn’t matter that it can be explained neurologically, or that it can be explained naturally as a bump in a road, or that it can be debunked with updated methods or knowledge, to superstitious believers of gods that is irrelevant.

Foundering

Too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Ships founder when overladen with good things, or when a load shifts positions in high seas. Any unforeseen problem can effect the vessel and cause it to list and wain, eventually sinking under its own weight. Poor design can also affect the ships performance.

Horses can founder when they consume too much spring grass containing too much Fructan. Fructan is a sugar stored in grass that is typically saved for future development of the plant and photosynthesis. During early morning and cool overcast conditions grass can contain too much of this sugar the horse cannot process. The Fructan builds up and passes to the large intestine where it creates lactic acid which then delaminates the hoof wall. Sort of a diabetic type process for horses where a sugar overload causes problems and then pH levels become acidotic. Again, what appears to be a normal pasture to most, is highly toxic to reality.

Religion is constantly switching positions and foundering as well. With too much psychological/chemical/neuro stimulation without reference to reality, feelings are easily manipulated by smooth talk and big promises. Promises that don’t match with reality. Too much bible skews perception and causes its adherents to narrowly assess life through a small prism of archaic contradiction and excuse for changing morals and long explanations of why it was ok. The answer is alway more bible, which entrances the mind, and like any single disciplinary approach, foundering occurs oblivious to the host. The key to understanding the mysteries is unbelief, which is why unbelief is condemned so highly in Abrahamic religion. Monotheism has no room for tolerance, and evidence contrary to faith is easily dismissed without second thought. This is not a virtue, it is an illness. What is thought of as the remedy, is actually the illness. Horses have to change their stance when foundering, which is exactly what we see in religion when things don’t add up. But god never changes? Hmm

Horse changing his stance to relieve the pain in the coffin bone and hoof from laminitis.

Eliciting Emotions—The Goal of Religion

How emotions are interpreted as spiritual experiences.

Subjective feelings cannot be observed; instead, the person experiencing the emotion must describe it to others, and each person’s description and interpretation of a feeling may be slightly different. For instance, two people falling in love will not experience or describe their feeling in exactly the same ways.

Physiological responses are the easiest part of emotion to measure because scientists have developed special tools to measure them. A pounding heart, sweating, blood rushing to the face, or the release of adrenaline and other hormones in response to a situation that creates intense emotion can all be measured with scientific accuracy.

People have very similar internal responses to the same emotion. For instance, regardless of age, race, or gender, when people are under stress, their bodies release adrenaline; this hormone helps prepare the body to either run away or fight, which is called the “fight or flight” reaction. Although the psychological part of emotions may be different for each feeling, several different emotions can produce the same physical reaction.

Lies also elicit emotion. Enter the public speaker, motivational speaker—the preacher. Clever wording and fabricated stories verbalized in just the right manner, accompanied with personal testimony of other “feelings”, such emotions are then described/assured to be the ‘Spirit of god‘ moving in them. Reassuring tones and velvety prose from the preacher (or downright showtime) who himself has been duped by his own physiology, demands that you need his brand of salvation through obedience, and to save all of mankind requires one thing—Money.

Money alone is the vehicle to reach out to the world, with small profits held aside to perpetuate the machine to the tune of billions. Mansions and jets setting popularity is but a mere byproduct of starvation and poverty. The stricken or afflicted of the world supply the fuel, while prayer apps and lying sermons bring it all back home in a circulus web of of a fouled downrigger, holding the bait and the fish at the bottom, drowning in a sea of lies fueling even more chemical reponses and fear of the reality of life and death, which is nothing like the warning signs suggest.

It’s actually the safest time in know history to be alive. People are also less religious than ever before. Makes ya wonder, doesn’t it?

Clinically Dead vs Biologically Dead

Clinical death occurs when the heart stops beating and the blood stops flowing. Clinical death precedes biological death by 4-6 minutes, whereas clinical death is reversible with intervention, but biological death is not.

Since religion is always the opposite of what we hear, so it is with its death. Christianity is biologically brain dead, but it’s members are pumping on the chest of the corpse and counting compressions as heart beats while claiming a code save. Not sure if you’ve ever done CPR, but it takes a lot of energy, resources and strength to keep a clinically dead person from slipping off into biologically dead. It’s a tiresome process that requires you pass off to other rescuers to keep compressions efficient.

Ceasing resuscitation efforts is difficult at times. Family and friends often urge you to keep trying, go one more round on the algorithms to get a shockable rhythm for a chance of spontaneous heart beat and respiration. At some point you have to call it off. Religion has been in asystole for quite some time, but the members are too attached and too full of need to recognize their beating a dead horse—one that is biologically and clinically dead. It’s time to lay this one to rest.

God is Shrinking

Denying evidence has the Christian god stuck on a Tilt-a-Whirl going round and round. The more science deniers deny, the smaller the gaps that give room for any god at all. Their god is shrinking. Science doesn’t know everything, but it does know quite a lot. Data continues to grow, and as it does, false premises and pseudoscience themes are stuck in first gear on a round pedal car track, re-explaining themselves over and over, honing the wording to satisfy religious sophistry and maintain fear in its loyals.

When worn out explanations keep repackaging themselves, never coming out of immaterial spirit (what is that) mode and dualism to explain the explainable when perfectly viable research and answers in neuroscience grow steadily year after year, the religion that has bound the minds of men for millennia is finally making its way out the door. Soon. Very soon.

The Bible cannot be taken literally any longer. It is far from inspired truth and those that cling to its allegorical power too will fade. Soon the Bible will only be found in the mythology section along side the rest of the immortals that have gone missing.

Titius-Bode Law- A Religious Type

Titius-Bode Law is a formula that suggests, extending outward, each planet would be approximately twice as far from the Sun as the one before. While the theory sounds intriguing, the six known planets at the time out to Saturn, only loosely followed the law (the theory was presented when there were only 6 known planets).

As more plantes were discovered, it was also discovered that the law didn’t accurately depict correct spacing. Neptune and Pluto, and the discovery of the asteroid belt removed Ceres from the list of planets as well, and the distant planets were way off the mark. It was time to abandoned the old premise and regroup. Turns out some of the planetary spacing is just coincidence and no real pattern is predictable. However, that doesn’t stop some circles from trying to prove its validity.

What was theorized to be true was changed and the journals are no longer accepting papers trying to prove Titius-Bode. I appreciate that about the scientific community. The ability to discover and rediscover in the quest for accuracy is more important than clinging to a false premise.

Religion too, has been superseded by knowledge. What was maybe the best explanation of its day in the life of an ancient sheep-herder, is not the best explanation today. Religion must employ faith and belief and promises they are unable to keep to hold any ground at all. We are at a crossroad, and as every belief in ancient gods has been met and eventually defeated, so too will the current models. Here’s to hoping it’s sooner than later. Just because something sounds good, and you wish it were true, doesn’t make it a reality.

The Mysteries

Nothing unravels the mysteries like unbelief. That is the key. They want us to believe, then have us solving unsolvable puzzles the rest of our lives that are easily thwarted without faith. They say with god all things are possible—the opposite is true as always.

The blinders of belief in god are the ultimate distraction to a fulfilling life. The mysteries of god are but a controlling distraction designed to waste time in conjecture. Religion is the divisive wedge that separates. It’s only complicated with faith in the absurdities of a god.

Modern Religion

To sum up what we’ve inherited—we have a machine we never asked for and have no idea who made it. We’ve never seen it actually do anything productive but curiously have no courage to turn it off. We see no actual usefulness for it, but are convinced forced to live with it at every turn in our life using up precious energy and thoughts. Attempts to disengage the machine are met with raised eyebrows, skepticism, and accusations of evil while those dependent on its psychological hold can’t seem to live without the constant hum of what they won’t believe they can’t live without. The machine has no actual usefulness. Its constant whir numbs the beauty of life with useless tinnitus and distraction, blocking human potential as waves of tv white-noise and cooling fans of the purposeless motor soothe the soul like a dripping faucet they are just to lazy to turn off.

Under careful examination decisions are made. Do I clip the red wire, or the white wire, or just live on hearing it do nothing but interfere with ones clarity. The best I can do is distance myself from the blast zone and hope it runs out of fuel.

Raised by Deception

If you observe even just a little and split through all the talk, things are rarely what you’ve been told. Most of our children begin their lives being deceived at every turn, hidden from realities while imaginations of santa, tooth fairies, Easter bunnies, birds and bees, and religious superstition are ingrained from birth. At what age are they supposed to think for themselves? But no, they carry it forward to their own children who are extremely trusting creatures and raise them in deception—Why?

Tom–”Yes, just about all of us were raised by deception, through deception. It is so very tragic, really. I had, in high school, one wonderful teacher who had us study Walt Whitman’s poems in depth. That one teacher was the exception. I am so very glad for it!

Toms Nature Up Close

Tom had one teacher he remembers that cut through the crap and helped him see things for what they were. Exposure to a great author that thought for himself changed his life from superstition to reality and fulfillment.

Gods Absolute Morality

Where do we find evidence that morality comes from god and not natural processes.

I was told in a comment section that gods absolute morality is only found in Christian faith. I asked him to name an absolute, unchanging moral truth of the Bible, and this was the closest he could go. “I’ll cite to you what seems to me to be about as near to an absolute moral statement as I can think of. In Matthew 12:31, Mark 3:29 and Luke 12:10 it is written that Jesus told people that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven in this world or the world to come”—But what if I have not received this Holy Spirit through revelation? I’m told my ego has kept me from accepting jesus.

It this the closest example of an absolute found in scripture. I would like to learn more. Something concrete and unchanging in the Bible’s exemplary moral standard.

The Good Shepard

Canaan Dog Breed

Keeping the flock together and protecting the sheep is the Shepard’s primary job. Most shepherds take care of sheep, although they may be responsible for goats as well. They often work in isolated areas and may work independently except for the assistance of herding or guard dogs.

The Canaan dog has a 3000 year history in the Middle East. Since the Shepard has derelict his duties in keeping the flock together, they frequently send out missionaries dogs to keep the herd together. The dog will say or do anything to return a sheep to the fold, and when resisted will resort to tactics of deceptive counter attacks and growls and even nips and verbal assault.

Propping terms like “The Good Shepard” would indicate a Shepard that has a tight flock, well protected, cared-for with medical needs, properly fed and trusted. How’s he doing? Remember, we never see what we hear when it comes to religion.

According to the Borgen Project, about 793 million people are starving in the world as we speak. Medical cost is the number one cause of financial ruin in the US, and worldwide more than 200 million children lack basic healthcare. Children of developing countries are twice as likely to die from treatable disease. Diarrhea is still a leading cause of death in many countries where 4 of 5 women lose at least one child before puberty.

He protects the flock—how many beheadings by Muslims are considered collateral damage too good to intervene for the just cause? The church is scattered with strange doctrines no-one group or person can agree on. Gods mercy is played with a blind eye of false hope and excuses with the wisdom of an abused spouse protecting her attacker. Gods bounty is shared amongst the wealthy nations that use manipulation and deceit in a system of cruelty and monetary deception to most of mankind, where the purveyors of faith sit on piles of hypocritical cash, leaving it to god to care for the poor, teaching them lessons they have no idea how to interpret. The children die a slow and torturous death for their own benefit though not a soul can figure out the riddle of why, but claim from the rooftops that god is good. Good for what?

So how is our Good Shepard doing? Even those that claim to be his sheep are in constant peril beneath his footstool. He has done nothing to protect even one person. Are things EVER what they say it is?

3% Neanderthal

A second high-def complete Neanderthal genome has been sequenced from a 52,000 year old bone found in the Vindija Cave in northern Croatia (take that young earthers) remarkably well preserved, it has a story to tell about its own immediate ancestry and living arrangements.

Other than native Africans that carry none, most people carry about 1-2% Neanderthal DNA, much more than originally thought possible. My daughters boyfriend just got his DNA results and found he is 3% Neanderthal—30% more than the high average. If he is just a glimpse of life as a Neanderthal, they were carefree, goofy, a little bit of Alfred E Neuman, and no care for the future or the present—Blissfully traipsing through life without existential fear of death and what lies beyond.

To date the earliest known encounter with modern humans out of Africa was about 100,000 years ago, then died out as an independent species about 30,000 years ago, while many scientists believe the arrival of modern humans aided in the extinction of Neanderthal. Weird. Seems to be a long standing trend. I wonder if it had something to do with Neanders inability to adapt to the superstitious man’s need to run everyone’s lives with unbelievable religion or your life is not worth living. A tradition that carried on well into the 21st century.

Religious Carbon Monoxide Poisoning.

Carbon Monoxide has a 250 times higher affinity to hemoglobin than Oxygen. CO poisoning can be fatal, and when poisoning is survived it takes about 6 hours to remove half the CO from your blood stream, then gradually over the course of days you release the rest. It bonds in the same place as an oxygen molecule, therefore limiting the bloods ability to carry enough oxygen to organs and tissue.

We are born as a blank slate, but during our youth we are susceptible creatures with a high affinity to believe what we are told. As superstitious as we are, a sudden realization eventually unfolds that we have been tricked along the way. From the birds and the bees to Santa, the Easter Bunny, and the tooth fairy, we are tricked as children at nearly every turn—especially when it comes to gods. Religious indoctrination has a high affinity to human thought, and even after calling BS on the whole game, it can take years to purge all the nonsensical belief from our systems. Religion is every bit as dangerous to our mental health as CO is to our physical. Although they both effect our lives in similar ways with irrational confusion, dizziness, nausea, and making you perpetually weak. I am confident you can hold your own just fine without believing in something phony that says you need it, but in reality is a curse to your development.

If you Think

If you believe your customs and traditions hold a moral value, consider the regional differences in Throat Singing.

One of the oldest forms of music, as reported by the Smithsonian Folk Ways, these three distinct styles also have interesting traditions forces associated with them.

Throats singing in Tuva, a remote region in Russia, NW of Mongolia is sung predominantly by men, based on the belief that such singing may cause infertility in women.

The Inuit of Northern Canada is performed almost exclusively by women, although throat-singing was banned in the area over 100 years ago by local Christian priests, it has recently made a comeback. I guess even throat-singing customs can be used as a control mechanism for religion. No infertility reported.

Xhosa throat singing of SE South Africa comes from the same area as Desmond Tutu and Nelson Mandela. It appears that they can sing just fine with or without the threat of the church or infertility.

Taboos and customs are typically amoral activities. What works well one place is often forbidden in others, as if there is a dividing line between right and wrong. Superstition and religion go hand in hand, Reason and Superstition Religion will never meet, as one is as different as Zion and Babylon. One foot in and one foot out will never do. Escaping religious indoctrination must be a complete severance if you ever want peace.

Self Awareness

You may not be what you think you are. You may not be as clever or adept as you think you are either. According to this study done at Cornell, people with the worst skills in the different areas of the study thought they performed the best, while those with the highest skill levels were also more accurate at estimating their ability. The mere fact that you are seeking and evaluating yourself as an individual, is a good sign that you may be a little more savvy than the average joe.

As an atheist, as well as most atheists I am aware of, we have gone through critical phases of self evaluation. We all wondered if we were crazy for doubting, crazy for believing, and sought answers to difficult dilemmas in contradictions of the gospel, then sought information outside of our indoctrinated upbringing.

Breaking away from the numbing effects of acquiescence when so many are rolling along in a near stupor of acceptance of a thousand things that add up to zero. Zero evidence that god is good, god is love, god is merciful, or god is in control. When compared to what is seen in the real world the opposite is true, “if” there was a god. Microanalysis of prayer to seek a smidgen of answers adds up to pure rationalization for its ineffectiveness, then we accept a non answer as gods will. What is gods will? Well, nobody really knows, but a lifetime of indoctrination leads us down the path of excuses.

The study concludes that all hope is not lost if you are one of the trouble spots. With education the numbers changed to a noticeable improvement, but how do you get someone stuck in the trap to look outside of what they already know, which apparently isn’t much when it comes to knowledge outside what they want to believe.

“It didn’t even help the poor performers to be given a benchmark. In a later study, the most incompetent participants still failed to realise they were bottom of the pack even when given feedback on the performance of others”.

Most of us have lived the religion side and learned enough to walk away. Maybe it’s time they walked in our shoes to determine if our views have merits, instead of hand waving and discrediting the reality that there is no god.

I Was Never Saved and Prayer has a Confirmed Victory

Gaylord (comment at your own risk) has just proven to me prayer works. He says “What you mistake for smugness is confidence in who God is. You were never really saved. It was 50 years of outward appearance but no spiritual substance. People do that all the time in church, just as Jesus showed us in the letters to the church in Revelation. God answers my prayers quite often. For example, we evangelicals who support the President have prayed for the plots against President Trump to be exposed and for the plots to backfire on the schemers. In recent weeks we’ve seen that happen with members of the deep state being demoted or fired from the DOJ or FBI and their plot being exposed”

“The Bible teaches that God moves in the affairs of men quite often. The deep state is trying to cover their shenanigans up, but God has moved in the hearts of some of the men and women in government agencies and in Congress to uncover their wicked plots. Deny the Lord’s hand all you wish, but he’ll continue to answer our prayers–just like he did when Trump moved the US Embassy to Jerusalem after Trump rightly acknowledged Jerusalem as Israel’s capital”.

Uh, men established modern day Israel, and now men have moved the embassy to Jerusalem.

God Works Through Doctors/Scientists

How Christians credit god for scientific advancement.

I’m sure god has already thought of everything, then at the right time to keep up with the needs of his children, he puts the thought “out there” for some laboring scientist heathen to have an “aha moment” of discovery, thus benefiting all mankind and saving the day—But, as always, too late.

So far 25million people have died from aids, and even amidst the prayers of Christian opposition we are making progress towards a cure. But I guess god knows best when to end a life here to spend the rest of the eons in hell. God is compassionate.

Roughly 8million cancer deaths per year, and WHO is anticipating 84million more deaths over the next 10 years. God has revealed the cure bit by bit, but research scientist are just to caught up foray of equations and just don’t get it. More prayer is needed for scientific clarity and also to justify the rise of childhood cancers. But, he knows best—He is kind.

In the 14th century god decided to take a half day off. The plague killed half the worlds population, and the discoveries by Yersin and the Simond led to eventual vaccinations and things stabilized—500 years later—Gods timing is perfect.

“If” there was a god, drip fed scientific advance and drip fed morality based on the demands of secularism is the ultimate in immorality. THE All knowing, all caring, always loving, and always dead last when it comes to human advances, especially in morality—God is just…Just what?

Ask Mel….god is obvious— He’s everywhere!! Yes I say. I see him for what he is, if he were real. Remember, faith NEVER adds up to what it’s propped up to be when you look past the whitewashing

Perpetual Motion Machine

The search for an endless, free energy source has been discovered and as usual, it’s been under our noses for quite some time, or in this case, our fingertips.

Christian apologists have been recruited GE Office Systems for developing a hands-on, in-home prototype using electricity generating keyboards. Since there is no end in sight to the rhetoric and excuses generated, apologists in key population bases have been scheduled to present their arguments for god during “peak voltage demand” based on their time zones. Each apologist will receive metered credits on their power bills, and substation attendants will receive overtime for after hours, long winded diatribes when keystrokes exceed power demand.

While the current prototype generates a substantial, unintelligible-vacuum sound, is is anticipated to blend in nicely with the already numbing tones that whisk their way across the world at light speed from existing modems. As existing arguments for god are at a millennials-long standstill, frustration has trended upward only raising the flurry of apologetic banter.

UnerTan and Religion- Comparing Biology

Closed systems often have dramatic implications. Small villages where locals continue to mingle with locals, leads to inbreeding and can offset your balance centers in equilibrium and cognition. While closed systems vary in degree, each has its own problematic framework, whether its physical or spiritual in nature.

While not my attempt to make light of Uner Tan syndrome, the example is on the far end of what closed systems can do to the biology of a small group. “What is causing this disease? Scientists noticed a trend with many cases: The children’s parents share the same blood.  In the Arab culture it is common to marry in your bloodline.  It’s called consanguinity (shared blood).  Consanguinity makes you more prone to genetic disorders.  In the Ulas family, the parents are cousins“—Medical Daily

Being raised safely and securely in the confines of a religious home, faith also carries a host of cognitive and rational decision making barriers. The inability to see the obvious, or the ability to overlook tremendous flaws in your approach to thinking soundly comes from these closed systems. The dichotomy between stunted potential and growth in reality creates a barrier to analytic thought, and the ability to immediately dismiss any information contrary to what you have been taught. This phenomenon known as “spiritual bypass”, is a defense and coping mechanism, protecting one from dealing with uncomfortable truth. If you missed yesterday’s link, HERE it is again, but the two topics overlap in significance.

We see it in our area and here on WP. What is so absolutely obvious can be glossed over and dismissed without a whimper, leaving us befuddled and shaking heads. But, at least we can cope with the dilemma having a little understanding of what we’re up against. Closed, one line dogmas that belittle outside influences is the prime detractor of free thought.

Some Insight to Onslaught Blinders

You know how you know something and just don’t know what to call it? Thank you NeptunesDolphins for the insight and tip. “It is called spiritual bypassing, a concept from the 1970s, when several social scientists noticed people were getting in and out of Buddhism. They noticed people were looking for that spiritual high but were taking the cafeteria approach so they didn’t have to bother with the hard stuff. Such as actually dealing with the religion warts and all”.

How is it believers can just dismiss the warts of religion like they don’t exist? From Psychology TodaySpiritual bypass is a defense mechanism. Although the defense looks a lot prettier than other defenses, it serves the same purpose. Spiritual bypass shields us from the truth, it disconnects us from our feelings, and helps us avoid the big picture. It is more about checking out than checking in—and the difference is so subtle that we usually don’t even know we are doing it.

Insanity Bites

She says “I am a total conspiratress, love thinking outside the box, unraveling mysteries, discovering what is lurking beneath the surface.

Loves thinking outside the box so much that she has joined the free, lockstep, mindless thought of 80% of the U.S population. Looking below the surface? Then how can you possibly adhere to religion other than a blind willingness to follow the masses—in your own, outside the box way? Once you decide to believe in obvious nonsense, all reason is tossed out, followed by absurd accusations that the rest of us just don’t get it. She’s wrong. We do get it, we just don’t buy it.

Here is the first comment on the thread, and yes, the masses historically have been wrong before.

To insist that 80% of people, those claiming to believe in God, even loosely, are just indoctrinated, victims of an elaborate conspiracy, all part of a great Christian hoax, is just symptomatic of some really flawed thinking.”
Hey, sometimes it takes a while for some of to get up to speed

Looking Gift Horses or Licking

Mom used to always say, “Never lick a gift horse in the mouth”. She was from Mississippi, so there was a little bit lost in translation. I didn’t know “lick”, was “look” until I was about 20. But is it good to take a gift horse without looking it over first? Usually gift horses have something wrong, and often expensively so.

Looking in the mouth can help you approximate the age and feeding ability. Do the teeth need floating or other care you may not be able to afford? If the horse is 35 and not 25, it’s going to die soon and that’s a whole series of problems when you have to deal with a thousand pound carcass. If your gift horse is a cow-hocked, ring-boned, spavined and foundered, maybe it best you don’t accept the gift after checking it out. Enter Religion.

It too is a “free” gift of salvation from sin. Sin you didn’t even know you had. Pointing out faults is a great way to make friends. Free to attend meetings and they’ll even throw in a free bible if you ask. But maybe first you should look under the hood? It is a money trick, and if you don’t “look”, be ready to take your “licks” when you find what’s below the surface. Just remember what free actually means to them, when to be in good standing you eventually have to pay. And you have to check your thinking cap in at the door. They’ll even tell you what to say, and everything else to believe. Don’t take my word for it, but do your own checking and remember if it’s a good deal, it will still be a good deal after you check it out. Missionaries will never tell you what the internet can.

Simplicity of Non Belief

How unbelief is more believable.

I am curious to know how it all happened, I’m just not convinced in any way it was a who that made it happen. Therefore, there is no why it all happened. Once you realize there is no god, the simplicity of life brings peace, and how it all happened loses its urgency, although I am still curious and will someday have more answers. I’ll wait rather than believe in a god to simply satisfy the impatience to want answers with no effort, then act like they’ve found something special in a plug-n-play religion. “I believe” is a foolish notion lacking quality of character.

Confusion Conversion and Christology

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!” Isaiah‬ ‭5:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬ —

Who tells you one thing while you see another? Whoever wrote this was keen to the preachers word games. Don’t be afraid to look for yourself and see things as they are. Nothing adds up to what the preachers say. The church is the corruption. And it always has been. Look at Matthew 23. Somebody wrote that, and it’s about the clergy. Nothing has changed—

The more I read the pastor, the more I’m convinced he is using Chris Langan’s “CMTU, Cognitive-Theoretic Model of the Universe or, “theory of everything”. The theory is difficult to understand at best, and focuses much on incoherent contradiction and terms that the pastor-blogger has adapted to—”confuse readers to believers” platform. It’s heavy on causation and trying to explain itself with itself, or “reality is a language that is talking to itself about itself” type speak.

Langan has an IQ of 200, the highest intelligence quotient score currently in the USA and 7th highest IQ ever recorded. It might take a little time just to understand the summary, but you’ll see terms like ontological and incoherence are big in the theory. I think Mel is using a physics theory hiding behind the computer screen, trying to apply this to his God, and much of the theory can’t even adequately be applied to science. But he does talk an impressive tone.

This is a decent breakdown of the theory. I do believe you been caught peeking pastor.

Twisted terms and confusion reigns, ontologically worded games, to separate the wheat and tares, will take more words that few can stare.

Even irony has lost its track, for some there is no turning back, as good is evil and evils grand, there’s no theology we can understand.

Customer Service

I had to buy another mattress. It’s always sticker shock when it comes to this overpriced foam, but I bit the bullet. We’ve bought 6 mattresses at this same store over the last 2 years since it’s the closest and usually have some good closeout models that work fine for us.

I got a follow up phone call today to thank me for the purchase and being a loyal customer. It was a voice recording from Houston, Texas. “Thank you for your recent purchase at ——. We value your business and appreciate you shopping with us”. It then went on to try to sell me more items. Really? A recording? The same message every shopper in the USA gets? Wow. Thanks.

I am used to hearing the same messages though. Enter religion. How many different messages have we heard to sell the same story? Over and over fighting battles we’ve already won, but enough uneducated new blood takes our place and buys their faith crap with conviction. If they can just word it right, maybe I’ll get it? Selling what is equivalent to any non functioning piece of equipment with a bow on it to make it look better than it is. Once you tear it apart to try and see how it works, buyers remorse kicks in. Only the buyer continues to excuse the seller. What a business model that is! Faith is selling your soul and your sensibility to a used car salesman that rocks the sales floor, but continues to sell lemons. We need a religions lemon law, with a money back guarantee when the truth is discovered.

Old Skill and Wisdom

Some of you know I am writing a book about some of my previous experiences and the history that prevailed in the area. I can’t help but be in complete awe of the skill and fortitude of the men that mapped the Pacific Northwest. We easily take for granted the raw practical knowledge of the times. Here one map from the area circa 1901. These contours and elevations are still used today and extremely accurate. On foot. Unbelievable.

Today we have a lot of information, but knowledge is fleeting. How many alive today could produce a map like this? Really quite astonishing when you think about it.

I remember during the same generation that these maps were created, Ernest Shackleton took a lifeboat 800 miles across the Weddell Sea to rescue his men. He had a handful of sunny days and a sextant to measure the horizon and some charts, then crash-landed his boat on the wrong side of South Georgia island. The Weddell Sea is essentially the headwinds of the world and some of the most treacherous waters on the planet —Remarkable use of practical knowledge to say the least.

Mark Twain also is from the same time period, and though not a surveyor or explorer, possessed equally savvy smarts in history and knowledge of the ways of the world. He was every bit as skilled as Shackletons navigation or A.E. Murlin was at topography. He was raised in a time of fierce religious revival, but was smart enough to call BS on religion —and see what was obvious in front of him, instead of listening to salesman with a blank bill of goods and a promise. While reading “Letters from the Earth” it has occurred to me to trust your good senses and if you compare it to some form of practical knowledge, you’ll see it for what it is. Look around you, and don’t be afraid to see things as they really are. Twain didn’t buy into the delusion of faith, and neither am I.

Christians Needed

Sponsors of a double blind study on healing faith are searching for healthy christian volunteers to apply etiological methods to find causation of Conviction Syndrome. Religious conviction rarely never coincides with truth, as faith and fact are diametrically opposing forces. Conviction Syndrome has maintained pandemic proportions for millennia and its time to do a reality check. I had a patient one time tell me she was supposed to be taking placebo, but she was out and that’s why she was calling the ambulance. Mama did raise a fool, now didn’t she?

Chess Club vs Religious Faith

According to Chess.com, there are an estimated 600,000,000 active chess players in the world. There are various club styles and sizes, but through the modern ages, chess has maintained a relatively stable membership size. The tactics can be aggressive, and teach skills in strategy, memory, reasoning, and trickery. In the past 1500 years, there have been no chess related mass suicides, even though popular figures have been emulated and copied to achieve the highest understanding of the game. Thanks to the internet and the availability of high level competition, there are currently almost 1600 grand masters; The most in history. Differing opening styles of play like the Ruy Lopez, Sicilian Defense, and the Queens Gambit are copied and transformed by players into a sophisticated middle game the world over. Enter Religion.

Each sect begins with the same opening, but over time develop their own styles and middle game. The board becomes confusing, incoherent, incongruous with normal play or known styles of happy living, but the purveyors of the game insist that they know what they are doing. It is obvious going into the end game, that each of the 45,000 denominations are floundering in a checkers game, but insist they are still playing chess. They are using scrabble terminology to play spiritual ouija, and as confusion is their friend, they keep you at bay with guessing and grand terminology the normal person cannot keep up with and keep a regular job at the same time. Thank you Mel.

While the Koolaid is flat with inert, non beneficial ingredients and the the flavor confusing, the end game is still the same as a Jonestown child. Only now they are sipping their way to intellectual confusion and the death of reason using faith in nothing but religious wordiness and sophistry. Here’s to a quick end game.

Paddling Restraints

If Christian educators would have their way, paddles would be rehung behind every teachers desk in America. Once again, man’s morals have surpassed gods morals and archaic scripture condoning bad parenting. “Spare the rod or spoil the child” is a ridiculous force of wills, but is still a mainstay around the country and memes surface daily wishing back the practice to force kids to conform or else, to respecting without questioning. At what age do you want your kids to start thinking for themselves and becoming themselves, instead of kowtowing to religious based authority? 15? That’s the number where you can be yourself. Or is it 18? All of the sudden you can question and claim independence, while all along it should have been a process. Cultural norms frequently have no moral ground, and many traditions in manners are often rooted in religious belief and reverent servitude. Get rid of that, and there is a near total relief from corporal punishment. Hitting and bullying your kids to live up to your ideals of faith, is not only wrong headed, but principally unsound. Granted we all make mistakes, but those mistakes should not become routines.

Data also shows that spanking is ineffective as statistics show lower SAT scores in every state that allows paddling and physical threats.

Just because you were raised that way, doesn’t mean there is not a better way. Be humble. You might be wrong. Why do they tout free will then take it away by force? What many are doing is taking away the creativity and natural instinct of the creature, and trying to pigeonhole him to conformity, when what we really need is more individual creativity of thought. Kids will surprise the hell out of you given the chance to expand in their best ways.

Beating children is a sure sign of bad teaching or parenting. There is a better way if you look. And while demanding respect through force may seem necessary, the reality is force is a divisive tool that promulgates resentment and frequently lifetime scarring.

Rubidium

Rubidium is an alkali metal with an atomic weight of 85.4678. The half life of rubidium is 49 billion years, meaning it will take approximately 3 times longer for it to be worth half its value, than the universe itself is old. The universe has been dated by multiple disciplinary studies at 13.799 billion years old, +/- 20 million years has been the consensus of averages. Using observations of decay rates and math, we see how old each element is and can project its duration.

Through new research techniques, rubidium was discovered in 1861 using flame spectroscopy. Prior to then it was unknown. It was found by two men that used multiple techniques to imitially detect and name the unknown element just by looking. -Enter Religion.

Religion has a known objective. Discovering god has been a focus of more people than any other project in the history of the world, Billions of people, including scientists, have sought evidence of god and have come up empty. -Nothing. Yet we can easily find many other elements that were unknown, just by looking. Imagine for a moment that those billions of searchers, were actually applying themselves to reality? Where could we go? Advances have only begun recently, by very few people, pressing forward in spite of religion, and will continue to do so. Religion has had its day and failed. Time to move on to making this world a better world without time waning failed religious oppression.

The Sting

The success of a good con is greatly dependent on the “mark” or marks being unaware that they have been duped. If you remember the movie, they faked their own death in the end to seal the deal on the con, and shift the blame to another – The police. In this case they used guns, but it is an ageless tale, and if done right it can work every time. The surviving victims of the scam then tell the story in their own way to create an urban legend, and its corroborated by the fake police that were in on the deal. I saw this movie. (3min) at a drive-in when I was a kid. I wonder where they got the idea?

Newman and Redford are making me feel my age. Recently I turned 55. This movie came out in 1973 when I was ten. Jeez

Bonzippa and the Religious Model

When I was a kid my neighbor and I got into dirt biking. I started out buying a minibike with money I had saved from a paper route. It was a 1970 honda 50 trail bike that I would like to have back about now. Later I got a TM100, and at 15 I got a CR 125. Screaming machine!

My neighbors dad Mr-T, is an old blues guitarist, friends with the late BB King, and I learned to play on his wine red Gibson ES330, the most beautiful guitar on planet earth. Anyway, when I rode my moto to his house he would call me Bonzippa. “Who’s Bonzippa” I asked. He explained who this character was, and it described something like this photo below.

This “Bonzippa” would ride wheelies and speed around the country like a mad man. Mr-T would always tell stories about crazy things this moto nut would do on his bike, and I would try to imitate it the best I could. Later, I told my kids about Bonzippa, and referred to them in the same adoring, storytelling manner until Bonzippa was as real to them as he was to me. -Enter the internet.

Turns out there are no google hits that I can find anywhere for Bonzippa. He didn’t exist. Mr-T made it up, and I passed it on, all the while telling my kids about the heroic riding of the great Bonzippa. It would be a great story, but nothing more. -Enter Religion

How far can story telling can go in my little world? Imagine if Mr-T had a pulpit and ten minutes of fame? Religion is expert and storytelling lies to induce positive feelings with fables. “Go te into the world, and preach my gospel”. Say whatever you want, just link it to Jesus and it will be so.

Houses

Some of you interested in building, Here are 5 houses I’ve completed in order

Panama House. 71 Camino Riosalto

And this last one is hard to get a pic since it’s nestled in the trees.

I didn’t build the garage. I had that done just before winter.

And here’s the house I just started for my daughter and her family. They are moving up here to the in June!’ Happy

And this sits on a basement.

Floor then the door Monday. It’s coming along.

Blood Oaths

When I was twenty I went to the LDS temple for what is called an endowment. In Mormon lingo, the endowment is where you receive your “spiritual gifts”, that enable you to pass the sentinels and enter the presence of god. Washed and anointed with oil, pronounced clean and blessed to be a “king and a priest unto the most high god, to rule and reign in the house of Israel forever” The endowment ceremony is about an hour and a half where you rehash the creation!story and make various covenants that are sworn to secrecy with signs, special handshakes, and followed by an oath to never reveal the signs and tokens or suffer your life to be taken. As you made the oath, you symbolically slit your own throat in one phase, and disembowel yourself in the other. All the while wearing the robes of the priesthood and a fig leaf apron to cover your nakedness.

Besides having to agree to all the covenants by acting out a blood oath it happens BEFORE YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT THEY ARE. It was shockingly strange, but you move along to the veil and use those key words, signs, and tokens to pass through and enter the presence of god in the “celestial ” room. Hushed tones and reverence rule, and discussing these things is vague and symbolic in nature. Everyone around you congratulating you and telling you how wonderful it is. It wasn’t. But, trusting those that have gone on before, convinced that you just lack understanding, and being reassured that the more times you go (the next times in behalf of the deceased that missed this opportunity) the more you understand the wonderful significance of it all.

To anyone who thinks this is even remotely normal, you have a problem. The ceremony now, some 35 years later, has been dumbed down to be less offensive, but the one I went through had already been lightened several times before. The initial ceremony was vastly more ghastly, but as times changed, so did people’s ability to tolerate it. While some fought the changes, apparently god is changing how important this is to have it exactly right.

Mormon culture is a persuasive closed system, where open criticism is the road to apostasy, and questions about anything inside the approved doctrines are unwelcome.

In most cases (mine being extremely rare where my wife left with me) the mere mention of unbelief deems you an outcast, failing your priesthood and your family. Tell your wife and extended family you don’t believe, and you are told to pray, study, do not doubt, trust me, trust us, and the fear of hell from denying your testimony, losing every friend, spouse, kids, and practically every sense of your life is on the chopping block. I have one friend left after 50 years of church. But it was worth it.

Psychological Fact; Casting Away Your Burdens Works

“Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee.”

‭‭Psalms‬ ‭55:22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Several years ago after a painful divorce I was going through a very rough time. It was bleeding over into my work and my trouble coping had reached a point I didn’t know what to do. I went to see a psychologist. He was a family therapist and had a good reputation. The very first visit, he had me write down all my problems on paper. He told me I have only one hour a day to deal with it in an efficient manner. the rest of the time was off limits. Then, after my time was up I was instructed burn the paper. Then, as issues arose, I could write them down the next day on a fresh piece of paper so I wouldn’t forget, then deal with them again in the next allotted hour.

I only had to do it once. This ceremonial and symbolic gesture is a way of releasing your burdens, and sending them away, back into the universe or wherever they go, or essentially destroying them from your psyche.

Enter the church. The churches play on your human psychology to cause a release of burden and troubles that can be accomplished easily in a routine therapy session, or even on your own if you know the technique. First, be convinced you are worthless and filled with sin.

1. Confess all your sins or troubles

2. Write them down (during the scrutinies)

3. Shift away the burden in a symbolic gesture or absolution. Allowing “Christ” or the priest to take away your troubles.

In the Bible the same principle applies using a scapegoat, in which an animal is ritually burdened with the sins of others is then driven away. The concept first appears in Leviticus, in which a goat is designated to be cast into the desert to carry away the sins of the community.

When you do this inside of a church doctrine, in a counselors office, or privately at home, the troubles you are facing leave you feeling freedom from what ails you. It simply works.

It is the same reason I burned all my religious items and books when I left the faith. I walked away and never had an ounce of remorse about the decision one time. -No lamenting needed. When someone feels the burdens lifted in a ceremonial confession, it is not a god that is relieving you! It is you, ridding yourself of unwanted trouble and walking away. Nothing more. In the Catholic Church, priests have become overburdened with reconciliations turning into counseling sessions. For those that use it, it becomes addictive. Humans are fairly complex creatures. I am not sure about the psychology of how in the neurons this works exactly, but the churches have mastered it and use it every single day. Get it all out! Confess regularly, cast your burdens to the lord and it makes you feel good. Nothing has actually changed, but it is a mental correction that affects us in a positive way and people swear by it. In the LDS, confession is a regular occurrence in the bishops office, and that works as well.

Save yourself 10% and cut out the middle man. You got this!

Agenda Driven Earth Day

As a Christian earth day was touted as another oppressive tactic by the left to raise taxes and submit personal freedoms. The right wing propagandize it as a ‘hippie-dancing-around-the-may-pole’ pagan earth worship day. My church stayed neutral officially, but the overtones were obvious enough to cause discussion amongst the members. Wow! How wrong they were! Earth day has been a tremendous success! I was in first grade on the very first earth day I can remember. We planted a tree in the courtyard of our new school, all as a group we surrounded the event and it was a fun moment. I cannot really tell you anything else that happened in first grade. Go plant a tree! Create a memory. Love your home and show it. I have planted numerous trees since that first day. Happy Earth Day!!

Much more on earth day origins here with Eileen Thanks for the idea.

K-Y Jelly – A Christian Model

K-Y Jelly, a product of Johnson and Johnson, developed in 1904 as a surgical lubricant, quickly found its way as a multi use product. Hollywood makeup artist use the jelly in the horror-movie industry. Special effects technicians like Stan Winston and Rob Bottin use the jelly to create a “slimy” appearance for monster puppet effects.

K-Y Jelly is also used clinically to perform prostate examinations in men and gynecological examinations in women. For prostate exams, physicians use K-Y Jelly to lubricate a finger to ease insertion into the rectum for prostate assessment. A similar process is used in the pelvic and recto-pelvic exams in women.

The product is also widely used as a sexual lubricant. It does not react with condoms or rubber-based sex toys. While K-Y has a thick consistency and a tendency to dry out during use, it can be “reactivated” by the addition of saliva or more water.

Christianity also was invented with a single purpose, but quickly induced other untoward effects and diminished cognitive abilities. Initially, faith was thought only to cause warm and fuzzy feelings, but quickly was used to penetrate six continents. Also, 80% of infected parties developed SORTS, (stupor of rational thought syndrome), where they would blindly go along with fairy tales, as well as follow their leaders to inflict misery on unsuspecting indigenous genotypes. Also noted in double blind case study 3-16, gullibility increased ten fold. Absorption ratios to PBS* increased to alarming level, where christian faithful were seventy times more likely to believe anything they were told of a supernatural, or conspiratorial nature. The Faithful tend to accept whatever they are told from specially designed pulpits, to the point where K-Y has been essential for parishioners to just bend over and take it. And while the speaker reaps his eternal reward in cash, the congregates will still have to wait postmortem to see any benefits.

Letter to Mark Twain

dear mr clemans, after reading part of your book, ‘Letters From the Earth’, I think you are a disgusting man. I know your real name, and I am warning all of my good christian neighbers not to read this gross expose’ of our god. We cannot, and will not allow you to espouse such truths and spread your cancerous words into the puritan ears of this community. We demand you retract your words.

The fact that heaven is composed of all the things we hate is true, but only for now. Who are we to judge gods wisdom. The fact that all of the things we love are absent is true, but only for now. I imagine that endless harp music and choirs singing praises to God might seem like a torture to you, but god knows what is best for us. If he says it will make me happy, I believe him, regardless of the apparent absurdity of eternal noise and worship. You see where you are lacking mr clemens? You have no faith. Faith is where I get to decide what is true. Faith will let me live in eternity with god and be happy with no intellect. It is intellect that has caused you to own these blasphemous truths. Your words are temporary mr clemens, but gods word are eternal. You are a dirty man exposing the christian heaven as a sexless heaven. You are a heathen now, and probably have sex for fun, but god knows what is best for us. If he needs to manipulate our natural tendencies to control the heathens, then I trust god to do so. We won’t need these things in heaven because we will be wrapped in jesus’ arms in eternal embrace, singing and praising god, and bathing his feet in our tears of joy, while you mr clemens, will be in hell.

75 cents for this 1962 edition. Best $6 I’ve ever spent. Should be mandatory reading for all.

God Is Love.. What is Love?

My wife is super cool. She goes out of her way to do things for me, is a hard worker and manages the family like a pro. Every day she tells me she loves me, and every day she is there, doing things that ease my life and make it better.

If she told me she loved me, did nothing to show it, laid around for years on end telling me how inadequate I am and worthless without her, all the while doing nothing herself, I would not believe that she actually loved me. Saying it is not enough. Love is an action verb. It is nice to say, but without any effort or action, it is null.

God is love. Spoken from every pulpit in Christianity like a broken record. What this means, is you need to love others for god to get any credit. If you do nothing, like God personally, then gods love is absent. Why doesn’t he do any of the loving himself? Why doesn’t he feed the poor, but counts on us to do it for him? He is all powerful, yet nothing. But, if you go out of your way to help someone, he gets the glory, even if your an atheist.

The words are great, that god is love, but history has shown since the beginning, that god does not love, that god is absent, and that the preachers are counting on you, from the beginning, because he has refused countless times to do it himself. Or he simply is not real, and never has been.

Don’t forget to look around. Things in religion rarely show themselves as they say, and requires continual words to prop it up.

How Pretending is a Bigger Problem

Hush tones and inside jokes, comments like “I’m not racist but”, “hey look at that”, and pass judgement on people you have no idea about their history or what type of person they are. Saw it all the time in the faith. This is their way of life. One must be good with the lord watching you, surveying us 24 hours a day, even in our sleep, and even the hushed tones are not exempt from the ears of the lord. Below is a terrific quote. Some of this is new to me, so forgive me if this is old news.

“Some people I know who are atheists will say they wish they could believe it. Some people I know who are former believers say they wish they could have their old faith back; they miss it. I don’t understand this at all. I think it’s an excellent thing that there’s no reason to believe in the absurd propositions I admittedly, rather briefly, rehearsed to you.

The main reason for this, I think, is that it is a totalitarian belief. It is the wish to be a slave. It is the desire that there be an unalterable, unchallengeable tyrannical authority, who can convict you of thought crime while you are asleep. Who can subject you — who MUST indeed subject you — to a total surveillance, around the clock, every waking and sleeping minute of your life — I say of your life; before you’re born, and even worse (and where the real fun begins), after you’re dead. A celestial North Korea. Who wants this to be true? Who but a slave desires such a ghastly fate?

I’ve been to North Korea. It has a dead man as its president. Kim Jong-il is only the head of the party and head of the army; he’s not head of the government or the state. That office belongs to his deceased father, Kim Il-sung. It’s a necrocracy, a thanatocracy — it’s one short of the Trinity, I might add. The son is the reincarnation of the father. It is the most revolting, and utter, and absolute, and heartless tyranny the human species has ever evolved.

But at LEAST you can fucking DIE and leave North Korea. Does the Qur’an or the Bible offer you that liberty? No! No, the tyranny, the misery, the utter ownership of your entire personality, the smashing of your individuality, only begins at the point of death. This is evil; this is a wicked preachment.” – Christopher Hitchens

So they continue. They present a pious side while secretly living as you or I might, but the constant life of deception carries over into laws, and schools, and the solid footing of Christianity is all built on hiding the true self. PRETENDING. Never show the real you, and it is a habit of deception and farce because they are being watched. Dress the part, play the part, speak softly and hide your pious racism, but keep touting that you and the faith are well.

Behold My Hands and My Feet, Jesus We Have a Problem

“But they were terrified and affrighted, and supposed that they had seen a spirit. And he said unto them, Why are ye troubled? and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? Behold my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me have.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭24:37-39‬ ‭KJV‬‬

37 billion acres of land and an estimated 108 billion modern humans have populated the earth.

That about 10 resurrected zombies per habitable hectare after the return of the jesus. Here’s the problem though.

According to scripture, the mainstream views, and along with our example of Jesus having scars in his hands and feet, the consensus is one of trouble. It is truly zombi-ish in all accounts. “An hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs will hear His voice, and will come forth

We will have the same bodies.

There are many Scriptural reasons for believing that we will be raised with the same body that died. First, Christ was raised in the same body He had before He died. We know this because the tomb was empty (Luke 24:1-6) and because His resurrected body retained scars from the crucifixion (John 20:25, 27). Since Christ’s resurrection is the pattern that our resurrection will follow (Philippians 3:20-21; 1 Cor. 15:49), then we will also be raised with the same body.

But what about Cremated or exploded wartime bodies. This is going to be interesting.

“If” any of it were true, his followers are looking for another season of walking dead, where the maimed, and the halt, and the disfigured roam around for 8 octillion years, loving each other and carrying gunnysacks full of the totally dismembered and cremated living.

And since the pope says all animals will be in heaven too, look like it will be standing room only.

The “Holy”Rivers

This, by Professor Taboo, five years ago is more relevant today than ever before. “Over at least the last four centuries the Holy River has become the most polluted river in the world.  The very children, who suckle from her spiritual nipples, turn around and contaminate the very milk from which they suck oblivious to how tainted their holy water has become from the headwater of the Himalayas to the poisonous outfall into the Bay of Bengal. See the whole story HERE. It won’t disappoint and it applies to the entire planet today in an alarming way. Great work and effort here!

Faith

The best meme I’ve seen for a long time. “And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭17:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

And civilizations, and witches, and mentally ill, and children, and women, and indigenous tribes and adulterers, and….

Who Are You Really? Real de a Ocho

Of what mind am I? How many people are living a conditioned life that is not really them? I have been thinking about this very topic a lot lately, and very few know how to identify who they really are outside of groupthink doctrines and dogmas. Look at our political alignments. Social media is very telling about this, as there are only two ways presented and fought over. Whenever I see this, I remember something I learned many years ago from a professor I admired. Whenever you are given two choices, they are usually both wrong. This deceptive technique has numbed the minds of the masses. What party are you? What religion are you? Coke or Pepsi? Both are cans full of chemicals designed to taste good, but are unhealthy. Do you ever listen to music from other countries? Much of the best stuff never gets heard because we are marketed and influenced at every turn, and individuality is usually styles between two or three choices. Who are we really, without the news, the preachers, and the marketers? Breakthroughs are usual arduous and painful. Self awareness and growth must, at some point be achieved away from the influencers and the noise, and in the quiet of your own mind. Religions remind me of the old Spanish “pieces of eight”, or Real de a Ocho. All pieces come from the same coin, are made of the same material. While very old, some of these are in better shape than others and considered more valuable, but they are still coins. And when a choice is placed before you, it very likely two sides of the same coin. While one may be slightly better than the other, we are typically given two wrong choices, and forced to pick sides, when we’d rather not choose at all. I’m tired of taking sides.

Dogs and Cats Work for Food

Obviously the title can be used in a dual sense, but I have a confession. Through no fault of my own, I have eaten dog and cat, and a lot of it too. I had no idea at the time, but back in the 80’s on Monday nights for a few years, my family would meet at a Chinese restaurant and have a little get together. The food was always good, and Monday’s were usually quiet for our gathering. One day I was watching the news, and there was our restaurant on the receiving end animal cruelty charges, with a dumpster full of dog and cat carcasses at the rear of the store. Apparently this had been going on for quite some time. It was too late to throw up, but I wished I could. Becoming aware of the situation changed everything. I was sickened by it and was obligated to never return.

Now imagine for a moment the church is a beautiful cake. One adorned with lavish decorations and frosting so smooth it looks polished. You hear many in the room talking about how perfect and wonderful it is, but as you cut into it, you find foreskins from murdered people, an eye, a tooth, some throwing stones surrounding a cross, and some parrot heads still beckoning you to eat. From a distance, the crowd still praising the baker, and inviting more into the room to experience the magical moment and witness this once in a lifetime masterpiece. From a distance, all you can see is the people surrounding, blocking from your view the disgusting display. Protecting you from seeing what lays just below the surface.

I dare every religious loyal to share the gospel from the inside out without explanation or excuse, and then see how many converts you have. I want you to indoctrinate your children with the murderous genocide, rape and oppression, instead of protecting their minds from these events with fakebelieve [sic] bible cartoons until they are old enough, and buried so far in it that they have no idea how to climb out. I know those topics don’t surface, because you know it’s wrong. Point out the obvious contradictions the churches display, instead of all is well during the divisive indoctrination. That would be the honest approach. When your favorite church is exposed as a cesspool, will you walk away, or keep eating because you keep hearing how wonderful it is? You are not obligated to return, but do what is right.

Buckminster Fuller

Buckminster Fuller impacted my life. I just didn’t know it at the time. Some short lessons — I AM NOW CLOSE TO 88 and I am confident that the only thing important about me is that I am an average healthy human. I am also a living case history of a thoroughly documented, half-century, search-and-research project designed to discover what, if anything, an unknown, moneyless individual, with a dependent wife and newborn child, might be able to do effectively on behalf of all humanity that could not be accomplished by great nations, great religions or private enterprise, no matter how rich or powerfully armed”.

If you’d like more click HERE

“From now on you need never await temporal attestation to your thought. You think the truth. You do not have the right to eliminate yourself. You do not belong to you. You belong to Universe. Your significance will remain forever obscure to you, but you may assume that you are fulfilling your role if you apply yourself to converting your experiences to the highest advantage of others”.

“I live on Earth at present, and I don’t know what I am. I know that I am not a category. I am not a thing—a noun. I seem to be a verb, an evolutionary process—an integral function of the universe.”

Disappearing Hate

How many deconverts of religion have turned to divisive, discriminatory speech and hate groups? How many are condemning alternate lifestyles and supporting religious laws to ban women’s rights? How many choose to impose their lack of belief on others by going door to door, or casting stones at immorality, while practicing immoralities. None. That’s because when people leave religion, and think on their own accord, sometimes for the first time in their life, they speak in support of freedom and fairness and equality to all. That is who I believe people really are. It is the churches and their stiff indoctrinations that separates, setting themselves above others with “inspired” lines drawn in the sand of divisiveness. I know some of us struggle to make all the changes at once, but by and by, love is found. Fairness is found. Equality and acceptance are found. And for many, it is the first time in their lives they have thought their own thought, said their own words, speak what they have learned, and not what they have been told. And it is good. Very good.

Belief and faith are strange ills. They are contrary to open dialog and contrary to real problem solving. They are driven by fear and supported by groups such as ADF and others. The propaganda from the pulpits is a powerful sermon from gods anointed, but the thoughts people have and the words they speak are not theirs. They are the churches.

I am very optimistic about the future, as I know that the hearts of the people are good. Their minds have been sealed off by faith, but the real person inside is good, and when they finally leave religion behind, like waking from a long stuporous dream, 100% of them return to true love and equality. That’s a pretty impressive number to have hope in.

“Early Storm Sky”

Atheism As A Side Job

We all have real lives and are real people. In our spare time we call out the contradictions of religion, its woes and deficiencies, while the minister is fighting for his livelihood.

There lies the chasm between reason and unreason. Who wouldn’t defend their business, promoting it as a competent force to make it the best it can be. Religion is a business the same as Taco Bell or Apple. If you knew the politics and civil wars in the Congo over tantalite deposits to build a smart phone, you would know why Samsung, Apple, and Google don’t promote that dirty side of the business.

The preachers do the same. Show the good stuff, and get one committed before the deep and dirty comes to the surface. We have come to depend on smart phones, so we look the other way. Religion is a business, and those that have invested in it will look the other way, because they see no other way to resolve the dilemma. Religion is as toxic as a Chinese landfill, and it’s tolerated poisons are overlooked due to invested time and money. Under this parklike setting sits the dirty remnants of a past religious shimmering light, but is nothing more than topsoil and grass covering mounds of miserable history, control, cover-up and cruelty.

Busy Days

Building a house next door for my daughter and her family. The shop is almost done, and the house foundation is half set up with the inside panel in, and half the rebar tied. Footings were poured yesterday. Gonna be a beauty.

8 foot basement walls are too much to do alone. We hired this part.

30 foot x 40 foot garage. Sunset tonight from the property.

Accidental Amoebas and Neti Pots

The popular nasal flushing Neti Pot, also seems to be a nesting pot for the Amoeba. Homemade nasal flush with non medical grade saline or tap water can be breeding ground for the amoeba, and nasal irrigation is a quick pathway to the brain. Amoebas and brains do not mix well, causing slow miserable death to the victim, and eventual death to the amoeba.

Another popular toy that has devastating effect on the human mind is religion. What may seem harmless, or even recreational, claims to solve life’s problems, but in reality only creates more problems. Hey, why limit yourself to an amoeba, when you can prolong your misery with religion?

Or, you can have both. Then you can try out the efficacy of prayer and see if that will kill the amoebas. Make it quick though, it’s hard to pray through a feeding tube. Be skeptical of what goes into your mind. Religion poisons human potential.

No Limits

Outside of the climbing community, you may have never heard of Brooke Raboutou. She is 17 now, and in the climbing world is a seasoned veteran. Before age 12 she had 7 world records and was among the top .001% of the climbing community.

Great achievements are fought for and won by pushing ahead, challenging the norms, and breaking through stereotypes and accepted rolls. Religion is the exact opposite. You can spend your entire life trying to prove some event happened in the past that is based on drip fed morals, gender restrictions, and denying ones self worth without a god. Or, you can blaze new trails, climb to new heights, explore new ideas, and make something great. Spending your life immersed in the faith of something that has proven to be a failure in advancing human kind is going away. Yes!

Here is a video Brooke did at age 11 when she already had 7 world record climbs.

Solving Problems – A Christian Model

George Dantzig recalls his story “It happened because during my first year at Berkeley I arrived late one day at one of [Jerzy] Neyman’s classes. On the blackboard there were two (math) problems that I assumed had been assigned for homework. I copied them down. A few days later I apologized to Neyman for taking so long to do the homework — the problems seemed to be a little harder than usual. I asked him if he still wanted it. He told me to throw it on his desk. I did so reluctantly because his desk was covered with such a heap of papers that I feared my homework would be lost there forever. About six weeks later, one Sunday morning about eight o’clock, [my wife] Anne and I were awakened by someone banging on our front door. It was Neyman. He rushed in with papers in hand, all excited: “I’ve just written an introduction to one of your papers. Read it so I can send it out right away for publication.” For a minute I had no idea what he was talking about. To make a long story short, the problems on the blackboard that I had solved thinking they were homework were in fact two famous unsolved problems in statistics.

A year later, when I began to worry about a thesis topic, Neyman just shrugged and told me to wrap the two problems in a binder and he would accept them as my thesis.

Suppose Dantzig had been on time for class, and heard the news that the problems were unsolvable?

Christianity is an expert at pigeonholing it’s members that the problems can’t be solved. Waiting for the messiah to solve them, or being trained from birth that without god you are nothing. Prayer and hope are nothing but disabling crutches for the masses to restrict human potential by waiting. It needs to stop.

Years later George was told by a friend that he heard his story from the preacher at church. It was so embellished that it was hardly recognizable. Weird huh?

Pretty Cool

Nothing’s Changed. All is Well. Well?

The manifesto of the LDS church, says “The Lord will never permit any Prophet of this Church to lead you astray”. I guess not allowing children of gay couples to be members of the church slips in behind this prophecy. It is hurtful, and one of many missteps of the church leadership. Spending most of my life in the church, hearing is believing when it comes to the faith, and only approved sources will suffice. I have been out a few years now, but yesterday I ran across this thread on FB, and the sheep are alive and well. These comments are in response to a book recently published about problems with Mormon culture.

“Read the conference talks and follow church leaders first”

“Honestly, I think you’re getting a bit big for your britches. I am looking for messengers from my father. I’ll be passing on this one and sticking to authorized church publications”

“None of you seem to understand anything about the problem with this … these writings are identifying a perceived issue with LDS society / culture and pronouncing a fix … This is exactly squarely in the realm of why we have a prophet and apostles … it is their key job … Do any of you ever wonder why a man not called to the position would choose to do the exact job our church leaders are called to do … To espouse this mans work is a full on admission that our leaders and by extension Jesus Christ failed to give us “ enough “ information or the “ whole “ story … Were I to write a book or dissertation the last place on earth I would seek a subject is in the realm squarely where our church leaders operate … like I would have some “ additional “ information to add … but this is where this man feels he needs to operate”

Heaven forbid if your narrow bubble of belief should be challenged, scrutinized, or improved upon. If and when you decide to take a real and honest look at what your doing, leave me a note so I can help with your new atheist blog.

Horace Eye

Although this is fairly new to me, I thought this quite interesting to think on, and wondered if anyone else has run across this. Deeply inspiring or convincing someone in such a way to cause conversion by apparent supernatural means, appears to have been understood by the Egyptians prior to our time. Conversion takes place when the senses are overloaded, and a feeling, many times indescribable, causes belief, faith, understanding or enlightenment. This can be done in several ways, through truth, through deception, lies, and medications, during emotional and traumatic experiences. Not sure if you’re aware of this, but there is a completely different realm of enlightenment associated with this, and it may be the sole source of spiritual awakening, thought, and inspiration. The Horace eye is nearly identical to the hippocampus of the human brain, and is composed of the five senses surrounding the pineal gland, which interprets light and darkness and houses serotonin as a precursor to secrete melatonin to regulate sleep patterns. Surely can’t cover all of this in a few minutes, but when thought of in this manner, spirituality takes on an entirely new spectrum. Rene Descartes believed the pineal gland to be the “principal seat of the soul, and the Egyptians used this story of Horace and the symbol to remind where enlightenment comes from, When activated, the pineal gland causes a sensation of euphoria and oneness, or wholeness. I have thought for some time now, the power that is called god, and the ability to spiritualize ourselves, likely comes from within. Neurotheology advances will surely be including this deep seated and mysterious part of the brain. In modern times, pineal calcification and atrophy are believed to be more advanced than in earlier times. Prior to pineal atrophy, I’m just imaging what might have been, when our pineal glands were larger and possible healthier. Still a lot to learn.

Synesthesia -The Religious Model

Synesthesia is a real condition of crossing senses. Someone may see a color that hurts their ears, while another may see numbers in different colors. It is an interesting phenomenon where senses cross neurons in visual/cerebral perception, and may attribute smells to pain, or shapes such as a triangle may physically perceptually be seen in yellow. Below is one example. A “normal” acuity would see all black, but a synesthesia patient may see green or red. .

And if a subject sees W’s as a color, this test takes less than a second.

Synesthesia is not only seen and present in religion, it is promoted. Seeing a cross can cause tears of pain or joy, hearing a lie can cause belief, and talking out loud followed by an amen, can fondle hope in religious subjects. But this type of behavior is learned, and once believed, it is tolerated.

While most synesthesics feel what they are seeing as normal , 98% of the population sees it as an enigma. To someone that believes in the supernatural god, it may seem natural or necessary, but it is not. But to the theist or the synesthesiac, it requires an outside observer to recognize the flaw.

Thousands of gods have dissipated into near oblivion. Where are they now? They are parked in the annuls and history books, but those from the time thought them to be immortal. While red may be a color, it also may have a smell. Whatever your eyesight tells your mind, deconversion has a sweet ring to it.

The Other Creative Mel. Not Wild

It seems the name Mel is a trigger for creativity. Mel Blanc, the versatile, multi-voiced actor who breathed life into such cartoon characters as Bugs Bunny, Woody Woodpecker, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Tweety Pie, Sylvester and the Road Runner. In the 1960’s he also contributed to the Flinstones, and in that series he did the voices for both Barney Rubble, the dull-witted neighbor of Fred and Wilma Flintstone, and Dino, the Flintstones’ pet dinosaur. Quite a Wild array of voices.

The other Mel has his own array of cartoon characters in his supporting cast, that also breathes life into the make believe world of faith. How can you go wrong with the likes of InsanityBites, BrainYawn, ColorStorm, Wally, and of course, the main man himself Melvin Wild. While Mel only does his own voice, what comes out is an array of changing character roles and dogma, slipping down the slope to deism as his pet Brainyawn clings to his voiceovers like a parasitic twin mimicking the change as he attempts to keep up, memorizing the bias with the skill of a used car man.

And creativity? Wow!! Threads that confluence, eddy about, upstream, downstream, over the falls and back up again, all the wild is woven into a masterpiece of contradiction and code winks, reaching for the safety line of obscurity, in the belief that blanket vagueness will stop the easily defeated beliefs, that his god is the god, and still fail to explain the why.

Deconversion Science- A New Element

The periodic table has a new element. Chemist at International Labs London (ILL), have discovered a new compound derived from basic, inert, random samples of ambiguous contradictory neurologic impasses. Failed synapse syndrome, (FSS) has been baffling neuroscience for decades, and removal of this newly discovered element is as easy as flipping a switch in the affected religious parties. Element “B” has an atomic mass and weight of zero, carries no electrons, but has a high affinity to synaptic dead space. Early studies show removal of element B causes instant cognitive restoration, and eliminates test subjects ability to rationalize obvious contradiction.

Test subject volunteers from the Four Square Church and the United States Bible Belt have seen instant results using a osmotic reverse cerebral cleanse, applied in a suppository pill form. Atomizers are currently being developed for nasal administration.

Evangelical chemists at Godwins institute dispute the veracity of the claims, and have directed the institutes science department to consult with Hindu Vedas and Puranas experts to counter the findings. “We know god is in there somewhere”, said one researcher. And, “this Biblio element makes no sense at all” said another. The plea for help dealing with these scientific issues has been ignored.

Basic Botany-The Christian Model

Each plant, no matter how simple, requires several elements to maintain health to grow to maturity and become useful. See the chart below, as each part plays a role in getting good health to the table.

Mental health is the same way, but one large segment of our society seems to think the one ingredient approach will lead to happiness, so one element it is. Bible. It has no mental nutrition. It is filled with fabled hear say and less net caloric benefit to the brain then chewing gum. It keeps your mind and thought separate from reality, and poses contradictions that drain the mind of creativity and rationale. It does polish your ability to make excuses though, which is why the Bible Belt leads the nation in obesity. Spiritually fattened cells store noxious, venomous rhetoric that is useless to society when dormant, and a drag on society when it’s not. Here below is the problem.

The Christian literary diet contains 66 books, all with the same ingredients, and videos about the books. It’s the equivalent of trying to live on cotton candy. It looks good, has flavor, but has no nutrition and is never filling. For desired mental health and balance, one ingredient is a disaster, growing pretentious brains unable to see clear or decipher fallacy and deception, and live in fear. But it certainly makes one “think”, they know it all. The cure? That’s easy, but it’s hard, as the medicine requires one to broaden their mind, while having a small mind. Very challenging. Realizing your potential requires one to reach out and yearn to learn about the world around us. It’s ok to try it. There’s a lot of brain food available, you just have to take it in.

Twenty Minutes

I did this analysis twenty years ago with an apologist mindset, then I went on to explain how for god this was fair. I’ll let you judge for yourself, as my hairsplitting defense of gods wisdom overshadowed sensibility.

But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.”

2 Peter‬ ‭3:8‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If a one day to the lord is like a thousand years, and a thousand years is like a day, the average human living 70 years, has roughly 20 minutes of the lords time to decide his eternal fate here on earth. Some much less time, while others just a bit more. Hardly seems like a fair enough amount of time, considering about 7 minutes of that is spent sleeping, 7 is spent working, 5 is basic living, recreation, sex, weekends, vacations, family time, schooling, and so forth. Probably about 1-2 minutes thinking about religion and scripture. Decide quick! Take no chances. Go with the flow, and don’t forget to tithe!! Making love takes about twenty minutes on average I guess, so shouting out jesus at this time may count towards confessing. But don’t shout to early.

“If” any of this were true, how could judgement and sentencing for eternity be fair based on Bible math?

Raised in Religion, Born a Heathen

This theme has popped up a few times this week, so I thought it worth a look. Apparently all the apologetics and convincing in all the world is another contradiction. God chooses you to be his servant, you cannot choose him. He will appear to you in some form or another and make you his believer. “Many are called, but few are chosen” (MT 22.14) and you were chosen and anointed even before you were even born. (Jer 1:5)When I hear Christians tell me that I was never truly converted or I would have never left, I just had to laugh. I was a “by the book” obedient servant, and called upon god daily, read the Bible and kept the commandments. Repented often, and he never came. I was a heathen, born to a religious family. I wasn’t called. Two of my brothers are heathens too, for they never felt god call them. They were smarter than me, and bailed young, but my parents were so proud of “the good son”, I couldn’t let them down. But I never felt it either. I had convinced myself, but no light came on. “Big day for a chosen servant of God comes when God reveals Himself to His servant for the first time and sends her/him. God comes Himself; He does not send anyone” Article Here. This is just one of countless Christian articles on this topic. So, until god shows up, you are all off the religious hooks, so to say, and I commend you for your goodness without god. And apologetics is pointless, proverbial bs, with the end game a predictable neurotheological response. In your head. This is another point to set one above the other with a smugness and a wink, “that you know”, and people do lie, and say they have felt it too because of peer pressure and personal inadequacy. A psychological card is played at this point. “But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God; for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.” The natural man is the unbeliever. So the word of God is telling us, unbelievers cannot receive in and believe in the spiritual truths that lead to salvation. The spiritual truths include such things as Jesus dying for sin, Jesus being God in flesh, Jesus physically resurrected from the dead, etc. An unbeliever can understand the concept, but an unbeliever does not accept them and received them. So, if a person who claims to be Christian acknowledges these types of spiritual things, that is a sign of his regeneration. Only regenerated people are saved”. Anyone in the church care to admit they are not a saved one? Tell me I can’t understand until I believe, is a mind game to pad the rolls of the churches. Now that I have left, how can it possibly matter since I was never selected in the first place? “He may appear in His countenance or you hear His voice call and speak to you”. So until that happens… Adieu.

Rude Mofos

Apologetics budding superstar Sheldon Agonson, has taken my statements and converted to mainstream apologetics. I am not angry with his twisting and lying and misplacing my words to analyze them out of context. I am sorry for his soul, as he, like so many before him have proven that lying and twisting is the only convincing argument for Jesus. An update was added to Websterss in line 2. I know, I was warned to stay away, and you were all correct in your advisories. But I’m happy to have another brother in hell to look over to Lazarus and Abraham, across that gulf of misery and lament eternity with me. Hell is for the heathen, but the servants in hell will be the liars. The only reason he would lie the way he has, is he knows there is no hell, and his need for dominating validation has trumped his senses. He continues to play from apologetics 101, and baiting accusations to attract endless replies to pad the stats bar for his two readers. This is either intentional, his reading comprehension is elementary, or English is his second language. I’m willing to give a pass if needed. Sheldon, in one post you have done what most apologist do in three. You have tagged atheism in your post, gleefully stating you were happy to have someone argumentative to call you out on your babbling accusations about atheist laziness to argue with you. Cherry picked points and ignored convincing arguments on morality. Sheldon, you keep saying you want an answer. The answers were given in the first paragraph. You may not like my writing style, but the answer you seek was given plainly. And lastly, you keep directing the comments to your site. Control is key for apologists. Editing and keeping control of the argument on your turf isn’t smart. It’s weak. You know damn well your comments would get eaten alive by our readers, and you hid in the confines of control. Hope you’re better than that with your family, but alas… that is the Christian male working in you. Once again, humanist morality outshines the god of the Bible and his followers. You have repeatedly accused me of attacking the church. Fact checking and quoting scripture is damning to the church on its own merits. I don’t need to attack. A careful reading of scripture shows your roots. And your bias can only be confirmed when you agree with its morality.

A Logical Version

Because of the sin of Adam and Eve death came into the world, and the resurrection of Jesus was supposed to reverse the “wages of sin which is death, and grant immortality and eternal life. If the story of Jesus were true, after his death and resurrection showed the victory over the grave, everyone should automatically be immortal. No more death. Wouldn’t that be the logical conclusion?

Anybody want some crazy?

Here is my final comment to a post here This is a little like Mel, but narrower. Here’s my final reply. We’ll see if it moderates.

Difficult for you to see the humor,

Once I was in your shoes,

Everything so serious,

So much of you to lose,

So much time invested,

In the fable you call god,

That good sense out the window,

Won’t call a fraud a fraud,

For if I may I’ll be so bold,

And try to do with tact,

But everything your selling off,

Has everything but fact,

It has the how’s with maybe’s,

Conjectured ambiguity,

Guesses based on hopes and dreams,

Fails you in realities,

Your quick to point a finger,

But observations firm,

Don’t forget to look around you,

There is so much more to learn,

The books you read are narrow points,

Funnels dropped of religious care,

But faith requires no good sense,

As lone disciplines can attest,

A skewed vision of life and love,

You think you have it all,

Your good book’s made your messy mind,

And you want me to take the fall,

I may not have all the answers yet,

With that I’m not concerned,

With your head shoved so far up your ass,

You’ll fail where others learned.

Technology Updates

TCA Science Update 3-31-2018

Mental health experts in co-dependency and Nano-3D printing technology has inadvertently discovered through reverse engineering models of human brains, an isolated cerebral diencephalic, mini-cortex tissue they are calling “the gullible region”. Under intense magnification, scientists have found what appears to be a pointless bridge denoting a cross-configured, double conjectured loop where archaic information is stored and transferred, restricting adrenal output and limiting “fight or flight” capabilities during religious indoctrination. Using accelerated computer models to view time-lapse evolutionary advancement, it was noted in 35% of test subjects that, “thought processes contrary to adhered beliefs actually atrophies the bridge”, allowing the subject to think for himself and gain immediate discernment. As 3D nano printers advance, coupled with microwave synthesis, researchers are certain a co-dependency cure will be forthcoming, and will soon be as routine as a lasix procedure. “Crossing the blood- brain barrier is the next step in nano research”, as for now a small incision is required. “Think of it as an uncircumcision incision, that is much less invasive than the purported benefits”.

“Prove all things, hold fast to that which is good” 1Thess 5:21

It’s not the churches. I can tell you Christianity is a calculated, money making machine that will say Anything to keep you on the rolls. Scientifically calculated music and lighting, voice roll speeches and lies from the pulpit to induce trance-like positive feelings and call it the spirit.

Most of you know my story, and I put this scripture to the rest. Not one thing works as it’s presented. Ambiguous beliefs and morality coupled with endless attempts to validate faith, and bogus prayer that is a waste of time. It was even in the dogma. “Pray like everything depends on god, work like everything depends on you”. Do yourself a favor….just skip the first part and go to work. The entire church experience is a propped up shell game of non answers and conflicting “beliefs” from every denomination. Nothing can be verified, and nothing works as it is supposed to. So go ahead. “Prove all things; hold fast that which is good.”Don’t feel guilty for looking.

Other Gods and YHWY Terrorism

Today is the 2,900th anniversary of the alter massacres. In honor of all the priests of Baal, we remember the victims of this blatant act of terrorism.

Here’s a quick summary of Elijah and the 450 priest of Baal. Elijah summons them all to gather around the alter for a little friendly God competition. If you all win, we worship Baal, if I win, we worship the LORD. Each team puts a bullock on the alter. First, the priests of Baal try to call down fire from heaven to burn their offering and nothing happens. Then Elijah digs trenches around his alter, soaks all the wood with sixteen barrels of “water“, And the water ran round about the altar; and he filled the trench also with water.”1 Kings‬ ‭18:35‬ ‭

Then the fire of (the Lord) fell, and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench.”1 Kings‬ ‭18:35, 38‬ ‭KJV‬‬ -parenthesis added.

This explosion sounds more like a total set up of a terrorist plot using militarized chemicals of the day, and could have easily been performed. 9th century BCE, had plenty of war developed technology with the use of oils, lime and sulfur and others were known in the region to light water on fire .

My guess is water in the pit with some “special” religious seasonings added to it, then a flaming arrow from afar, But no matter, the victors write the history, and after the alter was consumed they rounded up the 450 priests and murdered them (leave no witnesses) And Elijah said unto them, Take the prophets of Baal; let not one of them escape. And they took them: and Elijah brought them down to the brook Kishon, and slew them there.” More deceit and double speak, as they all bowed down to worship THE LORD, they were rounded up and slaughtered (1Kings 18:39) So much for peace treaties. Sounds like a reenactment of a Native American surrender or from a scene in Outlaw Josie Wales, or a chapter out of Columbus’ treatment of the Caribs in the 15th century. The Bible account is a historic template for abrahamic foreign and domestic terrorist policy. 1 Kings‬ ‭18 KJV‬‬

If Jesus Was Truly a Carpenter

Many if you may know I am also a carpenter. My dad was a carpenter too, and since those days have built six of my own homes. I am pretty proud of having designed all of them, and also did most of the work. The house we are in now was done by myself. Plans, foundation, framing, wiring, plumbing, everything. Here is the first house I designed and built in 1996 when I was 33. Still a favorite.

When Jesus was 33 he was just finishing a teaching gig. He gave up carpentry work to preach full time. Preaching full time makes most people a little batty, and historically is a dangerous profession because your always in other people’s business or trying to prove them wrong in their own house.

Jesus was supposedly a carpenter, and as a god he must have been a doozy. Can you imagine the potential craftsmanship of a god? You could cut any angle just by guessing it. Gold inlays…done! If you had any gap or twisted lumber, just use the spiritual force, or whatever it’s called, to fix it.

In reading the Bible, I’m trying to imagine what a house of his work would look like, based the scriptures he “revealed” to men. This house would be forever incomplete and in a case of constant remodel. Plans would be out of focus and not meeting code using unknown measurements in a foreign language. Each generation of visitors has seen fit to change the layabout at their whims, so much so that the beginnings and the ends are an unrecognizable, incoherent, with vapid, circular architecture of embarrassingly out of square walls that don’t line up and even contradict each other. All opposed by a set of stairways that lead nowhere. I’ve been on jobs where the owner keeps making changes. It comes from bad planning and impractical ideas. There is a reason everyone keeps changing religion. It was a bad idea to begin with.

More Wild Turkey (not Mel) A Religious Model

15 second video

It’s pretty fascinating to watch the similarities between religion and a Rooster like Mel here. He shows up and throws his weight around, disrupting what is peaceful and trying to force others to comply to his way. This Tom turkey here, appears to have also studied the Quran. He is abusive and carries an air of dominance. Side note: Hens lay eggs even without him, and some (40%) are asexual and don’t need a rooster (religion). The numbers even match up to what we see in humanities need for a higher power. “Almost all vertebrates reproduce sexually, i.e. the sperm and egg join to form an embryo. Vertebrates that reproduce asexually are exceptionally rare, however turkeys are one such species that can do so. Many explanations are given as to why turkeys reproduce asexually on occasion (as high as 40% of offspring are products of parthenogenesis): low sperm count, male unavailability etc. I’ll offer one of my own. Female turkeys see males (photo above) and think, “No way in hell am I having sex with that!” Their heads are blue during breeding. It appears to have a lack of oxygen to the brain. They are very vulnerable during mating season.

The Perfect God (and tom turkey)

Why, if god exists, does he have to be perfect and omnipotent? What would be the problem of a “not all powerful god”, but one that had a skill for creating things? The insistence on a perfect and kind, loving god is contradictory to scripture and the natural world.

Aaannd, the first tom turkey showed up in the yard this morning. Very cool. He reminds me of god a little. He’s all puffed up for a big show, but up close he’s an ugly dude. Struts around bossing everyone when they were doing just fine before he showed up.

Sound Effects

Social Conformity -Behavioral Flaws

Possibly we need different, or a combined approach to gaining independence from religion. A social experiment from the 1950’s done by Solomon Asch, illustrates and corroborates other findings of humans needing to fit in to whatever particular group they are in, and in many cases even complete strangers or people they disagree with. Students in the study were instructed to choose the line on card 2 that matched the single line card.

All but one member of each test group were instructed through random phases to choose the wrong answer. 36% of students willingly went along with the groups wrong answer. 35% absolutely held their ground in the correct choice, while the remaining others argued the choice, then cautiously went along with the wrong answer. Sound about right? The findings were within one percentage point of Eric Hoffers’ findings at 35% of what he calls “true believers”. Those that need a group or something bigger than themselves to cling to and feel validated.

What is it about us that drives us to acceptance? Psychology Today has some insight. Joanna Cannon says,

“Perhaps it would be empowering to embrace our differences, rather than fear them. Instead of living our lives in monochrome, it might be more fulfilling to search for the color, and the variance, in those around us, and we can then allow ourselves to be accepted for who we really are”. Joanna Cannon is a psychiatrist from Leicester Medical School, England

The divisive nature of piety automatically puts one at odds with the rest of the world. Finding yourself can lead you to intellectual freedom, independent thought, and self acceptance can instill confidence to break the faith trap and call out the BS without staying in it due to peer pressure to fit in. Meanwhile, we’ll just keep at it.

Faith Trap

Born into a certain lair, depending on to who from where, was raised into a strict belief, that if well followed would cause relief. A way of life so grand it’s said, to have raised up living from the dead, and if believed with all my heart, life would light the often dark.

Applied my self into the way, paid my tithes and learned to pray, read the book and proved all things, and stayed high in religions rings, then somehow many years had past, and things weren’t adding up so fast.

Some doubts were hushed and hard to say, was I the lone who felt this way? When I would list but a concern, read more scripture you will learn, apply your faith and don’t surrender, hope is where the life will render.

And so It was, I began again.

Doubling down I did my best, and to the lord I took a test, to verify most carefully, his book of words and then I’d see, but by and by the search from me, had eyes that crossed with dotted tees, and woeful were the histories. I read and pondered every verse, the lord it seemed he was a curse, to opened eyes on every verse, things are not what they seemed.

And so I prayed

In earnest gave I the lord my plea, invested years in him you see, certain that a faithful soul, could hear his word if truth be told. Wanting to believe the words, that marked the pages so absurd, to say I needed little reason, but just one would do.

Retiring to a quiet thicket, the lords voice came by sound of crickets.

It all unraveled very fast, not a thing or two would come to pass, as soon as opened eyes could see, deceived by friends and trusted creeds, that one who thought as smart as me, could fall into a trap so deep, set by ones who cared for me. If only just one part was right, I could continue in the fight, but no god hears the words you say, but alas its hope that traps with faith.

New Portable EEG

Edinburgh University, Scotland has developed a prototype EEG and has tested it on 95 volunteers over the age of 65. The study is recording brain activity in everyday situations in different urban settings from busy streets to parks.

I am imagining the implications here, and as an irreligious writer I am eager to get this device into the hands of neurotheologist researchers. Can we strap this baby on to some Pentecostal regulars and mega church parishioners? Can we get Mel to volunteer to wear this during a blog fight? This image shows average brain regions for 22 subjects during testing. Blue areas represent brain regions more active when telling the truth, red areas, when lying. How much red inside the head? Can we get some prayer? Can somebody please record the conversion process and confirm what part of the brain started this mess? Oh the implications are grand, and to get this everywhere to corroborate the overwhelming evidence that brain function creates spiritual experience? The floodgates are about to open. The field is ripe, and ready to harvest. Maybe we can end this debate once and for all. Here is a great 2 min video of right brain left brain with separated corpus callosum.

Making One God From Three

The Bible is quite clear that more than on god is depicted in the text. Years of explaining and funneling pinpoints has convinced the Christian world that three is really one. Fourth century philosophers and emperors agreed the final say in a confusing creed to say once and for all, that three gods is one god is “The God”. Why?

Most of you know the power of observation. Untrue knowledge is a chisel in the stone of common sense, and weak individuals without true knowledge, are easily controlled and manipulated. On the ruling side, three gods are less influential than one all powerful and frightening god with no one to reason or ration his ultimate power.

Nature can prove the point better than I, as you see the three maelstroms are seemingly insignificant. But combined they are a force to be feared, and grow to dangerous self serving entity that suck down everything in its wake.

Above is three finding their footing, and then they combine into this one below.

Left unchecked, or avoided all together, it sucks away everything in its path. That’s the importance of having one versus three. Monotheism is a danger to mankind. Here below two ships fight the whirlpool while fighting each other. Sound familiar?

Mau Goddess Bastet

I believe the Egyptians were on to something when they acknowledged the cat (Felis silvestris catusas) as a god. Bastet, a half human and half cat, is the closest representation in Egyptology to the Christian god YHWY. Cats toy with their victims who never know why, and the mouse, inferior physically, has to submit and quietly wonder what it all means. Never having to explain “why” and inflicting and allowing misery on those that don’t understand, is the YHWY way. The warring nature of Bastet is a shoe-in that would fit nicely into Christian history.

The Botfly Larvae- A Christian Model

Lessons from nature cover the scope of the human experience. Using the tried and trued model of expansion in the botfly population, Christianity has honed its craft using unsuspecting children and the unprepared masses to deal its bidding.

If you are not familiar, the human botfly proliferates by capturing a mosquito, laying its eggs on the mosquito, then turns it loose. This little messenger then takes the eggs, and finds an unsuspecting human to suck blood from. As the vampirical transaction is taking place, the botfly eggs are injected into the skin. The mosquito isn’t even aware of the damage she is causing, but is carrying a painful and disturbing parasite that will change your very life.

The first clue to the new convert that religion is a bogus and unproven tool, is your prayers offered to remove the botfly will be lost in the space-time continuum, and medical treatment will be required. Prayers to the Doctor! Amen. Trust your instinct.
