Dear E,
Thank you for all the memories, these six years of knowing you. At this point in time, I do not know what will happen in the future....

It was my fault, completely, and I apologise. I know I can never truly forgive myself for what I did. Never. Everything I did that lead to the illness taking over me, having full control over me, mentally and physically. All this while I was so blind, so deaf, I could not see that you cared for me, you and J, the things you did, the things you both said, I did not do anything at all. Instead I let the voices inside my head control my actions, my life, and slowly but surely I was destroying myself. Self destruction, of both my body and mind. Day by day, I seemed to lose myself in my clothes, mere fabric that was draped over my emanciated frame. Day by day, the strings that once so tightly bound our friendship began to loosen as well. Perhaps, somewhere, somehow, they even broke without me realising it. I was in a dsyfunctional world of my own. I withdrew from friends and family alike, as the seconds ticked by I grew weaker physically but the voices in my head increased in strength and force, they were all I could see, I was under their spell. I was becoming something terrible, everything I thought I did not want to become but eventually came to be.

Dear E, the R that you know has ceased to exist. 24th December 2009 was the day the R you knew left this world. Forever. Who, or what, am I? Something bad, something good - I do not know. For all that I know, I have taken the place of R's soul, filled the empty shell of a body with life, and merely existed. I am not dead, for I breathe and respire and exist - but I do not consider myself alive as well for I know that without the lost feelings I cannot truly live, I cannot live life the way it was meant to be.

Like JYJ and Homin, I never knew if we could be together as one DBSK together again. Each time I cannot help but think that it was me and my sickness that drove us apart. You and J on one end, I on the other, and JX (and probably L and A) somewhere in the murky, undefined middle. I was stupid, foolish, ignorant... How naive of me to think that once I came back from the hospital all wold be well. I spoke to you, you could not hear. I approached you, you turned away. I wrote you letters, you did not reply. You and J, both of you, eliminated me from your world. I did not understand... Did I hurt your heart so much, both of you did not want to start another friendship as deep as that so as to protect your hearts from breaking, should I do something foolish again? Did I hurt you two so much that whatever I do, no matter how much, from not on cannot make good the mistakes that I have made?

Listening to this song, I cannot help but cry. Like it is with the death of a close but sickly relative - do you cry out of sadness that he or she has already passed on, or do you cry out of hapiness that he or she is finally, at long last, freed from suffering and pain? I cry because of so many things - the sadness, hopelessness, emptiness, loneliness, regret, the good times that we had, the happy times that we may never have again, the stupid & silly things we did, the things that have happened, the things that have yet to come... Oh E and J, how much I miss you...

Dear E, I know that in primary school we weren't that close. It was only in secondary school, when we were secondary 1 in 2007 and in the same class, that we sat next to each other and began to talk to each other more. We 'discovered' DBSK together, I remember that time in February when I brought the box of Korean chocolate sticks to school and was really excited because there was this hot guy on the cover. P took one look and exclaimed that it was U KNOW, the uber hot and sexy leader of this Korean boyband named Dong somethingsomethingsomething (we couldn't remember at that time) that she totally loved and OMGSDGNJDSHG we should love too. We laughed but didn't do much about it. Our first encounter with DBSK, and it wasn't the most WOAH-worthy moment.

The second time, I brought a couple of albums to school. Who are these guys on the cover?! I implored P. They are so good looking, one look was all it took to get my heart hooked and I just had to buy the album. P laughed and and thought I was insane to spend money just like that, and she had already told us that this was DBSK, the same group that had the U KNOW guy on the chocolate stick box as their leader. Ohhhhhhhhhhh!! E began to flip through the picture booklets asking P every now and then to identify the various members on the pages. P was very patient, explaining that Dong Bang Shin Ki consisted of five members, Micky Yoochun (the oldest looking one!, me and E thought), Max Changmin (the tall one!), Xiah Junsu (the cute one~), U Know Yunho (the leader and P's FAVOURITE, don't forget that, she added) and the most beautiful one, Hero Jaejoong.

The many things we did together, our Sentosa and Orchard outings and fandom related stuff, cannot be summed up in words... I introduced FT Island to you, you introduced 2PM and Ukiss to me, we watched Taemin grow from the cute trainee (who bore a striking resemblance to Nakajima Yuto of Hey!Say!Jump - I SAW POTENTIAL IN HIM AND KNEW HE WOULD DEBUT EVEN BACK THEN OKAY!!) into the mushroom headed maknae of ~*~*~New SM boyband SHINee~*~*~ (which we proceeded to have Replay on replay), getting all excited for DBSK's Mirotic Comeback, KPOP Night 2008 and SM TOWN 08, remember when I went all the way to your section and persuaded us to go to the front, when we sang at the top of our lungs and jumped and waved our hands for five hours straight, and taking pictures with the Nemo float that Jaejoong played with (omgHEtouchedit), which you refused to let the other fans touch and eventually brought it home (haha). And having really bad hangovers after the concert and coming to school the following Monday with our throats sore.

Thank you, E. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything. I may be foolish likening our friendship to DBSK's situation, because they're not the same, but at this point in life I'm lost, oh I don't know if anything I am typing is coherent. "All good things come to an end" , is this how everything - our friendship, and DBSK - ends?

Only the heavens know... but keep in mind that I love you, my friend, as much as I love DBSK, always and forever.

Hard choice! Minhwan was my favourite since their debut in 2007, but at the FTI showcase at St James' last year (in Singapore) I was standing <2m away from Jaejin and he was SO UNBELIEVABLY RED FLAMING CHILLI HOT plus he smiled in my direction (or perhaps me? I was jumping up and down and waving my arms like I was on steroids while the other fans were all *o* and didn't move as much XD)
