I think it's good to offer readers more fine-grained decisions on how much they want to be notified :) I read via your site's RSS, so I still get all posts.
One disadvantage I noticed with your decision to pick substack for reduced posts: There now is no way to comment with low entry bar. Your newest post is cross-posted to mastodon, bluesky, and facebook โ all of which want you to create a profile and create the assumption that you'd be approachable there.
I still think substack is the best platform for offering a best-of feed, so I'm not sure what to do about that.

Would commenting on the LW mirror of the post [1] work?
For me, yes! I already have an account there โ I thought you also wouldn't cross post the minor posts there any more, since the blog post didn't have the LW link.
I don't know how it is for other people, or if maybe most of your readers already have an account on at least one of these platforms. Probably most do ๐
LW crossposts are automatic, but not instant. They usually go up within a few minutes, but if it doesn't happen right away it can take some time for me to notice and go add the link. You can check at https://www.lesswrong.com/users/jkaufman to see if it has appeared.
