This is a delightful book geared towards the lower grades of juniors. It is informative and happily written. The illustrations are energetic. John Adams and Thomas Jefferson are the John & Tom of Revolutionary War fame.

Michelle Markel updated Eleanor Roosevelt's 1932 book. The current version is copyrighted as of 2018. It is an excellent book. It is very informative, and the narrative flows easily. The illustrations are clear as well as delightful.

This was an excellent book. I was not aware of the struggles so many people had to acquire the right to vote. It is very relevant today as our right to vote is under attack once more.

There wasn't much information in the book. It had lively illustrations, but it seemed a little unfocused. A child would likely enjoy the bright colors. The message of tolerance was good as was the geography of the state.

I enjoyed the book. I wish it had gone into a little more detail about his marriage and children, but it was a good book on his civil rights journey. The illustrations were good.
