As J. Davis Inc. Divisions continued to grow, a new shop was needed to provide  space for growing fabrication abilities along with  tool and equipment storage.

Then, like the rest of the world, we were suddenly navigating the challenges of a global pandemic doing everything possible to support our staff during an uncertain and stressful time. Despite these challenges, major projects were underway across multiple divisions. Not only did we navigate, we partnered with our customers to help them through it.

Everything changed when a powerful tornado swept through our region, devastating homes, businesses, and several client sites including damage to the homes of our own team members. In true J. Davis fashion, our divisions jumped in with both feet. New Terrain paused a major airport project to assist with cleanup and debris removal, while JDI crews along with J. Davis Construction shifted focus to help restore a large local plant that had taken a direct hit. Hundreds of local jobs and the regional economy were at stake due to the damage. All division’s teams worked around the clock in three shifts to get a nearby plant production line running and to rebuild the damaged plant piece by piece.

Also the company started several significant projects in the North Georgia region.

Although this unexpected disaster disrupted every schedule and plan, it powerfully reaffirmed our mission to make a positive impact on our community when it matters most.
