I'm hoping someone here has some insight on this. Can anyone make recommendations regarding vacationing in Los Cabos vs. Mazatlan vs. Puerto Vallarta? Girlfriend will be interested in shopping and since this is a birthday trip for her, that'll be important. Both of us will be interested typical beach stuff (swimming, day/night cruise, etc.), sight-seeing on land, eating, drinking (mainly me drinking).

I'm keeping an eye on travel.state.gov to make sure the drug violence doesn't spill into the resort areas, so don't worry your pretty little heads about that.

Thanks all in advance for your help.

No need to hurry with this question.

I know you're supposed to clip the W-2 stub to your return, and I do that. My question is, do you enclose copies of all your other statements with your taxes, or can you avoid that since the IRS gets a copy too? I'm thinking of statements of interest payments, qualified dividends, capital gains, etc. that are mailed to you each year--do you send copies of those with your tax forms? I've always been conservative--cramming in copies of everything into an envelope and sending it off, but I question whether I need to bother with all that.

Potential Good Use for Myspace: Is Possible?

Pretty much every band, performer, and live music venue that I have any interest in has a Myspace page. Some performers have abandoned the whole website idea and are exclusively on Myspace. I figure a Myspace account would be a great way to bookmark all these different groups and performers as well as track down new performers I'd enjoy.

Here's what I'm wondering: Most (all?) performers have a calendar of upcoming performances. Would it be possible to create a consolidated calendar of all the performers' upcoming gigs on my friend's list, filtered to just show upcoming Phoenix or Arizona shows? Is there an ambitious geek out there who has come up with an application to do this? I lack the mad programming skilz to do it myself. Otherwise, I'd consider it.

ETA: Guess I don't really need Myspace. This looks pretty useful. (Yeah, I can sign up for individual email lists, which I've done, but I want my information consolidated and pertaining to performances in my area only.) Though it would still be nice to see, say, the whole year's worth (or however far out a given band's schedule goes) in an event calendar display.

I'd like to keep up with the times, so I was thinking of getting a DVR or DVD recorder. Don't DVRs require a subscription service though? I don't want to pay for a subscription just to keep up with Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert, and Jeopardy. A DVR without a subscription service would be just peachy. A DVD recorder sounds like a decent idea, but you can't just keep recording over and over on the same DVD, can you?

I love that Guinness commercial with the guys representing bubbles dressed in beige costumes bouncing off the drums that represent the side of the glass then bouncing of the cymbals representing the head. It's like live-action CFD!

My girlfriend got me an AirPort Express for my birthday! I'm not using it to do any wireless networking or printing or any of that crap; I'm using it to stream iTunes through my stereos. Nifty! I'm digging around now to see if there are any tricks or trips that would make it even more useful.

Wow, so this slain mother actually loved her family? How unusual. My mom absolutely despised us. She would chase us around with an ax and occasionally set our bedrooms on fire. Don't even get me started on the cyanide.
