Karen is my go-to for sound, practical advice on using AI in ways that actually make sense. She’s extremely knowledgeable, with over 30 years of experience in data science, and has a wonderful ability to turn complex ideas into clear, accessible pieces. Everyday Ethical AI is an easy way to keep in touch with ways to think and use AI now, and to imagine for better futures.
I’ve long been inspired by Dr. Kathleen Allen’s work. She introduced me to living systems thinking, which now underpins much of my mission with Gen2200. Kathy shares powerful lessons from nature and shows how they can be applied to leadership and real-world change. Highly recommended.
Jerry Michalski is one of the smartest, most sensible and lateral people I've ever met. He is a true connector and his ideas are worth taking seriously. Also, he's a supreme conversationalist. Check out his work, and you'll see why I say so.
I stumbled across K Allado-McDowell's Work via their Long Now Foundation talk on neural media which I found inspiring and asking the question - Just what might we do with all this computational power.Allado-McDowell writes at the intersection of AI, ecology, systems thinking, and speculative futures and explores how technologies shape and are shaped by culture, consciousness, and planetary systems. If you’re curious about the edges where systems meet myth and machine, their writing is a must.
After reading Meredith's work, my brain is often larger, and more able to stretch. My heart and my feet feel lighter. She's not afraid of going deep, quickly, briefly, strongly, and yet always somehow manages to deliver me to the other side of an emotion, an idea or an experience I didn't have language for. Often all three at the same time! I love the way she sees the world then leans in a shows it to us. Her dancing background moves through the words. Magic. Have a read, you'll see what I mean!
I love that Eggcademic saves and reshare old pieces of writing, art and other creations. She's doing her best to make sure art and writing don’t live and die by the algorithm, without forcing creators to be on the hamster wheel of creation. If you like what she does, you might want to send her something to add to the time capsule!
I love that Michael Spencer has his finger on what AI is happening and we need to know. Also that he maintains a critical eye. Read his posts and tell me if you agree!
Anne Helen's focus is social systems, work culture, burnout, community dynamics. Her work is known for deep analysis of personal + societal patterns. She writes slowly, with nuance, and focuses on how we live inside large systems (especially work). Good for thoughtful readers who like reflections on modern life’s structural pressures.
