Java developers

For all you JSP developers out there.. what do you develop in? Do you have an IDE?

I know there is an enterprise plugin for Eclipse, but I was hoping for something cheaper than that. Mac or PC platform.

Does anybody know of an effective yet relatively cheap JSP development tool?

Do you people know how to write a TextFile with a given fixed maximum line length?
I saw in the API that it's not possible to limit the line size using the PrintWriter class.

The generated files can be really big (gigabytes), so I whould need a low-cost memory class.

Any suggestions? Thanks in advance!
