It is the "all roads lead to Rome" principle. An entity with Narrative Authority is the node others position themselves relative to - agreeing with, building on, citing, even disagreeing with. The entity does not need to be famous. It needs to be structurally unavoidable within the topic. Remove the entity and the topic's conversation graph fragments. Fame is breadth of recognition - many people know your name. Narrative Authority is topological centrality - all discussions about the topic pass through your node.
