I haven’t found a word that fits me yet. Simplify sounds wonderful. Now where to begin? I will continue to eat healthier food and go to the ymca for water aerobics . I continue to work on trust.

Trust could be an interesting word to explore! Here's an article I wrote last year about finding a word of the year with a few other ideas. https://janepilger.substack.com/p/word-of-the-year-2025

I do this every year as well! Last year my word was "Sparkle" which was a HUGE departure from previous years (Learn, Listen, Heal, Pause, etc) - and, like you, I used it to guide me through my decision making. Does this activity/thing/decision light me up? Does it help me shine? This year my word is also a bit of a departure. I'm keeping it to myself but following the success of my glow up 2025 Sparkle year, it involves putting myself out into the world a little more - which is how I ended up here...

Ohh - I love the word "Sparkle"! And I can see how it would be a departure from previous words. It sounds FUN too!! I'd love to know what changed for you with Sparkle as your foundation?

I love that you are keeping your 2026 word to yourself, but sharing the intention behind it - some safety but also forward progress or momentum. So glad you ended up here! I'm definitely interested in checking out your Substack - rest-related topics are of definite interest to me this year!!

You know what changed most from Sparkling through 2025? My attitude towards myself. I embraced my inner showgirl a little. I took a few stylistic risks (changed my hair, as a silly and unimportant to anyone but me example). If I was asked to do something I made sure it was something that allowed me to really be my authentic self. It really changed how I feel about who I am in this time of my life.
