Lice Infestations are Debilitating, Demoralizing and Dangerous

Defintion of debilitating: causing serious impairment of strength or ability to function; For example… debilitating pain, a debilitating fear of public speaking, a debilitating illness… I add, a debilitating parasite like LICE.
Origin: The term derives from 1525-35 Latin dēbilitātus, equivalent to dēbilit-, stem of dēbilis weak + -ātus -ate
Causes of Lice
Lice (‘lice’ is plural… singular is ‘louse’) are parasitic pathogens as defined in Chapter 36-“Surviving Biological Infectious Disease and Chemical Warfare” of the Civil Defense Manual.
How to treat and get rid of lice is part of Chapter 16-“Medical and medical resource information” of the Civil Defense Manual.
Body lice are most common in crowded and unhygienic living conditions, such as refugee camps, areas of war, civil disruption or natural disasters, military siege areas and shelters for homeless people. Lice can spread from contact with a person or contact with an infected person's clothes. Body lice bites can spread certain types of diseases and can even cause epidemics. Pubic lice infestations are usually spread through contact, sexual or other contact.
Lice can't jump or fly.
Poor sanitation is the number one cause of lice. Messy, dusty, dirty, cluttered living areas, improper disposal of trash and food containers, lack of washing bedding, clothing and lack of body hygiene… filthy bodies. Lice can infect clean people in highly sanitary circumstances… but poor sanitation will almost guarantee an eventual lice infestation.
This is why the military is anally retentive about having extreme cleanliness of bodies, clothing and clean and orderly barracks and living quarters. Not just so it looks pretty… but these procedures keep pathogens from infecting personnel.
The danger of Body Lice
Of the three types of lice… the body lice (louse as type C in the diagram below) is the one you have to worry most about, because it spreads diseases such as epidemic typhus, fevers and more.
Symptoms of Lice
Recognizing the signs of head, body and pubic lice infestation is very apparent. You will have intense itching and or a rash caused by an allergic reaction to body lice bites the same as a mosquito bite. This may be accompanied by red bumps on the skin, in the case of body lice… thickened or darkened skin, usually near the waist, crotch and areas where clothing fits tightly.
Common signs and symptoms of lice include: Intense itching on the scalp, body or in the genital area. You will have the sensation of a tickling feeling from movement of hair. Lice infest your scalp, body, clothing, pubic and other body hair. When body lice are bad enough, you’ll feel like your skin is crawling, according to accounts of people who have lived with severe infestations.
Lice lay eggs, called ‘nits,’ which also have to be removed to rid yourself of lice. Lice can spread, but they’re not a sign of poor hygiene. Clean people in clean environments can get lice also. Not as common… but it does occur.
Infestation with body lice results in a condition called pediculosis. Intense itching ("pruritus") and rash, caused by an allergic reaction to the louse bites, are common symptoms of body lice infestation. As with other lice infestations, intense itching leads to scratching which can cause sores and secondary bacterial infection of the skin.
Characteristics and Habits of Lice
Lice live on human blood and suck it out of you just like a female mosquito sucks it from you for her eggs. The above German soldier accounts of lice ‘sensing death’ and leaving the dying, is probably the result of low or flatlining blood pressure preventing them from drawing blood through the capillaries close to the surface of the skin.
There are three different types of lice and each has an area of the human body they prefer… again, body lice are the most dangerous of the three because they can carry diseases. Body lice infest clothing and bedding.
Lice can infest the human head, the entire body or pubic area. The female gender of the head and pubic louse produces a sticky substance that firmly attaches each egg to the base of a hair shaft. Eggs hatch in six to nine days. You can get lice by coming into contact with either lice or their eggs. Pubic lice infestations (pthiriasis from the Pthirus pubis louse) are usually spread through sexual contact.

You will need a magnifying glass or good eyesight to see the distinction between and identify the type of lice present.
They travel to your skin several times a day to feed on blood… you are their breakfast, lunch and dinner.
A. ‘Crab’ or Pubic Lice
Pubic lice, Also Known and Affectionately Nicknamed ‘crabs,’ feed on blood from the skin in and around your genitals and they infest the hair of your private parts. Measuring about 1/16-inch, pubic lice got their nickname because their bodies are shaped similar to a water crab’s body.
The female louse lays eggs (known as nits) that stick to hair shafts. Pubic lice typically are found attached to hair in the pubic area but sometimes are found on coarse hair elsewhere on the body like eyebrows, eyelashes, beard hair, mustache, chest, armpit hair.
Pubic lice (Crabs), Head lice, Body lice all feed on human blood. Lice found on each of the areas of the body are different, but you get rid of them essentially the same way. Head lice will be more common, but body lice are potentially deadly because they carry disease. If there is a Collapse Of Society, sex will be the last thing on most people’s minds… but there will be sexual activity to some degree… so there will be pubic lice infestations amongst those people.
Body lice are similar to head lice and pubic lice but have different habits. While head lice and pubic lice live in your hair and feed on your scalp and skin, body lice usually live in your clothes and bedding… but if bad enough they will stay in armpits and other folds and recesses of the human body.
Head lice feed on blood from the scalp. The female louse lays eggs (known as nits) that stick to hair shafts.
B. Head Lice
Washing the hair alone does not remove lice. Use the traditional wet-combing process. This is a way of removing lice from the hair with a fine-toothed comb and it makes the lice more visible where you can distinguish it from dandruff. If you don’t have olive oil, it’s one of the few ways to get rid of head lice.
Wet-combing involves using a fine-toothed comb and a magnifying glass to examine each small area of hair and remove the individual lice and nits from each strand. Separate the hair into small sections as you work using a hair clip to move them out of the way. Do this with a head band light or other good light so you can see the lice. Rinse out the comb often under running hot water.
Wash, rinse, wash again and rinse again. Once you’ve completely combed the hair, wash the person’s hair with soap, rinse it and repeat with washing again. This is a pain in the butt, but do this every day for a week… then check by combing every night for a couple of weeks to make sure the lice are gone.
C. Body Lice
Body lice closely resemble head lice and pubic lice, but are much less common. A single body louse is a small, wingless, flat insect.
Body lice must feed on blood and usually only move to the skin to feed.
Body lice exist worldwide and infest people of all races. Lice are not politically correct and are totally non-discriminatory. All Lives Matter to lice.
Washing both clothes and body. Wash the affected body area with hot soap and water and wash all clothing and bedding with hot soap and water and then mop and clean all living areas. Dry clothes in as high a heat as you can.
Buy these oils and store them.
Essential Oils. Treat the skin and clothing with essential oils… rosemary, citronella, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, lemon grass, lavender oil, neem oil (from an Asian-Indian evergreen tree), clove oil, aniseed oil, cinnamon leaf oil, red thyme oil. All of these oils have a smell that drives lice away or kills them.
How to Get Rid of Head and Pubic Lice without Chemicals
Smother head and pubic lice. ‘Suffocating’ treatments. First coat the hair with olive, almond or like non-skin irritating oils, fats or greases. Some people suggest coating the comb with oil as needed instead of the hair with the oil. This is why in some cultures, other than for religious beliefs, people wear tight wrapped turbans.
Again, Essential Oils. Treat the lice with essential oils rosemary, citronella, eucalyptus, tea tree oil, lemon grass, lavender oil, neem oil (from an Asian-Indian evergreen tree), clove oil, aniseed oil, cinnamon leaf oil, red thyme oil. All of these oils have a smell that drives lice away or kills them.
How to Get Rid of Lice with Chemical Treatment Using “Rid Pediculicide”
Generic name: piperonyl butoxide (pronounced “pye PER oh nil bue TOX ide”) and pyrethrin topical (pronounced “pye REE thrin TOP i kal”)
Brand names: A-200 Lice Treatment, Good Sense Lice Killing Shampoo, Step 1, Leader Lice Solution, Pronto Lice Kill System, R & C Lice Treatment Kit, Rid Pediculicide, Tegrin-LT Lice Treatment Kit, Triple X Pediculicide
When You’re Done Exterminating Lice
Wash all towels, materials you used, clean the area you worked in and clean out the lice comb. Soak the comb in a mild bleach solution or vinegar for 30 minutes, or boil it in water for 10 minutes.
You’ll experience lice during chaos and civil disruption and especially during a Collapse Of Society. When a Collapse Of Society occurs or even a Prolonged Crisis, you can be certain that lice will reappear as an unwelcome guest of your CDM Neighborhood Protection Plan™ Group Members and other people everywhere.
What is a Catastrophic Event?
This is explained in detail in the Civil Defense Manual but to give you the “twenty-five cent version,” this is it… A Catastrophic Event is a disaster that could lead to A Collapse Of Society. I referred to this in an earlier book as ‘A Failure of Civility,’ which was the title of that book. But that term just doesn’t fit all the aspects and doesn’t fully convey, nor encompass, the reality and all facets of what would happen as A Collapse Of Society does in this book. A Catastrophic Event or Extraordinary Catastrophic Event that would turn into A Collapse Of Society would be a total lack of concern for others and it would be everyone for themselves. Life would, to a large extent, become survival by brutality and use of force… survival by force of weapons. Much worse than what you just read.
Most of us in the world live, more or less, in Normal Civility where we’re not killing each other for food and water. After a Catastrophic Event, an Area Emergency will occur. The term Area Emergency refers to the interruption of normal day to day living, or Normal Civility, that society will experience after a Catastrophic Event. If not corrected, this Area Emergency can progress to a worsening state, that of a Crisis. A Crisis can deteriorate into a more damaging and worse state… that of a Prolonged Crisis.
A Prolonged Crisis is the stage which will precede A Collapse Of Society if Critical Life Supplies and Services are exhausted and not resupplied. Civil order will not be able to be maintained without those two items of Critical Life Supplies and Services being available to all people… Water and Food.
The stages from Normal Civility to… A Collapse Of Society
An Extraordinary Catastrophic Event is the most severe of disasters. Your world will plunge immediately into A Collapse Of Society from an Extraordinary Catastrophic Event, with little time for progression through the above stages and it will progress to cause extreme suffering and death.
Again, an Extraordinary Catastrophic Event is the most severe of a Catastrophic Events. With an Extraordinary Catastrophic Event… the normal stages of progression from Normal Civility to A Collapse Of Society would not take place. If an Extraordinary Catastrophic Event occurs… your existence would go directly from Normal Civility to A Collapse Of Society inevitably and in some cases very quickly. Not over stages of time but immediately or accelerated.
If people will fight over the latest fad toy for their children at Christmas time, turn into a violent mob over the newest footwears’ first release, stab one another over who was first in line for a trendy chicken sandwich or randomly attack Law Enforcement and innocent civilians (think of the madman who “‘just decided… just cuz” to cut that beautiful woman’s throat on the subway)… it takes little imagination as to what they’ll do when there is a shortage of Water and Food.
I don’t have to imagine, because I’ve seen the beast in the human many times. I’ve lived in it. Most people haven’t, so they have little to go by. Civilization is a very thin veneer on mankind and most people can’t visualize the desperation people will have. Man is a beast, who wears shoes and clothes… and pretends otherwise.
So… Rioting, Starvation and Destruction can’t Happen in America?!

The above is true NOW, despite what political party people belong to. Violence is non-partisan and non-denominational… it can happen to ANYONE INSTANTLY and WITHOUT WARNING. That’s why I carry a couple of knives, a firearm, extra magazines and beat up my sparring partner ‘Xtra Large Bob’ regularly. I’m alert, take precautions but am ready for a knock down drag out fight… in my house, car or out of my “secure areas” when around others. You must be prepared and ready for chaos and civil disruption, just as I prepare to defend myself and mine against assailants.

I also urge Americans to move from the major populated metropolitan “blue areas” into a more firearms friendly and common-sense area of less population density. GET OUT NOW!
