John's writing is so transparently true and unfiltered that he feels like a brother to me. Part of is geographic, of course, since we both recognize Northern New Mexico as the center of the Universe. But most of it is the fact that we have both known love and loss in equal measure, and continue to embrace the love.

Tommy is a superb writer and a real gentleman. HIs approach to things is eerily similar to my own and I felt an immediate sense of kinship when I ran across his site - an accidental discovery based on knowing an entirely different Tommy Tomlinson, who as it happens is a much lesser light.
