When we reclaim birth as a ceremony, not a medical event, we introduce factors that promote safety and enjoyment for one of the most precious moments in life - welcoming new life to the earth side.

This workshop will review the stages of birth, hormones in birth, and all the ways we can introduce safety interventions and ceremonial experiences that will increase the safety of the birther, the magic of the moment, and the bonding of your new family.

The ability to seek and experience pleasure alongside pain is resilience. That’s the learning outcome of this workshop, and as a chronic pain sufferer, I will show you tools and techniques you can use to put focus on the parts of your birth and body that bring you closer to joy and further from experiencing pain through a lens of fear. These skills will support you through all the highs and lows of parenthood, speed up your labour and delivery, and will be a tool you can offer your child as they experience life.

Babies are expensive and as complicated as we make them. Learn from a trained teacher and experienced parent what you actually need now, later, and what’s more of a distraction than it’s worth. You’ll leave with a curated list organized by key milestones in your life as new parents. Hands-on options to play and practice are available when this workshop is delivered to the community.

When babies are born, we’re not just birthing a baby, we’re becoming parents! In modern times, often the birther and the co-parent receive little to now recognition or support in their newly formed roles. By naming, announcing, and clarifying roles of the family within the larger context of community we build resiliency factors that support families remaining happily, and healthily intact for the lifetime of the child. I’ll help you ready your family to walk out in front of your chosen community to be lifted up in a lifetime of love and support.

Kids don’t come with a handbook, but by the time you leave this workshop you will have created one unique to your family and your intended parenting style. Read, we’ll make time for you to explore your intentions as parent(s) and set meaningful goals and milestones that will ensure you get to celebrate the labours of your love. Learning from a trained elementary school teacher and experienced parent, you’ll learn strategies to support your child’s prosocial behavioural development in the first 0-7 years of life - the most influential of all years informing the health and wellbeing of this human you brought Earth-side - and their children! You’ll also explore rights of passage events and ceremonies you want your family to experience together. Finally, you’ll be introduced to the Coya Mindset, and will learn how you can help your child think critically about the consequences of their actions, so you can empower them to build confidence, and self actualize on their gifts.
