hi, no worries i understand your curiosity and/or confusion and i'm fine with answering (this is long (oops)) i'm not trying to actually "group" plural people with malice in mind, but i've had a lot of bad, misleading, or outright stupid experiences with people who were specifically: 1. an avid ponytown player 2. claim to be plural whilst displaying clear signs and mannerisms that are incorrect or outright harmful to the plural community, or things that indirectly make it very obvious they consider the label as more of a quirk than it is an actual issue other people struggle with on a daily basis (ex.: having a bajillion alters who are fully developed, formed headspace, and other traits that usually require years upon years of therapy and professional consultation to manage, ...) 3. underage, most likely somewhere between 13-16 (which not only is far too young to know if you are plural for sure, but also just applies to my DNIs) so, i guess by all technicalities i /am/ grouping people in a way, but it is not with malice but rather as transparency. i genuinely do not have an issue with people who are plural (two of my partners are plural), but because of the mixed and overall impressionable crowd of kids on ponytown, a lot of them tend to adopt being a system into their list of their "this will make me cool"-disorder list because to a lot of people it may seem like the opportunity to "roleplay" as their favorite character anywhere, all the time. a few years back i was also really, really bad mentally and my (at the time) friends played into my bipolar-induced delusion that i was also plural for like, two years. it was scary and horrible and i hated every single second of it, and the main reason why it happened in the first place was because i was young and impressionable - which is essentially what this entire response is about. self-diagnosis is great and i am all about it, but with how big the "did/osdd adoption epidemic" is/was, a lot of people unfortunately require a reality-check. i'm not a professional and cannot diagnose these kids, however i have done enough research on the topic to have the right to an opinion/observation.
