Yeah I was wanting to make certain holes where some relics are "banned", and I wanted to add more power ups but ran out of time unfortunately! Thank you for playing and I appreciate the feedback!

Really great pixel art! I can tell you put a lot of effort into the art and the story, it was impressive.

I want to fire this intern immediately. Funny game! I love tardigrades

Tough but really cool! It took me 3 tries on the first song to beat it, really impressive work, and the tunes are great!

The web version worked well for me! The art is simple but great, and the movement/attacking felt really good.
Great job!

Thank you for playing! I did think about the player getting money based on hitting an eagle, birdie, par, bogey and so on, but I got a bit too deep in the relic slot machine. I am working on a slightly different golf game with a mechanic like that though, so you're right, it would balance things better.

Thanks again for the feedback, good luck in the jam.

I love a puzzle platformer, and this game is fantastic for a jam, the art is great. I could feel the care that went into having the player movement and the timer on the different coloured eye-vines working together in certain parts of the game. Great job!!

Cool take on the theme! To make the camera not make the player sprite look as "jittery" you can set the camera2d's process callback to physics, and play with the position smoothing, it'll make the sprite look clean as you move.

Reminded me a lot of that turtle game on newgrounds back in the day, showing my age here. I did enjoy it! More upgrades would've been good though.

Cool idea, and the art is great! More types of enemies would be cool, as it did get very samey after I killed a few hundred enemies, so maybe just take one of the existing enemies, size them up 3x, and give them loads more health. exp and some other abilities would be cool too, but I understand that this is all made super quickly. Great job.

Its ok, I am a solo dev too and I am not good at art or SFX, so I understand how you feel. As for keybinds, I'm not sure, maybe Q for forward, E for back, and R for release (like it already is). I guess I would have to play it a lot more to get a feel for what would be right, different strokes for different folks though!

Really cool idea based on the theme! I enjoyed the kind and helpful messages, and the mechanics were really cool. Took me a minute to learn them but I had a lot of fun, and I love that you kept the art and sfx simple. It felt a bit weird using A to reverse at points where I was moving to the left, but I got used to it.

My ears got absolutely destroyed by some of the sound effects, but apart from that a fun game, and looks good! I got to wave 14 I think?

Hilarious seeing dexters face pop up at the start. I got stuck on the level with the platform you had to move, with the laser next to it, but figured it out after a bit (mainly a skill issue). Cool idea!

As someone who used to do an extreme sport for a living, this hits a little close to home, hospital bills galore. Some of the "bullseye" boards seemed to have collision, so I could kind of ride of them, not sure if that was intentional or not, and the transitions between levels were a bit jarring, but a funny idea! Good job.

A really cool idea, the lighting on the furniture was good too. I got to about 30 seconds left on my best run, but got merked very quickly after. The big chair was my best mate for blocking loads until he turned on me.

Cool take on the theme! To have a boss be invincible until a certain point in time is a great idea. I agree with the other comments that the lasso mechanic should be used more often. I also felt that the hitbox was not very forgiving, making it smaller would be nice as there is a lot of projectiles flying about during boss fights, and I was getting hit by projectiles that didn't look like they were hitting my character model. Great job though!

Thank you for playing, I did want to add more hazards but didn't think about keys unlocking the flag, I like that a lot! The character isn't anything really, I started making him a golf ball with eyes but thought it would be funnier if he was just a fat invincible little creature.

Ok, I am just bad then! Thank you for explaining

30 minutes was definitely too long for my ADHD brain but I found it super funny, great job!

Cool idea! Am I bad or am I not supposed to be able to defeat her? If I can't defeat her, then its a very cool take on the theme, an invincible boss you can only rack up points against.

Fun game, I get that you put the item descriptions in a link, but with this type of game I feel that I want to make an informed decision on my build, not have to go to a separate site to avoid trial and error. Most of the art was great too, and the post round summary screen was fantastic.

I like the light mechanic a lot! The gecko is cute and made me want to save him. I feel like the parry kept you in place for a bit too long though

I'm still playing it as I type this but wow, what a great game. Super polished, and a great idea. I agree with some people that the walk speed could be a bit faster, but it did also help me realise that walking gets rid of my invincibility, and would likely be harder to get that if I was sprinting everywhere. Amazing job.

(1 edit)

Level design is definitely not my forte! Thank you for the feedback, I appreciate it a lot. I did think about a stroke limit, but didn't add it for the same reason I didn't add water or "level ending" hazards, it didn't feel very invincible.

Took me a little to figure out that the light was "charging" me, I think you could've used the text at the start to explain the game a bit better, but I can also understand that english is likely not your first language. Good take on the theme!

36 seconds left, holy cow. I wouldn't usually download a game from here but I did for how close you cut it! I think it looks great for a game done by 2 people. Good job!

Thanks for playing! It might be the magnetic relic that did that, you'd need to turn it off as it can sometimes cause you to get stuck in certain positions, unless you also have the flappy bird relic, then you can hit whenever!

I liked the colour palette, it felt consistent throughout, I think the theme could've been more obvious but I enjoyed playing the games.

Took me a sec to figure out the minigame, but after a couple filled anxiety meters I figured it out! Really nice art too.

Good idea but didn't seem to work well for me, my attacks were hitting every single unit regardless of where I was facing, unless it is meant to work that way! I'm not sure if the block worked either.

Cool idea! I love tardigrades, and it was an interesting take on tower defense. The audio was really good too.

The art and sfx are fantastic here, feels super polished, I enjoyed it a lot! Skipped the tutorial but quickly figured it out.

Yeah my main thought was that you can hit mines and stuff and theres no game over screen at all, i definitely couldve added more "hazards" to make it more obvious

Wow this was a great idea! The art is awesome and the game matches the theme very well.

Fun game! I am bad at aiming so I did struggle, I also couldn't really read the text when you have to press C to copy an ability, as it flashed really quick sometimes, but the idea to steal an ability is really cool.

Really addictive! I enjoyed squashing absolutely everything, time flew by when I was playing. Really great job!

Really clever idea, I love it when old but tried and tested games get a refresh. Lots of fun!

My birb very quickly became a human throwing machine. Loved it! Simple and fun.

Thank you for playing! The little blue man you hit around is invincible, he can hit mines, and just generally get whacked without dying
