Neat little game! No real feedback needed here, only thing I will say is that some parts felt a little unfair where I couldn’t go anywhere else other than a mismatch, but otherwise it’s pretty fun

I like the concept of the game! The music is awesome

It has a bit of a skill curve which is nice, I’d love to see this as a proper game after the jam

Thanks for the kind words! I liked your game too, we went for a similar look and limitation idea hehe Yours especially was honestly super impressive for a first godot game, and also within the time limit of the jam

I do plan on coming back to this sometime post-jam and fleshing it out a bit more, adding more levels, maybe new level elements and obstacles, different visual areas like maybe a desert, possibly even going more closer to the NES in terms of colour limitations and resolution and that sort of thing, because I didn’t have that much time during the jam to do it, and also this sort of game is honestly super fun to develop

Not bad for being a first godot game and also only being done in 2-3 hours!

I like the concept of pong, but you can only hit non-prime numbers with the normal paddle, it adds a bit of strategy to the whole thing

Overall, not bad!

This was super fun to try to play! The idea is honestly super fun, the concept of a game where you have to score a hole in one to win is super interesting, and the fact that you also have to sort of cheat your way through as well gives an added challenge

Loved the music too! I like how it’s sticking with the limitations of the NES(or at least sounds like it, that triangle bass is pretty solid), but also has a very complex structure!

The only feedback I have is that at first it was pretty confusing to figure out what I was supposed to do, and also the UI does kind of block the gameplay a bit, especially on smaller displays such as my macbook’s.

Other than that, super solid entry

Fun game!! The only things I have feedback about:

• The music sort of fades out and restarts instead of properly looping
• the visuals are a bit basic

Otherwise this is a really fun and great game! It reminds me a bit of boxboy, but more strategic. I love how you did the 4 colour limitation too, with the player’s actions being colour coded to 4 colours

Thanks so much! Honestly, I was debating having some sort of arrow or arch to show how far you’d jump, but 1. I couldn’t think of a way how that could work at this low of a resolution, and 2. it’d make the game far easier, which isn’t really the point xD I’m planning on returning to this post-jam to fix some of the issues, as well as add more levels, individual areas, sound effects, better music, slightly more colours, etc.

I didn’t have much time for a lot of this, this was my first actual project in godot, so I was kind of struggling to learn some things. Now that I know how most things in godot work, so I can make a much better attempt next minijam

Yeah, Honestly this was my first finished project in godot, so I was kind of struggling to learn how some things worked and didn’t have time to really do anything more than what I did. The plan was originally to make walls and floors damage the player, but I didn’t have time to implement that behaviour

Also about the frog counter, I’ll fix that after the jam, though I’ll probably not edit the actual game, only take the concept and make a full game with it later

Thanks so much! I tried my best to automate the saxophone’s expression and modulation(vibrato) to sound somewhat realistic, I’m happy that that came through and that it’s the most prominent good part of the track!

I love this so much! It’s so calm and atmospheric, the polar opposite of what I’d expect from an arcade game’s soundtrack! I loved the Horn taking the melody, Horns don’t get the melody enough imo The Triangle too is pretty nice and adds quite a bit to the piece

The only thing I have to really critique is that there’s a little too much reverb in the clarinet compared to the horn(or not enough reverb on the horn I guess?), it feels a tiny bit out of place when the horn comes in. Otherwise, it’s fantastic!

This is super nice!! I love how happy and fun it sounds!! I got major Yoko Shimomura vibes from this, it’d 100% fit in an old school style JRPG!

Such an Interesting concept! I’m not a huge fan of super grungy, abrasive music like this, but it’s a really interesting concept, I love the instrumentation, the Drums and Bass give a kind of scary kinda feel to it.
