thank you! I am used to much shorter game jams haha 3-15 days, so a month will be awesome! I will try to make that my project for mermay

I know it's an art jam buuuut I wanna make a mermaid game and this would be a great motivator!!

I loved the extra challenges and I loved playing it! Such an adorable game <3

The art is so cute!! I'm glad I was able to try it now, and it's awesome to play it in the browser especially! I was very impressed by the tutorial, and though I was still confused at the beginning because it's not the kind of mechanic I'm used to, eventually I couldn't stop playing! Well done <3

Wow congrats on completing the gameplay! This was a great improvement from part 1 <3

Omg I haven't seen that bookshelf bug! I did notice the ballerina frame is in the wrong area hahah it will be fixed quickly after the jam ends. Thanks for the lovely feedback! <3

I'm happy to hear that!! Thank you very much <3

Brooooo this game is gaslighting personified , thank you for making me go crazy delulu insane but having fun while at it?? Insane game??? Crazy!! Awesome! xD

Amazing game! I loved the visuals so much and the humor too. I hope you consider making a more complicated mystery in this exact style in the future, I'd love it!

Sooo pretty <3 I loved the new additions, and your writing is beautiful! I can see this as a longer game OR especially as a journaling game where I could write something new each day and add pretty stickers <3 the pixel art is all so beautiful

the ending was so unexpected!! I loved the little guitar animation in the end, plus I'd love to have more dress up games from you! I loved the clothing options in this game.

It's sooo pretty! I love the new changes you added such as new cases for the pocket pet. I also was doing great and won every time now B-) The only thing that confused me a little was seeing the charms from round 1 in round 2. it may have been better to add the new ones on top, but maybe would also miss the old ones that way. the time felt less rushed now but still now slow, so thanks for that part too! overall amazing game and hope you also had fun! <3

Such a beautiful game!! I loved the new levels, and I think this would be amazing as a mobile game especially, would love to see more games from you in this style <3 Also the music was very cozy and fitting with the game.

such a great game!!

unfortunately i broke the car twice xDD i apologize for breaking the game, i got the streamer curse.

joking aside, this is so cool!! I think you have the most collaborative game in a special way with everyone's stickers. i usually find decorating alone to be cute but not enough to be replayable, so this feels so unique to me. well done!! i hope you had lots of fun as well <3

thank youuu!! <3

thank you!! Ye we need to add a hover effect and an E indicator there, it really was just a matter of timing :') thanks for playing!!

Hii thank you so much!! I can't wait to try your game again, I know you did some crazy improvements. Unfortunately some of the shop tabs went missing when exporting, I hope you can watch the video in the description to see the missing parts!

Choppy is so cute! Here's some feedback from my first playtest:

  • In the first screen, it would be nice to have a "press ... to start". Maybe it's obvious in a GB but not in the computer.
  • It would be nice to be able to skip the intro for people who are replaying the game.
  • After getting the flashlight, I activated it in the inventory but was unable to use it. Then I saved the game, and when coming back to the game, the "Game Saved" dialog box never left, so I was unable to do anything else after that.
  • It can be pretty hard to understand what is clickable or not. Some of the clickable places (like to change rooms) seem pretty random and inconsistent. Either having consistent click placements or having a visual indicator of where is clickable would improve the experience, in my opinion.

Good luck with the rest of the development!

Thank you!! :)

Aww thank you so much for the kind feedback!! The exit job button has been mentioned more times so it's def not just you xD we'll add these to the improvements list! <3

Thank you for playing!! Those two things are already on our notes, so hope you get to try it again in part 2 :)

I agree with another comment about the sparkle effect not being enough to identify the current ammo. I think the art all looks very good and consistent. It would be very nice if I could resize the window properly tho, since the window is so tiny. But still it's a very finished game, well done!

I love the art so much! The little faces on the ingredients were especially cute <3 I think the only thing I would improve here, is having the same z-index order on preview as when you place the item.

And maybe having a notebook where you can see the information you've received so far.

I couldn't really figure out much of the gameplay, but the concepts in the description are very pretty, so I'm curious to see part 2!

This is a very cute idea <3 I saw your other comment mentioning hints, and I think that would be really helpful. And maybe a minimap, or at least a hint on how to return to the pond again.

I can't wait to see what you have in mind for part 2! Since this is still a rough demo, I don't have a lot of feedback to give you. The only thing is maybe it would be interesting to see my gameplay choices have an effect on the game. So maybe the flowers only grow where I'm polinating them, and not randomly.

Sooo prettyyy, I loved the artstyle of the outfits and also the detective hahah

I wish there was an ending where I'm so cute and stylish that the detective just can't resist me even with blood stains

I think this is a cute idea with potential, and I know from the description that you will still make improvements, so I will only comment on the improvements I think are more crucial for the gameplay. The adding ingredients to the mixing table is a bit fail-prone, it's easy to put then on the table but not inside the minigame, and it feels like that could easily be fixed with adjustments to the collision areas. For the mixing, I was confused because I didn't realize I had to click the ingredients after I had supposedly added them already. It would be nice to have a progress bar to know if I'm doing the right thing or not. In the oven stage, I didn't understand the purpose of closing the door, or if it was needed, and why the progress bar gets hidden when I close the door. I burned 3 cakes, until I realized the purpose was not to get the green bar to be full. I think those were the main parts that affected my experience. I'm curious to see how part 2 will look!

It's a cute idea, it reminds me of Sue's Secret Garden a little. There's still little to do, but I'm curious to see how it will look like in part 2!

(1 edit)

Hi, I really like this game, especially the art, and I think this would be amazing as a mobile game! I did encounter some challenges with the UI feedback, because when the board is looking fuller, there's no way to distinguish if a piece is predefined or if it's mine, so I wish there was a way to differentiate them. Also at times, I selected one color and a completely different one appeared, so it felt buggy at times. If that could be improved for part 2, I have no idea what else could be needed really. Even the UI looks quite cute too.

Also! For some reason when I finished it, it told me I had 2 wrong moves? T,T I was so confused, how is that even possible? It would be nice to know what that means, and which ones.

Loved the outfit choices! Instead of going to the party, I get a gray screen, I was unsure if it's unfinished or if I got a bug. Either way, I'm curious to see part 2!

It's quite silly and I liked it, but when I started I was so curious about the giant frogs that I didn't realize I was in a race xD The main thing I'd like to see improved is some sort of guidance about the path to take, because if I go in first place  I have no idea where to go.

I won't comment a lot since VN's are not my style of game, but just wanted to say the art looks really cool and consistent throughout, and congrats on making a polished game in so little time!

I think this idea is cute and has potential, but currently it's so slow that it doesn't really feel like a game. The text is unskippable, and the soot thingies are very few. I think this needs a little more interactivity to be fun to play, but I do think it's a very cute concept and I am curious to see how part 2 will look like!

The art is all so beautiful! The gameplay could be improved in some places such as:

  • The arrows in the basket game could be not just clickable but also allow for keyboard input. As a mobile game the on screen arrows make sense, but in a computer it's much more frustrating to play like that. And also, the score has very little contrast, so I didn't even realize at first that I was playing for a score. When I realized there was a score, I didn't know if there was an end goal or if it was just go the highest you can. So it would be nice in each game with a score to know the end goal or current progress.
  • The rope jumping game starts out way too slow I think.
  • The fishing game is very confusing because everything is so tiny, I didn't even realize there was a hook. It would help to add a line at the top of the hook too, and in general to increase the size of all moving assets.
  • The one with the ladybug icon that resembles pacman, I ate all the boots and nothing happened, not sure if it was a bug?

Unfortunately I also got the window size bug :c But the art is sooo cute!! I can't wait to play it in part 2! <3

wow that’s amazing! Do you have art socials i can follow?

ahh we can consider that! I thought about it before and thought maybe if the doll has an idle it looks less like a doll. But I suppose the walk isn’t doll-like either 🤣 thank you for playing!!

Thank you so much!! If your daughter has a favorite theme for the calico critters/sylvanians show me some pics, and I can try to add something similar for her 🥹💖

Thank you! :)
